Ajana sat in front of a magnetic mixing tray, as she added white powder to a a green fluid that was stirring in a wide mouth beaker. Aohd walked in with a box of stuff, in time to see the doe add some red fluid to the mixture before shutting it off.

"What are you working on there Ajana, some kind of growth supplement for plants?"

She picked up the beaker and sniffed it before taking a drink.

"Wheat grass juice with protein powder and strawberry puree. What's in the box?"

"This is your welcome package. Took a little while to get it together because we had to custom make your robe."

"Ah, thank you." she said as she took out the robe and tried it on.

"Yep, got a lot of good stuff in there for you. Your robe, standard issue wooden paddle, coffee mug with your name on it, and other various items of interest. Personally, I like the tee shirt and coupons for local eateries. Which reminds me, you need to fill out the form so we know what size shirt you want."

"Cool." She said as she looked over the wooden paddle. Zzyzx walked in shortly to join the doe and hell phoenix.

"All hail chief penguin Zzyzx!" yelled Aohd as he held up the mug and coupon books. The rest of the penguin lab workers waved to Zzyzx as he walked past. Zzyzx stared at his phoenix second in command as he vocalized the cult leader's arrival.

"Why do you do that Aohd? Nobody does that except you."

"Cause it's fun and people look at me odd when I chant 'Ordo postulat Pengu pisces'. What does that even mean?"

"Well, it means"

The birds were startled as the one eyed tentacled star fish jumped onto the lab table next to them. Zzyzx and Aohd screamed and jumped into each other's arms as it hissed at them. Ajana seemed unfazed as she picked up a spray bottle and hit it with a light mist of water. The creature seemed annoyed as it scurried away from them.

"Hmm, it doesn't seem to be demonic in nature." she said as she made a note on a pad of paper. The birds let go of each other and composed themselves.

"What makes you say that Ajana? What the heck is in that bottle that it drove whatever that thing was?"

"First, I must test something." said Ajana as she sprayed Aohd with the same water. The phoenix went wide eyed and started screaming "IT BURNS!" as he rolled around on the ground. Zzyzx and Ajana watched for a moment before Ajana spoke.

"This is holy water. I had it blessed before I got here today. Seeing as Aohd is a hell phoenix, I can only assume since the creature didn't have the same reaction it is not demonic. Or at least not hell based in origin like Aohd."

Zzyzx stared at Aohd as he started to calm down.

"Is he gonna be okay?"

"I'm pretty sure he'll be fine as long as I don't make him drink it or soak him in a tub of it."

"Lay me in a bed of charcoal and bring me some pork rinds." said Aohd as his eye twitched.

Zzyzx shook his head and turned back to Ajana.

"So you don't seem to be fazed by that thing at all."

"It doesn't really do anything except hiss at people and run away. Honestly I stared it down one time and it just scuttled away."

"Hmmm, who'd of thought. Well I'm gonna take Aohd and try to recruit new members down town."

As Zzyzx picked up the still twitching phoenix he heard a loud crack from behind him. He turned to see that the star fish creature was laid out on the ground. Ajana held her broken paddle in hand.

"I'm gonna need a new paddle, some forceps, and a specimen cage."

Aohd was laying in a mini hibachi grill on a bed of lit charcoal, wearing sun glasses. He reached into a bag of pork rinds that sat on a box next to him and pulled one out to snack on it as Zzyzx returned with his box of literature and a cooler.

"How you doing fire bird?"

"Better now. Did you get any orange soda?"

The penguin handed him a glass bottle before setting up the stand. Minutes later, Zzyzx was ready as Aohd got out of the hibachi and closed the lid.

"Why don't we have recruiter penguins to do this for us?" asked Aohd as he ate more pork rinds.

"We do. They are at the food court so we cover more area."

"You guys gonna let me join yet?"

The birds turned towards the direction of the voice as Aohd lowered his sunglasses to see better. A young red fox approached the table with an annoyed demeanor. She stared at Zzyzx in silence as Aohd reached into his bag. The phoenix shuffled his wing around for a bit before turning it upside down. Zzyzx and the fox turned to him as he said, "I'm out of pork rinds"

"Hello Rika. What can I do for you?" said Zzyzx as he turned his attention back towards the fox.

"You know what you can do for me. You have a cult and I want to join."

"Rika, I'm not letting you join my cult. Yeah we need members, but you are twelve years old."

"I'm thirteen and I bet I know more about the occult than anyone you have in your order right now."

"I highly doubt that, young lady."

"Oh yeah? So has anyone figured out what that starfish thing is that has been running around your research labs?"

"How do you know about that?"

"I get the newsletter."

"What newsletter? We don't have a..." Zzyzx stopped mid sentence as he turned to Aohd as he finished the rest of his orange soda. "Is there something you want to tell me?"

"Yeah, we have a newsletter that we send out now. Digital edition too for emails"

"Aohd, why don't you just go lay back down in your hibachi for now."

"Alright but I'm sure it's cold now." said the phoenix as he opened up the hibachi lid and laid back down.

"Listen Zzyzx, I know you have an occult department and I'm an occult expert. Not yet a master but I'm getting there. You let me see that starfish thing and I'll tell you what it is. Also, if you need me to I can tell you how to get rid of it."

"Well I have my top researcher on the case and I'm sure she will figure out what it is soon enough."

"You mean that doe, Ajana?"

"How did you know... Newsletter?"

Rika nodded with a smile as Zzyzx turned to Aohd

"Do you think it's the best idea to broadcast all of our members names to anyone who reads our newsletter? Which I should mention, I just learned we have?"

"Well it helps the members that can't attend the meetings when we announce new members. That way they won't wonder who the new people when they see them." replied Aohd as he was now lying with his stomach against the charcoal.

Zzyzx stared, before addressing Rika again.

"I'm sorry Rika, we can't have a thirteen year old joining the Order of Pengu."

"This isn't over Zzyzx!" said the fox before storming off. Aohd pushed himself up, off of the charcoal to get a better look.

"So do you think Ajana will figure out what that thing is?"

Ajana looked at the creature through its holding cage. Another penguin lab worker stood next to Ajana as the creature hissed at both of them. Ajana looked puzzled as she held her note pad.

"Do you suppose it might be a vegetarian?" she asked the other lab worker who shrugged in response.
