The no longer Tragic Lovesong of Destiny: FINISH
#6 of inuyasha and kagome.
He watched their lovemaking from a distance, not wanting to interrupt what was going to be the last time they ever fucked before killing them both.
As the passions died down, Naraku watched Inuyasha lower Kagome into the water, it was then he decided to make his presence known. walking from the tree cover, he just stood there waiting for them to noticed that they were no longer alone.
when they both finally turned to face him the looks of shock on their faces made Naraku laugh, a sinister cold heartless laugh that chilled to the bone.
"NARAKU!!!" Inuyasha screamed, leaping from the water.
Kagome, though, knew something was different this time as Inuyasha picked up his Tetsaiga transforming the demon sword instantly into the adamant blade that could kill Naraku. Kagome didn't sense any kind of doubt from Naraku though, in fact it was like he was laughing at Inuyasha. "whats going on, how could we not smell him coming? she thought to herself as Inuyasha struck.
the Tetsaigas blade shattered the moment it struck Naraku, and before Inuyasha could bat an eye Naraku pierced Inuyasha through the heart. "you alone could never hope to defeat me, Inuyasha, you were a fool to think your new toy would protect you and now that I've killed you im going to enjoy ripping your woman apart piece by piece, as you watch and die"
"INUYASHA, NOOOOOOO!!!" all sense left Kagome, her love hanging before her eyes, as the life dwindled from Inuyasha, she felt something other than her anger, more powerful than her greif. it was then that Kagome transformed into a full blooded demon, her nails growing longer, thicker. her fangs lengthened too, and as Inuyasha watched his love fall into her demon nature, he realized how much she really loved him.
it happened faster than the blink of an eye, Kagome didn't even seem to move as she slashed at Naraku, cutting away the limb that pierced her loves heart, before turning on the bastard himself! she fought like she'd seen Inuyasha do countless times, using her body as a weapon, carving piece after piece off of him.
Naraku was afraid, this woman who was wholly unremarkable in every way was somehow ripping through him and every barrier he raised like it was wet tissue paper. "i must kill this woman, quickly before she gets any more powerful." he thought to himself. he sent everything he could think of at one time hoping to overwhelm her.
"Naraku is a fool" Kagome thought, as she slew wave after wave of hornets, dodging every blast of miasma as if in slow motion, tearing off tendril after tendril that Naraku threw at her.
Kagome didn't see it coming, so intent was she on her front that she never noticed the tendril behind her until it was too late, it struck her, mid thigh. she stood there looking at the thing protruding from her leg before slashing the tendril off and with a scream tore it from her thigh.
Kagome was on one knee, unable to move her left leg. then kagome felt it, the demon nature was being pushed back. she was reverting back to her half demon form.
Inuyasha watched as his beloved fought with a passion only the gods could possess as his life dwindled. he watched for what seemed an eternity as his love fought for him, to avenge him. he watched with fascination as Kagome slowly ripped Naraku to pieces. he gasped as Kagome was struck. he watched as Naraku prepared to finish Kagome as she pulled the tendril from her leg, and with the last of his failing strength, threw himself at Naraku.
"KAGOME, USE THE KEN-RAIGA!" Inuyasha screamed, holding Naraku with everything he had left.
it was then she leapt for her bow, lain forgotten next to the water atop Inuyashas kimono. grabbing it she turned all her furry, love, and grief into a single arrow, and as she took aim at Naraku, she let shed one single tear for her love. as she fired the arrow, her leg gave out and the arrow fired straight into the heavens. her heart almost stopped as she watched the sliver of light dissapear into the sky. "i failed you my love, i couldn't even..." the thought ended abruptly as she felt something begin to drain her remaining energy. it happened almost instantly, as she collapsed on the ground something extraordinary happened. the sky tore open as a hailstorm of pure white light began raining from the heavens. she watched as Naraku was sliced to pieces by the holy barrage of death, killing him entirely once and for all.
Inuyasha felt the light piercing his very soul as his eyes grew heavy, his body relaxed, the pain suddenly not so unbearable. "so this is what its like to die, its not so bad. well father i guess i was destined to follow your footsteps after all... I'll never get to know my child, hold my love in my arms, or even tell her i love her one last time" he thought to himself before drifting into darkness.
Kagome crawled to Inuyasha, tears streaming down her face as she reached her beloved. "Inuyasha, please don't leave me alone, i cant go on without you, i love you, please don't go" she wept, as she lay her head on his chest.
Sango, Miroku and Shippo heard the battle noise, they had no doubt as to what was happening so they rushed there as fast as they could. by the time the trio had arrived the battle was at the close they watched in fascination as Naraku was laid to waste by the hailstorm of blinding light.
as the blinding light began to fade, they looked in awe at what devastation had been wrought.
"can it really be over" asked Miroku, before ripping off the seal of his wind tunnel. nothing happened, where the wind tunnel was supposed to be was a bare patch of pink skin. "its gone, the cursed thing is gone!" he cried before pulling Sango into the most passionate kiss she'd ever had.
Shippo, blushing furiously, stalked away from the pair as they continued making out. it wasn't till he saw Kagome and Inuyasha that he cried out "MIROKU! SANGO! COME QUICK!". what they saw broke their hearts. Inuyasha was dead, and Kagome kept softly calling out to him. not wanting to disturb her grief, they began looking around for Inuyashas Tetsaiga.
it was Shippo who found what was left of the demon blade, and seeing the sword broken made the realization even clearer, Inuyasha was dead.
when the others saw Shippo carrying the hilt of Tetsaiga, it became all too real to them. they left Kagome to her self, knowing that whatever they might say would only make her grief that much worse. they went a distance away sitting by the hot springs, thinking of all the times Inuyasha saved them, or helped them, or how obnoxious he could be, or even how thick headed he used to be towards Kagomes feelings, and they wept for their lost commrad, their partner... their friend.
Kagome wept for hours over the body of her love, Inuyasha

"strange" Kagome thought to herself, "i can hear a heartbeat". it took a moment till she realized that she (COULD) hear a heartbeat.
"INUYASHA!"
THAT'S THE END OF "THE NO LONGER TRAGIC LOVESONG OF DESTINY". TWO YEARS AGO I SET OUT TO FIX THE WRONG DOING OF THE INUYASHA CREATORS AFTER WATCHING THE "FINAL" EPISODE OF THE BELOVED ANIME. AFTER LEAVING THE SERIES INCOMPLETE AND BADLY FINISHED, I MADE IT MY SOUL DUTY TO FIX THIS ER.
NOW MY JOB IS DONE AND A GOOD READ WAS HAD BY A GOOD FEW I KNOW OF LOL.
