Something i did over a year ago during december, I'm still debating if i should ever get back into writing instead of drawing but i'll check what types of responses i'll get~

Strong rain pounded down on the tiny town of Ellania, each drop striking its

hollow tin roofs like a herd of stampeding bulls. Torrents of water fall from

the sky, flooding the otherwise quiet village with waves of water and mud. Water gushes from seemingly every crevice and flooded the roads half an inch high. It was very loud, very wet, and needless to say an unpleasant experience for the inhabitants of this tiny village. All but for one; a shark-like humanoid stretched upon a creaking small wooden bed who seemed to rather enjoy the whole ordeal.

He was a huge, towering figure; posing a heavy, masculine build, with a height so tall his knees can barely stay within the frame of the bed, which is straining just to stay in one piece. A size unusual for any human. Known as a "Deep One", he is a race of shark-like humanoids that are more commonly found in or near the ocean. This particular Deep One was strange, even for his people. He is the only one of his kind to live among humans and elves.

A smile arches across his face revealing rows of serrated teeth. He closes his eyes, takes a deep breath of the humid air and soaks in the comforting nostalgia the atmosphere brings. The heavy rains reminded him much of his old home.

A-THUMP.

Suddenly a loud sound struck clearly through the heavy thundering of the rain

and woke the Deep One from his dream.

A-THUM-THUMP, it went on again.

He opened his eyes for a quick scan around the room.

A-THUMP-THUMP-THUMP.

The hinges of the front door rattle from the banging going on on the other side. Begrudgingly, he hefted himself from his comfortable position of contemplation and made his way across to the door, only for the thumping to stop. He proceeded to return to his bed were it not for another sudden noise.

A huge whump against his door, much heavier than the previous. Like the sound of a body falling down on his front porch.

The sudden sound concerned him. He reached for the door, turned the handle and swung it outwards, but only a foot or so. It was being blocked from the outside. He peered through the gap and saw what confirmed his suspicion, that someone has fallen possibly unconscious in front of his door. Taking a deep breath, he tried to slim himself enough to fit through the gap of the open door while trying not to injure the person. Not an easy feat considering his body size, but miraculously he managed it with only four tries. When he got outside, what he saw surprised him further, for the unconscious body was that of a well dressed elf, and female.

Blankly staring at the unconscious female body which he had his eyes stuck on like glue,

he couldn't move his own eyes from such a beautiful sight. What he also noticed was strange

facial markings on both of her face under her eyes, whilst he was stuck in his little observation

scanning the unconscious elf with his eyes he came back to his senses and realized that she was still unconscious on the ground and her clothing was saturated from the rain.

So he decided to make his move and play the hero role in this situation, he willingly

got on his knees and moved his big masculine arms underneath her legs and his other arm

wrapped around her back whilst clutching her shoulders just like how a prince would be carrying his newly-beloved princess to his chambers, but in this instance its more like a shark man carrying a unconscious elf to his bedroom so that she can be treated, but he still couldn't take his eyes away from her face, just staring at her face made the shark man happy and turned his cheeks rosy red and constantly blushing.

Wiping the blushes from his cheeks onto his shoulders, the man pushed his door wide open with his masculine body and continued walking down his bed carrying the elf within his arms.

He muttered himself, "She's so beautiful...", said the shark man softly whilst carrying the elf with a surprisingly gentle touch. As he lay her small body down safely on the bed, he looked around his house for something to dry her body off. He noticed a small black rag laying on his stool. He quickly reached over and grabbed the rag. With a gentle touch, he wiped her brow and face clean of rain water.

Wiping the face of the elven girl, he struggled to say, "n-now for the clothes..." with a burning red face of embarassment he also said, "I hope she doesn't wake up and think of me as a pervert!" he worried to himself as he was scouting around his house for something dry to cover her body.

Drastically searching for something dry, he managed to dig up something in his closet it was one of his old coats and it was long blue trench coat with a tree symbol abd a sword engraved on it on the back decorated in gold text and padded with metal plates on the shoulders, elbows and it also had leather cuffs.

He sighed as he brushed off the dust on the coat and went back to the elf girl, staring at the unconscious elf he gulped and said with a stuttered voice "I-I can do t-this..." as he slowly removed her clothing one by unbuttoning her shirt and pants she was left with nothing but just her underwear left, he stared at her pale white skin whilst his jaw dropped, but then... he thought to himself "just get the job done!" as he unbuttoned the oversized coat and slided her tiny arms through the sleeves of the coat and buttoned them up again with the rosey red blushes on his check.

hiding the embarassed expression on his face from the unconscious elven girl, he said with a quiet tone "this should keep her warm tonight..." as stretched his tired masculine arms and yawning with a tired expression on his face as he was searching around for his stool to rest on till morning. He turned around reached over for his small wooden stool and rested his tired shark body whilst he gave one last look at the elven girl as he retired for the night, slowly closing his black and yellow pupil eyes he looked up to the sky with a small smile appearing from his mouth, he eventually fell asleep.

Birds whistling in the trees, the villages people bursting with chatter and joy throughout the town, awoke the shark man from his slumber slow opening his tired eyes and rubbing his tired face whilst yawning, he looked around his house whilst stretching his muscles until he realised that elf girl wasn't unconscious... she was half awake yawing and stretching her small arms in the air until she saw the shark man.

They both stared at each other for atleast a whole minute, until both of their eyes widened up in surprise of awkwardly seeing each other in the morning.

A small awkward tension was brewing from both of the creatures...
