  • * * *His eyes were red from crying, his cheek fur was matted from the tears, and his whole expression was screaming in depression. The cougar, his cougar, was tormented about something horrible. They pulled out of the driveway and started down the street in the opposite direction of Zeke's house, which confused him a bit. The tormented cougar looked over at his red panda and was about to say something but was stopped as another set of tears flowed from his eyes. He reached over to comfort the cougar, his cougar, by rubbing his shoulder. Zeke pulled to a stop then looked over at the red panda all out of tears and said, "Ayden, hon, I have horrible news. I'm.."* Ayden was sitting on his couch thinking the dream over. School was okay, but the red panda spent most of the day trying to decipher his premonition like dream. *What could be that bad to make Zeke cry like that? * Ayden thought to himself on his couch as he waited for the cougar to get home. Tonight was the night that Ayden and Zeke were going to have dinner with the cougar's parents, which only uneased the red panda more. Since there was no homework assigned Ayden had nothing to do. Nothing to keep his mind off his dream or the dinner he'd be attending in just a few hours. Ayden sighed as he saw the time the clock read, *5:30. Zeke will be here soon and then we go to dinner. * Ayden thought to himself as he got up and walked to his room. As he undressed the red panda thought about what he should wear. Finally deciding on the perfect outfit to look casual yet dressed up; he put on black and white pinstripe tight jeans, a white tight tank top under shirt, a black button up shirt over top of that which would've blended in with his black fur perfectly if the sun hadn't faded it out, and a whit tie. Ayden examined himself in his mirror, turning at different angles. Normally he wouldn't care so much about how he looked but tonight was going to be an important night and he wanted to make a good impression. A few seconds later he saw his phone light up on his dresser. He got a text message from Zeke, *I'm here. You ready to go? * Ayden stuffed the phone and his new iPod in his front pocket, along with his wallet in the back, and house key in his other front pocket. He picked up his school bag on the way out because it was already planned that Ayden would be staying with Zeke that night. Ayden walked out to Zeke's car after locking his front door. Throwing his bag in the back seat, Ayden took his spot in the front passenger seat. Zeke looked over Ayden's outfit with a smile then gave him a quick kiss on the lips before saying, "You look amazing hon." Ayden blushed slightly as he fastened his seatbelt, "You don't look too bad yourself hon," Ayden replied. Zeke was wearing white skinny jeans and a tight white button up shirt. It was only buttoned halfway up his chest leaving the rest of his defined furry body in the open, "Why thank you," Zeke replied with a slight blush. The two made the 20 minute trip to Zeke's restaurant while listening to Drop Dead, Gorgeous, mainly to keep Zeke awake from a tiring football practice. They arrived in what seemed like no time at all. Ayden was even more nervous now than he was at the Football potlatch a few nights ago, but he was trying as hard as he could to keep his composure. He was barely succeeding and the cougar could easily tell his mate was nervous, "Calm down hon," Zeke said as he wrapped an arm around the red panda's shoulder, "My parents are very easy to get along with. I've already told them a lot about you and they're anxious to meet you." Ayden nodded and let Zeke lead him into the restaurant trying to relax a bit. The passed several rushed waiters and waitresses on their way to the elevator that would take them to their table. They'd be dining at the same table that Ayden and Zeke had their first date at. Zeke kissed Ayden on the forehead as they rode up to their table; "Everything is going to be fine," Zeke, said trying to comfort the red panda. *I hope so, * Ayden couldn't help but think to himself, his dream still occupying many his thoughts. As the doors opened Ayden could see the two-person table had been swapped out for a four-person table, Zeke's parents. Two cougars were already filling half of the seats. Both were wearing business suits that showed both of them were clearly physically fit. Zeke's dad looked to be 2 inches taller than Zeke but easily 200 pounds of muscle. Zeke's mom maybe and inch and a have to 2 inches shorter than Zeke, she didn't display the build of a very muscular women but she did display that she kept careful care of her body. Ayden took in these observations in a second before Zeke led him to the table. Zeke's parents stopped their conversation just as they were getting to the table and they both stood up. "So, you're Ayden are you? My name is Ezekiel," Zeke's dad said in a deep rough voice as he held out a muscular paw. Ayden took the paw in his own, which was just a little smaller than the cougar's, "Yeah I am. Pleasure to meet you," Ayden said trying to keep his voice straight, though Ezekiel picked up his nervousness easily and smiled as his wife offered her paw out to the red panda. "And I'm Kathy," Zeke's mom said as the two shook paws and they all sat down. Zeke and Ayden were next to each other, Zeke was across from his dad and his mom was sitting across from Ayden, "Zeke's told us a lot about you but we felt we should get to know you a little better." "Okay, sounds good." Ayden replied and they all situated themselves to eat. "What grade marks do you receive and what is your GPA?" Ezekiel was the first to start the questions. "I'm a straight A student, last quarter I obtained a 4.0" Ayden replied. School was always easy for the red panda and he took pride in his grades. "Do you have a job?" Kathy asked shortly after Ayden's response. "Well in the summer I'm a lifeguard at the public swimming pool. After summer is over I would host at a restaurant here in town, but they sold the building so I'm looking for another job at the moment." Ayden replied. "Well what a coincidence. Joshua, our head host, has been hospitalized from a car crash and we need to fill his position. Would you be interested?" Ezekiel explained. "Most definitely." Ayden responded with a slight smile. Just then the elevator doors opened and their dinner was brought in. Their waiter was the same husky that waited Ayden and Zeke on their first date, Brent. He walked in with a tray holding four glasses of water. After setting down the water he took out a small pad and a pen, "Can I get you anything else to drink?" Ezekiel ordered a lemonade, Kathy ordered an ice tea, while Ayden and Zeke both ordered sodas. "Okay, are you ready to order now or would you like a few minutes?" Brent asked after writing down the small list of beverages. They all decided to take a few minutes to decide since they had spent all their time getting to know Ayden. Brent left shortly after to get the drinks and the group decided on what to eat. A few short minutes later Brent was back again now carrying a tray of the beverages they had ordered. Brent placed the drinks in front of the correct fur then took out his pad and pen a second time, "Are you ready to place your orders?" the husky asked. They answered yes and one by one read off what they'd like to eat. Zeke ordered a medium-well steak with a side order of fries and a salad, Ayden got the same but replaced the steak with a cheeseburger, Kathy ordered the salmon special, and Ezekiel ordered the barbeque chicken. Then Brent took the menus and left the diners to eat. "So Ayden, what made you want to date Zeke?" Ezekiel's question had made Ayden even more nervous than he was before and it was clearly showing. Ayden looked over into Zeke's eyes as he answered, "Well he's kind, considerate, caring, he's chivalrous, he knows how to lift my mood when I'm down, he's willing to help another no matter how tough the problem seems, he never gives up, and amongst all the other things he makes me happy every second I'm with him." The two were smiling at each other as they both blushed. Kathy and Ezekiel smiled at each other but quickly faded into a frown, as they knew what they were going to have to do. Luckily for them, Ayden and Zeke were too busy looking into each other's eyes that they didn't notice, "Well Ayden, I think I speak for my husband as well when I say you are the perfect mate for Zeke and we wouldn't want him to be with anyone else." Ayden blushed as the couple's attention was redirected to Zeke's parents, "Thank you." By then their meals had arrived and they began eating their meals. Before they knew it they had finished their meals and were getting up to leave before Kathy stopped them, "Um Zeke, sweetie, could you please drop Ayden off at his house so we can have a talk? If you still want him to stay over afterwards you can go pick him back up." Zeke and Ayden looked at each other then at Kathy, confused at her request, "Uh sure Mom, I'll meet you back at home." Zeke did just as his mom asked and took Ayden home. The entire ride Ayden and Zeke were trying to figure out what was so important that Ayden had to stay at home. But before they new it they were already at Ayden's house and exchanging their goodbyes. "Don't worry hon, I'm sure it's nothing. Maybe they just want some alone time with you after being gone." Ayden tried to comfort the cougar. "Yeah, that seems likely," Zeke agreed, "But don't worry, I'll be back to pick you up as soon as possible." Ayden smiled, "Okay, see you in a bit," The two kissed after their final goodbye then Ayden made his way back inside. Ayden went straight to his room contemplating how he'd fill the time. He estimated it would take Ezekiel and Kathy about a half hour to get through the talk. After a little debating, Ayden decided he would get on MSN. He opened his laptop and logged one. 14 new e-mail. 1 request to join your network. The notifications popped up as soon as he logged on. Then one second later: Avalar says: Long time no talk. How ya been? The Red Panda says: Not too bad but I think that's going to change soon. What about you? Avalar says: ? What do you mean by "I think that's going to change soon"? I've been pretty good. The Red Panda says: I had a dream, the premonition one, and it wasn't pretty. It was more of a nightmare. Ayden heard a car pull into his driveway and when he looked out of the window he could see it was Zeke. *It's only been 10 minutes. That barely gives him enough time to get to his house and back here. What's going on? * Ayden thought to himself. The Red Panda says: I gotta go. Ayden didn't bother logging off or shutting down, he simply shut the laptop and threw it onto his bed. He hurried out to Zeke's car. He could tell something was wrong the instant he opened the door. Zeke always played music in his car, he'd play his iPod through the car that way he didn't have to listen to radio commercials, but there was no music. Ayden got in confused and worried. He buckled his seatbelt then looked over at Zeke. His eyes widened slightly, fearful at the sight he saw. His eyes were red from crying, his cheek fur was matted from the tears, and his whole expression was screaming in depression. I'm...I'm..." His tears stopped his sentence short. "Y-yes hon?" Ayden fearfully choked out. "I'm moving." *(To BE CONTINUED*) * * * Well there's the last part of Foresight and luck I'll be posting for a while. I will be focusing my attention on Foresight and friendship and Runaways instead. If I get enough requests, I might type another chapter of this, but even I doubt that. Anyways, thanks for reading.
