The tod sighed and shook his head wearily, "rita, rita, rita, what happened to 'uncle frederick'? we're alone now, aren't we?" rita allowed herself a small smile, though she could tell the tod had something unpleasant to tell her.
Chapter 9: Interim Governor
rita returned to her office. a short while later, heather visited; the squirrel peeked around the door nervously, and rita waved her in. "is there something you need, dear?" rita queried.
Chapter 7: Bloodbath
rita reminded. "there's a menu on the dresser," he replied. "should i expect you downstairs imminently?" rita glanced at heather, who nodded. "yes, we'll be down in a few minutes," rita answered.
Chapter 14: Timothy and Suzie
rita pushed down the blankets and stroked her hand over the mice until they uncurled and opened their eyes sleepily. "good morning, sweethearts," rita crooned. "good morning, auntie rita," suzie replied.
Chapter 19: Rose
Rose eagerly bounded around rita's desk, and rita bent down to scoop her up, holding her in one arm with her hand under rose's tail and rear. rita booped her nose with her free hand. "you know what?
Chapter 12: Reign
rita teased. edgar whined and nodded eagerly. "lie on the bed, belly down and arms out in front," rita instructed.
Chapter 14: Adjustments
rita would find her, and when she did, the bobcat would regret what she'd done. she would regret ever being born before rita was done with her. no one was going to attack her like that and get away with it. rita stood.
Chapter 5: Intrigue
rita grinned at the idea; she was someone rita could work with. she'd even left her former lover in rita's tender care simply because rita was in charge. it was good to have obedient subordinates.
Chapter 3: Cultists and Pragmatism
She gestured to rita with a jerk of her head, "come on." the wolf led rita out of the office area into the wider city hall.
