I jumped up startled from the nightmare I was having, the movement make Narei, whom I was leaning to stir and rub his eyes. He opened one eye, to see my standing there looking at him. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me in towards him, making me fall onto of him. He looked deeply into my eyes and softly, and sweetly whispered "I Love you Luke, So much. You have no idea" I smiled, and returned the gesture "I love you too, more than you will ever imagine.". We kissed each other softly. I checked the time and realised it was 6am.
"Uhhh, why am I up this early?!" I asked Narei shocked, not expecting an answer
"Well, since we have more time... We can do more" Narei hinted
"I'm sorry Narei, but not at 6am!" I laughed
I got off from Narei's lap and went into the kitchen, limping as the pins and needles raced up and down my leg from the odd position I slept in, on the couch. Narei went off upstairs to get himself sorted. I opened a new box of cereal, since we had run out of the previous and began pouring it out into the bowl. I added milk and let it settle so it would go all mushy. I preferred cereal this way, don't ask, I don't understand either. I sat at the table, slowly eating the breakfast with thoughts passing in and out of my head quickly. I began to feel more and more upset about what I did to Kyle, I didn't even explain or give reasons for why I didn't love him. I realised as I was thinking, that I still and did in fact love Kyle. I couldn't bring myself to understand why I did, but I know that I did. I finished eating my cereal and headed over to the sink and turned the faucet. Water flooded out along with steam that condensed on the window that sat behind the sink. I sat the bowl and spoon on the side and let them dry off. I began to walk out of the kitchen, reached the first step of the stairs and heard a knock on the door. I sighed, turned round and went to answer it. I opened the door to see snow leopard standing there, deep blue eyes, tall and had red duo-chrome fur. I stopped as I realised who it is and leaped in for a hug.
"Hey! I haven't seen you in ages!" I exclaimed, pointing out the obvious fact
"Hey Luke!" Paws said with excitement.
"Come in" I insisted "I need to talk about something..." I said with a tone of worry
"Why what's up?" Paws said, with anxiety in her voice
"Well... I've been thinking about Kyle... and I've realised I do love hi.." I was interrupted by Paws "You're not... regretting it are you?"
"No, I'm not regretting it... I just think I didn't give Kyle a fair chance." I looked down "You can't deny the fact he is cute" I said with a chuckle.
"Cute he is, and I can't deny that. But being cute is what a relationship is all about. Luke, think how unfair you are being to Narei. You've only been going out two or three days now. He loves you an unbelievable amount." Paws said, trying to convince me not to go back with Kyle.
"Really?" I asked, questioning what Paws said about Narei loving me so much.
"Yeah, at the party? He was too nervous to talk to you in case you blew him off. I kept taking him to one side to talk to him about you. Which was a lot by the way" Paws said with a half smile on her face.
I sat there, staring into her deep blue eyes. They were the eyes you could trust, and they were always looking out for you. No matter how bad the situation was.
Narei walked downstairs, seeing Paws, he began to run towards her and leapt for a hug also. Narei's tail began to wag as I whispered to Paws "someone's happy to see you". We all sat around talking about what's been going on recently, what's new and what's changed. We saw Paws very rarely because she lived so far away. So seeing her again was a nice way to start the morning.
The door knocked again, I opened the door to see Kayko standing there. A black wolf, with a white stripe going diagonally across his right eye and a white tip of fur on his tail. He had dark brown eyes. He was one of the scruffier furrs in our group of friends. I walked away from the open door, and Kayko let himself in. Paws hadn't met Kayko before, and growled quietly as he walked into the living room to join the group. Kayko sat down and said to Paws "I haven't seen you around here before". Paws looked up, anger in her eyes and said, in a monotonous tone "and your point is?". Kayko looked at me with an eye brow raised and I just shook my head. "So Paws, you staying for long?", Paws darted her head over to me and replied "No, unfortunately. I've got to go see Apollo and Blaize. I sighed, Paws knew exactly what I sighed about and smiled "I know you don't like him. But tough". I imitated what Paws said, mocking her as she stood, she turned to make and laughed and we said our goodbyes and then Paws left through the front door into a waiting car.
Kayko decided he was hungry and decided to walk to the kitchen and prepared something for himself. I learned over and whispered into Narei's ear "You know what we did last night... I looked him, my heart shattered and my eyes glazed over. "I wouldn't ever leave you. EVER! I love you more than anything!". Narei, still uncertain asked me again "Please, don't leave me for Kyle." The shattered shards of my heart sunk further down into my body, "Why would you think I would leave you?". Narei presented me with his phone, and on the screen the text was revealed

I read the text, and I was in tears. Someone was trying to split us apart... I began to cry, Kayko overheard and walked into the kitchen. He blurted the words "What's up cry baby?", Narei turned round to face Kayko and yelled "GET OUT!" Narei was obviously pissed off at Kayko at this point for constantly interrupting at every opportunity me and him had a chance to talk or do anything.
"Do you know who it's from?" I asked, in between the sobs.
"No, unfortunately" Narei answered back sounding less worried after my display.
I thought to myself that if he didn't know who it was from, It couldn't have been Paws or Kayla or even Kayko for that matter. Narei stood up from leaning on the counter and walked over to me, lifted my head and softly said "I love you." I looked right into his eyes, and saw the emotions that were spinning around inside. I sobbed some more. Narei grabbed me and pulled me into him. A tight hold that I will always feel safe in, and loved.
A few hours later, Narei apologized to Kayko and we all sat in the living room having a laugh. The text was forgotten about, and Narei also deleted it from his phone.
"It's getting late guys, I should be heading home" Kayko said, his voice was soft with a saddened tone to it.
"Really? It's only ... " I paused to look at my phone "huh... It's only 12am." I said, with a shocked face.
"Your moms going to be pissed... Geese" Narei said, with a laugh
"Ha, yeah. Tell me when she isn't. " He said, heading the for the door "Bye Guys!" He shouted
"Bye Ka!" Me and Narei yelled back as he closed the door.
We were alone, at last. What was there to do? I turned around to face Narei and prodded him in the side, making him flinch over the left as it tickled. He looked at me with a smile, shook his head and repeated "No, please don't." I tickled him again, he laughed "PLEASE! NO!" I carried on tickling him until he began to wheeze under the loss of oxygen being inhaled through into his lungs. I stopped, Looked at him whilst I sat on top of him and ran my paw through his soft fur, I lent forwards leaning in for a kiss, I met his muzzle with mine and began to kiss, growing more and more passionate as our tongues tossed in each other's mouths. I broke the kiss and mumbled "I want to go to bed." I was drifting off to sleep as I sat upon my furry.
A few moments later, I was curled on his chest sleeping. He pulled me off gently and picked me up, and began carrying me upstairs. He striped me down to nothing and admired me before settling me into bed and taking his own clothes off. He crawled into the bed, and I resumed my position I originally and fell back to sleep.
