Chapter 5: Full Circle

Kurojaki could feel his body reacting to the presence of his carbon copy... his perfect clone. His fur was standing on end and anger was starting to run through him. Momoe now understood why it could consume Kurojaki's energy though... because it was him, but that couldn't be, Kurojaki was the only one of his kind, or so Karren had told her. But this Kurojaki in front of her wasn't the Kurojaki she knew... and the Kurojaki she did wasn't looking right either, but he seemed to be the real one nonetheless. He seemed to be trembling, his sword tapping against the ground as he took one small step after another. They vanished in the same moment, both on par with each other, perfect shimmers and after images along with the shower of sparks when their swords collided but only to show where they had been. She didn't know what happening until one collision set off an explosion of blue flames that sent the clone skidding across the ground, Kurojaki colliding with the earth and skipping passed Momoe. She tried looking over her shoulder to see him but the posts she was bond to blocked her view. She heard the growl as a black and red streak of fur flashed by her, the scarred black cutlass stabbing straight trough the beast, but it achieved nothing as he was tossed away like a little rock.

"Kurojaki!" Momoe fought against her bindings.

"Don't you worry about me Momoe... I'm here to protect you," He said as he got to his feet, panting heavily and sweating. "You really think I'm going to die before I make sure you're safe?"

"But Kuro..."

"Be quiet love..." He said as the flames started growing over his body, a dark blue as he grabbed his sword tight. "I suggest you hold your breath."

She did as he asked, watching as his body started to disappear in the flames, understanding why she need to hold her breath now... he was using so much flame that he was displacing the air, like carbon monoxide. She could feel the heat coming off his body as he was completely consumed in his flames, next came the explosion that launched him and his flames forward, the sword cutting into his clone's stomach and cutting outwards through his hip, a heavy flaming punch following it, blasting apart the same area now that it was weakened enough to blow it away. The demon wasn't even staggered as it grabbed Kurojaki by the throat and plunged it's blade through his chest.

"Damn it... what are you?" He asked with a growl of pain as he grabbed the blade when it was only a hair from puncturing his heart. "You're not me... No calculations, no observations, you go straight for my heart. If you were really me, you'd know that's not the best way to kill a demon... sure it might work with me, but it might not."

"That's very good Kurojaki... I must say, you're actually quite clever having figured it out by now."

"I have Chronical... you want me to fight myself, I suggest you take away your control."

"Not likely to happen, I need to make sure you die this time... I mean, your brother might get angry with me because that's his job, but I can just send him back to hell along with you... or just replace you with this body."

"What happens now?" Kurojaki asked as he let go of the sword, letting his hands drop beside him.

"I think you know... after all... you let go of the sword."

Kurojaki suddenly drew his dagger and stuck into the clone's eye as a foot pressed against its chest and he kicked himself away. He landed hard on his side, slowly getting to his feet, seeing his cutlass still lying on the ground from where he had been grabbed. He sighed as he held out his hand, the flames once more flowing from his hand. They moved outward, revealing the handle and guard of a sword, slowly moving further still to reveal a large broadsword, almost a shield breaker. It possessed a long and bumpy handle with gold rings at each lump, the end a diamond of metal, the guard went outwards and had a sudden angle pointing down, a diamond shaped ruby in the middle of the guard. The blade had 3 re-curves on each side before a subtle angle into the tip. It was a powerful sword, on that many didn't know he actually possessed, one out of two that he kept hidden in his soul. He allowed his flames to consume and hide both swords so they would never fall into the wrong hands.

"Oh... Ookami was right... you do have some real toys hidden inside that body of yours," He said as the demon started walking forward. "But can you handle its power?"

"No, I can't... that's why it was given to me." He vanished once more.

With another crash of blades, a fire was lit, blue flames that engulfed them both. Kurojaki was changing once more, his fur was growing longer and standing on end, his fangs and claws were elongated. It was evident that he was slowly turning into a full demon, which concerned her, Kurojaki wasn't conscious of his doing when he was a full demon, she doubted he would have control if it was too happen once more. She could see it, he was fighting with himself as he swung his sword, but he was losing on both ends because of it.

"You're swings are getting weaker Kurojaki," Chronical said as he took control over the copy once more. "And you're starting to slow down."

"I know I am... I'm in serious pain here," He said as his head dropped, one eye looking through the mess of fur that hung down from between his ears. "Can't you tell?"

"I can, and I must say, it's quite enjoyable watching you do this to yourself," He said as he raised the sword towards him. "You're finished."

"Bring it asshole... you know you won't kill me..." He smiled as he too held his sword out, soon vanishing.

Another clash of steel, sparks flying, but also a body... the real Kurojaki tumbled across the ground until he slammed into a large boulder, the impact splitting it down the middle. He sat there, his sword lying in the grass not too far away. He couldn't reach it though... he was completely drained of energy, and the pain in his chest was unbearable.

"I told you... you're finished," He said as he started walking forward. "Your brother will be mad at me, but I don't think he'll be able to defeat you, even when you're like this."

"Don't underestimate my brother, and don't underestimate me..." He wheezed as he looked towards Momoe. "I still have one trick up my sleeve."

"Oh really, what's that?" He put the tip of the sword to Kurojaki's chest, pulling back to strike.

"You might want to let that monster take over again," He said as his eyes closed.

Momoe could feel the sudden increase in his energy, the pressure almost keeping her from taking a breath. Chronical thrust, but that's when he exploded... the monster's body being thrown back, the cloud of dust circling Kurojaki as a red energy bled through and into the open. He watched the cloud closely as he got to his feet, waiting for what the real demon had planned. It was a sudden answer as the black bladed cutlass stabbed through him, the much longer broadsword following through his stomach.

"Let the monster take control, you can't keep up with me with just your mind," Kurojaki growled.

"How... have you unlocked your chaos release?"

"No... this is only the energy from my chaos," He said as he kicked the monster off his blades and stood ready. "I guess you could call it a half release, where the energy is slowly bleeding through me, replacing my demon energy... instead of consuming it."

He looked feral but he was in control, Momoe had to admit... he looked magnificent. His fur stood on end in the energy the circulated his body, the pink around his eyes and swirling around his tail were blood red... his eyes were narrowly slitted. He was dual wielding too very different sword effectively as well, giving testament to his skills.

"Perhaps I was wrong to think this would be easy," He said as the darkness and feral nature started to return to his clone. "I should let you fight yourself then."

"This will be different then before..."

The monster charged forward, taking a wild slash at Kurojaki, but he was ready as his cutlass blocked the sword and his broadsword stabbed through the monster once more, but this time, he blasted his new energy through his sword, watching the blood spray out its back. He swung his sword, launching the monster away and watching it land on its feet, but it was weakening.

"It's time for you to return to my dreams..." Kurojaki said as he dropped his swords, his hand rising as it erupted in a mixture of red and blue flames. "This will hurt..."

He suddenly launched forward with a sonic boom, having broken the sound barrier as he caught the beasts head in a death grip, ripping it from his neck with his momentum, the air continuing forward to sever trees and raise dust in a long trail. He stood, holding the now lifeless head that slowly dispersed into energy, the body following as he stood looking at the ground.

"Kurojaki!" Momoe yelled at him.

He stood still, quiet, the energy soon fading as his features returned to what they were when he first appeared in the clearing. He put his cutlass back on his back as the broadsword was soon swallowed in flames and disappeared once more. He turned and started walking towards her, a small smile on his face as he picked up his dagger along the way, stopping in front of her and cutting her free.

"Kurojaki... you did it!" She cheered as she hugged him against her.

"Yeah... but at what cost?" He said hoarsely before slumping unconscious in her arms.

"Kurojaki!?" She looked around. "Kari!"

"DAMN IT!!!" Chronical yelled as he looked into his viewing orb. "Why hasn't this son of a bitch died already!?"

"Hey, watch your tongue, that's our mother you just insulted," Ookami said as he sat on the desk. "And you're the one that decided to use that stupid trick... I knew it should have been me out there."

"Oh be quiet you sniveling asshole," He said as he pushed the orb aside and looked around. "How am I going to get this damn demon to die?"

"You could try me?" Ookami asked.

"No... that wasn't a full chaos release... you wouldn't be willing to fight him," He said as he looked away.

"That wasn't his chaos release!?" He said as he looked at him with anger. "You said it was!"

"No, I said he's using his chaos, not he released it," He said. "Pay attention and drop the attitude before I send you back to your bitch mother."

"Shut the fuck up!" The sword was pressed to his throat once more. "Like I said... that's our mother, you will show respect or I will be forced to destroy you."

"You think you can destroy me?" He said as he put his finger to the edge of the blade and moved it away. "I doubt you could, and your brother isn't much better, and why do you love your mother so much, she was his mother first, and she gave him the blades you so desire."

"That doesn't change the fact that she's still my mother," He said as he turned the sword, putting the tip to his throat. "Now show some respect..."

"Fine..."

Momoe kept her hands tightly wrapped around him as his head rested in her lap, the wet cloth pressed to his forehead and his duster and weapons in a pile beside them. Every time she touched him with bear skin, it burned, an immense dark energy was running rampant in his body, and he was unconsciously growling due to his pain.

"Will he be okay big sis?" Kari asked as she scooted closer and looked him over.

"He'll be fine... he wouldn't give up this easy, but whatever's happening, it's getting worse."

"I hope he'll be better in the morning... that clone did some horrible things to him... but I can't hold the needle long enough to stitch him before it starts burning my fingers," Kari said as she looked at her. "Do you think he'll make it through the night so we can fix it in the morning?"

"We'll just have to wait and see." She said as she cupped her hand in the water and brought it to the cloth, soaking it once more and watching the steam rise. "I just don't know what this heat'll do to him... but at least it'll keep us from having to light a fire to stay warm, we just have to sleep close to him."

The darkness slowly gave way to the first few slivers of the sun's light. He was wide awake, but he was in serious pain and experiencing a small pulsing sensation in his chest. He was also feeling weak, his wounds having not healed yet. He groaned as he sat up, his hands soon lighting up before he pressed the fire to his wounds, searing them shut with a howl of pain that woke the two women sleeping a few feet away.

"What's wrong?" Momoe shot up with a look of panic.

"Sorry... I was just closing the wounds..." He said as he looked at her with cringing eyes... the narrow slits having not returned to normal. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, but what about you?"

"I'm okay... for now," He said as he got to his feet. "You two should get back to the temple as fast as possible, there's no telling when a real chaos release will happen, I won't have control when it does happen."

"But... I thought you released it last yesterday?"

"No, I only used some of the built up energy," He said as he looked at her. "It only slowed it down... you're in danger as long as you're around me in this current state."

"But Kurojaki, we could help you know," She said as she started crawling to him. "We can find a way to seal it away inside you or something so you don't have to worry about it anymore, so it'll stop causing you so much pain."

"You don't get it do you," He said as he grabbed his duster and weapons before getting to his feet and slowly stumbling away. "I need to release this chaos, and I don't yours or anyone else's help. I'm fine on my own!"

He stopped once he sensed he was a good distance away and sat down with a groan of pain as he grabbed at his chest. The reason it was so deadly was because of his heritage. He's the son of a feral kitsune, his family in particular the most feared as one of blood lust and victory. His mother was gentle for a giant fox, but she would never hesitate biting a head off, being covered in blood did not bother her. Her own son had inherited this trait but in an all too different way. He loved to fight, he loved to win, and his first and only thoughts on how to obtain his victory in a fight was too kill. He would fight, he would kill, but his blood lust was not there, the brutal savagery his family was known for was not there. Instead, it condensed itself into his energy and formed his chaos, the reveal of a demon's true nature, only obtained when a demon's energy has grown to its fullest extent. That's all chaos was, a condensed and erratic bundle of demon energy that was reserved for the fight. His mother often told him he was missing such a trait because of his father, the only time she had ever talked about him. He knew it wasn't true, the minute he was able to draw his power from his body he knew that deep inside him, it was locked away, but he wasn't without.

"If only you could see what your sons are doing now mother," He said as he let his head rest on his knees, the pain finally starting to subside. "I wonder which one of us you would side with... the one who helps humans, or the one who fights for himself?"

"It's not that easy of a decision for her you know," He recognized that voice... monotone and undoubtly female. "After all... she's mother to both of you."

"You... I thought I told you to leave me alone," He said as he slowly reached for his sword.

"Don't even bother, we both know you're in no state to fight right now, even the smallest release of energy would put you down for another day," She said as she sat down beside him and looked him over. "Besides, I've said it before... I'm not here to harm you."

"How do you know so much about me and Ookami... did he tell you anything?"

"No... I don't really know your brother other than his name and that you're his older half brother," She said as he reached out and tried to touch him, but soon pulled her hand away. "No... it's because I know your mother, I've grown quite close to her in the years you've been gone."

"Is that why you won't attack me?" He asked as he looked at her with hard eyes from between his arm and knee. "Because you know my mother?"

"Not at all... she would just hate me for trying to hurt he son... the other part of it is that I actually agree with you... but I can only come to the world of the living when the others are here all at the same time," She said as she looked him over. "But I can't exactly have that known or they'll come after me... so I have to wait until I separate from them, though I know the Chronical is watching us right now through his viewing orb."

"So that's how he's able to be one step ahead of everyone else," He smiled as he laid back against the tree once more. "Oh that's rich... at least now I know how to avoid his eyes."

"You can't... no one can."

"That's just it... he thinks he knows everything, but he obviously doesn't after not knowing that we demons can actually use or chaos energy without actually invoking a release."

"What do you mean?"

"There's a way to block his sight from us... we just need a special flower, the help of a priestess, and a small drop of blood... can you do me a favor since I can't exactly move right at the moment?"

"Go get the girl that you just told to leave you alone?"

"Yes please... tell her turns out I do need her help, at least this one time," He gave a toothy grin as he closed his eyes.

"I'll go get her."

"Thank you."

It wasn't hard to make a small holy charm that would block the observation through a viewing orb. A small vial containing a special flower called a nightingale, some holy water, a spell only taught to a Holy Order Priestess, and a drop of blood from the one trying to hide. He was no stranger to bleeding having been in a few tough scraps in only a few weeks... then again, his charge in a attack nature seemed to give that small sacrifice of flesh a large possibility.

"Are you sure this will hide you from him Kurojaki?" Momoe asked as she looked him over before placing it around his neck.

"Yeah... you can't alter a viewing orb no matter how powerful you are."

"How could you possibly know that?" Lust asked as she tied her own around her neck.

"Because, I was around when it was first created... it's made of a very special crystal, if you try to alter it, the outside force shatters the orb. I can't remember why though, something about the crystals being forged from a goddess' tears."

"You're old," Kari teased as she poked him.

"Yeah, make fun of the demon that's only been alive around for 50 years... I'm only 25 if you're talking to another demon," He smiled.

"Damn... you're younger than me..." Lust pouted as she looked away.

"Quit complaining, it's not like it shows in us," He said as he got to his feet. "Thank you, now I need both of you to go back to the temple... please... I don't want either of you to be around when the barrier breaks."

"What about me?" Lust asked as she looked at him.

"I need your help, but if you want to stick around when I release my chaos, it's not like it will truly kill you..." He said as he started walking away. "Lead me to where he is... then you're free to go..."

"Okay, will do."

"Thank you," He said as he looked over his shoulder to Momoe and Kari, giving them an assuring wink of his eye before looking forward and disappearing in to the trees.

He looked around as Lust led him into the clearing, something seemed off, but it didn't seem right. He could feel this nagging sensation in his gut telling him that they were walking in to a trap. He wondered if Lust had anything to do with it, but he couldn't tell, and it was also possible that others simply sensed his energy, after all, he wasn't trying to suppress it anymore, after what had happened the night before, there was little to no point in doing so, he had probably drawn so much attention, no amount of suppression would help him.

"Stop, something doesn't feel right here," He said as he grabbed her shoulder.

"I know, I felt it too, but we need to get through here regardless, it's the shortest route, and you're in no condition to fight," She said as she looked at him. "Trust me, I'm a bit of an expert at reading people, you're not hiding much from me."

"Okay, what do you suggest?"

"Follow, simple as that."

With that she continued leading him through the forest, the forest getting thicker and darker the further they went with clearings few and far between. He couldn't shake the feeling though, it remained around him like an annoying fly. It didn't help that he was feeling tired and like he had little to no strength at all.

"Just a little further, there should be a cave that we can rest in for the night," Lust said as she took his hand and helped him up the large shelf of rock and clay. "Think you can make it?"

"I'll be fine," He said as he continued walking, removing his weapon strap and carrying it with him.

"Are you growing soft on me Kurojaki?" Lust asked with a smirk as she looked back at him.

"Don't push it," He growled. "I can still fight and win."

"I don't doubt it softy," She giggled as she pointed to the dark spot only a few yards away. "There's the cave."

Once in the cave, he removed his duster and set it next to him as he sat and leaned against the cave wall. His sword rested against his shoulder as his head leaned back, a soft sigh escaping his lips. Lust looked him over as he seemed caught up in relaxing.

"I can feel you staring at me you know," He said as he slowly moved and laid on his back, resting his head on his duster.

"Sorry... I've never seen a demon with scars," She said as she continued to look him over.

"The price you pay when you have a soul like I do... though they'll eventually disappear," He smiled and looked at her. "On the surface anyway."

"What do you mean?"

"The benefit of having a soul, shit tends to stick with you till the very end, or until you're finally able to move on."

"I see, it must be hard sometimes," She said as she moved closer to him. "I mean, especially if the scar was caused by someone you care about."

"You'd be surprised how easy it is to get over someone's betrayal," He said as he tapped his sword. "The tip of a sword fixes that most of the time."

"You're not very nice are you?"

"I am, to people who deserve it."

With that, he fell asleep, leaving her to stop her approach. She couldn't help herself but feel attracted to him. She often found herself falling for the very few who felt no attraction to her, felt nothing when she used her powers on them. Kurojaki was a special case though... the first demon with a soul that wasn't easily corrupted. She admired his strong will and desire to keep his morals in check.

"Well... good night I guess," She said as she sat back and fell asleep as well.

Morning came with a large growl from Kurojaki, one that curled her blood as she felt the hot liquid spill over her. Her eyes snapped open, seeing the ground covered in a steaming blood as a the sound of steel on stone reached her. She looked to find Kurojaki fighting off the large demon, larger than she had seen in the world of the living. This was a monster compared to her siblings, larger than Kurojaki's mother. She gasped as Kurojaki rolled away, dodging the large claws being swung at him. He came up once more as the ball of blue flames ignited in his hand, disappearing and slamming it into the demon's chest, the explosion burning away the fur of his forearm, but driving his hand straight through the demons chest. He grunted in pain, but ignited his flames once more on the massive heart now held in his hand. The demon roared and thrashed around as its heart was melted into oblivion.

"Are you okay?" She asked as he pulled his hand free, the demon drifting away in ash.

"I... don't know," He mumbled softly before his eyes closed and he collapsed.

"Damn it!" She said as she caught him before he hit the ground. "Why didn't the fighting wake me up?"

She gently laid him in her lap, reaching for his sword, but she hissed in pain as she touched it, pulling her hand away. It was burning hot, but it showed no signs of actual heating. Had it been enchanted, or was it simply something Kurojaki was doing while he was fighting. She didn't much care, she didn't have a weapon incase another demon appeared, and the demon that had just protected her was now unconscious.

"Guess I'll have no choice but to wait and hope nothing happens to us," She says as she looks at him. "This isn't good though... you're going to break any day now. Your moves are becoming more violent, and you're starting to show signs of a feral. I've never seen a demon with this kind of chaos, but then again, I've also never heard of a demon having a soul."

"It makes sense really... my brother doesn't have his clan's blood lust, he inherited the Satsui Clan's brutal fighting style, but he doesn't have the desire to fight and kill like the rest of them do when they enter a battle or confront their enemy."

"Who's there?" She asked as she looked around.

"My, my... you're almost as bad as him, helping the enemy," Ookami stepped into her field of vision, slowly approaching as he drew his sword.

"What are you doing here, and how did you know where to find us?"

"Simple really... he has no control over the amount of energy he uses," He chuckled. "He's quite easy to track in this state."

"Why are you here?"

"I'm getting tired of waiting for that stupid mark on his chest to give out, I'm here to break it myself," He said as he grabbed Kurojaki's hand and sword and started dragging him away. "I encourage you to come watch, after all, it's not every day you get to see someone so powerful fall when they're at the peak of their strength."

"He's your brother!"

"Wrong, he's my half brother..." He said as he looked back at her. "And I'm going to kill him in front of his mother, his little slut of a girlfriend, in front of the world!"

"Lady Karren... Why did Rosary bring all of us way out here?"

"I don't know, but something tells me we're in for a storm we don't want," She said softly as she looked around. "I feel an immense amount of demon energy here... unstable but controlled."

"Could it be Kurojaki?"

"No... this isn't as immense as his, plus I don't sense a soul," She said as she took Momoe's hand. "Come with me, we're going to investigate."

"Yes ma'am," Momoe followed without question.

"My my my, what a fantastic stage, don't you think brother?" Ookami asked as he looked down over the cliff to gathering at the bottom. "I say we deserve a larger audience though, but I guess it's enough."

"Ookami stop!" Lust said as she walked out of the trees. "Why do you want to be rid of your own brother?"

"I told you before!" He growled. "Kurojaki is only my half brother."

"What difference does it make?" She said as she started walking forward. "He's still related to you by blood and you want him dead!"

"Because he was the favorite... he's the air to the Satsui Clan, he has all the power, the skills, a forged blade just for him!" He shouted. "Where was my welcome, where was everything I deserved for half the Satsui blood running through my veins?"

"You're doing this because you're jealous!"

"Shut up!" He charged forward, slamming her against the tree. "I'm not jealous, I just want what's rightfully mine!"

"If you're going to attack your own brother just because he was accepted by his own family, than you don't deserve a thing," She choked out, gasping as he released her and she fell to the ground.

"Brave words from the out classed demon," He chuckled as he started walking towards Kurojaki again. "But I'm stronger than him, so let's prove that I deserve his place in hell more than he does!"

Ookami charged forward and delivered a strong kick, sending Kurojaki close to the edge of the cliff. He continued to laugh as he started walking forward, drawing his sword. He let it rest against his shoulder as he looked down on his brother.

"Hurry up big brother... we have a show to perform."

"I sense Kurojaki now too... but I don't sense any power from him, just his soul," Karren said as she stopped and looked to the cliff through the trees. "It feels like he's up there on top of that cliff."

"Because he is," The soft, feminine, monotone voice came.

"Who's there?" Momoe said as she leveled her staff in the direction of the voice.

"Put it down little girl, before you get yourself hurt," The large demon fox said as it stood from behind the boulders, equal in size to a house. "You can't take me on and walk away breathing afterwards."

She was a rich red with eight tails swaying behind her, and the lifeless, dull silver eyes that looked all too familiar. She sat, looking down at the pair.

"What's your name?" Karren bravely asked as she started walking forward.

"Tsune... of Satsui Clan," She said as she looked away, her eyes focusing on the cliff. "Are you here too watch as well?"

"What do you mean?"

"Watch what?"

"A battle between two demons... I was summoned to this world just too watch... I don't even know who it is fighting, my senses have been blocked."

"One I know is a demon named Kurojaki," Karren said, Tsune's eyes growing a bit wide as a small snarl escaped her. "I don't know of the other."

"Could it be Ookami?" Momoe asked as she looked at Karren. "He did kidnap me just to lure him in and force his Chaos out of him."

"If there's anyone you care about in the group over there, I suggest you bring them over here," She said as she looked down at them with thinly slitted eyes. "Or they could be dead by the end of this battle."

"Kari!" Momoe turned and ran to retrieve the younger girl.

"You know Kurojaki, don't you?" Karren asked as she looked towards the cliff.

"I know him and his brother," She said softly, dropping her act.

"Being a mother is quite difficult I imagine, even for demons," Karren said as she looked up at the large kitsune. "So that means Kurojaki and Ookami are members of the Satsui Clan?"

"No... only Kurojaki... he's the heir of the Satsui Clan," She said as she looked at the woman. "But his decisions have made him very hated within his clan. But no one dare challenge him because of how strong he's become, or how strong they know I am."

"You make it sound as though he's invincible," Karren said bluntly.

"He's not... far from it," She said as she looked up at the cliff once more. "He's actually easier to kill than most demons... just aim for his heart."

"You're kidding me," She said as she looked up at her. "I watched him get stabbed in the heart repeatedly and nothing happen!"

"Then they weren't touching his heart..."

"But they were, I know! I'm the one who..." She was cut off by the loud blast from atop the cliff.

"It's starting," She said as she nodded to the cliff. "And this won't be something you want to be caught in the middle of... trust me."

"Ookami..." Kurojaki growled lowly as he held his brother's foot from only inches away from his head as he lay on the ground. "I've been looking for you, you little bastard."

"You're finally awake!" He chuckled, pointing his sword down at Kurojaki's chest, holding it right over his heart. "Let's get this over with as quickly as possible, shall we?"

He thrust, but didn't get far as Kurojaki's flames exploded and sent him skipping across the grounds for a few yards. Kurojaki was surrounded by a strange purple energy as he got to his feet, thin eyes narrowed on his brother.

"You're going to need this," Ookami smiled as he tossed the large cutlass to him.

"Fuck you!" He said as he smacked the blade away and continued forward, the flames engulfing his entire right arm as he continued forward. "I'm going to beat the piss out of you and send you back to hell!"

With this growl he charged forward once more, colliding with his brother in an earth shattering attack. The dust filled the air, tinted violet by the energy Kurojaki was emitting. Lust coughed and shielded her eyes as she looked through her fingers at them. It was unreal to her, they were locked in a tight, close stance against each other. Kurojaki was using so much power that rocks and leaves were starting to levitate around him. Ookami was holding fast, unaffected by the pressure he was being put under as well as the flames that burned at his flesh.

"Believe or not Kurojaki... I'm stronger than you... you're going to have to try harder than that..." He smiled as he kicked his brother away and slashed him across the chest. "You won't have a chance at winning against me!"

"Shut the fuck up!" He came in powerfully, kicking him in the shin, delivering a slash of sharp claws at his chest, then finishing with a powerful uppercut that picked him up off the ground. "You put Momoe and Kari in danger, you betrayed your own brother, you're fighting for the enemy, and you carried your own love into it when she told you herself this isn't what she wanted!"

A hard round house sent him through the tree behind him, but when the dust settled he had disappeared. Kurojaki stood, looking around as his fur started to elongate a bit further, his claws becoming sharper, his canines growing bigger, and his red turning darker. He couldn't sense anything beyond his field of energy... he had to depend on his hearing, vision, and sense of smell.

"You think you're high and mighty, don't you, forcing your morals down my throat... thinking you can play on my feelings..." The voice was coming from everywhere. "But what you fail to forget... just because I'm your brother, I don't have a soul!"

The explosion sent him flying back to the edge of the cliff where he lay motionless, stunned and disoriented. Ookami came charging in once more as Kurojaki got to his feet slowly. He jumped into the thrust, but Kurojaki had already recovered as he grabbed the blade aimed for his heart, pulling it to the side as it cut open the palm of his hand, the punched, engulfed in flames once more, landed against Ookami's cheek, exploding and sending him flying away once more.

"That stung a little brother," He said as he charged in with another thrust. "But I've won this!"

Kurojaki reached out to grab it once more, but received a stinging surprise instead as dirt was thrown in his eyes. He grunted as the sword pierced his chest, feeling it exit his back. His eyes were blurry as he reached out and grabbed the handle of Ookami's sword.

"I win... worthless fuck," Ookami said as he dodged Kurojaki's weak attempt at a punch.

He jumped from the cliff, landing with a roll and grabbing Kurojaki's cutlass as he came to his feet and started walking towards the gathered Holy Order. He laughed as he saw the knights prepare their weapons.

"No!" Momoe cried as she was held back by Kari as well Karren. "Kurojaki!"

"Stop it Momoe... he's done!" Kari said. "It's over."

"Far from it," Tsune said as she nodded towards the levitating rubble above the cliff.

Kurojaki growled and roared as he slowly pulled the sword from his chest, feeling it slide free of his heart as the energy around him continued to build and build. Lust watched as the tip pulled free from the Angelic symbol over his heart. As it did so, she was blinded by more dust as the explosion of red energy surrounded him.

"Oh... did I not finish the job?" Ookami asked as he looked up the cliff over his shoulder. "Well I'll be..."

From the cloud of energy jumped the feral demon, without clothing, without weaponry. The blood red around his eyes and swirling around his tail was now so rich, it was as if he had dyed his fur with actual blood. He plummeted from the air with a roar that caused eardrums to bleed, landing with a large cloud of dust as well as the sound of cracking earth.

"Mmmm... did I anger the almighty Kurojaki?" Ookami asked as he started walking towards the cloud of dust. "When are you going to learn how to stay down?"

He didn't see it coming... not until the arm had already been shoved through his midsection, the blood covered hand and claws jutting from his solar plexus. Blood spurted from his lips into the hand before it pulled back. He could feel it grab hold of his ribs before the gut wrenching spin came and launched him into the cliff face. Kurojaki standing there as large and dangerous as ever on all fours, the severed rib falling from his hand as he started charging forward at a normal run until he was half way to his brother, another explosion taking place as he came in with a solid punch covered in red flames.

Momoe held her hand over her mouth with tears streaming down her cheeks as she watched her lover lose control. Tsune just sat watching, as did Karren who was shielding Kari's eyes.

"That's his Chaos form... The Blood Lust of the Satsui Clan was locked away inside his Chaos," Tsune said. "Interesting..."

"How can you say that?" Momoe suddenly yelled at her. "That's your son who just lost control! Aren't you going to do anything!?"

"Nope," She said. "This is his battle."

"How could you!" Momoe yelled once more. "You're a horrible mother!"

The claws came crashing down only inches from her as Tsune looked down at her with anger filled eyes. She couldn't cry, she couldn't breathe, she couldn't speak... she was so lost in the fear now that she couldn't even shake. Tsune's eyes held anger, but at the same moment, a tear spilled from her eye and soaked into her fur.

"You hold your tongue," She growled. "If you don't have the same faith in my son that the rest of us do... then you don't deserve him..."

Momoe sunk to her knees as the claws were withdrawn.

"Wow..." Ookami wheezed as he looked at the feral demon from where he lay, bleeding from multiple places, his healing factor not able to keep up with the amount of damage Kurojaki inflicted. "Look at you big brother... you're pretty strong..."

He growled as he reached down and grabbed Ookami by the throat, lifting him into the air. He drew back his other clawed hand, igniting it in the red energy once more.

"Gonna finish me off, eh?" He smiled, his eyes pointed to the sky. "There's no need... I'm done..."

Kurojaki growled once more as he slowly reached forward with the flames, slowly forcing it through his brothers chest. He wasn't in control... he wasn't conscious of anything except his thirst for his enemies blood.

"So... you're completely... Feral when you release your Chaos!" Ookami growled the hand was forced further and further inside him, once centimeter at a time... drawing his last amount of strength as he thrust Kurojaki's cutlass forward, putting it through his brother's stomach. "Wake up you idiot..."

Kurojaki growled once more as he suddenly thrust his hand the rest of the way through, Ookami falling limp in his hand before slowly turning to ash and descending into the earth once more. Kurojaki turned on the Holy Order, the sword still jutting from the bottom right side of his stomach. He started walking towards them... the knights ready but shaking and slowly backing up with each step from the feral Kurojaki that faced them.

"Kurojaki!" Tsune burst from the trees, facing her child in a challenging pose. "You come at me, not them!"

Kurojaki roared as he started charging his own mother. Closing the distance quite quickly, but something happened as he neared her. He suddenly burst into blue flames, skidding across the ground until he lay unconscious only yards away from her.

"Now! Now!" Rosary shouted to her followers. "Kill that monster!"

Tsune jumped forward, landing over Kurojaki with a loud, energy filled roar that froze them where they stood. Karren, Momoe, and Kari all rushing from the trees and under the protective demon, but Kurojaki was lifeless, and his fur was lightly singed from his own flames.

"Momoe, start working on that sword, he's been stabbed in the heart, we've got to heal him before it's too late!" Karren said as her hands started glowing green, pressing them to his bleeding chest. "Now damn it!"

"Kurojaki," She said sadly as she grabbed the sword, screaming as her hands started burning, but she pulled it free regardless. "Hang in there."
