This is a poem that I wrote a few months ago. I know it's sappy but I hope you enjoy it.
The Sweetest Rose
The one who took my shattered heart and pieced it together
Part by part
The one who used the strongest glue
There is no doubt it was you
In my chest there was a hole
From where the past had taken its toll
The only way to get it to close
Was to use the loving nectar from the sweetest rose.
As time went by you didn't stop
Not a single ounce wasted, not even a drop
From my darkness you did pull me
You became the light so I could see
You are the light that shines so bright
That you scare away the darkness from my darkest night
A beautiful shade of red
You're rose tint lights up my sky
You fill my dreams and make them so sweet
Each one a treat
You are the sweetest Rose.
