New Purge City
Prologue
Okay, so this is more of a sneak peek than anything else but hopefully you enjoy it! It won't make sense until the later chapters, which i'll call episodes, when the story comes together. In advance, my stories may be shorter than most for lack of experience but please don't be gentle! I need the help from all of you! Thanks and enjoy! Also, I'm a slow typer, so I will take a while.
The heavy rain drenched the two furs as they stood on the mansion's rooftop patio. They stood there, not moving an inch. Their eyes are in a fierce deadlock. The larger of the two, a bull terrier, was holding a very large metallic object that resembled a key in one hand, and a gun in the other. He was in a frantic state and in a desperate need to escape. His gun was aimed directly at the husky at the other side of the roof in front of the door. The husky was holding a saber in an offensive stance. He also had a dark glare aimed straight at the bull terrier.
"Ripper, just give me the key. I want to go home," the husky yelled over the sound of harsh rain and forceful winds yelling back at him. "No! You're going to stay with me forever. I'm the only one you'll ever need! The only one who can take care of you. We can be happy together, and I can give you anything you want." The terrier took a step forward, wanting the husky to give in, let him hold him in his arms once again. The husky only got frustrated and yelled back, "The only thing I want is that key! Now hand it over!"
"Well you can't have it Saber! It's the only thing keeping you here at home with me!" He gripped the key tighter, almost cutting circulation to his large fingers. "My name is not Saber! And this is not my home Ripper! You can't lock me up and keep me here forever! You're just being selfish!" Tears started to swell up from the terrier's eyes. "I-I," he stammered as he took a step back, getting ever so closer to the edge, and started to cry. "I thought you LOVED me! I thought you cared! Why don't you want to be with me? I've done nothing but give, and give, and give and THIS is how you repay me? By leaving me all alone?"
"But I do love you! I do want to be with you, but we both know that I can't stay. I love you so much and you know that. Now please," Saber said taking a step forward, "give me the key so I can leave. I don't want to fight you." Ripper's eyes grew wide in fear. "S-Stay back, I mean it!" He took another step back and held the key over the edge of the roof. Saber couldn't let the key drop and be held here forever, so he started to charge, but a bullet flew straight into Saber, right above his left kidney.
Ripper stood in disbelief as saber fell unconscious on the floor. Their other best friend, Marmalade, was standing in front of the now open roof door holding a smoking gun. He slowly put the gun down to his side as he walked towards Ripper. "Oh thank god! Th-Thank you Marmalade. H-He almost got the key if it wasn't fo-" Marmalade puffed up his tiger fur and screamed back, "You LIED to me! You fucking liar!" Ripper dropped his gun in a state of panic. "W-Wait! It's not what you think! We're still friends!" The tiger almost roared back, "How DARE you say we're friends!" He started to briskly walk towards the terrier with his gun still pointed at him, stopping right before the unconscious husky that lay bleeding at his feet. Tears started to swell in his piercing cat eyes as he said, "You, i'll, I'll never forgive you! You bastard!"
Ripper tried to say something, but all he did was mouth, "I'm sorry," as a stream of blood flew out of his body. He staggered back and fell down the three floors onto the front lawn, losing consciousness on the way down; forming a pool of blood on the grass. Marmalade broke down crying and held Saber in his hands. He started sobbing, "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry..."
