#1 of Basic World Info

As of November 3rd, 2018: This post is outdated. While a majority of the ideas in this post still hold true, most of the details are inaccurate. Please read the more detailed works for current information.

This post describes the world where these stories take place. There are a lot of theoretical ideas in this post, and not all of them may be right. But this post serves as a base point for where the events take place. This is not a complete description; more will be added later. (Sorry if it is a bit scattered, my brain works this way. The stories themselves will be a lot more fluid.)

"Perfection is imperfect. It is impossible to achieve perfection, and doing so would be a massive waste of your life. But we should strive towards perfection. If we try to come as close as possible to perfection while keeping in mind that perfection itself is flawed, we will become the best of who we can be." -Self Quote

Vetraheil. The home planet of the Paranelli; parent species of Humans. Despite this planet being the size of Earth's orbit around the sun, it has nomal gravity. This is from years of experimentation to help prevent outsiders from getting crushed when visiting the planet. Vetraheil thrives with life, and no one knows why. This planet is by far outside of the so-called "Goldilocks Zone" by every means, and the sun is extremely large.

Situated on a subspace fragment, the sun is both a black hole and a star (somewhat similar to our own) simultaneously. As of right now, this is a Gold Star (It is literally fusing gold).

And yet, despite all these factors, Vetraheil is an extremely stable planet that has been around longer than time can remember. It is a little younger than reality, but much older than the universe (my theories on time will be discussed later on). Due to the amount of subspace fragments, the whole solar system is extremely stable and time locked. (Subspace is an interesting phenomenon, and will also be discussed later on.) No one knows who the first Paranelli was; all that is known is that they are almost as old as Vetraheil (relatively speaking). But we are not here to dwell on the past...

For Vetraheil contains one of the most advanced civilizations in all of reality.

The Paranelli are time travelers; traveling through every universe and exploring the reaches of life. But despite the Paranelli being the society with the greatest understanding of time, they are only a class 569 civilization [1].

These stories will mostly be focusing on two individuals: Teranis Ketronel and Feliday Helastar (These names are Family name first, given name second). Teranis Ketronel is a Time Agent for "The Organization" (Yes, that is it's actual name). She was raised in Fardon Prefecture on Vetraheil. At the age of 9, she met Helastar. Feliday Helastar is a Semi-Dragon Counselor (abr: SDC. As the name implies, the Dragons can either be humanoid or Dragon, but you typically don't know who is what. Helastar is a Dragon, but she is often confused for a human). Helastar met Ketronel when she was just a hatchling. Her mother got displaced during one of the great time wars while Helastar was still in the incubation phase. After she hatched, her mother discovered that a bounty had been placed on her head, and she left Helastar with the Teranis Family. Ketronel and Helastar immediately bonded with each other, and Ketronel raised her to the best of her ability.

These first stories will be focused on the time between when they first meet and when Ketronel starts at the University to become a time agent. Later stories will focus on other points in her timeline, but this will be the main focus of this first series.

Dragons are exceptionally rare. Out of the virtually infinite number of universes, only 28 are known to be able to support Dragons in their ecosystems. Not only do Dragons require extremely specific conditions (Both ecological and temporal), they also play a crucial role in the stability of the universe they exist in and the surrounding universes. A Dragon extinction is a worst case scenario, so there are specific provisions that allow the breaking if the Salmanine Protocols [5] in order to prevent the extinction of Dragons.

Despite popular stereotyping, Dragons are exceptionally kind creatures (At least for the most part. There are notable exceptions). They will go out of their way to try and comfort you. Normally, Dragons are limited by their biology in terms of evolution, so they normally wouldn't be able to get to the same levels as humans. However, this changed with the invention of Psycho-Net. Pshyco-Net allows for non-verbal communication, but it does not broadcast every thought of yours. Using Psycho-Net is similar to talking. As it implants instructions of it's use into your subconscious whenever you are on the network, there is a very minimal learning curve for becoming adept in using it. While Psycho-Net can be used for other species, it was specifically designed to allow humanoids and Dragons to communicate with each other without being too invasive in terms of privacy. The Psycho-Net system contains 2 main components: the Psycho-Net Transmitter and the Psycho-Net Receiver. In the early days, the Dragon would only wear the Psycho-Net Transmitter and the humanoid would only wear the Psycho-Net Receiver. As most Dragons can understand English but not speak it, this was the optimal solution at the time since the system was still flaky. But nowadays, almost all Psycho-Net systems contain both the transmitter and the receiver. There are two means of Psycho-Net implementation: implants and external systems. External systems for humanoids consist of a neck device with earpieces (similar to some modern-day wireless earbuds). For Dragons, it consists of a small capsule the size of about 3 stacked half-dollar coins. This is place on the Telnak Nerve in the neck. This bundle of nerves serves as a good communication point for Psycho-Net as it common across all Dragon types/variants. But this is also a weakness, as pinching this bundle of nerves causes an overload in the Dragon's senses and causes them to be temporarily paralyzed. However, most Dragons have evolved a patch of toughened scales to counteract this weakness.

There are 4 main variants of Dragons across universes. each typically having multiple species. The first main variant are the Heltier Dragons. These are the dragons you typically see in most medieval drawings or fantasy novels. Unlike the other variants, these Dragons are exceptionally aggressive. This is where the "all Dragons are evil" stereotype comes from. However, these Dragons only exist in one universe (U541L-97282. They used to also exist in U49417T-71, but they went extinct. Their extinction caused a class 372 temporal anomaly [6]). There are approximately 250 different species. The next variant are the Moresenov Dragons. These are the types of Dragons you see in How To Train Your Dragon. They are the second most rare Dragon variant, right behind the Heltier variants. There are approximately 2750 different species. The next variant are the Moonlight Dragons. These are the most widespread Dragons, found in a majority of the universes. They are based off of Cornelia Funke's book Dragon Rider. as their name suggests, they live off of moonlight (an interesting scientific process). There are approximately 25 known species. The final type is the Arianok Varient. These are the Dragons that live right next to Vetraheil, in universe U459Q-2. These are the most populous Dragon, despite being found in only one universe and having only one species. There are more of the Arianok variants than all the other variants combined. Helastar is a Arianok Dragon.

In this first series, Ketronel and Helastar grow up together, fighting through the challenges of life. But when they start becoming sexually active, how will they balance their normal life with their desire to be intimate with each other. And more importantly, what happens when their parents find out?

Here is my theory on time (simplified A LOT):

Put simply, time is a circle. The problem with most time theories is that they cannot tell you when time started or when time will end; what happened before time began of after it stops. However, if time is a loop, this no longer becomes an issue. The timeline of the universe you are currently in right now is a circle (more or less. I will not get into fractal expansion). A universe came before it and a universe will come after it (Reality is basically all of the universes in the fractal expanse). The trigger point of each timeline is the Big Bang. Each time the Big Bang occurs, the universe changes slightly from the previous iteration. There are a virtually infinite amount of different universes where anything from magic to Dragons is possible (the latter of which is exceedingly rare). An easy way to visualize the organization of the universes in reality is to imagine a hurricane. At the eye of the storm is the Base Universe (U1A-1 [3]), which is the universe we live in right now. Vetraheil is located in U459G-1. It is impossible for anyone to enter or exit the Base Universe into the rest of the so-called "Reality hurricane" just due to the quantum fields in subspace surrounding the Base Universe. However, almost every other universe can be traveled between freely. {For the most part, every work of fiction written in the base universe exists in a different universe.} This is by no means a full explanation of how I think time works. Feel free to ask me questions if you are confused.

Super-Simplified explanation of Subspace:

Subspace is weird. It is basically a place where the laws of physics don't apply. If something cannot easily be explained by the normal laws of our universe, then there is a good possibility subspace has something to do with it. For example, magic is considered to be, well, magic. There is no explanation for how magic works (at least by the laws of our universe). But my theory on magic is that it works off of universe-specific subspace harmonics. These harmonics can be activated by a word, thinking extremely clearly, etc. These harmonics can resonate in such a way that it causes normal matter in our universe to change in ways not possible under normal circumstances. A lot of unexplainable stuff can actually be accounted for with subspace. Other examples include teleportation (Typically uses subspace compression and space-time distortions) and some versions of Warp drive (Creates a shield that allows 3-dimensional matter to pass through 6-dimensional subspace. However, not all warp drives use this technology; E.G. Light² Drives [2]). Simply put (but not by any means 100% accurate), subspace allows you to break the laws of our known universe.

(Edit 1: changed Helastar's family name from Flaraday to Feliday.)
