A few weeks later (from the end of Chapter 4)

Paul looked at his sketch that he was working on; he was sitting on the rock at the edge of the camp silently drawing in his black little sketch book with a small pencil case beside him he was also thinking how he could give this as a present to Eve we have grown closer and closer to each other over the last few weeks and I am going to tell her my TRUE feeling for her! When I give her this drawing that I made, I will tell her.

He had just finished the dragon that was in the centre of the sketch who looked remarkably like Eve, and he was starting to put in the background of the sketch that was the going to be the secluded glade when it was finished when he heard Eve trying to stealthily creep up to the rock to try to scare Paul without being noticed.

Ever since I taught her how to move stealthily and not be seen or heard, she had been practice on me!! Thought Paul to himself, as Eve slowly got closer and closer towards the rock that Paul was sitting on,

Well two can play that game, cheeky dragon! Thought Paul as he acted not to notice Eve until the last second when he dropped down and crouched behind the rock that he was only there moments ago, but unknown to Eve was this fact due to the undergrowth was quite thick around the edges of the camp.

Where is he? Thought Eve as she slowly continued her slow crawl towards the rock, when she got to the rock she noticed that Paul was nowhere to be seen and had suddenly disappeared until...

"BOO!" Paul exclaimed as he jumped up from behind the rock, Eve roared in surprise but quickly recovered from the fright, growling she jumped and launched herself at Paul who got hit in the chest and went down on the ground sending the sketch book and pencil case flying.

Still growling Eve proceeded in rolling on the ground with Paul wrestling and trying to pin him to the ground. She did for a few seconds though...... that was until Paul had gotten over the shock of being crash-tackled to the ground by Eve and quickly had Eve pinned to the ground.

Eve started to squirm and try to throw Paul off her until she gave up and submitted defeat, Paul's chest was heaving but his face looked VERY angry and pissed off and Eve instantly thought that she had gone too far until Paul smiled and rolled off her and started to laugh.

"You are a cheeky dragon, Eve trying to practice the things on the person who taught you!!" exclaimed Paul as his laughing died down into a chuckle. Eve growled in response and playfully jumped on Paul again, landing on his chest, she looked into his eyes

"I have something to tell you Paul" said Eve

"O.k. then what is it?" replied Paul interested in what Eve had to say to him

"Thank you for being my one and only friend that I had ever known and had, thank you Paul" Eve murmured as she pulled Paul into a friendly hug which Paul returned, Eve rolled off Paul and they just enjoyed each other's company for a while.

"We need to get back to the Temple today," Said Paul suddenly as he slowly rose from the Ground.

"Well let's get going then shall we?" exclaimed Eve as heaved herself off the ground

Several Hours later

"I can see the temple Paul." remarked Eve as they cleared the mushroom forest.

They hiked towards the temple and soon they were at the entrance, there was no one there to greet them so they just entered anyway, the first one to see them was Spyro who was in the dojo, busily destroying wooden targets that randomly appeared and started to attack him

Paul and Eve then went to his room to drop off his bag and unpack his gear that he brought with him on the trip, after he finished unpacking and putting everything away he took out his sketch book and put it on top of his drawing table and sat down to work on the un-finished sketch of Eve. But before he could work on it he remembered that he needed to see the guardians so he got up and left with Eve, vowing as he left to finish the Sketch as soon as he got a free moment.

Ignitus and the other guardians were eager to hear about the enemy movements that Paul and Eve recorded and not that much else. Paul and did not care though because all they wanted was to get back to his room and relax after a hard trip but before Paul could do that Ignitus called him over.

"Paul, the guardians and I have agreed that I will take you to the Chronicler, We will leave early tomorrow." Said Ignitus just out of earshot of Eve who was waiting in the corridor

With that Ignitus left Paul wondering who or what was this Chronicler and why was he going to see this chronicler early the next day. Shaking his head in wonder they walked off down a dim corridor towards his room with Eve racing off ahead of him. Paul found her in his room looking at the many sketches that were dotted all over the room, when Paul entered Eve did not stop gazing at the drawings on the wall.

"These drawings are really good Paul" said Eve looking away from the Drawings on the wall ~

"Thanks I am glad you like them" replied Paul

Eve looked around the room then spotted Paul's drawing desk in a corner of the room and walked over to it, the desk was covered in pieces of paper, pens, pencils and erasers there was also Paul's black sketch book lying open to the unfinished drawing of Eve that Paul was working on.

"Hey, Paul why is there a drawing of me in here?" asked Eve picking up the Sketch book and showing Paul the unfinished drawing.

"Oh, that was meant to be a surprise that I was going to give you when it was completed but now I guess it can't be a surprise now because you have seen it." Replied Paul

He was going to give it to me as a surprise, well it is time to show him how I fell about him Thought Eve, who put the sketch book back onto the desk and ran out to the balcony; Paul shocked by Eve's reaction followed her out to the balcony.

"Surprise or no surprise I was going to give it to you anyway" said Paul

Eve turned around to face Paul, and then she did something that took Paul by utter and complete Surprise... Eve calmly walked up to Paul and silently kissed him on the mouth, it was only a quick kiss but after the kiss Eve confessed,

"Paul... I love you, ever since you told me about your past and you carried me back to the campsite after the ambush, I saw you in a different way I saw the friendly and kind Paul that was hidden from view and I know The way that you look at me when I am in trouble, scared or just need someone to talk too as well, no one else would ever look at me like that except for you." Confessed Eve

Paul was taken aback by Eve's feelings for him and he knew it was time to tell Eve about HIS feeling for her,

"Eve... I have something to tell you, the truth is I love you too, I think you are really cute and beautiful..." Paul trailed off embarrassed that he told her of his feelings about her.

Eve was just taken aback by this as Paul was when she told him of her feelings, she did not know what to say and she just let her emotions get the better of her and she started to cry.

"Why are you crying Eve?" Paul asked worried that he went too far in telling his feelings to her as he put a comforting arm around her.

"Tears of happiness, tears of happiness" Eve said as she turned to look at Paul, she saw his eyes that were full of concern and worry and she closed her eyes and leaned in towards him.

Paul caught on quickly and closed his eyes and leaned towards Eve, their lips touched and they kissed, Paul felt something poke his lips and he opened his mouth only slightly and Eve's forked tongue entered his mouth and started to embrace his, soon Paul's lungs were aching for air and he broke the kiss and opened his eyes, Eve was looking lovingly at him and he realized he had finally found something that he really cared for and about in this world.

He had found Eve... the dragon that he loved.
