david's college days part nine
After the wedding and a house warming party David and Sarah began to unwrap the wedding gifts and find nice places for them and then it was time to move on to all the stuff from there house's to this house.
Two people came to fix the electrics and the plumbing after and two weeks of hard work the house looked like a house but now it was on to more serious work like finding money now they had left mum and dad's house they were now self dependent so the first job was to find a car for daily transport seeing as they where sick of taxi's.
David loved his classic cars but Sarah wanted a newish car say early 90's but David wanted a 70's car then they both agreed on a 1980's car now where to find one, David looked though his magazines but found nothing and Sarah looked on eBay but no 80's cars to be found unless David wanted a project car or a rolling reto but David said no, then David rumoured a nice little car shop in mildenhall but how much would a taxi cost and how much did David and Sarah have between them.
David had £340 pounds on his debit card, he had not spent it all, and Sarah had £260 pounds on her debit card,
Sarah and David then remerged that mum and dad had given them some money after the wedding this was £500 pounds and then David knew he had some money in his icier account only £120 but that now gave David and Sarah a grand total of £1020 pounds on a car but David had to pay dad to hire the car out so they could go there £20 loss but they still had £1000 pounds so on to mildenhall or was it.
David then said
"We've got the whole car for a day I know lots of car lots let's go!"
As they both got in the car Sarah said
"Where to first David?"
"Haverhill, there are loads of cars there!"
David and Sarah headed to Haverhill but there was no cars in there price range and when they did find one it had a big problem.
"Okay that was a bad idea, back to Newmarket",
There ware lots of cars but all were way out of Sarah and David's price range.
"Okay take 4"
Sarah laughed "now can we go to mildenhall?"
"Yes, let's go!"
Sarah and David where amazed at the range of cars on offer and all in there price range David found the car place and they had a look around.
David spotted a nice car but it was too big
"David you can't have a big car that dose 14 miles to the Galion, I like this little blue one"
David looked at it, it was a very nice looking Austen allegro the colure was blue and it had only done 45,000 miles and it was in very good condition no rust spots or see-able problems.
David got under the car with a touch to see if there was anything wrong with the under side, there was nothing.
David and Sarah talked to the owner of the car who was a very big deer his name was Steve and his company name was Mr. Steve's triumph motors.
After a long talk the cars, the price came up it was £995 reduced from £1500 David and Sarah asked if they could take it for a test run.
"Sure you want to see if it make's any noise's or rattles, it has had only 1 owner from new and has been looked after very well".
He looked like a nice chap David could always tell if they where bad or good and this guy was good and true, even Sarah said he was a nice chap.
After a quick run around with no sign of damage or anything else David and Sarah both said
"We must have it"
After a good look though the V5 document a quick deal was made, David and Sarah got the car for £900 pounds and a free air smelly.
"Sniff, sniff oh minty" said David
"Or you could have pine, orange" said Steve
"No, no well stick with mint" said Sarah
Both went home for a good long rest as it was too late to start looking for a job plus half the pleases would be closed and then they found out that the car was from 1975 not 1983 but Sarah and David loved the car it was blue and was very good on fuel.
Both went to bed knowing that they had dent been sold a dud but a rally nice car with a good back ground, and whilst looking though his magazines he found the car they had just brought.
In the morning David and Sarah went to look for jobs David wanted to do something in Cambridge and so did Sarah they both knew what work to look for something easy and not to hard on them.
They then found work in the pound store David knew where to go for good parking and not get a ticket and Sarah knew how to get both of them into the pound store.
She wear a tight top that showed her boobs off, David said
"That's okay, but only do it if we lose him".
After an hour of a interview David and Sarah had a job, Sarah was going to be packing shelves and David was going to be working the till, and Sarah didn't even have to show off her boobs.
They would start on Monday and would work 5/6 days a week, they may work on Saturday but only if they really needed them.
They were also going to have a nice pay roll 1,000 pounds a mouth each, only because Sarah showed off her boobs.
That's £2000 pounds a mouth and then a year it would be 24,000 a year and they would be seeing each other every day.
Both Sarah and David now had a car a blue 1975 Austen allegro with low mileage.
A good job in the pound store right near any shop they wanted but best of all it was near the skips so they could go skip rummaging any day they wanted to and now they had some where to store the stuff in the house.
So now they had a nice little job and a nice little car and a nice amount of money.
So now David and Sarah could live in happiness forever.
