The flames sign

While Safire was out cold something was happening in the woods of wolves,a blizzard came out of nowhere engulfing the woods in a deadly winter of death. This frightened many for there seemed to be no explanation of why it had happened,and it was in the middle of summer to early for snow. Ice had already covered the tree branches weighing them down.

Rose laid by her daughter awaiting her awake for two hours. Rose tried to give Safire warmth and herself by cuddling with her daughter but she still shivered. Many looked for shelter by hiding in caves. Snow quickly covered there tracks as they frantically searched for a safe place to stay. Rose looked at her daughter in fear of her freezing to death.

"Come on hang in there" Rose said under her breath trying to keep as warm as she could be.

A group of Howler elders huddled together in a cave trying to search for an answer to this strange happening.There was a black one and brown one and a white one.

"Use your words wisely my brother's we need all the heat we can keep" the black elder said looking at his fellow Howler's.

"Yes this weather could be a sign that its time for Destiny" the brown elder said being interrupted.

"No Moonlight told us the sign is when a Devil is unleashed into this world" the white elder said interrupting the other.

"I know this but could this be a devils doing" the brown elder said defending his statement.

"Possibly but if so we must wait for Moonlights words in the matter" The white elder said looking at the brown elder.

Outside the cave a storm raged covering all in its path.

Meanwhile Safire stood before a strange wolf named Snow in a cold dark area with blue flames on each side of her. Safire returned to her wolf form and rose to her feet slowly as Snow waited patiently standing before her. Safire still had a sense of fear towards Snow but she couldn't help but feel pity on her.

"She doesn't even know what she is" Safire said to herself while looking at Snow.

Snow then noticed a change in Safire.

"Cute your pitying me now" Snow said walking closer to Safire.

"She can sense my emotions" Safire said to herself.

"I can also hear your thoughts" Snow said slyly still looking down at the confused Howler.

Safire grew silent becoming even more fearful of this white wolf.

"Speechless once again" Snow said eying Safire.

"Does my power scare you" Snow said whispering in Safire's ears.

Safire's ears perked as she did this for they were sensitive to close sounds.

Safire stayed silent but she new silence would not help for Snow could easily read her mind.

"Hmm you do fear my power and if your wondering I'm not reading your mind I can smell it all over you" Snow said sniffing Safire.

Safire breathed heavily letting out a sign of sadness.

"Relax Safire" Snow said snuggling Safire.

Safire felt her warm body give her warmth and it soothed her but she couldn't help but feeling odd.

"Its time you go" Snow said opening her mouth showing her fangs,Safire did not notice this and stood still as Snows fangs dug deep into Safire's neck. Safire's eyes widened as this happened blood escaped her neck quickly as Snow released Safire from her grip. Safire fell to the ground in pain deep pain.

"Til the next time sister" Snow said as Safire's vision began to blur.

"Sister" Safire said under her breath as her wound took hold of her turning her vision to darkness.

Snow looked down at the Howler with little emotion at all.

"Your life is but a flame it starts out as nothing" Snow said to herself looking next to Safire as a small spark appeared.

"Then it slowly grows in time building little by little" Snow said to herself as the spark became a blue flame growing slowly.

"But like the flame it will slowly wither and die" Snow said to herself as the blue flame withered and died.

"Leaving but a small mark on this pathetic world" Snow said to herself as a scorch mark was all that was left by the flame.

Snow then watched as Safire's body disappeared from her sight.

"Gone again" Snow said turning around and began walking away slowly.

Rose felt Safire move and quickly rose to her feet waging her tail as her daughter began opening her eyes.

"Safire are you alright" Rose asked moving her head towards her daughter. Safire didn't answer and just looked around as noticing a snow falling around her. Cold air brushed against both of the two as they embraced the cold envirement. Rose shivered as this happened but Safire didn't react for she had gone numb from being out so long.

" Mo...mother" Safire said looking up at her mother revealing green grass laying underneath herself.

"Yes" Rose said in a caring voice trying to listen to her daughter's words.

"I...I can't feel anything" Safire said as her head fell to the ground in a thud.

At that moment Roses tail fell between her legs,she tried to pretend she did,t just hear this.

"Are you sure?" Rose asked putting her front paw on Safire front paw.

"I can't" Safire answered looking at her mother's paws.

Rose acted quickly cuddling with Safire trying to provide her warmth through the storm.

"Is...Desti...is Destiny all right?" Safire asked noticing her sister was nowhere around.

"Yes I told her to find shelter while I looked after you" Rose answered while she shivered as another gust of cold wind brushed up against her.

"Why...didn't you....you go" Safire asked feeling a little warmth from her mother.

"Your my daughter I could never leave you" Rose in a soft voice.

"Your shivering" Safire said noticing her mother's condition.

"It's nothing really" Rose answered feeling another gust of wind push into her,Rose shut her eyes shivering as this happened.

"No its not" Safire said noticing she was shivering as she spoke.

"It matters not I'm staying with you" Rose said keeping her position.

Safire quit trying to argue and just laid there trying to get some warmth from her mother.

"I'm starting to get some feeling back" Safire said perking her head up"

"Can you stand?" Rose asked getting up

"I'll try" Safire said struggling to get up but she quickly colapsed to the ground in pain.

"Safire!" Rose yelled out as Safire fell to the ground.

Destiny sat in a cave with some other Howler's and Howlos,one was midnight telling a tale of how he beat up some Howlos who tried maning up to him this day.

"What was his name?" a male grey Howlos asked intrigued by the story.

"Hmm name you say I think the runts name was Dusk yeah that was it Dusk" Midnight said answering the Howlos's question.

Destiny ears perked as she heard the name Dusk.

"Dusk isn't that Safire's friend" Destiny said to herself turning her head towards Midnight.

"Did you say Dusk?" Destiny asked walking over to Midnight.

"Yeah thats what I said who are you" Midnight said noticing the black diamond on Destiny's head.

"My names Destiny and where is he?" Destiny asked.

"The runts probably dead by now" Midnight answered in polite way.

"I didn't ask if he was dead where is he?" Destiny said raising her voice in anger.

Midnight backed away a little startled.

"I honestly have no clue" Midnight answered smirking.

"Thats to bad" Destiny said in a low tone looking at the black Howlos.

"Yeah sure is" Midnight said sarcasticly.

"Your going to have bring me to him then" Destiny said turning to the exit.

"And why would I do that?" Midnight answered.

"Murder is frowned upon by Howler and Howlos you'll be exiled or even killed" Destiny answered looking back at Midnight

"Sly girl" Midnight said under his breath following Destiny outside of the cave.

"I know" Destiny said over hearing what Midnight just said.

"Good ears as well" Midnight said to himself while he followed Destiny into the snow.

Destiny and Midnight walked through the blizzard not knowing how dangerous it could be.there paw prints were quickly covered up by more snow. Midnight was leading the destiny to try and find Dusk. The blizzard got even worse by the minute,and the snow began getting deeper as time went by. Midnight popped his nose up trying to find a scent of Dusk.

"Damn nothing I suspected as much can't smell a thing in this blizzard" Midnight said looking back at Destiny.

Destiny's fur was as white as snow and the only way Midnight could see if she was there was the black diamond marking on her head.

"Keep trying" Destiny yelled placing another of her paws in the cold snow.

"Alright I'll try" Midnight yelled looking on ahead.

"I hope mother got Safire out of this" Destiny said to herself as she moved slowly behind Midnight.

"He's somewhere over near the closest pond" Midnight yelled.

"Nice finally some details" Destiny yelled as a gust of wind clouded out her words.

"What?" Midnight asked hearing nothing Destiny just said.

"I said" Destiny yelled being interrupted

"What?" Midnight asked again.

"Nothing" Destiny yelled getting annoyed.

"Alright" Midnight yelled back.

The two searched for about thirty minutes until they came upon a frozen pond.

"Is this it" Destiny asked resting herself by the shore.

"Yea" Midnight answered standing next to Destiny.

Snow had covered the pond but a little ice could be seen.Fish resided under the pond encased in a frozen prison by nature.

"He should be close by" Midnight said turning over to Destiny.

"Ok how close?" Destiny asked knowing close wasn't probably close.

"About a quarter mile" Midnight answered

"Thought so" Destiny said under her breath

"Why you tired?" Midnight asked right after answering Destiny's question.

"No just wondering how much longer I'll have to deal with you" Destiny answered

"You know this isn't much fun for me either" Midnight said countering what Destiny had just said.

"Well it's your fault for bragging" Destiny said countering his counter.

"Damn this bitch" Midnight said to himself

"Ok lets go" Midnight ordered walking along the shore.

"Off again" Destiny said no longer resting her soar paws and began trotting in the ever growing snow.

Not to Far away Dusk laid where he went out cold. Snow was beginning to cover his whole body and soon would trap him alive. Dusk was dreaming of a grassy plain with many colorful flowers in the area. Dusks red fur was blowing as he ran up to a grey Howlos quickly knowing who it was.

"Dawn" Dusk yelled cuddling Dawn in happiness.

Dawn allowed Dusk to do this. Dusk then smelled a delightful odor coming from Dawn.

"What is this" Dusk said to himself taking another whiff of the smell.

Dawn noticed Dusk had smelled something amiss and felt a little embarrassed.

"Ah Dusk" Dawn said getting Dusks attention.

"oh sorry you just smell so amazing" Dusk said smelling Dawns soft coat.

"Its because I'm in heat" Dawn said looking into Dusks eyes.

"Heat?" Dusk asked with confusion

"You know" Dawn answered turning her head to her behind.

Dusk tried to understand then he new exactly what she was saying.

"ah sorry" Dusk said backing away in embarrassment.

"No Dusk I don't mind" Dawn said turning around lifting her tail up.

"Are you sure" Dusk asked hoping she didn't mind.

Dawn nodded then looked foreword awaiting her mate.

Dusks tail began to wag as he went closer to Dawn but then he felt a cold sensation on his fur.

"What the" Dusk said noticing it was beginning to snow.

Dusk was startled by this and his vision started to turn all white and then he only saw darkness.

Dusk quickly opened his eyes to snowfall. Dusk began moving his eyes noticing everything was covered in snow which confused Dusk.

"I think I liked the other dream better" Dusk said signing in sadness.

"Wait this isn't a dream this snow it's cold" Dusk said feeling the snow that laid on him.

Dusk rose to his feet and shook the snow off,Dusk then felt a sharp pain coming from his neck.

"Now I remember it was Midnight who gave me this wound but it feels non fatal perhaps that is for the best" Dusk said beginning to take a step but he quickly fell to the ground.

"Well I guess it's still lethal enough to slow me down" Dusk said looking around once more.

"Hopefully someone will hear this" Dusk said getting ready to howl.

Dusk then let out a echoing howl hoping other's would hear him.

Howling was a way of telling where you were or letting out your battle cry,it was normally used under serious conditions never to be used lightly or for games young Howlos and Howler's are taught this at a young age,you can also tell the age and sex of the one howling. Howlos having only a wolf form were more advanced in knowing this information in a howl.

Dusk's howl echoed through the woods but the blizzard made it silent quickly drowning it out into nothing. Dusk repeatily howled until he was out of breath and breathed heavily hoping someone heard his cries for help. A faint Howl ringed through many ears but must simply ignored this cry fending only for themselves.

"Dusk!" Safire yelled rising back to her feet hearing the faint Howl.

"I have to help him" Safire said urgently turning to her mother.

"No that cry was loud enough for other's to hear,save your energy" Rose said protesting Safire's idea.

"But" Safire said saddened laying back down.

"Dusk" Safire said still hearing the howl.

"Did you hear that?" Destiny asked Midnight perking her ears hearing the faint howl.

"Heh you just now heard it I guess your ears aren't that good" Midnight answered still moving foreword towards the howl.

"Keep moving remember your life's at stake" Destiny said ending the conversation.

Midnight knew enough to keep quiet but Destiny was starting to really piss him off.

"This girl must be part of the royal packs she sure acts like it" Midnight said to himself.

The royal pack are descendents from a Howler who wielded a blade of pure white with amazing power that could end any foe with one strike and giving its master amazing speed the blade was named after the land Wolf fang. Many years back a proud Howler named Wifter fought a leader of a ancient race that is now extinct named werewolf's. The werewolf's were half human half wolf,they walked on there back legs but had incredible strength but they lacked in speed so they merely went around by jumping tree to tree.

The werewolf's leader thought himself superior to Howler's and Howlos his name was Dector and he wielded a magical blade thats blade was red as blood also which stole skills from whoever user kills and the ones he killed must serve his every whim the blade was called Blood Fang. The two fought but a boy of fourteen that interrupted there fight. The boys name was Elric Valid and he also wielded a magical blade that was invisible which he called Hidden Fang. The blade gave user the ability to be completely invisible and the blade could change into any weapon user wants it to. The boy killed these two easily leaving the fangs behind.

Wolf Fang was tooken by a non royal Howler named Will who was later exiled for the Howler's and Howlos believed he had killed there leader,he also was allowed to keep the blade because the Howler's believed it was tainted by non royal blood. Blood Fang was tooken by a mere human named David older brother of two years to Elric.Will and David were said to be friends but both were said to fall before the Souless long ago. These blades were said to be created by a demon god named Devides.

The storm had started to gradually lessen as time went by. Snow no longer fell as much as it did only large gusts of wind moved the snow as darkness began to fall in the Woods of wolves.

The three elders had stayed in the cave awaiting the storms end. The brown elder left his fellow brethren and peered outside.

"The snow falls but a little now" the brown elder said turning to the other elders.

The elders walked towards the brown one seeing for themselves.

"It is so" the black elder answered looking outside.

"We will meet Moonlight in the morning" The white elder said also looking outside.

"Morning is but hours away we should rest are selves for this meeting" the brown elder stated.

"Yes that does seem wise" the black elder said going back into the cave.

The two other elder followed and rested themselves awaiting the next day.

Dusk's howl had brought Midnight and Destiny directly to his position.

"Heh there he is" Midnight said noticing the red Howlos covered with snow.

Destiny ignored this and ran straight towards Dusk. Destiny noticed Dusk's wound on his neck right away. It was still open but a little scabbed,probably infected, and snow had been getting in his wound to so it probably had frostbite.

" That looks bad" Destiny said concerned staring at the wound.

"Bad I barely bit him" Midnight said noticing the wound.

Dusk opened his eyes realizing someone had heard his call. His vision was blurry but then he recognized Destiny by the black diamond on her head.

"Hey your Safire's sis right" Dusk said looking up at Destiny.

"Yea" Destiny answered shocked that Dusk could speak.

"How'd you find me" Dusk asked confused.

Midnight then walked forward towards Dusk.

"It was me runt" Midnight answered looking down on Dusk.

At that moment Dusk's eyes widened and his adrenalin started rushing as he got to his feet snarling his teeth at Midnight with anger. Cold snow fell to the ground next to Dusk"s trembling feet as he did so.

Midnight stared at Dusk unimpressed. Destiny quickly leapt into action by getting in front of Dusk.

"Stop your in no condition" Destiny yelled blocking Dusk from Midnight.

"Even in normal condition he'd still fall" Midnight said commenting what Destiny had just said.

Dusk then shoved Destiny out of the way and started getting ready to strike his fangs into flesh. Midnight kept his position still eyeing Dusk with no emotion at all.

Dusk became furious at the look on Midnight face.

"You remember who left you that wound" Midnight said talking down to Dusk.

Dusk stopped in his tracks as Destiny leapt in front of him.

"If you touch him you die" Destiny stated now growling her teeth at Midnight.

"Why show those fangs to me there is no reason" Midnight said.

"Get out of my way" Dusk snarled trying to shove Destiny again but Destiny acted quickly by biting down on Dusk's wound gently but enough to drop Dusk to the ground.

'Let go of me" Dusk stuttered trying to release himself.

Destiny didn't allow this and kept hold of Dusk.

"He'll pay in time" Destiny answered while having dusk still in her grasp.

Dusk then stopped struggling and Destiny realized this releasing him.

"Good the runt finally came to his senses" Midnight stated as soon as Destiny released him.

Destiny then sneered at Midnight with disgust as he said that. Midnight noticed and quickly shut his mouth.

"Can you walk" Destiny asked Dusk.

"Yeah I think so" Dusk said lifting himself up on his four feet.

Dusk then began to struggle as he walked a step foreword.

Destiny noticed and quickly leaned against him giving him support.

"Ah what are you doing" Dusk asked a little embarrassed.

"Don't get any idea's I'm only helping you" Destiny answered.

"Your warm" Dusk commented as Destiny helped him walk forward.

"Delightful" Destiny said under her breath.

Midnight stood before them watching with amusement.

"We should move quickly if we wish to survive the night" Midnight stated walking forward.

"We won't get back to the cave before dawn" Destiny yelled looking forward towards Midnight.

"Well where else can we seek shelter" Midnight yelled back turning around towards Destiny.

"If we huddle together for warmth we have a better chance of survival" Destiny yelled back.

"I'd rather die the take either of your warmth" Midnight replied disgusted.

"Have it your way then" Destiny said laying on the ground next to Dusk.

"Don't worry Dusk I'll clean your wound" Destiny said licking Dusk's wound.

Dusk began to tremble feeling a stinging sensation on his neck but he allowed Destiny to do this.

"Midnight watched this and quickly turned around in disgust,then found himself a spot by a tree.

The three fell to sleep soon after in the winter storm that had almost died.

Meanwhile Rose still huddled with Safire through the winter night. The two had been struggling through the whole night trying to sleep. Safire was the first to catch sleep but Rose stayed awake looking after her daughter. Rose began thinking to herself trying to find a reason for this storm but the only thing she could think of was the day she gave birth to Safire.

"It snowed the moment she began to whimper and faded as she found sleep but this time its different,this can't be her doing unless she is like her father" Safire said under her breath as a tear began to roll down her her cheek

"Dom I've lost you I can't lose her to" Rose said closing her eyes.

A black robed figure appeared before the two in a black shadowy haze that quick disappeared as they slept. The man looked at the two with his shrouded hood covering his face. The cloaked figure was a Souless named Dominic who sheltered a Devil inside him named Abyss. Two blades rested at the mans left side as he walked closer to the two. One blade was pure black and the other also pure black except every five seconds it would turn white then it would return back to black.

"Is this her" Abyss asked within Dom.

Dom nodded silently with a glimmer in his eye.

"You now what must be done Dom" Abyss stated.

Dom then held the hilt of one of his blades but then released let his grasp go.

"Don't let your pathetic emotions control you Dom" Abyss said noticing Dom's hesitance.

"Dominic then grasped the pure black blade and slowly began walking towards the two.

Dominic then became focused and went to strike.

Rose sensed something amiss and quickly awoke to nothing but a back shadowy dust that appeared before her. Rose then signed falling back to sleep.

The storm began to die quickly as daylight rushed across the land. Safire slept peacefully as a powerful being resided inside her and had shown her appearance to the world. Far away from the woods of wolves resided the land of Contour and within it a castle where Souless reined. Xtis a devil that had not sheltered himself inside a mortal sat upon a black throne. Light glittered through the four black ornamented windows that resided on the sides of Xtis. The reached Xtis showing his figure. Xtis looked completely human except for the small black devil horn that resided at the left of his head. Xtis's face was looked like he was in his early thirties and had long black hair that rested on his shoulders and he wore a black robes and his hood rested behind his head.

"Female interesting" Xtis said under his breath resting his dhnin on his hand.
