The Pokerus outbreak had recently become an epidemic in the world. It was starting to become as common as a cold, affecting many people and Pokemon alike. Unfortunately for humans, it was lethal to them. Fortunately(for some), the virus alters the DNA of the infected human, turning them into Pokemon, thus making it possible to live through the virus. With Pokerus being so contagious, it made it difficult for any test or vaccines to be made. While some have come close, no one has managed to successfully heal Pokerus in a human without them turning into a Pokemon. Most of the world saw this as a horrible epidemic, but not everyone...

There was a handful of a people who saw the outbreak as a blessing in disguise. They had always been interested in what it was like being Pokemon. They were a smart group of people, secluded from the others so their work would never be discovered. Before the outbreak even happened, the group worked on formulas to transform into Pokemon themselves, to no avail. When the virus began to become more and more common, the group's excitement grew. Their dreams could finally be released.

However this was quickly crushed as the town became incredibly cautious. Pokemon became flat out banned from the town. Even if they had gone through Pokerus already, they were forced to be given up to the next town over. There were very strict restrictions involving visiting Pokemon in the town. So much so that often they were left there, separated forever. Of course there were a lot of people for and against it. Many of the opposers to the system moved away to the other town to be with their Pokemon, while the supporters simply were happy that Pokerus wouldn't have a possibility of arriving in their quaint little town. The town was generally populated by the supporters of the system, while only a handful of opposers populated it.

Due to the laws, the group was more secluded then ever before. Rather than continue to try and keep up with the hard research, all they had to do was obtain an infected Pokemon and they would be as good as gold. Of course this would prove to be a challenge, as anyone who entered in or out of the town would be checked for Pokeballs, or even Pokemon. The town was very paranoid, making it almost impossible for a Pokemon to enter. Attempting to bring in a Pokemon, infected or not would lead to banishment from the town, never to be welcomed back.

"Alright Jared, all you have to do is get an infected, and bring it back here, there's no guard, no lookout, and our dreams can be realized!"

"Right." Jared says with a deep breath. "I shall return with an infected!" he says confidentially, climbing over a chain link fence.

"Good luck Jared, we all wish you luck and a return!" the group says as they wave goodbye to Jared, who runs off down the route.

As Jared walks rushes down the route he began to feel excitement enter his body. His dream was about to come true. After years and years of trying, the ability to be a Pokemon was within reach. Jared couldn't help but get a wide smile on his face, quickly taken away as a large green and white Pokemon entered into his path, and Jared ran right into him, falling back to the ground. Jared looked up at the Pokemon, a smile forming onto his face. The Pokemon standing over him was Gallade. Jared got up and dusted himself off.

"It's okay, soon I will become one of you." Jared says with a smile. The Gallade manages to give a nervous smile. "Perhaps we will meet again, but I won't be human!" Jared gives a small laugh. The Gallade watches as Jared begins to walk away. However, only a few yards later, Jared stopped, as he felt his body start to change. The Gallade got into a stance, as if it was sending waves towards Jared's body.

Jared's hands began to alter first, turning a very light green. They became almost leaflike in appearance as his digits fused, turning green. Jared's arms turn the same green, as they became much more slender, resembling gloves. Both of his arms become identical as the green goes into a semi-circle, "connecting" them. Jared's clothes felt strange, like they were fusing to his body. His shirt and pants had morphed and turned into a white dress-like appendage, green on the inner layers of it.

His legs turn a bright white as they become much more slender and very feminine. Jared's toes merged until only three digits remained, turning them into a kind of paw. His hips widened as his rear did underneath his new garment. Jared felt his manhood slowly begin to enter back into him. As it fully retreated into him, it contorted into everything a female pokemon has for reproduction, only an opening left outside. Jared's chest pushed out a bit, turning into small breasts. Jared felt a sharp pain as a red fin-like horn emerges from her chest, coming out of both ends of her body.

The last wave of changes came as her head and the rest of her body turned bright white. Her neck became thinner all around as her head became a bit smaller. Jared's hair turned a lime green color as it felt into her eyes as bangs and curves down at the sides of her head. Spikes form at the side of her face, resembling a mask as her eyes turned red. Lastly, Jared's nose became almost existent as her lips lost color and mouth became smaller. Jared began to pant as her transformation ended.

"Are you okay?" a strong male voice calls over to Jared.

"Y-yeah." Jared says, becoming confused as she heard her voice. "Am I a...woman?" she asks with a nervous smile forming.

"Yeah, I have Pokerus. I was able to use psychic energy to make you have the same evolution tree as me, except you became a more female version." the Gallade says with a small blush.

"Oh..." Jared says getting up slowly, the Gallade helping her to do so.

"Thanks." Jared says looking into the Gallade's eyes, blushing a bit. Something about him made him very attractive for her. "I'm Jar-Jenny. My name is Jenny." she says flustered.

"I'm Gerald." the Gallade responds with a smile. "Sorry about, this. I didn't mean to..." Gerald says looking away embarrassed.

"It's alright, this has always been a dream of mine..." Jenny says blushing.

"R-really?" Gerald says looking back the Jenny. "You're not upset?"

"Quite the opposite." Jenny says smiling, kissing Gerald in a full embrace. Eventually, the two broke off the kiss and held hands as they entered into the nearby forest, to live their lives together. Jared got his wish to be a Pokemon, forgetting about the old group and her original mission. She was overwhelmed by happiness that she completely forgot about them. Jenny lived out the rest of her live as a Gardevoir with the Gallade named Gerald. They would go on to have kids as well, living happy lives together. After the Pokerus virus left came and went through the family, they were welcomed into the next town over, staying with a nice loving family where they spent the rest of their days.
