The Video Game That Transforms You

Tom, a 12 year old skinny Boy with short blond hair with a hedgehog style, was walking threw town, 'I am so board,' he thought to himself, just then he passed a Video game store and stopped in front of it, 'hm... I haven´t bought a game in a long time,' he thought, 'I think it´s time to get myself a new game,' with that he walked into the shop.

Tom walked threw the ales of the store and checked out the games on display, but none of them was interesting enough, after a few minutes though his eyes landed on a game, the name of the game was "The World Where Dreams Come True", the cover showed different kind of figures and one of them stood out, it was a young German shepherd pup. Tom turned the game to read the back: "Do you dream of a world of adventure, a world of peace and a world of fun? Then this game is the right thing for you, but be warned: the game doesn´t come without side effects, so don´t play it for to long, you have been warned".

'This game sounds interesting, I will buy it and try it out tonight, especially because of the anthro puppy,' Tom thought, since he was six he started showing interest in anthropomorphic animals, he loved movies, such as: "Zootopia". 'I wonder what they mean with "side effects",' with that he went to the counter and bought the game, then he hurried home.

When Tom arrived home he headed straight into his room. He turned on his computer, then he unpacked the Game, he put it in the Disc drive of his Laptop and hit the Install button. 'Damn, two hours until the Game has finished installing,' he thought to himself, he decided to surf the Internet until the game had finished installing.

After two hours the game had finished installing and Tom started the game. First he had to choose a character, Tom flipped threw all of the characters until he found the anthropomorphic Pup, he selected the Pup and hit on "continue". The screen changed to the Clothes and Name section, Tom chose a black Jeans, a black T-Shirt and a black Leather Cloak that reached down to the Pups ankles, for the Name Tom chose "Lightning", then he pressed on "continue". The next settings were hair colour and style, 'hm... I think I will give him my hair colour and style,' Tom thought and that is what he did, then came the "weapon´s" screen and Tom picked two Sai and a Samurai sword, when he finished he took a minute to check out his character. "He looks so damn cool," Tom said to himself, "now without further delay, let´s start playing," he said and pressed the "start" Button.

Tom found himself in a Forest, on the left side of the Screen he saw a small Map, he noticed that there was a Village nearby, so he decided to go to the Village and have a look around, "maybe there are some Tasks I can do," Tom said to himself, so he walked "Lightning" threw the Forest and towards the Village.

"Lightning" arrived in the Village, he looked around and spotted a group of Kids playing, so he decided to go and talk to them. The Boys heard footsteps coming towards them, they looked up to see the anthro German shepherd walking towards them, the Boys got a scared look on their faces and on the bottom of the screen bars appeared for Tom to chose what he wanted to do: "Talk", "Play", ...

Tom chose "Talk", and new bars appeared, this time Tom had to chose a starting sentence, he choice the Following:

"Hello, my Name is Lightning. I am new here, do you know where there is a place where I can get missions or such things," he asked.

A boy with short blond hair stepped forward, "my name is Abaddon, sorry for us being a bit scared, you are the first anthropomorphic animal we see. Normally your kind aren´t so friendly, they attack us humans and we don´t know why," the Boy said.

"I am sorry to hear that," Lightning said, "I am different, I just want to do some missions and earn money. By the way, it is nice to meet you Abaddon," he added and held out a paw and the Boy grabbed it.

"The pleasure is all mine," he said with a smile, the other Boys started to relax as they saw Abaddon talking with Lightning in a friendly tone and they all came closer to great Lightning.

"So you want to do some missions," Abaddon asked and Lightning nodded. "Well I might have a mission for you," he said.

Again Bars appeared, Lightning chose "Tell me more":

"Let me hear it Abaddon," he said.

"Okay, I was in the forest yesterday, I was making some arrows for my bow as a group of your kind started aproaching, they had red eyes and foam at their mouths," Abaddon started, "I got scared and dropped everything, even my knife, I am to scared to go back there and look for it, so I would like you to find my knife. As a reward I will give you ten gold Nuggets and twenty silver Coins, because the knife belonged to my dead Granddad, so it means a lot to me. Do you accept," he asked.

After Abaddon explained the Mission two bars appeared "Accept" and "Decline". 'That would really be a great Mission to start with, it is not difficult and the reward is great,' Tom thought to himself, so he clicked on the "Accept" bar. "I accept Abaddon," Lightning said.

Abaddon beamed, "great, here is my address come there when you have found the knife," he said and handed Lightning a peace of paper, a message appeared that said: "Received: Abaddon´s Address".

Then they all said goodbye and Lighting headed out of the Village and towards the Forest to find the knife.

In the real World something was happening to Tom, his ears looked more pointy than normal human ears and his tail-bone started to lengthen, but Tom didn´t notice this and continued to play the Game.

Back in the Game Lightning arrived at the Forest and entered it, 'okay, let´s search for Abaddon´s knife,' Tom thought to himself. Tom walked Lightning threw the forest, his head on the ground looking for the knife, soon he was so deep in the forest that it started to get dark, then he spotted the knife, it was laying on the forest ground. Lightning picked it up and a Message opened: "Found and received: Abaddon´s knife".

Lightning turned to head back to the village to give Abaddon his knife, he took a few steps, then suddenly he heard a twig brake and a snarl behind him, so Lightning turned around to see a grown anthropomorphic Husky with red eyes and foam at his mouth, 'oh fuck,' Tom thought. Two bars appeared "Fight" and "Flee", Tom checked his strength and compared it to the Husky´s strength, he gulped as he saw the huge difference, 'I think it would be best to flee, he is to strong for Lightning, for the moment anyways,' Tom thought, he clicked on the flee bar, a second Message appeared that told him to press the Shift button on his keyboard to become invisible. Tom pressed the Button and he saw Lightning´s paws become transparent, the Husky growled and looked around, Tom carefully and slowly moved Lightning threw the Forest, avoiding Twigs, Leaves and other things that could give him away. It took a while until Lighting emerged from the Forest. Tom took a deep Breath, he was holding his Breath all the Time, he walked Lightning to the Village and made him visible again. 'That´s that, now to find Abaddon,' Tom thought, he checked his Information-Box and selected Abaddon´s Address, on his small map a blue dot appeared and he headed in the Direction.

In the real World, Tom´s Tail was by now fully grown and his new ears were on top of his head, 'this Game is so awesome,' Tom was thinking, his Tail wagging happily behind him, showing the happiness. Tom did not realize that his hearing and sense of smell had tripled, he could hear his Mother in the Living-room watching TV and he could smell the food on the Stove in the Kitchen. His Tail and Ears were still Hairless, Tom then noticed an itching all over his body, but he just ignored it as he continued to play the Game, also his Face was starting to push out into a Muzzle, his tongue got longer, rougher and wider, also his canines and other teeth in his turning Maw were starting to grow sharp and pointy, good for tearing up meat. Tom did not notice any of this.

Back in the Game Lightning arrived at the Address, he knocked on the door and Abaddon opened it, "ah Lightning, great to see you back so fast, please come in," the Boy said, so Lightning entered the House and Abaddon closed the Door behind him. "So did you find my Knife," Abaddon asked.

"I did, here it is," Lightning said and handed the Boy his Knife.

Abaddon examined the Knife, then he smiled, "yep, that´s my Knife, thanks," he said.

"No Problem I was happy to help," Lightning said, then he waited for Abaddon to hand him his Reward. Abaddon looked up from his Knife and saw Lightning looking at him, it took a Minute for Abaddon to realize.

"Oh sure, here you go," Abaddon said and handed Lightning the promised Reward, Lightning took the Gold and Money, then he looked at Abaddon again.

"What is it Lightning," the Boy asked.

"Well, your Name," Lightning started.

"What about it," Abaddon asked.

"Well... um," Lightning said uneasily, "isn´t that the Name of the falen Angel of Death," he asked. Abaddon looked surprised at the anthropomorphic Pup.

"It is, how do you know that," Abaddon asked.

"I am interested in stuff like that," Lightning said.

"I see, well I am not the Angel of death," Abaddon said with a smile, then there was a long silence, "hey would you like to be Friends," the Boy asked suddenly.

"Sure I´d love that," Lightning said, his Tail wagging.

In the real World Tom´s Tail was also wagging happily, without the Boy noticing, his face had completely transformed into a Muzzle and he didn´t notice this. The fur was already a nice thick and shiny coat, next to transform were his hands and feet. His feet stayed the same, the only Thing that changed was that his Toenails became long and pointy Claws that ripped his socks, he also became leather Paddings under his feet, his hands also became Paddings and his nails became long and pointy like his Toenails. Tom again didn´t notice this happening, by now there was nothing left that resembled a Human Boy.

Back in the Game, Abaddon sent Lightning a friends request and the Pup confirmed it. "What I wanted to ask," Lightning said, Abaddon looked at him, "are you a real Person or are you a Part of the Game," the Pup asked.

'This is so weird, suddenly the Game shows questions I am thinking of in reality,' Tom was thinking to himself.

"I am a real Person," Abaddon said, "okay, to be honest I was a real Person, I still am, but... it is hard to explain," he said.

"What do you mean," Lightning asked.

"Promise not to freak and cancel the Friendship between us," Abaddon replied.

"I promise," Lightning said.

"Well, I bought this game, I ignored the Warning on the back, I just thought what bad could happen," Abaddon started, "like you I created this young Character and started to play the Game, I couldn´t stop playing it. In real life I am... I mean I WAS a 40 year old man," he said and paused to let the first Information sink in.

"What do you mean with 'I was'," Lightning asked.

"Well, you see the longer you play this Game you slowly transform into your Character," Abaddon said.

Lightnings eyes widened in surprise, "you mean, that you are now the young Boy I see in front of me also in real Life," he asked, Abaddon just nodded. "So you are telling me that I am transforming into Lightning," he asked and again Abaddon nodded, "hang on I got to check this, to see if you are telling the truth, I´ll be right back," Lightning said.

Tom got up from his Computer and hurried over to his Mirror and looked at his Reflection. Tom´s Jaw dropped when he saw "Lightning" staring back at him, Lightning´s Maw hanging open in surprise, but soon the first shock had subsided and the young Pup started to smile, "this is so cool," Tom said, he fellt something behind him moving and he saw a Tail wagging happily in the Mirror and the smile became a grin showing Tom his new white and sharp teeth. Tom hurried back to the Computer, "you weren´t bullshitting me," he said as soon he unpaused the Game.

"Why should I do that," Abaddon asked, "and why do you sound so happy about it," he added.

"Well, I always have been interested in anthropomorphic Animals, I also wished I was a anthropomorphic Pup in real Life," Lightning said with a shrug, "the only Thing that bothers me is, how will my Family and Friends react when they see me," he asked.

"Well, they´ll be freaked out at first but that will settle fast," Abaddon said.

"Okay, good," Lightning said with a smile, "what was your reaction, when you noticed that you had transformed into Abaddon," he asked.

"I was shocked and surprised, it took a while till I got used to it. I was a 40 year old Man and then suddenly I am a 10 year old Boy and not only that, I am my Character and I look so cool," Abaddon said with a smile.

"Hell yeah, I like your style, you look real Gangster," Lightning said with a grin.

"Hehe, well thank you, you don´t look so bad yourself," Abaddon said grinning back.

Both of them just stood there for a while, smiling at each other. "Where do you live," Abaddon suddenly asked.

"Why do you want to know that," Lightning asked.

"I think you are cool and I´d like to hang out with you, that is if I am allowed," Abaddon said and looked hopefully at Lightning.

'Hm... he might have been a 40 year old Man, but he got transformed into the young Boy I see in front of me, I bet it isn´t easy for him,' Tom thought to himself, 'he lost his Job and Friends, so I should become his friend, first he isn´t 40 anymore, he is just a normal Kid and he seems to be a awesome Guy'.

Lightning looked at the boy, who was still looking hopefully at him, "tell me Abaddon, do you still have all of your Friends," he asked.

Abaddon hung his head, "no, they rejected me, they said that they don´t want to hang out with a Kid, even if my Soul is 40 years old, it was just to awkward for them. The only people who were excited were my Parents, but they are both almost 70 years old and I am only a 10 year old boy," Abaddon said and Lightning saw tears starting to run down the Boy´s face, "I don´t know how long I will have them," he said and started to cry.

Lightning walked over to the Boy and layed a pawed Hand on Abaddon´s should, the Boy looked up. "Abaddon I am so sorry, listen of course I will also be you Friend in real Life, I live in London UK," the Pup said.

'This is so weird, it is like I am really there with him,' Tom thought to himself, 'for some reason the Game somehow converts the thoughts and actions I have in real into the Game'.

"Me too, please can we meet up," Abaddon asked, "I need someone to talk to," he added.

Lightning smiled, "sure, I shall write you a private Message with my Address," he said, so Tom sent his Address to Abaddon.

"Th-thanks Lightning," the Boy sniffled, "by the way: what is your real Name, I can´t call you "Lightning" when your Parents answer the door," he added.

"My real Name is Tom, but you may call me Lightning as a Nickname," Lightning said, "what about you," he asked.

"My real Name was Damian, but I go by "Abaddon" now," Abaddon said.

"Okay I shall call you Abaddon," Lightning said with a smile.

Abaddon smiled back, "hey, could I come over now, please," he asked.

"Sure," the Pup said.

"Yaaaay, okay I´ll be there in an Hour," the Boy said.

"Okay, see you in an Hour," Lightning said and with a final happy smile Abaddon vanished.

Tom exited the Game and lent back into his Chair with a sigh, "what a day," he said to himself and he waited for Abaddon to arrive.

A hour later Tom heard the door bell ring, 'that must be Abaddon,' he thought to himself, sure enough Tom´s mum called that a boy called "Abaddon" was there to see him. "Send him up mum," Tom called back and he heard footsteps coming up the Stairs, followed shortly after by a knocking on his door, "come in," he said, the Door opened and Abaddon entered the Room.

Tom looked up and smiled as he saw Abaddon, he got up from his chair, his tail wagging behind him, "welcome Abaddon," he said. Abaddon run over to Tom and hugged him, "woah," Tom said, then he felt his fur getting wet, he looked down at the boy and saw that Abaddon was crying, "wh-what is the matter Abaddon," he asked.

Abaddon looks up at the German shepherd pup, "s-sorry, you are the first friend I have found," the boy sniffles, "since I am a kid again my life has been hell," he adds.

Tom walked Abaddon to his bed and they both sat on it, "how come," he asked.

Abaddon wiped away his tears, "don´t get me wrong," he said, "I like being a child again, but it isn´t easy. I have no job, I have no friends except you and my parents could be my grandparents," he said.

There was a long silence as Tom thought about how he could help Abaddon, 'I feel bad for him, he is such a cool guy,' he thought, 'm-maybe we could adopt him, I always wanted a younger brother'. At the same time, Tom´s mother was on her way to her son´s room to call him and Abaddon to dinner, as she reached the door she heard voices, so she stopped and listened.

"Since I have been transformed into this little boy, I feel so lonely," Abaddon was saying.

"Abaddon, you might have it hard, but you are still human," Tom said, "but look at me, I am a German shepherd pup, I don´t know how my parents will react," he said, then he looked Abaddon in the eyes. When his mother heard Tom saying that he was now a anthropomorphic pup she opened the door carefully and gasped as she saw the pup sitting on her sons bed.

'What the hell has happened to my son,' the mother asked herself, 'he... he really is a anthropomorphic German sheperd and Abaddon has been transformed into a young boy, how is this possible,' she thought.

"What is it Lightning," Abaddon asked.

Tom took a deep breath, "well, you say your parents could be your grandparents," he said, Abaddon nodded.

"Yeah, so," he asked.

"Um... well... I was wondering i-if you want to become my brother," Tom said awkwardly.

Abaddon´s eyes widened, "y-you mean... adopting me," he asked, Tom nodded. "I-I´d like that, then I would have a family who´ll be there for me, but I don´t know, it is not you who dicides it, it is our parents," the young boy said.

"Y-yeah you are right," Tom said and both of them let out sad sighs.

'Poor boy, what I don´t understand though is why he says that his parents could be his grandparents,' the mother thought to herself, 'and why the hell is my son suddenly a humanoid dog, I think to get answers is to talk with both boy,' so she opened the door and stepped into Tom´s room, "Tom, we need to talk," she said, causing both boys to jump.

Tom and Abaddon looked up shocked, "m-mum, how long have you been listening," Tom asked.

"Long enough," his mother said, she walked over to Tom´s desk and sat on his chair, "tell me everything, start at the beginning," she said and so Abaddon and Tom started telling her what has happened. After the boys had finished Tom´s mum was sitting thoughtfully on Tom´s chair, she was looking at Abaddon, "so you say that you were a 40 year old man and that this game," she held up the box of the game, "transformed you into the ten year old you are now," she said, Abaddon nodded, "and the same game transformed my Son into the humanoid pup, Tom nodded, "well I be damned," Tom´s mum said.

Tom raised an eyebrow and tilted his head to the side, "you don´t sound freaked out by the new mum," he said. His mother looked at him, first she giggled, then it turned into chuckle and then she burst out in laughter, clutching her stomach, "what is so funny," Tom asked.

"S-sorry hun," his mother said, "but you just look so adorable," she said grinning.

Tom blushed under his fur, "oh, shut up," he said and pouted which made his mother burst out into laughter again, even Abaddon started snickering, but with a scowl of Tom he stopped but kept on grinning.

"Why should I be freaked out," his mother asked, after she had calmed down.

"Well, I am not a normal boy anymore," Tom said, "what will the school and my friends say when they see me like this," he asked.

His mother walked up to him, she took her sons pawed hands into her human hands and looked him into his puppy eyes, "Tom, you will always be my son, no matter what you look like," she said with a smile, "and don´t worry about your friends and school, you look so cool and cute that everyone would want to be your friends," she said.

Tom looked up at his mother, "you really believe that," he asked.

"Of course, hell girls will not keep their hands off of you, they will pat you non-stop," his mother said and grinned as she saw Tom blush. "Anyway, now to Abaddon," she said and turned to the young boy, "i will talk with your parents, give me your phone number and I´ll call them," she said, "oh and you may stay here for the night," she added.

Abaddon handed Tom´s mum his number, "thanks," he said, "um, will it be okay if...," he started.

"...if you sleep with Tom," the mother ended and Abaddon nodded, "sure, you aren´t a 40 year old man anymore, you are just a normal ten year old kid," she said with a kind smile, both boys smiled back. "That settled, time for supper," and so all three headed down to the dining room.

After supper the boys watched some cartoons and Tom´s mother called Abaddon´s parents. After a while Tom´s mother came into the living room to tell the boys what Abaddon´s parents had said.

"Abaddon, I have news for you," she said as she sat down next to the young boy who used to be a grown man. Abaddon looked up at the woman with hope in his eyes, "your parents did not hesitate, they said: we always wanted to be granparents," she said and smiled.

Abaddon´s eyes widened and tears start to form, "you... you mean," he started, the mother nodded.

"Yes Abaddon, from this moment on you are my son and Tom´s brother," she said, "we only have to do some paperwork to make it official, but that won´t be a problem, I have some connections to the government," she added. The young boy looked at Tom who gave him a kind doggy grin, then back at his new mother, he couldn´t keep his tears back, as the tears run down his face the only thing he could do was to hug his mother and brother and both of them hugged him back.

"Welcome to our family and your new life, brother," Tom said, wiping the tears from his brother´s face and smiling at him, "I told you that it would work out," he added.

Abaddon gave his pup-brother a boyish grin, "I will never doubt you again, brother," he said and from that day on Abaddon was the happiest boy in the universe.

And Tom? How did it go for the once human boy, now a anthro pup? Well, his friends and school got used to the pup very fast and soon everyone in town accepted the changed boy. So as you say: alls well, ends well.
