World building for the Undertale AU
#2 of Undertale stuff.
*---Possible Jobs--- *
Toriel: teacher (duh) at the local elementary school. She can't deal with anyone higher than that because she literally has no experience.
Asgore:Businessman or politician.
Sans: Stand-up Comedian. He also uses his magic, along with Pap's "extra attack" bones, to create stunning visual displays while he jokes.
Mettaton, Napstablook, and Shyrin go on tour for a while in the beginning and make cameo phone calls throughout.
Papyrus is a stay-at-home dad for when Toriel and Sans are working.
Alphys works at a lab in the city or teaches at the school as an "advanced" science teacher.
Sans hired Undyne to be his bodyguard. Common thugs don't have a lot of LV, after all

Frisk has become friends with Flowey and Max. They are an outcast otherwise, being bullied because of their choice to not identify along with their monster "family"
Toriel, Sans, and Papyrus are Frisk's legal guardians. Toriel isn't with anyone, though.
Blooky,MTT, and Shyrin have a band.

The City
Frisk's house: Occupied by Frisk, the Fonts, and Toriel.
Alphys' house: Occupied by Alphys and Undyne
Shyrin's house: since neither of her bandmates need food, she lives alone. MTT lives in Alphys' lab because he needs to recharge and Blooky keeps him company.
The school.
Alphys' Lab, Gillby's new bar (where Sans performs, for the most part), Max's house, and Asgore's house are mentioned but never visited. No one knows where Asgore works.
---headcanons---
Each of my head canons has a reason.
1) Chara doesn't occupy Frisk's body. This one is a little tough to explain, but let me try. In this AU, frisk was strong enough to reset the time line before Chara destroyed the world. Their soul isn't fully given over to Chara, therefore, they don't occupy the same body.
2) the city we see in the true ending is Chara's hometown. Asriel was killed by an angry mob, so he couldn't have gotten far. Unless Chara's hometown was at the foot of Mt. Ebott or right next to the barrier, he wouldn't have made it back. That being said, the barrier was one way. You can enter bit you can't leave.
3) Sans remembers comics and AUs. After all, they are technically alternate timelines. Also, I need it because I like the plot of some AUs that aren't Undertale reskins. (There's an asriel redeeming AU that I've particularly taken a fancy to... Along with outertale. Outertale music is amazing) none of these will come to play in the story, but Sans might randomly pop a "hey, do you remember that?" On Frisk.
4) monsters still inhabt the underground. Some monsters literally can't leave (HOives!) And some choose to stay. They live in The Capital and Snowdin, mostly. Tem village is occupied, too. Some bold monsters have recolonised the Ruins.
papyrus won't talk in all caps, but he will keep his mannerisms.
