Party Favors

Ka'Hal sighed as he walked through the dimly lit streets of the city block he lived on, trying not to disturb the homeless that slept on the streets. He didn't even want to look at them, not because of who or what they were but because they were a painful reminder of his future in a few short weeks. Ever since the dawn of robotics the city had experienced at once a tremendous economic boom and a hard unemployment fall. Thousands of people found themselves without jobs in a matter of months; those who could managed to get jobs in the surging robotics and electronics field, but many were caught in the tide and quickly found themselves unable to get the barest of work.

It was that reason why Ka'Hal was hoping on the bus and heading to one of the richer parts of the city. At only 22 years old he had opted out of going to specialist school or the military and decided to make his money doing manual labor instead for a construction company. Unfortunately he soon found himself watching a robot lift girders that would have taken him ten times as long hoisting over with a machine, a pink slip in his own hand like everyone else that worked there. He had enough saved up that he wasn't immediately put out on the streets, but after nearly three months with no work his funds ran dangerously low and he had gotten increasingly desperate.

It was that desperation that brought him to one of the city's massive high-rises, the top of the building obscured by clouds as he looked down at the ad that he was about to answer. What he was going in for was a long-shot by anyone's standards, but if he fit then the pay would more than support him. Even so he still found himself grimacing slightly as he walked into the huge building and up to the marble desk, showing the receptionist the ad and giving her his name. His mood only darkened as the robotic secretary immediately told him where to go, a painful reminder of why he was even there in the first place as he went up to the brass doors of the elevator and waited for it to come down. Once he was inside the lift it began to go up automatically, Ka'Hal feeling his ears pop slightly as he continued to rise for what seemed like ages.

Finally the elevator made a small ping noise as the doors opened once more, feeling slightly light-headed as he moved through the entrance of the office. For a second he wondered if he even went to the right place, though as he opened a set of glass doors he found the now-familiar logo of the split double-helix emblazed on the front doors and the inner walls. When he reached what he believed to be the reception area he found it to be empty, Ka'Hal quickly sitting down on one of the plush chairs and putting his head between his legs as he got over his vertigo.

After about a minute he felt a hand on his shoulder, looking up to see a glass of water in his face. "Here, this should help your body adjust to the altitude." A female voice said, Ka'Hal thanking her and taking the glass. The water was so clear and refreshing that he found himself drinking down the entire glass in one go, letting out a refreshed ahh before handing the glass back.

Ka'Hal was just about to ask for another when he actually looked at the woman for the first time, his jaw dropping slightly. While the woman was distinctly humanoid she had facial features like that of a fox, her vulpine muzzle and ears covered in a layer of white fur. She also had a thick, fluffy tail waving around behind her, and as he looked down at the hand that he gave the glass too it was also covered in fur and tipped with short, black claws.

"Looks like it's also our first time visiting our offices." The vixen said with a small smile. "You are Ka'Hal, correct? Doctor Anders is ready for you to begin your screening."

Ka'Hal just nodded as he got up, his brain still trying to process the information in front of him as he followed her into the back room. He had always heard of human genetic modification before, in fact it was the entire reason he was there, but to see a modded human right in front of him also made him feel dizzy once more. Thankfully the Doctor appeared to be completely human as they entered the examination room, the older male giving him a friendly handshake before dismissing the vixen and the two of them sat down.

"Alright, so you are interested in joining the ranks of the modded." Doctor Anders said as he pulled out a clipboard. "Your on-line test results were very good, you seem to have great mental and emotional stability which can handle the transformation process and your potential future employer has seen enough promise for you to go into the next stage. Unfortunately there is one more pass-fail test that you must go through before we can give you the treatment, we have to genetically screen your entire genome to make sure that it can handle the rather invasive nature of the DNA modification process. Now with your permission we will go into the next room and begin the test."

Ka'Hal looked down nervously as he suddenly saw the release form for the testing process in his hands, his hand trembling slightly as he signed his name on the electronic tablet. "Let's do this." He said, quickly scribbling his name down on the form.

"Very good." The doctor replied. "If you'll follow me..."

**********************************************************

Hours passed until Ka'Hal returned to that same examination room once more, dressed only in an examination gown as he anxiously awaited the return of his results. The process itself had been rather intense, his entire body being scanned before they took a pint of blood out of him and then submerged him in a strange vat filled with an orange goo. He had to stay in the strange substance for nearly an hour in itself until he was finally pulled out and showered off, then ushered back in as the doctor and the strange woman worked on his test results. He wished that there was something in the room to do, instead he was left only with his own thoughts as he seriously began to reconsider what he was doing there in the first place.

Finally the door opened and the doctor walked in, holding a large folder that was filled with various papers. "Alright Mr. Ka'Hal, the results are complete." Doctor Anders said with a small grin. I must say that it is quite the surprise to find that your genetic structure has a %97.65 fluidity rate."

"Um... is that a good thing?" Ka'Hal replied, slightly confused.

"For your new profession that is a very good thing." Doctor Anders confessed. "It's very rare to find anyone with a genetic fluidity rate above %90, it opens up some very exciting possibilities for your treatment options. Now we have the standard procedure, which will include an implant to help stabilize any changes that you would be making to your physical form as well as eliminate the pain factor, however the extent of your changes would be limited and you would need some downtime between mods. What I can offer you however is a nano-based transfusion that will allow your changes to be more substantial and take place within minutes but also allow you to need virtually zero downtime between them!"

Ka'Hal could see that the doctor was very excited about the prospect, especially as he handed him the paperwork for the transfusion. "Why not just go with the special treatment then?" Ka'Hal asked.

"Well, there is one drawback." Doctor Anders replied, his tone becoming slightly more anxious. "The first treatment is reversible, the implant can be taken out and the DNA can return to its original human form quite easily. The second treatment... well, your genetic code will be forever altered, even if you coded a mod to the body you have now you can never be considered human again. You'd have to be... reclassified."

Ka'Hal nearly dropped the papers at that last word, realizing what the doctor was talking about. In the advent of new genetic research there were several missteps along the way, sometimes resulting in people becoming inexplicably altered. They were often called 'sub-humans', or a more derogatory term of 'monsters', and as far as the planetary government was concerned they did not get the same rights as humans. To give up one's humanity willingly was a huge price, even if it was for a precious job.

"Now I know that can be a scary prospect." Doctor Anders quickly said, sensing the young man's shift in attitude. "I've already spoken to your employer and they said that if you agree to this then not only will you be guaranteed a job for the rest of your life, but they will also completely cover the procedure and give you a place to stay in the Marble district and protect you even with your sub-humanity. They already faxed over the contract for you to look over, and they said this is a once-in-a-lifetime offer, and I have to agree with them."

Ka'Hal felt his brain going into overdrive as he flipped through the thick stack of papers, though they could have been written in symbols for how much he was able to translate through the legalese. This wasn't merely a job for him anymore, if he accepted the more radical procedure then this would be his way of life from now on. Sub-humans were looked down upon by society in general, even his friends and family would probably not consort with him anymore if he decided to go through it and they found out what they had become. But still... as his thoughts turned to home he remembered the people on the streets, trying to survive and probably willing to kill for an opportunity like the one he was given. Even if he took the first procedure there was no guarantee for how long he kept the job, not to mention that he would have to pay his new employer for half the cost of the procedure...

"Welcome to the future I guess." Ka'Hal said as he signed his life away, handing the papers back to the doctor. "When do we start?"

"The room is already prepped and waiting our arrival." Doctor Anders said as he electronically sent the files before pulling out an auto-syringe. "This will effectively knock you out for the procedure."

Before Ka'Hal could ask anything he felt a slight pressure on his arm as the doctor pressed the injector against his skin, hearing him call for his assistant as everything began to grow brighter...

************************************************

The next thing Ka'Hal knew he was sitting in the back of a very nice town car, the lights of the city whizzing past as he tried to get his bearings. As he looked in the front seat he saw that it was completely automated, which meant that he couldn't ask what was going on. When he looked out the window he quickly realized that he was in the Marble district, the high-rise residential district built a lot like the office building that he had just come from except there were a lot more of them. The streets were also a lot cleaner than his old residential neighborhood, not a homeless person or piece of trash in sight as the car rolled to a stop.

Once Ka'Hal got out of the car and closed the door it drove off immediately, leaving him standing there in front of the huge building. "Guess this is my stop." The young man muttered to himself as he walked into the building. Again he found himself looking at the face of a robotic steward, and after he gave it his name he was handed a small envelope with a room number on it. When he opened the envelope he found two things; a biometric scanner and an identification card. The card was just like his old identification card except that his address had been changed to the building he was in and the word 'shifter' was emblazed in holographic ink all over it.

"Shifter... never heard of that term before." Ka'Hal said as he walked up to the elevator and went up to the floor specified by the envelope. For the second time that day he felt his ears pop as he got out of the elevator, though the vertigo wasn't nearly as bad as he began to walk down the hallway. He was amazed by the level of elegance in the hallway alone, the lights all working and the carpet completely intact. When he got to the room number specified he realized what the biometric scanner was for, a biolock on the door instead of any traditional key-based lock.

After he made sure that he was at the right door he put his finger in the scanner, wincing slightly as it took a sample of his DNA. Once that was finished the lights on both the door and the scanner began to flash, the two devices syncing with one another for a few seconds before both sets turned a bright green. With that Ka'Hal opened the door, glad that the process was a one-time thing and now he only needed to touch the biolock for it to recognize his stored biometric signature. "Home sweet home I guess..." the young man muttered to himself as he stepped passed through the threshold into the apartment.

The first thing that struck him was the space; his last apartment he could have cooked from the seat of his toilet but in the place he just walked in there were multiple rooms. The living room was in an area of the floor that was sunken in and surrounded by windows while off to a side a huge kitchen stood completely with a small island in the middle. As he walked further inside he counted six more doors, something that amazed him as he walked down into the living room and ran a hand along the overstuffed sofa that sat in front of a very wide projector screen. He closed his eyes and sighed as he felt the material of the furniture under his fingers, the smooth material very unlike the harsh synthetics that he was used to having to live with.

"Wait until you see you bedroom." Ka'Hal suddenly heard behind him, causing him to jump slightly as he spun around. Right behind him was a rather athletic leopard, a water bottle in one hand and a towel draped over his shoulder. The feline was clad in only a pair of athletic shorts as he took a drink, then offered it to Ka'Hal who quickly declined. "Sorry if I frightened you, just finishing a workout and didn't hear the door open. I'm Dra'coi, your roommate and fellow shifter."

"Roommate?" Ka'Hal asked, still in awe over the creature's body.

"Of course, you don't think the company would allow just one person to occupy such a posh space?" Dra'coi replied with a chuckle. "Don't worry though, you have your own personal room. You should be grateful, the workers with just the basic package and implant are stacked eight to a room a fourth of this size and with none of the perks. Speaking of, you want some pizza? I was just about to order."

At first Ka'Hal was about to refuse, but before he could even get the words out his stomach quickly raised a voice in protest. "I guess I could eat." He replied sheepishly before he gave the leopard man his favorite toppings. As he sat down on the couch he heard the other male order six pizzas, two of them with his order before hanging up the phone. "That's a lot of food, there are party here or something?"

"Nope, it's all you and me." Dra'coi replied with a huge grin as he leapt up and vaulted over one of the chairs with expert style before falling into the seat. "You haven't changed yet but I remember my procedure, that hunger quickly creeps up on you when the nanites are still adjusting themselves to your physiology. Also make sure you're drinking a lot of fluids tonight, otherwise you're going to feel like you have the worst hangover of your life come morning... or afternoon, whenever your body decides to wake up for the first time after the procedure."

Ka'Hal's head was spinning by the time the leopard had finished throwing him all that information, the confused human taking a second to process it before speaking up. "You sure there isn't some sort of pamphlet that I can read or something?" He asked, once more causing the leopard to chuckle.

"Gene-modding is one of the most heavily regulated industries in the world." Dra'coi replied. "And creating a shifter... well, that's borderline illegal even with the person's consent. Luckily for us and our employers the powerful people of the world like to have their toys as much as the next person, which is why we're treated the way we are by them. One good shifter can make in a single session what a regular modder would take months to get."

"Yeah, that's another question I have actually." Ka'Hal admitted. "What does this company want us for? The advert was rather vague on the details..."

"Heh, they didn't explain it to you?" Dra'coi replied. "The must have wanted you really bad, what's your fluidity?"

It took a second for Ka'Hal to realize that the leopard was talking about his genetic fluidity. "%97.6... something."

"No wonder!" Dra'coi replied with a whistle. "I'm considered a valuable asset at %95.86, the higher your percentage the easier it is for you to accept new variations. It's rumored that those at over %99 can change their forms just by thinking about it, supposedly quite a sight to behold. In any case, the best way I can explain it is that we're part of party décor for the exceedingly wealthy and fabulous. For example I had just gotten done with a zoo-themed party, guy had half a dozen shifters portraying various feral and anthro animals for their guest's bemusement. Hate to think what that set him back..."

Ka'Hal's brain was loaded with more questions, but by that time the food had arrived and it appeared that Dra'coi's focus immediately shifted on the loaded down pizzas. As Ka'Hal started to dig in himself he quickly realized that the leopard had spoken the truth, the first bite feeling like it had unleashed a monster inside his gut that screamed for more. By the time he had finished his second pizza the ravenous hunger had abated, though it was quickly replaced by a feeling of tiredness as he struggled to get onto his feet. Dra'coi was more than willing to help, lifting his body up with surprising strength as he stumbled towards the room. Unfortunately he didn't even make it to the door before he blacked out, feeling his center of gravity shift before those strong hands grabbed onto him tight...

**********************************************************

The next time Ka'Hal came to he was surrounded by total darkness, his body lying on something very soft as he laid there trying to get his bearings. Somehow he had managed to strip himself down to his boxers, feeling the rare coolness of an A/C system against his bare skin. He guessed that he was in his bedroom, somehow making it there from the night before. As he shifted his body his hands slid across the silky material, looking for an edge of the bed in order to try and find a light switch or something that could help him figure out his exact situation.

About halfway down the bed he bumped into something soft on the bed, what he could only assume was one of the pillows as his fingers trailed up the rather large object. As he managed to slide his arm over it his fingers grazed across something curious, it felt like a button had been sown into the object as he traced his finger it to try and discern what exactly he was touching. Suddenly the low noise that he had assumed was the fan of the A/C stopped, Ka'Hal realizing he was pressing against fur as the thing shifted under his touch.

"Well good morning to you too." A familiar voice said in the darkness. "Lights on."

Suddenly there was a flash of light as Ka'Hal could clearly see the half-naked leopard man sprawled out next to him on the bed, jerking his own body back so hard he tumbled backwards and fell head over heels onto the soft carpeting of the floor.

"Ouch, that looked painful." Ka'Hal heard as he saw Dra'coi poke his head over the edge of the bed, looking down at him with his tail wagging in the air.

"Wha... what the hell?!" Ka'Hal shouted as he quickly got back to his feet, rubbing the lump forming on the back of his head. "Why were you in bed with me? ...did you undress me?!"

"Well, you did most of the undressing yourself with my help." Dra'coi replied. "Then you passed out and pinned me against the bed. I didn't want to disturb you so I was just going to wait until you were completely asleep and try and slip out, but I guess I must have fallen asleep as well. Did you know you're prone to spooning in your sleep?"

"What?!" Ka'Hal nearly screamed.

"You were the big spoon if that helps." Dra'coi said flippantly as he got up off the bed and stretched. "I'm going to make breakfast, you're welcome to join me once you're done freaking out."

Before Ka'Hal could say another word Dra'coi walked out of the room, grabbing his athletic shorts and sliding them up over the spandex compression shorts he wore. It took a few seconds for the young man to realize where he was and the events leading up to it, slowly standing up and looking around. Despite the opulence the bedroom was sparsely furnished, a bed taking up most of the space with a small nightstand next to it. On one side of the room a door led into a small personal bathroom, while the other led to a closet filled with several outfits that actually fit him. As he thought more about the previous night while he dressed he realized that the leopard had actually been rather nice to him in trying not to disturb his sleep, something that he was already warned he would desperately need. Not to mention that the other male had been nothing but nice to him since they met, something that caused his regret and embarrassment to deepen.

"Hope you like eggs and bacon." Dra'coi said as he shoveled the huge pile of fluffy, golden eggs on the two plates.

"Yeah, thanks." Ka'Hal said as he went up to the barstool and sat down at the breakfast bar area. "Hey... I'm sorry for overreacting about the whole bed thing, you were just helping me out and it just surprised me."

"No worries, I understand." Dra'coi replied with a small smirk. "You're still adjusting to your new life and that can be difficult. I should have gotten out as soon as I realized that you had let me go, but I was so tired that I had fallen asleep again. Speaking of your new life you need to eat up, we have an event to prepare for."

"Already?" Ka'Hal asked as he felt a sudden growl in his stomach, the food tantalizing him as the other male gave him a fork. "Don't I get any down time or something?"

"Considering the amount of credits they just pumped into you be glad that you didn't wake up already attending some sort of event." Dra'coi chuckled. "With the genetic revolution going on modders and shifters are in extremely high demand, especially shifters. Plus activating your nanites early helps your body interface with them better and can even increase your genetic fluidity a bit, so having an event this early is actually a boon the more you think about it.

Ka'Hal wanted to question him more, but the delicious smell was overwhelming and he spent the next five minutes wolfing down the hardy breakfast. Once his plate was finally clear and the gnawing hunger in his stomach abated was he ready to ask questions. "So what is this event?" The young male asked, the leopard's smile growing even more as he ate himself.

"Well from what I was told it's going to be an ancient Mayan party." Dra'coi said as he poured a clear liquid into two shot glasses and handed one to Ka'Hal. "Here's to your first job, salud."

Ka'hal was a little surprised that the leopard was offering him a drink when it was still in the afternoon, but after the day and night he had he didn't mind having a bit of a pick me up. They both drained the glass at the same time, though Ka'Hal could not identify the type of liquor as he set the glass down on the countertop. After a few seconds he began to feel a strange warmth seep through his body, looking up at Dra'coi in confusion. What he saw though was even more shocking, the leopard's fur receding back into his body.

"What's...happening..." Ka'Hal said, his voice hissing slightly as he felt his scalp began to itch. As he brought up his hands to his head he was shocked to find that his short, brown hair that he had all his life was completely gone, the skin taut and smooth. When he felt a pinch against his bald head he brought his hands in front of his face he found that his fingernails had darkened to black, the edges growing slightly pointed as the skin around them began to grow hard and scaly.

"It's called a primer." Dra'coi hissed back, his fur completely gone and his skin turning a deep forest green as scales appeared over his bare chest. "You're lucky, your first change is going to be very... exotic. Just let the changes happen, the nanites know what they're doing. Now come on, we don't want you to be late for your first gig."

As the two of them got up Ka'Hal nearly fell over, his sense of balance distorted as his face began to swell out and his fangs began to lengthen. By the time they had gotten down to the car that was waiting for them and on their way his body had become very reptilian, his ears melting into his skull as the color drained away from his eyes. His new scales had turned a frosty blue instead of a forest green, which itched slightly as they drove down to a new district and an even more posh section of the city. Unlike the high-rises that he had just moved into these were mansions, all of them very lavish and well protected as they turned up the marble driveway. When they pulled up to the back of the huge house they were immediately beset by security, asking to see their identification cards.

"Whoa..." Ka'Hal said as he looked down at his, seeing the picture in the corner as that of a blue-scaled snake man in profile. "Is that... me?"

"Oh yeah man, your picture is connected to the nanites in your system that help hold the genetic pattern that you received." Dra'coi said with a grin as he showed his own card to the huge man. "Whatever you look like is what it shows on the picture, helps the government identify shifters who have more... criminal uses for their powers."

Ka'Hal just looked at him dumbfounded before a grunt from the officer in front of him prompted him to quickly hand over his own identification. Once they were cleared they were allowed into the back room 'staging area', where servers dressed in skimpy leather and hide loincloths loaded up trays with food and drink. The food smelled exquisite, and as they continued to move through the room Ka'Hal found his thinner tongue flicking in and out. At first he thought it was weird, but as he looked over at his friend he found him doing the same thing.

"Oh good, you're both here." A tall, rather lanky man with a clipboard said as he saw the two scaly males approach. "The young master will be seeing you during the celebration as decoration, and then we have arranged for a private party later with a little entertainment. I trust that you will be able to keep 'in character'?"

"Of course." Dra'coi answered for both of them as he grabbed the clipboard and signed the electronic pad, then gave it back in exchange for two glass vials. "Just let us get into our final form and we'll slither on out as soon as we can."

Once the rather stuffy man walked away Ka'Hal looked over at Dra'coi, who grinned at him as he gave one of the containers to him. "Care to explain?" Ka'Hal asked with a small frown, trying to keep up with the whole situation.

"Well, bottoms up first, then we can talk." Dra'coi replied, the two of them clinking the glass together before drinking it. The taste was a lot like the first shot he was given, with a slight metallic aftertaste to it. He felt his scales began to thicken, especially down near his legs. He followed Dra'coi's lead as he saw the former leopard pull his clothes off, his balance wavering slightly as he felt the skin of his groin begin to pull down.

"Alright, so here's the deal." Dra'coi explained as he held onto one of the marble countertops, Ka'Hal trying to focus on the words but having a hard time as he saw the other male's erect cock sink into the scaly groin and his legs merge together. "I guess this is a birthday party, and the birthday boy seems to have a particular affinity for ancient civilizations. From our legs it looks like we're going to be nagas."

"I get that part." Ka'Hal replied, hissing deeply as his tongue was getting used to his new fangs. "What about the private party and this whole 'in character' business?"

"Eh, I'll leave that part as a surprise." Dra'coi said as he stood back up, though 'standing' was a stretch as his fully merged legs stretched out into a proper naga tail. Ka'Hal's was not far behind, the muscles of his body expanding and thickening as he watched the last of his scaly feet push together into a blunted tail tip. His bones popped as his spine lengthened into his new coils and allowed him to move the thick slab of muscle that was his new body. It should have hurt, but all he could feel was that pervasive warmth as his form was lengthened from six feet to eight, then to ten as he held his upper body upright.

"This is... amazing..." Ka'Hal said as he slithered around a bit, coiling around himself and getting used to his new body to Dra'coi's amusement. After a bit of fooling around they were guided by the same man who had the clipboard into the main ballroom where the party was being held, Ka'Hal's jaw dropping open in amazement. It was like he had stepped into a real jungle, the party guests all dressed up in either nice suits or animal costumes. In the background a huge Mayan pyramid stood proudly, no doubt casted by holoprojectors as the guests milled about.

As Ka'Hal took the whole scene in he heard them announced as 'guardians of the sacred temple' though the newly created naga was far more interested in the looks that they were getting. The two had drawn in quite a few stairs, some people even clapping as they slithered into the main hall. Ka'Hal for the most part watched the more experienced shifter as he mingled with the crowd, some people merely asking questions while others in jungle garb seemed content to role-play with them that they really were some sort of ancient protectors. The most jarring thing though was when people came up to touch him, his body shivering every time someone caressed his scaly hide. With the music blaring and the constant stream of people he had a hard time keeping track of time, the only indicator was the sun that moved across the ceiling towards the temple itself. He hadn't even seen the birthday boy, even when they came over to help present the cake it was a young man who started everything off.

"Alright it appears that the sun is setting on this party." Ka'Hal suddenly heard over the loudspeakers as he chomped down on a beef skewer, amazed that the time had flown by so quickly. "If everyone would please make their way to the exits, we hope you enjoyed yourselves."

In the next few minutes the people quickly disbursed, leaving him alone in the still buzzing jungle. It wasn't long though before he was joined by the deep green naga with champagne that he was finishing out of a stoneware glass. "Not bad for your first job, pretty tame in my opinion." Dra'coi commented as he put the cup aside.

"This is tame?" Ka'Hal replied as he gestured all around him. "This whole set up must have cost hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions of dollars! I went up to that temple hologram and you can actually go inside it! Plus look at us, the kid has a jungle fixation and he gets two nagas just to entertain?"

"Well rich people do throw the best parties." Dra'coi said as he looked at his watch. "Also this isn't for a kid, the guy is twenty-eight, which means that we're probably going to have a lot of fun when the secondary commands of this nanite program kick in soon."

"Wait, what?" Ka'Hal asked the other grinning naga in confusion. "What sort of... secondary... comm..." the rest of his words came out in a slur as his eyelids fluttered slightly, his body slumping just a little bit. His brain grew increasingly sluggish, and as he managed to look up at his partner he saw that, though he had maintained far better posture then him, his eyes were glassy and a vacant expression overcame his face. For an unknown amount of time Ka'Hal stood there, his body almost completely unresponsive as he felt a heavy fox cover his thoughts...

...and just like that it was gone, Ka'Hal taking a second to take stock of his jungle surroundings. "What an odd feeling... how long was I standing here?" He hissed in annoyance as he looked up at the setting sun, his tongue flicking out of his mouth. "It does not appear that our patrol was interrupted at all..."

"Come on, guard brother!" Ka'Hal suddenly heard, looking further down the path to see Dra'coi already moving forward. "If we do not reach our temple post by nightfall then the gods will be angry with us!"

"I am coming!" Ka'Hal shouted back, quickly slithering up to the fellow guardian. "I would hate for the gods to be displeased with us and take back the forms they have so graciously given us."

Dra'coi nodded, both of them continuing on their patrols in silence as they moved towards the temple that would be their post for the night. Their reptilian eyes kept a stern watch for any sign of intruder or attacker, keeping abreast of their duties as best as possible. As much as Ka'Hal distained night watch he knew it was extremely important for their kind to keep a vigiliant eye during the night, since vagabonds and thieves took the darkness as an opportune time to try and sneak in and steal the treasures they guarded. Unfortunately for them, Ka'Hal thought with a smile, they were almost always unprepared for the nagas like him that devoted themselves as guardians of the land.

"Guard brother, there's a taste in the air." Dra'coi suddenly said, both of them flicking their tongues out. "Human... only one of them though it seems."

"Yes, human male." Ka'Hal hissed in agreement as they slithered forward. "It appears that he has already made his way inside the temple."

"Another fool for riches or glory." Dra'coi replied as a smirk crossed his face. "Let's show him what happens when you try to steal from us."

The two nagas stealthily moved through the already opened entrance of the temple, their scales scraping silently against the bare stone. No more than a few feet in they could already hear the intruder, the two looking at each other as they moved towards the light in the distance. As the got closer they saw the unmistakable shape of a human figure, clad only in a loincloth as it was bent over digging through their artifacts. When the two had gotten to within striking distance they both lashed out, the human letting out a loud cry as Ka'Hal's coils wrapped around him while Dra'coi gripped the thief's shoulders.

"Well well, someone poking around where they don't belong." Dra'coi said with a snicker, running a claw along the squirming human's face. "Perhaps we should return the favor... on your body."

"Please... please..." the human begged, trying his best not to look terrified though failing horribly. "It was an honest mistake, I didn't know... please just let me go..."

"I don't think so little thief." Dra'coi chuckled as his thin tongue flicked against the human's ear. "You were so eager to take from us, now we're going to take something from you. Unfortunately it appears all you have is your loincloth, but luckily for you my guard brother and I can take out your punishment by having you help us satiate our... other desires. What do you think Ka'Hal?"

"I think that is an excellent idea." Ka'Hal replied, shifting the human around in his coils to expose more of his upper half, a small smile creeping across his face as Dra'coi began to loop his own body around the exposed male. "Though the way he's quivering in my gasp I think he may enjoy this. Perhaps he got caught on purpose?"

Dra'coi only murmured as he led the human's trembling lips up to his groin, the scaled flesh of his slit pushing open and his tapered, reptilian member sliding out. It was clear that the thief did not need much prompting, as soon as his mouth was close enough to the glistening tip of the smooth flesh his tongue came out and began to lick it. The touch caused shivers to travel all the way down to the tip of his tail, Ka'Hal smiling in bemusement watching his guard brother tremble in delight.

"Such eager prey." Ka'Hal commented as he began to position the human in his coils. "Hopefully an eager hole as well."

Both nagas snickered, watching the entrapped human squirm in their grasp. It wasn't the first time that he and his guard brother had mete out punishment in this fashion, the two of them were often lonely as they protected their area and the occasional thief was a welcome distraction. He was glad that one of them happened by tonight as well, he was feeling the itch and was hoping he would get some relief. As that slick, smooth skin of the human pressed against his scales he could see his reptilian slit begin to part and his erection slide out into the open air. It wouldn't be exposed for long though, his tapered tip already pressing between the naked thief's butt checks.

Ka'Hal let out a long sigh as he felt the taut ring of muscle yield to his insistent demand for entrance, his slick flesh sliding into the male's hole as those inner walls flexed around him. It was almost as good a feeling as his guard-brother's vent, and the fact that they took it from that which was preparing to take from them made it even more delicious. The helpless human squirmed, but in the combined strength of their coils it was impossible for him to do anything but bask in the pleasure of their combined cocks penetrating his body.

For hours the two nagas held their prey, keeping their motions perfectly synced up as the human moved back and forth between their two members. They wouldn't cum for some time, but they would make sure the thief would several times before their incredibly enjoyable night was concluded...

*************************************************

When Ka'Hal awoke once more he found himself in a rather nice bed, the naga yawning and stretching. It took him a second for the previous night to come back to him, but once it did his pleasant morning immediately crashed around him and a look of horror overtook his face. He immediately rolled off the bed, his body flopping to the floor as it took him a few moments to once more get reacquainted with his body. As soon as he regained his senses fully he slithered off as fast as he could, trying to find someone that could give him a handle on the memories that were bouncing around his scaled skull.

His search eventually brought him to the kitchen, where Ka'Hal saw the 'thief', now clad in a very expensive looking bathrobe, talking with Dra'coi over coffee. "Dra'coi... what... what happened last night?" The naga stammered. "I... these memories..."

"I'm sure you're reeling a bit there, the memory degradation for the nanites takes a while but all the false past stuff will be gone within a few hours." Dra'coi stated nonchalantly before turning towards the human male. "He's new, showing him the ropes and such."

"Oh, I had the pleasure of a virgin shifter?" The man replied with a small chuckle, Ka'Hal still just standing there dumbfounded. "Well you certainly performed quite amirably for your first time, the whole scenario felt real I wondered if somehow I actually got taken back to those mythical times. But here I am going on about something that you were a part of, you probably want to get back to you own loft. I trust that you already have the confidentiality agreement in order?"

"Of course." Dra'coi replied, sliding up and moving over to the still stunned Ka'Hal and hooking around his arm. "We're just going to go now, thanks very much for your hospitality Councilman."

By the time that Ka'Hal was able to speak again the stunned naga had already been escorted all the way to the car and they had started to drive off of the property. By that time the entire false history that he had been given had disappeared enough to remember his own life and to form actual sentences. "What the hell was that?!" Ka'Hal finally shouted. "I just had sex with a guy as a naga while thinking that I was some sort of temple guardian!"

"You really should relax." Dra'coi replied as he poured himself a drink. "Though I have to say that I'm proud of you for not melting down in front of the client, some modders can't handle themselves and go into a full rant their first time. Plus you did great, and the memories are only there for the enjoyment of client."

Ka'Hal just stared at the other naga, his jaw dropping slightly. "How... how can you say something like that? We were just used to fulfill some rich guy's sick fantasy, and you're just going to sit there and be alright about it?"

Dra'coi stopped stirring his drink and looked up at him, and for the first time since he met him he saw a flash of anger from the other shifter. "What did I tell you?" He said, his voice cold. "We are not humans anymore, we have no right to say what we want and don't want. All we can do is keep in the company's good graces, because the second we aren't 'alright about it' is the second that they throw us on the street, which is the same thing as putting a bullet in our heads only its much, much slower. Get used to being considered an object, because to everyone in the outside world that's all you are now."

Ka'Hal gulped as he turned away from the intense stare of the other male, looking out the window as the first drops of rain began to fall on it. "What have I done..." he said quietly as the car joined the multitude of others in the busy city...
