The second part of my current running story, with a little bit of a view on Sebastians home life.

Comments welcome~

It was around 6 at night, as the otter had just arrived at his two floor house. It was a normal, middle class home, except the fact the grass was quite long and it seemed some cardboard was covering the front window. Sebastian didn't hear any yelling, for once, but then he realized both his mothers and his father's cars were gone. He sighed softly as he took out his key, opening the front lock with it.

"Bout time you got home Seb" a female voice said from the other side of the home. He walked towards it, into the kitchen. When he arrived, a slightly older, female otter was sitting on the counter. She was almost a few inches taller than Sebastian, but looked very different. She painted her claws a dark black, despite them already being black, and had very black lipstick on. Her hair was short, and as black as the rest of her features.

"Oh hey Ver. Where's the family?" Sebastian asked, calling his sister the name he gave her to counter her stupid nickname for him.

"For the hundredth time, it's Veronica. And apparently they fought again. Check the fridge." She said as she hopped off the counter, walking towards the cabinet. Sebastian didn't want to believe her but she was right. There was another hole in the wall, and a broken picture still barely hanging. Course he had become used to this. Seems the only people who didn't fight were Veronica, and his younger sister Katie, but she was too young to understand anything. He checked the note on the fridge, as it said:

_Dear Veronica and Sebastian,

Your father is at it again, he was late for his job which reduced his pay. He then decided to take it out on us. Long story short, I took your baby sister to your grandmother's house. You know the number. Your father is off staying at his fellow drunkasses house. Cant take the risk, if he comes home just stay in your rooms._

Sebastian just rolled his eyes as the note, and took it off the fridge. He opened it, looking around inside of it. "Well seems it's just you and me tonight Ver." He said, pulling out a bottle of cola.

"Wrong again, my rides coming in an hour. I'll be gone all night. You're walking tomorrow Seb." She said, taking out her box of cigarettes. Sebastian used to hate the stench of smoke, but sadly enough he is used to it now.

"Well fantastic." He said, gulping some of the cola. He then remembered the events in the locker room, hoping his older sister could give some insight. "Hey, you know Richard, the quarter back on my team?" he said, sitting in a chair.

"Richard Kingston? Yea I know bout him, what." She said, looking at him pretty intrigued.

"Well.. Just what do you know bout him?" Sebastian said, finishing the bottle. He put it next to the many beer bottles that littered the counter.

"Hmm.. hes a junior, you know that. He only got quarterback because the original one got in a freak accident, is in a wheelchair for the entire season.." she went on a bit, mostly about trivial things. "Oh and his locker number is B456.. why are you wondering?" she asked, suddenly getting a bit curious.

"Oh well I talked to him a bit before, wouldn't mind knowing a bit more. Since we lost touch after grade school." Sebastian remembered, about how Richard was his friend back when they were in school together. Course when Richard went to middle school without him, they lost touch, until this year when he finally met up again. Course back then they were barely close, just two friends on the playground.

"Well I know he hasn't dated any of the cheerleaders for at least a year. Strange since I've seen at least six ask him out." She said, snickering a bit, as if she knew something.

"Really? How do you know that?" Sebastian asked, as he went to the fridge to search for leftovers.

"Oh you hear things when you cut gym to hang out in the bathrooms." She snickered, cant helping but think a bit. "Hmm.. why the sudden interest in Kingston? You've been on the football team for at least a month, surprised you didn't ask sooner."

Sebastian's ears perked up a bit, as didn't know exactly why he took an interest. When walking home, he decided to keep a distance between Richard unless it was with football. Now he's playing 20Q with his sister on him! "Oh well.." he said, soon just grabbing some cold pizza. He blew her off and walked up the stairs.

"Well what?!" she yelled, soon shaking her head. "Seb why can't you ever just act normal for one day?"

Sebastian walked up to his room. He had a lock in the door, which luckily wasn't broken every time his parents quarreled. He unlocked it as usual, entering and quickly locking it up again. Ever since Sebastian's mother tried to hide in his room when she was fighting, he decided it's better to keep people out.

"Dammit Sebastian, why did you ask all those questions!?" he asked himself, tossing his backpack onto his bed. He sat down at his desk, and turned on his computer. He began to browse the usual sites, sighing to himself. He put his headset on, playing the usual music. The otter began to hum it softly, as he then started to sing the lyrics out loud.

He closed his eyes to listen to the soft rock which played, starting to calm down. He leaned back in his chair, as he began to just relax. But then suddenly Richard came back into his mind, causing him to open his eyes quickly. "God dammit."

He sighed as he reached over and grabbed his backpack, taking out the homework he couldn't get done at school. "Just.. try to keep your mind off of him.." Sebastian said to himself starting to do the geometry problems he had.

About an hour passed as the otter finished his homework entirely. He yawned a bit, soon having nothing left to do. Sebastian closed his eyes for just a few, soon opening them as he pictured the shower scene yet again. He groaned and flopped onto his bed, trying his best to get Richard out of his mind.

"What's with him.. I can't stop thinking.." he said as he grabbed out a magazine which he hid between the two mattresses that made up his bed. "Maybe some hot chicks will help hehe.." he snickered to himself, as he opened the dirty magazine which he had once swiped from his dad.

"Man.. I've been trying to stop this.. but after the day I've had I need it.." he said as he reached into his shorts. He hadn't done it in at least a month after feeling sick of it, but Sebastian needed a way to get Richard out of his mind.

But as the young otter looked over the somewhat crude pictures in the magazine, he couldn't focus on the girls, but instead the scene from earlier.

Sebastian groaned a bit, trying to get aroused but nothing was coming to him. He sighed and took the magazine, and stuffed it back under his pillow. "Dammit dammit dammit.." he repeated himself quite a bit.

The frustrated otter soon gave up, as he lied back and yawned loudly. He looked at the clock. Barely eight yet, but he was exhausted from the confusing afternoon he had. He soon doze off to slumber, snoring loudly on his bed with the lights still on.
