#1 of Chikorita/Mudkip

As her trainer napped in the shade of a nice Oak Tree, Chikorita had been let out of her Pokéball to stretch her legs and explore.

As she was skipping through the woods, looking here and there, she suddenly froze as she saw him.

The most adorable Mudkip she had ever laid eyes on!

Chikorita instantly knew this Pokémon had to be caught for her trainer. This Mudkip was meant to be part of her trainer's Pokémon collection, and they were meant to travel the world together.

And as they traveled the world together, maybe their trainer would have them get... Married!

Chikorita squealed inside as she thought of the possibilities, dancing on her feet.

Chikorita looked back. Her trainer was too far away at the moment, if she ran back to the tree to send the alert, Mudkip would escape, and she would never see him again.

Chikorita's heart burst at the thought.

No. She would have to catch Mudkip herself.

Fortunately, Mudkip hadn't noticed her yet, and Chikorita slunk back into the bushes so he couldn't see her. She would do a sneak attack.

As Mudkip continued on his way, Chikorita silently followed.

Soon, Mudkip reached a pond, and he bentdown to drink some water, his hind legs sticking straight up, his tail held high in the air. Chikorita gasped. He was just so cute, she couldn't resist.

Leaping out of the bushes, she shot out Razor Leaf. The leaves sored through the air, right through his back legs, shattering into his body right above.

Mudkip instantly fell to his knees, front paws clasping between his back legs, crying out in agony. He had no idea what hit him.

Chikorita burst out snortling. She couldn't help it. Mudkip was just too cute and hilarious folded over like this.

But Mudkip's pain was beginning to ease. He looked back at Chikorita's laughter, and struggled to get back to his feet. Embarrassment flooded through him. Oh why did it have to be a cute girl Chikorita?

Chikorita was suddenly pulled back to herself as she noticed Mudkip was about to flee. No! She would not let that happen.

Vine Whip!

Vines sailed through the air. Chikorita had planned to wrap him around the legs, and drag him back to her trainer, but she missed both of them. Instead, the vine passed straight through his back legs, and wrapped around-

Oops!

Mudkip's face contorted. Chikorita's face went red.

The first time it was intentional... But this?

Chikorita looked back in the direction from which she had traveled. Mudkip was surely uncomfortable, but she had no doubt if she let him go now, even for a second, he would flee. Chikorita could drag him all the way back to her trainer as Mudkip was now, but even she knew that that was too much.

There was only one thing she could do.

Chikorita tightened the grip of the vine on Mudkip as much as she dared.

Mudkip dropped.

Sure there was no more fight left in him, Chikorita released the vines. Now, picking him up around the belly, she could carry him back to her trainer without any more undue agony.

When she reached the oak tree, her trainer was still napping. She held Mudkip above her, slowly regaining himself, but the fight all out of him.

Chikorita found a Pokéball on the ground, apparently having rolled out of a pocket.

Lowering Mudkip, she booped his nose onto the button, and in a moment, he was sucked away in red energy.

Ping! The Pokéball locked, Mudkip not even giving a fight.

Chikorita rubbed her vines together, pleased with herself. Her trainer now had a new Mudkip thanks to her. And together they would travel the world. Forever and for always, together. Her and Mudkip.

Chikorita's face lit up at the thought.
