#7 of Sergal Tails (The Story of two Sergals)

Being brought back to the office, Blaze is quick to question Raganzi about all the details from all the killings he has done, but Raganzi won't speak until he gets to speak to Midnight. As by a miracle, Midnight regains her consciousness just as Blaze is about to say that it is impossible at the moment. Once she sees Raganzi, he is offering her a choice that can either end two lives or end a tyrant in the future, and it is all placed in her hands. Also the mysterious archer arrives to check upon him.

This story is connected to actual lore and will at Sergal Tails 8 follow the same timeline as Girls' Zone as well as Trials of Love the Frostclaw Chronicles.

What had been expected to be two or three days before he was going to be released, had instead been turned into a month when the reynard had been forced to undergo surgery to reinforce his skull with a metal plate. And he had not awoken for over three weeks, even when the nurses told Starlah and Blaze that he got frequent visits from a mysterious wolf lady who seemed to almost be caring about him like she was his girlfriend or something. Every time Blaze heard it, she felt as if her heart was aching from understanding her pain. The wolf lady wasn't mention after the three weeks he had been asleep, but once the final week had gone, the reynard was escorted to the detective agency. And it was then that it all began, the journey towards the fight against corruption, when Officer Leon knocked upon the door to Sergal Tails.

"Just a minute, I will be right there." Blaze called out as she put aside the glass of Manta and walked over to the door, undoing the lock before opening it up, "Welcome to Sergal Tails, how may... oh, hi Officer Leon!" The lion laughed before pulling forward the reynard, "Good day, miss. You wanted this little rascal delivered to you. I would normally deny the request, but someone paid a hefty sum of money and since your friend did not want to charge him, I cannot hold him under arrest for anything. He also has been allowed to keep his weapon. I expect you to keep him under control the whole time. If I find him attempting another crime, I will have you both arrested." The reynard lowered his head, "I ain't plannin' a thing, officer." The lion pushed him towards Blaze, "I hope so, for your sake and hers. Now if you excuse me, I got another old woman that has gotten her cat stuck in a tree. You have a good day." He bowed and left before Blaze closed the door and gave Raganzi a careful look before pointing at a sofa.

"Take a seat now. I wanna hear some answers." Raganzi did what he was told, but soon shook his head, "I do not want to speak." Blaze sighed, "Listen, I want to help you, but I cannot do it if you do not wanna speak to me." Raganzi kept his stubbornness going, "No, I am not speakin' and ye cannot force me!" Blaze sighed again before testing another tactic, "Okay, you do not wish to answer those questions, so I might just find something you might want to talk about. Why exactly did you choose a rifle of that caliber?" Raganzi looked at his trusty sniper rifle before looking at Blaze, "It was given, that is all." Blaze nodded, "I must say that as a gamer, I would be frightened to face an opponent with your skills." Raganzi grunted, "Listen, lassie. I ain't talkin' unless it would be to the one I shot." Blaze felt a temporary anger fill her, but held back from doing anything she might end up regretting, "That is not."

Blaze could not finish her sentence before the phone on the wall began to ring, "Just a second." Raganzi just nodded when Blaze took the phone, "Sergal Tails detective agency, this is Blaze speaking." Blaze's face shined up, "She what?!? I am coming over!" Blaze put the receiver back onto the holder before turning to the reynard, "You are coming along, mister. A miracle just happened." Raganzi was confused, but stood up before him and Blaze made their way out to Eric who stood parked outside, his scanners quickly registering Raganzi, "Good day, ma'am and sir. Where we off to?" Blaze gave a warm response, "Back home to Kensington Palace Gardens." Raganzi's ears twitched at the address and soon the engine revved up before traveling down the road back home.

The journey back home was quiet and the reynard seemed to be more interested in looking out the windows than anything else. Once the journey was over and they parked outside the big mansion, Raganzi got to see Blaze running at full speed for the door, motioning him to keep up as they entered the house when Blaze had finally managed to unlock the door. It was a short run through a corridor before Blaze finally opened the door and looked inside at Starlah hugging the now awake Midnight who looked confused, Blaze's face slowly beginning to tear up as she rushed over and hugged her black sergal lover, "Midnight! You are awake!" Midnight smiled and hugged Blaze, hearing her crying, "How long have I been out?" Blaze sniffed and whimpered, "About a month or so! Me and Starlah did a lot while you were out, but we never stopped believing."

Midnight smiled as she gave her sergal a tight hug, "Well, I am proud of you, Blazie." Suddenly a voice cut off the happy moment, "I guess you want me to explain myself." Raganzi moved closer before Blaze explained to Midnight who he was, having to hold her back when she told that he was the one who shot her before explaining the basics of why he had done it, to which Raganzi sat down on the bedside, "Yes. I am protectin' my friend Rebecca. She is a good lass, but with the news about her bein' a women's right activist, I took the job to protect her. Whatever appened to me must been his doin'. I also didn't know if he knew about my other friends, so I just obeyed like all of their lives were in danger. But seein' how much kindness and forgiveness I got for my actions from ye friends, I learn it is better to protect the good and punish the bad, than protect and punish the good."

Midnight was silent until she felt the weight, of the sniper rifle that nearly took her life, land in her lap and the muzzle of it pointing straight towards Raganzi's heart, "I let ye be the judge. Ye can pull the trigger and get the payback, or ye can aim it away." Midnight looked at the rifle, noticing the well-kept condition of it. He must really be proud of having it, and now he wanted to tarnish it by allowing it to end him. Even in her weakened state, Midnight could lift the rifle before speaking to him, "I can hear her speaking and she wants me to do one thing to you." Raganzi looked at her before whimpering when she spun the rifle around and hit him in the gut with the butt of it, "She wanted me to hit you for asking me to use her to kill you."

Blaze and Starlah could only applaud at her decision, but soon the sound of a window opening could be heard and a feminine voice speaking up, "Glad to see du bist well, mein Freund." Raganzi looked over at the wolf girl leaning against the window that she just shut, his tears soon clouding his eyes, "Rebecca! Ye are here!" Rushing over, the reynard was hugging his friend and the girl was laughing before Starlah noticed something and whispered to Blaze, "Look, she has a bow." Blaze looked at it and quickly made the connection, "You are the one who killed the one who attempted to murder him!" Rebecca just looked at Blaze and smiled, "Schuldig as charged, Fräulein."

Raganzi looked at Rebecca and was taken back, "Ye came all the way here and helped me? Why?" Rebecca smiled and nuzzled his cheek, "Silly Fuchs. Because du bist mein Freund. Und Freunde always look out for einander." Raganzi kept on crying after hearing that and suddenly the sound of a beeping cellphone could be heard as Midnight, Raganzi, Rebecca and Starlah looked at Blaze who smiled and soon looked up at the others, "I was thinking, since we have such a wonderful reunion and all, why do we all not do something together? There is a gaming convention coming up and I think we can strengthen up a bond there." Midnight looked interested before Raganzi spoke up, "But, why me?" Blaze grinned before winking, "Consider it a way to repay for your actions and also to celebrate our new alliance. That means you too, miss archer. You tag along and make sure he is not doing anything bad and I will look the other way about the bow thing." Rebecca saw that Blaze had the kindness in her eyes when she said it, so she just bowed her head with a smile, "Danke."

Soon enough, Rebecca and Raganzi had gotten themselves a shower separately and gotten a room each while Midnight, Starlah and Blaze sat on the bed and read about the upcoming Eurogamer Furezzed gaming convention in London, "That will be perfect to establish a bond at." Blaze said before Midnight nodded, "Yeah, and it is sure to be calm enough for me to go." Starlah wasn't so sure, but he had picked up something on Rebecca's scent, "Did any of you two feel that the wolf smelled a bit... masculine?" Blaze and Midnight looked at each other before just giggling, "You must be going into heat or something." They had not heard however that Raganzi and Rebecca stood outside and had heard what Starlah said. Giving his friend a questioning look, Rebecca undid the belt and pulled down to give Raganzi a huge surprise, "Lass, when did ye plan to tell me that ye had a log hidden there?" Rebecca giggled warmly before their laughter was heard by the trio inside the room and the door opened enough for Blaze, Midnight and Starlah to all drop their jaws before they fell out from behind the opening door, but Raganzi giggled, "Guess we ain't the only sneakers here." Soon the hallway was filled with a loud assemble of laughter. Indeed, this was the start of a wonderful cooperation and a new chapter in the history of the agency.

The End.
