Because fuck it. I enjoyed the game, so I resorted to doin one of these too. X3

"Da-da-da-da-dada~da-dada-dada_da_," hummed a small, black furred child as he scaled the mountains of miscellaneous garbage, making an effort to avoid hopping into the water, "dada-dada-da_da_~da-dada-da." He stumbled a bit before catching himself, pausing to re-adjust the plastic mask strapped over his face. "DUN-da-DUN-da_DUN_~" he resumed, climbing with a little more vigor than before. "Da-dun-DUN-Zewo~ Da-dun-da-mmwo~ Da-dun-EEE-jibwn,DEEN dawee- Da-bwoo-da-mini~ Da-dun-WOAH-da mewo~ Dun-dun-Zewo~" He stopped and gasped as he caught sight of a tail a bit further off from him. Making an exaggerated gasp, he crouched lower and began to traverse the garbage as silently as he could (which didn't end up being all that quiet).

Alphys haphazardly dug at the pile of garbage before her. She wasn't searching for anything today; she was just doing this out of habit. More letters had appeared at her door and...well...the dump was a good place to take her mind off of things. With the sounds of garbage falling and tumbling down from where she dug, she had no way of noticing the approach of the small, masked child. Well...at least she _wouldn't..._had he not tripped over his own footpaw and landed in a pile of random junk.

The loud THWUMP of his fall startled Alphys, making her jump violently. She whirled around and her eyes fell upon the black furred boy as he picked himself back up. As soon as he saw her looking at him, he gasped and scrambled back up to his feet.

"Hawt, ebiw dower," he spoke with a raised voice, placing one paw on his hip and using the other to point at her, "you won't tewowize deez citisens anymowe!" Alphys blinked once, tilting her head in confusion.

"Um..." she scratched her head, "e-excuse me?" The cub placed his pointing paw on his hip.

"Don't act wike you don't know," he replied, "You awe a monstew dat is hewe to dweaten da peapow. So I'm hewe to stop you!" He struck an exaggerated battle pose, causing part of the garbage mountain to give out from under his feet. He stumbled and nearly fell over, but he caught himself in time. After he regained his balance, he struck the same pose again and growled.

Alphys stared at the boy, confusion written all over her face. Is...is this actually happening right now? she thought to herself. She pinched her arm. Oh my god... It is... The boy suddenly let out a sort of battle cry, making Alphys' heart jump. Then the boy began to run forward, making her scramble back in shock and fear. But before he could reach her, his foot caught up against something out of his line of sight, making him trip and fall flat on his face. A moment of silence passed with him just on the ground. Then, the kid pushed himself up with his paws, his mask falling away to reveal his feline face. As the boy scrunched his eyes closed and wiped them with a paw, he gasped in horror as he realized that his mask had fallen off.

His eyes snapped open and he looked back down on the ground. He sat up and plucked the mask out from the garbage. However, as soon as he did, the plastic mask snapped in two with a loud CRACK! The boy gasped as the mask fell apart in his paws, his lips beginning to quiver. Then, his eyes began to squint, and his shoulders began to jerk. And then, the boy broke into tears, growing increasingly loud as he cried.

All the while, Alphys stared at the child in bewilderment. There were so many things she wanted to ask, but she was still reeling from the heart attack she had nearly experienced. Once her heart rate was at a..._reasonable_pace, she carefully padded over to the crying cub and knelt down to his level.

"H...hey there," she said gently, prompting the child to look at her, but not getting him to cry any less, "wh-what's the matter?" The boy cried louder and pointed at his mask.
