Chapter 1

i.

The man flipped through the introduction pamphlet quickly. Saying that he briefly glanced at the pages would be a generous overstatement. He was too excited to read anyways. He finally found them. After searching for months with the only information basis he had for their existence was a rumor he heard at a party, and any information that took more than a few seconds to find in the year 2037 was something to be excited about.

He had already signed the papers. Yes he realized the physical and psychological ramifications of his actions. Yes he was willing to sign over his identity and all his worldly possessions to Asif Administrations and all that legally pertains in exchange for payment for use of Asif Administrations biological alteration facilities and private living facilities. Blah blah blah legal blah blah blah.

Now he had to sit in the waiting room. He would be annoyed that there was a wait considering the secrecy involved in this whole escapade. Oh well, can't be helped. So he sat and he waited and tapped his foot. He flipped through the pamphlet. He bent the pamphlet into interesting shapes. Finally a woman wearing a lab coat and a tight bun in her hair came out to greet him.

"We're ready to perform the procedure now sir." She waved the man towards the door she had come through. "Right this way sir."

As the both entered the next room, a carbon copy of the previous one except with fewer chairs, the woman directed the man to sit in the padded one in the center of the room. Next to the padded chair was a metal tray with alcohol pads, a vial, and an empty syringe.

"This isn't where you perform the procedure is it?" ask the man, his voice shaking half from excitement and half from nervousness.

"Of course not sir," she said in a soothing tone "this is only where we sedate the patients. We here at Asif find it is a more relaxing setting then the surgical room. We don't want to upset our clients. After all, this is the start of a new life."

And with that she jab the needle into his arm.

His eyes opened and the world was a green blur. The light cast on his eyes was thankfully shaded by the green blurs that he could probably assume were trees. Blinking his eyes a few times to clear his vision he quickly deduced that he was indeed lying in the middle of a forest.

Rapidly remembering what had just taken place he quickly looked down at his body and gave a gasp of pleasant surprise. His brown oaky coloured fur covered every inch of him except for the pads on his hands and feet. He reached up and touched his face. He felt his new canine muzzle protruding from his fur covered face. He couldn't wait to get to a body of water and study his reflection.

In his excitement he began to breathe rapidly and heavily, almost hyperventilating. It didn't help the situation any. For with these breaths he soon discovered the world that had never known before. A cavalcade of new smells attacked his senses. The instinct that had lain dormant in his brain had now awakened allowing him to identify them.

After calming himself a bit he took a few deep breaths, enjoying the plentiful aromas of the forest. The musty smell of tree trunks, the soft spicy tang of the many forest plants, the wet green smell of the grass beneath him. Then his new nose caught a scent he could not identify. His decision to track down the mystery scent was made rather quickly. For one: he did not sense any immediate threat in the odor, and two: what else did he have to do.

He began to track the odor through the forest. He started on his hind legs but noticed the odor was easier to track closer to the ground. Bending down on all fours he was surprised at how easy it was to move in this position. He tracked the scent through the tall grass and undergrowth till he stopped in a particularly thick bush. His newly acquired ears had picked up some rustling ahead. Peaking through the thick growth he spied the source of the smell.

Bent over in a slight clearing was a beautiful doe. The dog was positioned so all he could see was her white rump in the air. He quickly debated in his head whether to introduce himself to the first denizen of this place he had encountered or to move on till he found a place where he knew he would be well received. Both seemed like sound options but his body made easily the stupidest decision possible before his mind had anything to say about it. He began to creep closer to the doe. With all of his newfound instincts kicking in he made virtually no noise. The new smell had entranced him as he moved closer and closer. He recognized the smell of the doe herself, but there was an additional scent. This was the smell that drew him ever closer.

The doe continue to rummage at the base of the tree, still bent over. The newly turned anthromorph was easily a fingers length a way and yet she made no visible signs that she noticed him. Now that the dog was this close he was able to detect the source of the engrossing aroma. It was coming from the doe's crotch. This newfound realization only came as a half surprise when the dog had realized that the scent had been causing stirrings in his body since he had first differentiated the does scent from this one. And as before, with a mixture of newly discovered physicality and instincts, the dog acted without thinking. He stuck out his tongue and began to lick the source of his new favorite smell.

The Doe let out a combined squeal of surprise and delight and grinded back into the Dogs mouth.

"ooooo Kurbeneth feeling a bit charitable today are we?" said the Doe between heavy breaths "Usually you're all grab and thrust these days." The Doe turned around to smile at the person she thought she was addressing and gave a slight gasp.

"Oh my!" the Doe quickly regained her composure and smiled again, "I should have figured, Kurbeneth isn't that generous of a lover."

As if to respond the comment the Dog began to lick more vigorously at the slit between the Doe's legs. The Doe let out a groan and grinded back into the Dogs mouth. The Dog wrapped his paws around the Doe's shapely rump and angled his mouth better. The Dogs tongue licked deeper and deeper so he could drink up the sweet tasting juices.

"Oh god yes, that's the spot!" The Doe suddenly let a long loud groan and wrapped her arms around the tree tightly. The Doe's slit convulsed around the Dog's tongue and a flood of juices entered his mouth, which he lapped up eagerly. After a few moments the spasms stopped and the Doe let go of the tree and wrapped her arms around the Dog. "That was amazing" she said as she kissed him on the cheek. The Dog just nodded and smiled. The Doe yawned and snuggled up against his chest. They lay in the sun warmed grass and fell asleep together.

"So I'm Asintha. What's your name?" The Dog opened eyes and saw a pair of golden brown eyes looking back into his own; her warm fur lying on top of his own.

"Well now my name is Ragabon"

"Oh! So you are new!" Asintha giggled to herself.

"Yeah," he laughed too "Just woke up today."

"I figured that," she giggled again "Most of the newly turned take a little time getting used to the new strength of their instincts." Ragabon looked embarrassed and mumbled something. Asintha smiled and said "What? Speak up."

"I said sorry about that. I just kind of lost control"

"Hee hee, no harm done. It's been far too long since someone has done that for me."

"Speaking of which you said something about a Kurbeneth?" A look of worry suddenly crossed Asintha's face. "I didn't mean to upset you."

"I forgot all about him, but it's you I worried about."

"Why?" Suddenly he heard a growl of anger and a strange gruff voice shout out.

"Asintha you bitch!" This sudden aggression caused Ragabon to stand up. As he did a large Buck walked out of the growth on the other side of the clearing. He stalked over till he was about seven feet from Ragabon. He look extremely put off.

"Kurbeneth I take it? Listen this is all my fault."

"Shut up!" he spit when he talked, "she should know her place!"

"Her place?" Ragabon scrunched up his muzzle quizzically. Asintha spoke up in a quiet voice.

"He's my alpha male."

"Damn right I am," he was practically foaming at the mouth at this point, "and you touched her, you touched my female. I am going to rip you to pieces."

"I don't suppose we could settle this without violence?" Ragabon tried to sound confident, but really he was scared shitless. He had been in one fight in his entire life, and he had a feeling that if he gotten horribly beaten in ninth grade then it was going to happen again.

Kurbeneth let out a final growl and charged at Ragabon. Without even thinking Ragabon jump straight into the air and Kurbeneth slid right under him. When Ragabon landed he took advantage of the momentary surprise and did a sweeping kick that knocked the bucks legs from underneath him. Kurbeneth hit the ground hard; knocking the wind out of him. While Kurbeneth was on his back Ragabon did a descending heel kick onto his throat. Kurbeneth let out a final gagging gasp for air then lost consciousness.

Ragabon stood over him breathing hard. Asintha walked up behind him and put a hand on his shoulder. "Where did you learn to do that?"

"I have no idea"

"Must have been a recessed instinctual trait" Ragabon looked at her.

"You been here a long time haven't you?"

"A lot longer then you have big boy." She patted him on the back. "Now let's go."

"Go?" He scrunched his muzzle again "Go where?"

"To your village of course."

"My village?"

"Didn't you ever pay attention in school? You just defeated the alpha male. Don't you have any idea what that means?" As the knowledge dawned on him she saw the look of "oh my" enter his face. "Come on," she giggled "I'll introduce you to the rest of the girls."

Epilogue

Kurbeneth lay unconscious in the center of the clearing. Suddenly a contingent of soldiers arose from the woods and surrounded him. They were all heavily armored from head to toe making their species indistinguishable. The one soldier with a red stripe above the right eye of his helmet radioed the all clear. A figure wearing similar armor except instead of a chest plate and helmet he wore a red hooded sweat shirt. The hood was up making his face indiscernible. He looked down at Kurbeneth and spoke.

"Take him back to the compound."
