Mesprit was just as legends have told, floating in mid air, Mesprit was a sight to hold. Two tails that seemed almost entwined, though freely floating. Her (Authors note: I know Mesprit is genderless but for the sake of this story, and because I've always considered it, Mesprit is a girl.) pink head, smiling, like she knew I would be there, The "Being of Emotion" majestic in all her glory.

"Welcome Rhys." Her voice contained all emotions and it was hard to tell what her feelings to me being in her home were. "I can feel many things in your heart, mostly your hidden confusion. You are here to ask questions aren't you?"

I nodded and opened my mouth, "Yes, Mesprit, I have many questions."

She floated closer towards me, "I'll see what I can answer, just please lets go deeper into the cave." I followed her and looked around the cave, hearing the distant waves splashing onto the shore. My feet were lightly splashing through water that has formed puddles on the cave floor.

My mind was racing with questions, excitement, boiling inside of me. "Rhys please calm down." Mesprit spoke, her voice excited, "It's hard to be the Being of Emotion, when there is someone who is to into a single emotion nearby, you can't think straight." I took a deep breathe, calming down. "Thank you and I took the liberty of healing your paw."

I looked down, and shook my paw; it felt great like it was never hurt. "Thank you, Mesprit." I returned my attention to Mesprit; she stopped moving and turned back around to face me.

"Please sit." She waved her tails, the puddles of water moving to a different pattern, the ground under me dry enough to sit down. "Now, what questions do you have, that you have to travel all the way to my home to answer?"

I looked towards the ground, and recounted the dream of Articuno being attacked, and then the visit to Arceus. When I finished my tale I started asking the questions, "First off, why did they attack Articuno? Why am I the one that saw all of this? Why did Arceus curse me with this stupid--."

Mesprit threw a tail over my mouth and shut me up. "Easy, Rhys, you're overloading my emotions again."

I apologized and continued calming down, "Why am I cursed with an illness every turn of heat?" I took a breath, "I have more questions, but they are not important."

Mesprit looked at me, "I can only answer one of those. What you saw was from a cause to your own emotions." I was confused, and trying to keep it down I let her continue. "Deep inside you is an emotion called justice, it's a hidden desire that in most Pokémon don't exist. You also being touched by Arceus fueled that vision."

"So it did happen? Is Articuno alright?" I was shocked; I figured that it was just a vision, nothing more then a silly nightmare.

"Yes, Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina, did attack Articuno, at the moment we have no idea how Articuno is doing." I looked disappointed, but hopeful, "Articuno at this time, is in a coma, the best Blissey's in the world are working on Articuno. The condition though is worsening every day that; group of Pokémon did something to Articuno, and we are not sure what, but we are all living in fear that we'll be next."

"Can I do anything to stop them, or at least help Articuno? What about any others, were others hurt?" I asked trying to be hopeful.

"Zapdos and Regice, they are both in the same situation as Articuno." I shook my head and slammed my foot into the ground.

"Those Black Dots." I spoke, remembering the dots on the map. I knew now that the red dots where were the Legendary Pokémon lived, the black dots the ones attacked. I stared at the ground in shock of what was happening. "What can I do?"

"Nothing young Rhys, one Pokémon can't do anything, and we have no proof that Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina actually did what happened. As far as we can be sure it's just a bad accident."

I snapped, "How can it be a bad accident!" I slammed my foot on the ground again, "There is no way this is an accident, not after what I saw!"

"Rhys, calm down!" Mesprit yelled, her voice filled with anger. I backed down a bit, her anger overwhelming mine. "There is nothing we can do, though I can feel that you're not going to listen to me."

She lightly tapped her chin with a hand, "Go to Snow Point City, once there visit my sister Uxie, the "Being of Knowledge" she has one of the answers that you seek. Then get her permission and then visit our brother Azelf, "He'll answer the last question, though getting to him will be harder, for his home is under the water, not above it like mine and Azelf." Mesprit smiled, "Though before you leave you must know, the road will be harsh, and traveling will take you a while, I'd say goodbye to your friends and family." She smiled and floated towards me.

"The road may be harsh, but your strength will see you threw." She sang softly, her words incomprehensible. I felt a small breeze roll over me, and I felt light hearted. "That was a Lucky Chant; hopefully it will keep you safe." She floated away, "I'll send you home, make sure you leave your payment for Vaporeon."

"I'll be sure to leave the stones, when I leave. I told him two days, so I'll leave in two days." I turned around and started walking, on my third step I was back home, at least as far home, as the front gate of the Village.

Though what I saw there shocked me, Krystal. She was standing next to her family; she was looked like she didn't want to be there. "Kry...Krystal." My voice was light, it sometimes was around her.

Her head turned and she gasped, I was guessing that I wasn't the person who she wanted to see. "Rhys." She ran over to me, and stopped tears in her eyes. "I'm leaving."

I stared at her, unsure of her words, "What!"

"I'm moving, leaving, going away, forever." She cried and then looked at me, "I don't want to leave Rhys, Kanto is to far away."

"I don't want you to either, but I don't think you have a choice." She sniffled and looked at me.

"Please don't forget me?" She smiled and turned away, her parents already leaving.

"I won't." I spoke looking down; at least I hoped I wouldn't. I turned and walked away, not sure where any one was, where anyone might be, or where I was even going. By the time I looked up I was at the park.

I sat down at a bench, and just watched the sun set. I was torn, my heart hurt, the one girl I knew I loved just left and I didn't tell her. I hated this feeling, and honestly I didn't want it to stay. I needed to do something, needed someone to talk to.

"R...R...Rhys." I looked up, and around, seeing only a small Eevee. "I'm not sure who you know who I am." The Eevee walked into view, the tip of her tail, and her mane an ashy color, like coals of a fire, her body fur a mix of red and orange. "I'm-."

"Misha?" I spoke, my mind knowing the name of the only oddly colored Eevee in the village. "Can I help you with something?"

Misha jumped onto the bench I was sitting at and smiled, "It's not like you to be all upset, and alone." She was right; I was rarely upset or alone, "Is something wrong?"

"I don't know. I'm just hurt."

"This has to do with Krystal leaving doesn't it?" I nodded, "You know she isn't the only girl in town, there are others out there for that matter, and it's not the end of the world."

"But, it feels like it." I spoke, the words leaving my mouth, "I couldn't tell her anything."

I looked over at her, and whimpered as her paw met my face, it stung. "Stupid! If you feel bad about it, then you should have told her, then maybe you wouldn't feel like that. If you have something to say then say it."

"That hurt!" I spoke rubbing my face, the pain going away. "Though I deserved it, and you're right." I looked at her and smiled, "Thanks Misha, I feel better."

I jumped off the bench and walked away blushing when I heard her words, spoken at a low volume, probably low enough that she didn't think I could hear her, "Rhys, I love you." I shook it off, if she didn't want to tell me face up, then it wasn't my place to know.

I went home and ignoring my parents' hellos, I went to bed.

***

I was awoken suddenly, it was early morning and the nightmare I had made me just realized something that I forgot about. "Tatsuya!" I jumped from bed and ran out of the house.

By the time I arrived at Tatsuya's place I was out of breath, I knew I would be in trouble for waking his parents but I didn't really care. I knocked on the door, and to my surprise Tatsuya answered. "Hey man!" his voice was in a whisper, but excited, "Just about to come and see if you returned."

"Come on, you have to tell me what happened to you."

"Only if you tell me what happened," I agreed and we walked out of his house, walking around the town he started explaining what happened.

"After you ran away, I Faced the Geodudes, Lets just say that weren't happy that you got away. I started fighting them, the group attacked at once. I managed to get a few goods hits in before going down." I gulped, I felt bad for Tatsuya, "I think I killed one of them, a nasty Iron Tail, took out a good bit of rock." I chuckled, "I don't know what happened after I fell. I know I heard a splash, and then nothing." I stared in shock, he heard me hit the water. "Next thing I knew I was awake in my bed, no wounds, or anything."

"Weird." I spoke, letting his story sink in.

"Yeah, now let's hear your tale." I sighed and started, telling him everything, from the deal with Vaporeon, to the talk with Misha. "Wow, that's a lot, so when are we leaving."

I stopped walking and looked at Tatsuya, "You aren't going with me."

"What!?" Tatsuya turned around, I could see a tear in his eyes, and his face was angry, "Why not!"

"Cause Tatsuya, I don't want you getting hurt again."

"Worry about your own hide, remember." Tatsuya spoke, our motto hitting me hard, for not wanting him to come.

"That may be, but I also want you to watch my family, and Misha." I wasn't so sure why I mentioned Misha, maybe it was the fact that she loved me, maybe even I was gaining some sort of feelings for her, I couldn't be to sure, but I knew she needed to be protected.

"Why Misha?!" Tatsuya spoke, confused, not sure why Misha was important.

"Cause I have a feeling that she is going to miss me just about as much as my parents."

"I still want to go!" Tatsuya spoke, his voice not letting go, of the depression of not being able to go.

"I know you do Tatsuya, but you have a bigger job in front of you."

"Which is?" his voice moved back to confusion.

"You have to tell my parents, and Misha that I'm leaving. I don't want them trying to stop me." I stopped a tear falling from my eyes. "I must find out those answers, and hopefully a way to stop Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina. I just know that my parents will stop me, if I try, so please you have to tell them."

Tatsuya looked at me, like I gave him a button that would blow up the world. "You are really going, with out telling any one?" I nodded, "Then I'll tell your parents, and Misha."

"Thank you Tatsuya." I looked at the sky, the sun was high, "I'm going to go, I have to make sure I have a few things before I go, and I want to at least spend some of today with my parents." I said my good bye to Tatsuya and ran back towards my home.

I spent the rest of the day, with my parents. I didn't tell them that it would be the last day they would spend with me in a long time, probably not for many turns. Turns for those that don't know, are technically our year. It is measured from the time the bird Pokémon leave, to when they return.

When the sun set and my parents went to bed, I snuck back out. I walked towards the storage area of my family, and opened the door. I could barely see, but I knew where the items I needed were.

I found them, wrapped in the same leaf that I was given to me when I got them and pulled them into the moonlight. I unrolled the leaf and stared at the stones, Fire, Water, and Thunder.

I ran back inside the storage and grabbed one more thing. I set it down with the leaf, and smiled, an Ever Stone. I only picked it up, because I wasn't sure if I could trust Vaporeon. I wrapped the leaf back around the stones and placed the leaf in my mouth, running back home.

Once there I snuck back inside and to my room, falling asleep, trying to get some rest before I left.
