First off I don't own any Digimon char series, however I do own Al and Sarah in this story. I apologize first if there are mistakes in grammars and spellings since my english was average. Finally I got the name for his mother. BTW enjoy the story.

Chapter 11: First Day of Event Part - 2

Everyone went in to silent mode after Takato announce their intention. Al on the other hand surprise and shock from what he have heard. Giving another minute or two for Al to digest Takato's request then he spoke, "You're kidding, right? I mean, last time I check I didn't have any hearing problem. Did you just say ‘invite me into the team'?"

"Yes, I just told you that a minute ago," said Takato acknowledging his reaction at first. "And believe us. We are not joking around."

Silent occured again in the living room then after ten long minutes, Al spoke again. "In the name of God..." then he fell down completely passed out.

"Gosh Takato, you killed him right on the spot." Said Yolei tried to hold her laughter.

"I didn't kill him! He just passed out." Said Takato tried to pick an argument with Yolei.

"Since he knew about us, there is no surprise about this," said Kari with a complement sigh. "Put him on the couch, Takato. We will wait for him to recover."

Another half hour later, Al's mother finally awake and went out from her room. "Ouch... my head still hurt. Guess I still have the hangover from last night."

Then she walked to the dining room and saw there are guests at the living room. "Hello, Can I help you with something, ladies and gentleman?"

"Ah... yes," said Kari tried to be polite to the other owner. "I guess you are Alphonse's mother then?"

"Yes, I am his mother," replied her still holding her head. "Sorry I had a little headache. My name is Sarah. Sarah Revenant. It's nice to meet you all." She introduced herself and bowing her head a little.

Sarah Revenant is a 45 year old business woman working at certain company at weekdays. While at the Saturday night she worked at a bar as a waitress and accompanies the guests. Even though she is old and yet her face didn't show any wrinkles as if she is still around 30.

"It is nice to meet you too, Misses Revenant," said Kari. "My name is Kari Kamiya. I'm one of Alphonse's teachers. And they are my friends. Takato Matsuki, Yolei Inoue, Suzie Wong, and Rika."

"So you are my son's teacher," she asked calmly. "Wait a moment while I call him over so we can talk about school."

"Oh... about that," Kari's interrupted before Sarah went off toward Al's room. "There's no need for you to call him misses Revenant, because he is here passed out."

Sarah turned around and looked at the crowd and saw that Al is lying at the couch out cold. Sarah's eyes were widen in surprise and rush toward the couch where his son is worrying. She tried to wake him by calling his name, shaking his body. But her action was halt when a strong hand reaches her right shoulder.

"It's alright, Misses Revenant," said Takato trying to relieve her. "He just out cold because he can't take all the excitement from him."

"Ho... And I thought he passed out because of his school problem."

"Actually we came to talk with him, making new acquaintance with him. That's all." Said Kari tried to give an excuse for her coming since she is a teacher. "Also we've got a special gift for him."

"I see. I'm sorry because I didn't know the problem from the start."

"That's all right. After all he is not in trouble from the start; in fact he has great marks on his quizzes and test last time I checked. Although he always been bullied by his seniors from time to time. But rests assure that I will keep an eye on him."

"I can't thank you enough for taking care of my son. Ever since his father died, he has less friends and worst he won't socialize with other people."

"Ever since...?" asked Yolei with a serious yet curious tone. "What happened to him in the past?"

Flash Back

It happened when he was 11 years old. The day after his birthday we all went out walking together to celebrate his birthday by eating together at his favorite restaurant like a family should. When we were half way to the restaurant and crossing the street, a car suddenly appeared out of nowhere and headed straight toward us. My husband heard a wheel screech and push me and Alphonse away. We got minor injuries, but he got internal bleeding and died when he was rushed to the hospital. At the funeral, Alphonse knew several of his father's acquaintance, since my husband sometimes brought him to his office. During the ceremonial all they talking about are themselves and didn't show any respect to my husband, even my husband's business partner talking about finding another newbie as their slave job and scape goat as well. They didn't care anything except for themselves and that is why my son didn't trust anyone anymore.

End Flash Back

After listening Sarah's story about Al's tragedy, everyone felt bad. One or two of them even shed a tears and sobbing after hearing his wounded past.

"Wow," said Takato with amazement and sad tone. "I never thought that his past were complete tragedy."

"Being used by others, after he trusted them as friends, nobody has ever imagined that could happen to him." said Yolei.

"But in the end, it happened to someone like me," said Al finally awoke. "Jeez, mom. You and your big mouth." He woke up and sat at the couch where he was resting.

His mother, Sarah, tried to talk with him but she was interrupted in the middle speech, "Al, dear. You finally awake. I was trying..."

"Zip it, mom," said Al's interruption. "I can't even trust you with my past anymore. That's the reason why I become a silent type about myself and the more reason I hate humans."

Sarah started to cry after hearing what Al have got to say. "I'm sorry, dear. I just wish that they should know about you since they want to become your friends."

"I thank you all that you would like to be my friends," said Al with a bit angry and grateful for everything. "But my past is my problems, and I don't want anyone to know about it."

After Al spoke his final sentences, all of them become silent in grief for a while. "Look, Alphonse..." said Suzie in sympathy. "We're very sorry for what happened to your life. And we can understand your feeling because someone felt the same way before."

Al's eyes were wider a bit then looked at Suzie. ‘Someone felt the same way before? Was it one of them or the Digimons?' "Thank you for your concern, Suzie and everyone. I just don't want anyone to know about my past, even myself." said Al and then lower his head with regret and shame. "Well, I know a quiet place for us to discuss something." Thus all the guests left the house with him leaving only his mother still feeling sad in the house.

For about one and a half hour, Al and the guests walk away from the house and headed to the park. The guests were curious with Al's decision. "Why do you choose the park as a quiet place?" Yolei asked representing others.

Without looking at Yolei, Al replied calmly, "I live here and I know that the park is he only deserted place in this district. So you guys can talk freely from that device."

"Hmm... Good point," Rika said in conclusion after thinking and judging about Al's action. "We can talk freely on the open space, not many people will notice of about the extra voices."

Al shrugs his head slowly then turns to the guests, "Well part of it was true, the other reasons why I choose the park were because I know its cramp inside that thing and probably you guys want something to drink from the vending machine, plus so many places for all of us to hide and start a proper introduction."

"So that means we can come out? How sweet of you," said Impmon sarcastically from inside the D â€" Server.

"It's the least I can do to all of you since I know about Digimon," Al response with a warm smile. "Well we finally here, at the center of the park. You can send the Digimons out, and you can come out as well, Renamon." All the digimons were out of the D â€" Server stretching after hours inside the D â€" Server, then enjoying the small chat until Al got the bottom of the small talk.

"Let me get this straight, you guys want me to join the team just because there are no tamers in this area?" and everyone nodded by Al's statement. "Well all I could say is that reason was absurd, in the first place."

"We know that as well," replied Rika since she just met Gennai first time. "But for those who know him longer than me; said that he had a bigger plan for the future, especially you Alphonse."

"Future huh...?" Al then looked at the sky for a moment thinking what kind of future he have if he joined the team. "I don't know about this. My life is completely disorder right now, and all of you asked me to join the team where Digimon and human fought side by side to protect the world. It's true that I'm very happy to hear that offer for me, but of all the people in this city why choose me?"

"Rena told me her story when she met you, Al." Al looked at the owner of the soar voice and it was Guilmon. "After she entered your house, your actions were almost similar to my friend over there." He pointed at Takato, his tamer.

"Furthermore, you treated her like a guest," Al's vision moved to the owner of that voice and it was Hawkmon. Hawkmon then bowed down and continue, "And like a gentleman as well."

Al waved his left hand in embarrassment, "It's natural that I have to treat her nice since she is a guest and a female. Especially when all of you were heroes and that is why I passed out when you asked me to join."

"Speaking of hero, how did you knew about us anyway?" asked Yolei while hugging Hawkmon that sitting in her lap.

"First off, I know the name of each Digimon from a trading card. Then I knew about previous incident about Digimon involvement from the news. If you asked how I knew you all because some chatter always bragging that he or she knew one of them. I pay no mind at first until I saw Gatomon and Ms. Kamiya together." Al looked at the fountain and started to play back the events that happened to him recently. "It's true that I was shocked when I saw Gatomon because I think of her as a monster, but after looking at her closely I realize that she is a Digimon."

"Well it is natural for a human to see us that way since they didn't know us before," said Lopmon with a gentle voice in Suzie's arm.

"I guess you are right about that." Al shrugs his head again and looked at the Digi Destinies. He shows a sad and discomfort looked at them and said, "Although I'm curious about one thing, do you guys think I'm the right one? I mean look at all of you; as a Digi Destiny, one must have a Digimon partner with you and I don't have one."

Takato lowered his head tried to accept the fact that he didn't have one unless, "About that, you already had one." All Al did is expressing his confusion to Takato. Takato pulled out a similar device from his pocket. This time it was white with a black lining. Al was about to asked but Takato explain what it is, "This device is called D â€" Server or Digivice in the old days. This device tells us that we are official tamers and we always kept it hidden from everyone. Since the game appears we kept it freely without any suspicion and people think we played the game as well. Just to make the suspicion lesser, ours were made almost identical to this one. Ours contain headset, lens, and space for our partner remains hidden inside the device; while yours contain only card reader. I also took a liberty to paint it in hopes that you would like it. And the reason I told you that you had one because you are that Digimon."

"I'm lost out here."

"Our founder, Gennai, have high hopes on new miracles from a Digimon with a human heart and you becomes one of them. Furthermore you made a promise that you won't tell anyone about us, and you kept it. That is why we choose you to become one of us."

"I understand now, but what about my family? Must I keep hidden from them as well?"

"Without any exceptions, although they will found out eventually. Trust me on this one."

Al let a long sigh couple of times trying to think hard of his decision. ‘Well this is uncalled for. Coming out of the blue, asking me to join the Destinies, fight side by side with them. What a weird day.' "Tell me what I must do first?" is all Al asked as he agreed to join the team.

The Destinies were relief after hearing Al's decision, "You don't have to do anything because you already become one of us after you accept the offer." Takato replied with a smile on his face. "By the way, this is yours from the start. Kari took it when you ran off yesterday."

"I didn't notice that I drop it, thank you mister and misses." Al wants to finish the sentences but he was cut off by Takato, "Please called us by names when we are alone like this. After all we are partners."

"Thank you, Takato, Yolei, Rika, Suzie, Kari." Then Al bowed down feeling a lot grateful for letting him join the team full of famous heroes with their partners.

"Welcome to the team, Al." Suzie greets me with a childish act, while Yolei and Rika greet him with a smile. Kari and the Digimons greet Al by shaking their hand, and all Al could reply was, "It is a pleasure to be working with all of you."

When all greets and shakes are over, everyone was ready to get back to Al's home. All the Digimons were called in except one and that was Impmon. Impmon walks closer to Al and with a bit of embarrass he said, "Umm... Kid. About yesterday." He then shrug his head and avoiding eye contact or to be precise avoiding seeing himself blushing. "Thanks for the help, without you I might not be able to live another day."

Al responded him with a smile then tap Impmon's shoulder, "Don't worry about it, I was acted in pure instinct to protect back then. Now it's time to hide because we are going back to my house."
