My Spider Dance Lyrics

#2 of Poetry

These lyrics popped into my head in the shower when the "Spider Dance" song from Undertale was stuck in my head. I'm not particularly a fan of Undertale, but let's not get into that. Here are my lousy, embarrassing lyrics to the tune of "Spider Dance". I don't feel good about them even though I was so excited to jot them down. I dunno. It's a challenge for me to feel good about this.

The wounded soldier crosses the battlefield;

what is the price of a purple heart?

His soul crusts over bitterly,

and I've got baking down to an art!

My wicked eyes see eight times what they wanna see.

Your miserly practice is oh so stingy.

I'll string you up into a recipe

that I learned from watching TV.

Monsters' blood like a tap runs hot and cold.

Duplicity is built into the fold.

It's the deja vu that I abhor,

'Cause I feel like we've been here before.

And a wounded soldier is like a broken cake;

There's no threading him back again.

Violet violence vaults his dreams,

Now let me hear your beautiful screams!

Climbing, falling, rising, shaking,

Feed you to my little pet

like a puppet on my strings

Gotta move faster

Think you can outlast her?

But be careful,

It might tear there.

Think you can cheap out on me?

I'll give you a lobotomy.

Monsters everywhere,

Are you a frightened terrier?

Gonna get scarier,

Slimier and hairier.

Slip through my web?

You'll never reach the barrier.
