#1 of The search for Garth
I plan on making a series please give advice or help me improve my story
"2 months later"
"Kate I'm home" Humphery yelled but was greeted with silence. As Humphery searched the empty den that him and Kate had dug he found nothing but where they slept and their scraps from last nights dinner.
As Humphery stood there confused with his head cocked to the side he was tackled." Got Ya" Kate yelled. Humphery chuckled and rubes noses with Kate.
Another presence entered the din. Humphery shot up and let out a loud growl from deep in his throat. It was a white wolf. It was Lily. Lily came in sobbing " I can't find Garth" she said shakily." It's ok calm down" Kate crooned. "Tell us what u remember " Kate said softly." When was the last time u saw him" Humphery asked.
"Well u see we were umm" Lily stuttered." Ew " Kate exclaimed. Humphery just sat there confused until it hit him "oh" Humphery said. " please help me look for him some one took him" Lily cried." Wow someone took him" Humphery asked. Lily shook her head yes and said " there was more than one." Lily motioned for Kate and Humphery to follow her. When they arrived to where Garth was taken Humphery sniffed the air. He walked in to the bushes and found a wolf with his throat torn apart."Ahhhhh" Humphery yelled. Kate ran in and nearly vomited. Lily followed and said"that was one of them." Humphery sniffed the blood soaked wolf." This isn't just his blood but I don't know the other blood " said Humphery. As Kate notices a trail of blood heading into the woods she notices movement. " who's there " Kate growled. A wolf jumps out and pins Kate to the ground. Kate screamed and cried. "your as good as dead" said the wolf. Humphery came about of nowhere and tackled the wolf." No your good as dead" growled Humphery. He latched onto the wolfs throat and pulled. Kate, Lilly, and Humphery heard the dull pop of the wolfs jugular vein. As Humphery pulled the wolfs throat out. Kate sat there dazed and thought to herself "did I just whiteness my mate killing someone." Humphery moved from the body with his muzzle covers in blood. His eyes feel apon Kate's eyes." I'm so sorry you had to see that " Humphery said. He walked to the closest river to wash the blood off of his muzzle. Kate walked up beside him." Humphery it's ok for what you did you where only protecting-" Kate crooned before Humphery cut her off " yes I was protecting you but I didn't have to kill him, but I was just so worried he hurt u so I hurt him the worst I could." Kate licked behind her mates ear and then ruined her nose against his. Her and Humphery returned to Lily and followed the trail of blood into the woods." We should find a place to rest we don't have much light left" Humphery said. Kate called out as she found a place to stay for the night. Humphery curled around Kate's body to warm her. Lily laid away crying. Humphery noticed and called her over. Lily curled beside Humphery and drifted off to sleep. Humphery stayed awake for a little while listening to Kate and Lily's breathing and drifted to sleep.
The search will continue another day.
