Hey peeps, what's the haps? Lol Anyway, I am kind of still sadden by the last two chapters! Poor Rio... Anyway, Wait till I tell you this. Yes, that's right there is good news! I will now be treating this story like a sitcom, however I will not change anything in anyway to make it any less of a story. If this works the way I would like it to... then it will help the story greatly! I plan on adding two things, first a preview summary of what happened last chapter so the readers don't have to go back and reread anything in case they forgot something or in case I take my sweet time submitting another chapter of Dragon Storm. Secondly, I plan on adding an "Arthur's cliffhanger comment". I do not know what it is really called or if it even has a name for it, but I will begin to do that. One more thing I have been looking into inputting a picture using random punctuation patterns. It will be hard so I think I will research more on this. Also whenever you see this ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ It means the scene is switching while it still being a flash back. Anyway without further delay please enjoy the chapter! ^-^

Dragon Storm

-PREVIOUSLY ON DRAGON STORM-

Rio looked around the room and saw nothing, but BLACK FANG members.

"No way! This can't be happening to me!! We are the good guys...good guys don't lose." Rio said, and then stumbled out of the bed.

"Shut up you idiot!! " Cross wing said.

"You are here because we fixed you up so you should be thankful you have friends like us!" War wolf said.

"Can you believe they made me drag your sorry ass all the way back here.?" Tiger Wanghu said firmly.

Rio looked at Tiger Wanghu and saw he was a bloody mess. Whatever happened to him must have been while Rio was passed out. Most likely either Lazz or the giant beast.

"You monster! Tell me what happened to Lazz? What did you do to him?!" Rio asked while raising his claws into the air to strike.

"I wouldn't make a move like that if I were you boy!"

Rio turned around to see who said that. He could not believe who it was. However sure enough he was standing in front of him with a revolver at point blank between Rio's eyes.

"Wild Horn..." Rio said.

"Hmph, you thought you really killed me didn't you? That's the last mistake you will ever make!" Wild Horn said.

"Wow...not even the god of death wants me...nor do the bad guys...Maybe...I am better off dead..." Rio thought.

"I will have my revenge boy!!" Wild Horn said, and then shot his gun at Rio at point blank.

The sound of his revolver going off echoed in the dimly lit room and then there was a dead silence. Everyone just watched what just happened. They could not believe it even though it had happened right in front of them.

CHAPTER 10: Prelude to the Apocalypse, the BLACKFANG unit's Motives!

Everyone gasped in shock as they witnessed Wild Horn's most recent action. Some of Rio's blood spattered on Wild Horn. Rio just stood there motionless, not even blinking or breathing. The griffin female that had healed his wounds uncovered her face and saw Rio fall to his knees. The angle that she could see was that Wild Horn was standing in front of Rio, and was almost completely covered up by Rio's mass. Wild Horn was only visible by her when Rio fell on his knees.

"You killed him?!" The female griffin said.

"That's enough May!! I order you to get a hold of your self! Caring about the enemy....how disgraceful. "

"Sorry...father your right!" May said.

"General Andal! I know it's not my place to say this, but maybe you should treat your daughter better. After all she has the best "G.O.N." I've ever seen. " War Wolf said.

"If I were you I would not say another word!" General Andal said.

"It's too late! Not even I can heal death itself!" May said.

"Just leave it alone War Wolf he won't listen to you anyway." Cross Wing.

"Wild Horn......why....did you........kill......him?" Tiger Wanghu said out of breath.

"..............................." Wild Horn ignored him, but kept his stance and looked down at Rio.

"Who cares? Your just like my stupid daughter, You care about the enemy!! Wasn't it him who killed Thunder Pegasus? Wasn't it him who set the pseudo-chimera on the loose? Wasn't it him who killed nearly 300 of my griffin soldiers?" General Andal said loudly.

"Not to mention he set free all the experimental creatures and animals. Now our project is delayed even more so." Cross Wing said.

" Do you think they will hand over the ransom as planned?" War Wolf asked.

"....It.....will....be the....end of them.........if they.........don't agree." Tiger Wanghu.

"Don't move, your hurt bad. Let me heal you." May said.

May walks over to tiger Wanghu and sticks her golden feathers out. Suddenly, a bright teal colored light appears from out of nowhere and glows around Tiger Wanghu. It begins to heal all his wounds slowly. Tiger Wanghu felt comforting warmth while in this light. Everyone watched as May proceeded to heal Tiger Wanghu.

" I'm feeling better already.... thanks May!" Tiger Wanghu said.

"Anytime!" May said.

"So does anybody know why Rock Lizard assembled us all here?" Cross Wing asked.

"I would like to know why I had to drag the dragon who is now dead here." Tiger Wanghu said.

"If your not caring about them then you are complaining about them!" General Andal stated.

" Where is he anyway? Shouldn't the one who wanted the assembly be here?" War Wolf asked.

They all just stood there and pondered about all the mass confusion. They didn't know what to do and some of them didn't care. May wanted to say something, but she was afraid of her father and didn't want to. Cross Wing and General Andal are the ones that didn't care, because they felt that they had better things to do. War Wolf and Tiger Wanghu had a steady friendship. They got along well enough for the most part, but really they were in it for the ransom. Regardless of any of that, all of them waited anyway for rock Lizard to show himself. However what they didn't know was that he was already there.

"Wild Horn, do you perhaps know of the whereabouts of our boss, Rock Lizard?" War Wolf asked.

"Your soo lucky boy!" Wild Horn said.

"Whoa!" Rio gasped for air.

Everyone in the room was flabbergasted. Rio was alive? They didn't know how or why, but they all pulled out their weapons to make sure he didn't try anything. Rio got up and felt the side of his face. There was a sharp pain and blood trailed down. The bullet must have grazed him along the side of his face. Rio knew that Wild Horn was not bad at aiming, so either he missed on purpose or something made him.

"Now, now Wild Horn I still need to talk to him. After all that's why I had Tiger Wanghu go through the trouble of bringing him back to us." Rock Lizard said, and then showed himself.

He appeared out of nowhere and his hand was grabbing Wild Horn's revolver. He must have guided Wild Horn's arm to the side so that the shot would miss. Rio did not know why Rock Lizard just did him the favor of saving his life, but Rio was glad to still be alive. Rio looked around the room and noticed his S&M 9mm and the red and black blade that he got from Yun. Rio looked at the female griffin and saw her healing Tiger Wanghu's wounds.

"What could you want to talk to me about I wonder?" Rio said.

"Why are you here, you look to young for this kind of mission." Rock Lizard asked.

"I'm not so sure myself, isn't she to young also." Rio said and pointed toward the female griffin.

"Me? " May asked.

"May? May is old enough. By the way, what did you say your name was?" Rock Lizard asked

"I didn't say it, but it's Rio." Rio said.

"Rio huh? Do you know what May is doing?" Rock Lizard asked.

"It looks to me like she is healing Tiger Wanghu...Rock Lizard. " Rio said.

"That's funny I don't recall giving you my name." Rock Lizard said.

"It's not hard to figure out. Besides it makes sense since Wild Horn didn't do anything to resist against you messing up his shot." Rio said.

"Very well. Anyhow, yes May is healing Tiger Wanghu... but at the cost of her own Quintessence." Rock Lizard said.

"Quintessence? What's that?" Rio asked.

"It is life energy. She is giving up her own life energy to heal his wounds. This is her power, this is her G.O.N." Rock Lizard explained.

"G.O.N.? That is a strange name for a power." Rio stated.

"It is not the name of her power, but rather the name of the gift she was given by Nuker. You see G.O.N.(Gene of Nuker) stands for Gene of Nuker." Rock Lizard said.

"Ok... I follow you so far, but who is Nuker and what does this have to do with me?" Rio asked.

" This is what I wanted to talk to you about. Our ransom is the remains of Nuker. He was said to be the world's most powerful and legendary dragon, with over a million powers. He was undefeated and well known. However one day he died from an internal illness and his remains were captured and stored till this day. His genes are still said to be alive with in the remains of his body and with them his G.O.N.s. I can rule over the government with powers like that, and then rule the world. This is where you come in...Rio. Do you know where they are keeping his remains?" Rock Lizard asked.

" I don't know. I'm sorry." Rio said.

"Sir! I'm using my G.O.N right now and I can tell he is not lying." War Wolf said.

"What else did you find while probing his mind War Wolf?" Rock Lizard asked.

"He is really just about as normal as they come sir. He is a little depressed, but other then that." War Wolf said.

"Great. He is a physic. I'll try not getting that confused for psycho." Rio thought.

"I heard that." War Wolf said.

".......Whatever, there is something I have been wanting to ask and is only fair since I answered your question. How did you survive my attack Wild Horn? " Rio asked.

"It was simple boy. I reached into my pocket at the last moment right before you used your G.O.N. on me. I pulled out a syringe that I injected myself with and it protected me from any heat source around me. Too bad it only works once though, it comes in handy when you're fighting a fire breather. I landed on the other side of the blocked path via ruble and headed back here." Wild Horn explained.

(Flashback: An earlier event)

. He then inhaled the biggest breath of air he had ever inhaled before and Wild Horn knew right then what was coming and had no way to defend himself. Wild Horn was to weak to evade it this time. His body felt very heavy to him, as this long battle had weakened his muscles. Just then, Wild Horn noticed something about Rio. Rio's red skin was glowing red and repeatedly pulsed red. Wild Horn quickly ran away for his life and reached into his pocket to grab something when suddenly Rio exhaled a blood red flame so big that for Wild Horn it was completely unavoidable. There was a huge explosion and the exit was sealed via debris.

(Flash forward: Stronghold HQ)

"It looks like your skin pulses red when ever your using your G.O.N. As for what it dose I don't know, but it looks like it lets you spit out bigger fireballs then you normally can." Wild Horn said.

"Hyper combustion? That's all? Why would I need to pulse red for that? So just to make sure I got this...May's G.O.N. is to heal, War Wolf is telepathy, and Lazz is camouflage?" Rio asked.

That's right Rio." Rock Lizard said.

" Well that's nice of you guys to tell me all this, but I really got to get going." Rio said.

" Wait! Remember that giant creature you encountered? That was our latest project we were working on." Rock Lizard said.

"Oh yeah, I over heard you guys talking...I think you called it the Pseudo-chimera didn't you? What the heck is that thing anyway?" Rio asked.

"As I said, our project. We capture animal from around the world and experiment on them. We then started to turn them into small creatures. After that we created the Chimera. Chimera's were said to be feared by all... even dragons. That's right you dragons think your so high and mighty with your top of the food chain position, but the chimeras were said to be dragon hunters. If we do this right we can create a army of chimeras and over run the D.E.O.!" Rock Lizard said.

"You're planning on taking over the Dragon Enforcers Organization?" Rio asked.

"Not take it over, destroy it! I know that's where they got to be hiding the remains of Nuker!!" Rock Lizard exclaimed.

"I see...so can I go now?" Rio asked.

" I'm afraid not. Now that I told you my plans I can't have you telling anyone else...I have no farther use for him...Kill him! " Rock Lizard said.

"I should have known he wouldn't be able to tell me anything useful, I told him more things he wanted to know instead tricky little brat I'll give him that much." Rock Lizard thought.

"I knew they were all being a little too friendly." Rio thought.

"We are friendly, just not with you." War Wolf said.

"Shut up! And will you stop doing that!?" Rio said.

Just then General Andal pulled out an H&K MP5 and started firing it at Rio. Rio quickly dodged the rapid gunfire and dived for where his S&M 9mm and sword was. Wild Horn was in the way of a few shots and nearly evaded the gunfire and shot at where Rio dodged. Rio saw this coming and quickly strapped the sheathed sword around him and jumped out of the way and shot his handgun at Rock Lizard who simply turned his back and the bullet was blocked. He then exited the room while laughing. Meanwhile Wild Horn's bullet ricocheted off the wall and knocked General Andal's machine gun out of his hands. May panicked and reached for the cross bow on her back and aimed an arrow at Rio in midair and fired it. Rio quickly grabbed it and snapped it in half and landed right behind her and exhaled a fireball at Tiger Wanghu and was about to use May as a hostage. Just then however War Wolf used his G.O.N. to control Rio's arm and made him aim his S&M at his face and forced him to press the trigger. However it was too late. Rio had already unclipped the magazine and all the gun did was make a click noise. Tiger Wanghu dodged the fireball and rushed at Rio and went for an uppercut. Rio was still shocked by what War Wolf did and the hit landed. This sent Rio into the air and Cross Wing smiled as she shot off her PSG-1 sniper rifle. Rio could do nothing and got shot by Cross Wing. Blood spurted out and Rio landed on the ground with a thud. Just then General Andal reached his H&K and started to fire it again. Everyone got out of the way and shot their weapon at Rio. Rio Struggled to get up and as he only got hit by Wild Horn's shot, dodged everyone else's. Rio screamed in pain and shot a breath of fire at them all making them all dodge it and fire back. Rio quickly jumped on the wall and started to run on it very quickly. Rio dodged all the incoming bullets by wall running and jumped off when he reached the corner of the room. When he landed there was a grenade that landed with him that somebody threw. Rio quickly got on all fours and dashed out of there. The grenade exploded and Rio had hoped on top of the bed and dashed past everyone. Cross Wing and War Wolf started to bleed heavily. They knew Rio was fast, but not that fast. Just then Rio's skin started to pulse red repeatedly. Rio knew his time had finally come. Wild Horn tried to warn everyone to get down, but it was too late Rio blasted a mid sized fire ball and it hit General Andal. He stops, dropped, and rolled, and screamed. His feathers were burning off of him. May ran to his side while Rio hoped on top of Tiger Wanghu and clawed him over and over and over. Wild Horn shot Rio in the side and Rio fell to the ground in pain and blasted a giant fireball through the wall. Debri fell and the building they all were in shook badly. War Wolf dashed at Rio while being on the floor and slashed him with his pitch-black sword. Rio used his red and black sword to block the sword when he sliced a second time. Rio did a crazy break dance to get up and lifted himself into the air sideways and kicked War Wolf in the face sending him flying. He crashed into the wall behind Wild Horn. Rio hoped up and jumped about firing off mid sized fireballs and everyone dodged them and fired back, but it was no use, Rio was just too fast. Meanwhile May finished healing General Andal and he got up and knocked her out of the way and tossed a C4 into the middle of the room. Every one saw this and took cover. The whole building exploded and everyone was cover in debri and smoke was everywhere. Rio began to dash in a circle and blasted fire like a flamethrower causing a fire tornado to appear. The heat swirled everywhere and burned everything. Everyone was trapped inside the eye of the storm and was slowly starting to catch fire. Just then Rio shot out of the tornado like a missile and stabbed Wild Horn in the stomach. He spit out blood and fell to his knees. Suddenly, Cross Wing used her sharp beak and tore off Rio's tail. Rio screamed in pain and Tiger Wanghu pulled his axe and sliced Rio's side open. Then Cross Wing sniped Rio in the neck. May finished healing War Wolf and Ran toward Wild Horn. She was almost at her limit. War Wolf ran toward Rio and was about to deal the finishing blow when all of a sudden Rio's skin pulsed red even faster then before and his black stripes began to spread all over him covering him from head to toe in strange markings. All the damage Rio just took vanished and Rio roared as loud as he could which put out the fire tornado and it caused an earthquake. Rio grew back his tail and he also sprouted one small wing and spikes emerged from his left arm and leg. He dashed at lightning speeds past everyone and before they all knew it, they were in the ground in pain in massive puddles of blood. May used the last little bit of Quintessence she had and created a huge bubbled and everything inside the bubble was instantly healed. May held the bubble as long as she could. Rio was on all fours once more zipping all over the battlefield. Everyone knew they were going to have to work together if they wanted to survive. Wild Horn ran at Rio and luckily restrains him before he could avoid it. Everyone attacked him while he was restrained. War Wolf sliced him in the chest and Cross Wing sniped him in the leg while Tiger Wanghu pressed his remote and his jet appeared and shot four missiles at Rio. Wild Horn threw him into the air at the missiles and even got two shots on him. Rio collided with the four missiles and an enormous explosion covered the sky. Winds picked up to 108 M.P.H; May passed out and was sent flying away. Everyone held on for dear life. Rio roared again causing more earthquakes and fell to the ground in so much pain he could no longer move. Everyone rushed over to where he fell and noticed his strange black markings spreading slowly. They almost completely cover him in black, there was hardly any red skin left on him. The huge dark black aura that was around him slowly faded as did the markings. Just like that Rio was back to normal with not a single scratch on him.

"Your mine now Rio...all mine!" War Wolf said and touched Rio's forehead.

Everyone else looked at each other and fell to the ground at the same time. They could not believe how powerful Rio can get. He was only going to keep getting stronger to. It's a good thing they managed to stop him before his markings completely engulfed him. There is no telling what would have happened. They all were out of ammo and breath and energy and all they did for a while is sit there and survey the destruction of the battlefield. BLACKFANG was almost single handedly destroyed by Rio. Everyone was lost for words.
