With the egg completely broken away, two little Pokemon lay curled up in the trainer's lap, squeaking softly.

"Two...Twins? Is that even possible!?" He gasped and looked at the two cubs in his lap, taking a rag, he began to clean the slime off of their fur, Verra licking over them to help. Their fur began to fluff out and slowly become a deep, reddish-brown color, tufts of tan fur circling their necks. Dull emerald green fur spouted over their chest, belly and tails. "These are...Growlithes." The human growled and stood up sharply, the pups tumbling out of his lap and onto the ground with yips and squeaks. "You slut. You were supposed to mate with an Eevolution! Not that Arcanine you tramp!" He said and swung his foot at her, just missing her nose.

Solar barked sharply and leaped out of the bushes, hitting the human with a heavy headbutt and sending him sprawling out on the ground a good dozen yards away. "Verra, Are you okay?" He barked in panic, seeing her shaking violently.

She nodded and tried to stand, her body shaking too badly to even do that."Ye-Yes, I'm fine." She whimpered and tried again to stand again. "Are the pups..." She looked over the grass to see the two pups squeaking loudly.

"They're okay." He licked over the Eevee's forehead before picking her up and setting her down next to the cubs. "Just watch over them. You will be okay." he said and turned as he heard the trainer scramble to stand up. Solar growled and flicked his tail madly behind him, ready to attack the trainer again.

"Alright, I've had it with you." The boy hissed and grabbed a pokeball from his belt and tossed it forward into the grass. A large Golem growled as it came out of the pokeball. "Golem, use rockslide!"

The ground rumbled, chunks of rock floating up from the dirt. In a flash of an eye, the rocks flew at the two canine Pokemon. Solar jumped in front of Verra, getting pelted by a half dozen large rocks.

"Solar!" Verra yelped as he slid back from the attack's impact.

He growled and shook his head. "I'm fine, Verra." He smiled over his shoulder at the little Eevee. Breathing in deeply before barking out and launching a giant fireball at the Golem. The ball of fire hit it's rock body head on and merely dissipated, leaving the rock type unscathed.

"Ha! Dumb Cur! You'll never be able to make a scratch on my Golem!" The teen mocked the Arcanine, Golem joining in on the laughter.

Solar growled as the laughter rang in his ears. Fire was growing in his muzzle again, whispers of white flame escaped from around his muzzle. The Golem curled up into a ball and began to spin on the ground, sending an arch of dirt and mud towards Solar. Roaring out, Solar breathed out a large stream of pale flame. Meeting the dirt, steam billowed up from the the middle as both elements fought to over power each other. Pushing back and forth, neither looked like they ere going to give up easily. Solar growled as the dirt began to push his flame back, getting closer and closer to his muzzle. Growling deeply, he let off another loud roar, the flamethrower growing larger and began to push the rock and mud back towards the Golem, red hot rocks dropping out of the blast, searing the ground underneath. The flames soon encompassed the rock type, it's spinning slowing as it was swallowed by the white flame.

Golem roared out in pain. Staggering out of the tall flames, he felt forward into the grass. Glowing red hot, the Golem looked like it was starting to melt. "NO!" The trainer cried out in shock. "Damn you!" He lifted the Golem's pokeball and returned it to it's ball. Grabbing the remaining balls from his belt, the trainer threw them forward. Red light filled the clearing.

Before the light had faded, Solar roared out once more, shaking the ground and trees around them. The glowing forms of Pokemon withdrew back into their pokeballs and returning to the trainer's hands.

"You cowards!" He barked out and threw the balls into his bag before he sneered at Solar before he darted out of the clearing without another word.

Solar snarled at the human until he was out of earshot. Heaving a heavy, exhausted sigh. "Are you guys okay." He turned around, his fur flattening slightly. The little Eevee was laying on her side, her thick tail curled around the pair of little Growlithes who were nursing from their mother. He smiled at the sight and laid down next to her. "They're so beautiful." he smiled and watched the cubs squirm and squeak while they drank.

Verra murred and tilted her head back and nuzzled into Solar's chest. "They certainly are. Definitely take after their daddy." She teased and licked his muzzle. "I'm glad that you came. If you hadn't, I couldn't imagine what would have happened..." She whispered. "N-Now I know you're my knight in flaming armour."

"Forever and always, my Little 'Vee." He returned the licks, his tail curling around the three smaller canines. He smiled and watched the two cubs pull away from Verra's nipples and yawning. They wiggled and laid their heads onto Solar's thick tail, squeaking and arfing as they drifted to sleep. "Congratulations, Mommy." He teased back and rubbed her side gently with his paw. Curling himself around the smaller Pokemon. "Rest well, Verra. I love you." He yawned and murred, nuzzling into Verra's cheek.

"Good night, my love." Verra yawned as well, laying her head on Solar's forepaws. "Daddy." She giggled as she drifted to sleep.

Solar's cheeks lit up with a blush and giving off a murring chuckle. The four furry Pokemon sleeping tightly together.

Two young Growlithes yipped and barked at each other. They wrestled and nipped at each other. Only growling remained as the large of the two held his sibling's tan neck fur in his muzzle. The smaller female barked out and struggled under him. "M-Mom!!!" She cried out.

"Embyr, Flaire Play nice you two." Verra spoke as she climbed out of their den; a large hole that sat at the base of a thick tree. She kicked out dried leaves and twigs before he turned to looked at the cubs wrestle, their growls filled the clearing.

"Momma! Help!" Flaire's voice squeaked out, trying to fight her brother off as she was pinned again. She managed to break free from her brother and ran around the clearing, Embyr close on her tail. She looked back to see how close the male was and as a result, she ran into Solar's front legs as he stepped out of the bush. Barking, she fell back onto her rump and looked up at the large Arcanine. "Daddy!" Flaire said before her brother pounced on her, trying to fight her to the ground. She wiggled loose again and ducked under Solar's belly, panting softly.

Solar dropped a half dozen pecha berries onto the ground. "Have you two been staying out of your mother's fur?" He said and licked the pair on the head as they nodded and grabbed a berry each and started eating.

"For the most part. You'll have to take them out hunting sometime or something, I can't seem to keep that one from fighting." She pointed at Embyr. "All day long. Speaking of which, where have you been all morning?" Verra rolled a berry over to herself and started to eat while Solar grabbed his own berry.

He smiled and watched their cubs eat, rolling around the berry with his paw. "Just out. Looking around and stuff." He said and laid down, still tossing the berry from paw to paw. "You know, it's almost been a year since we met. I was thinking...that..." he smiled and dropped his voice to a whisper. "That we could go out to a nice secluded spot I found. Just you and me, after the cubs are asleep." Solar chuckled as he saw her cheeks flare up with a blush that grew darker the more he whispered into her ears.

Licking her lips of the berry juice, Verra giggled and nudged him with her shoulder. "N-Naughty Arcanine." She whispered. "Lords, I can't believe that it's already been a year already." She took another bite of pecha.

Solar grumbled playfully. "Tell me about it. " He grinned and ate his own berry in too bites. Murring he licked his lips. "A verrrrrryyyyyyy long year." He curled his tail around the Eevee and pulled her tightly to his side.

Verra watched the cubs finish their meal before going back to rough house. She sighed and chuckled, shaking her head. " It has been love. But you better be careful, or it'll be another long year for you, my knight."

"I'll try my best, Little 'Vee" He smiled and licked her cheek with a loud murr. "But I can't promise anything." He gave a startled bark as Flaire and Embyr pounced and climbed over him, the female chasing her brother around their father's body. He shook them off and roared out playfully, making them run away from them. Solar gave chase, playing around with the two. Verra watched them, her tail tapping the ground as the three's barks and squeaks filled the clearing, making her heart flutter with joy.
