It was morning in pony ville, every pony was going to there jobs or going to school, but then at nine in the morning every pony fathered and waited for pinkie pie's cannon.

Everyday she would fire it each time to say how many ponies birthdays it was, she smiled as she loaded into it confetti, colourful streamers, and of course bits of paper saying happy birthday.

It was now 9 and they waited then with one light of a match BOOOOOOM! Went the cannon.

Every pony cheered and watched as the confetti fell, they all smiled and cheered, they then went off but only one pony stayed, a new pony, which pinkie pie spotted.

"Gasp! You're a new pony, I've not seen you here before, I know every pony in this place, welcome to pony ville how can pinkie pie help you?"

She said smiling at the pony, the pony was a white pony with brown mane and hair, his cutiemark was strange as it was in a different speak to the pony's,

"I'm very interested in that item you just fired, I'm from Japan and I want to make something that will make our party's more fun"

He said smiling, more like an evil grin.

"Oh boy that sound super, hmm I can't really give you my party cannon, otherwise how will I tell ponies that its there birthday? But I can give you the blue prints of how I made it"

Pinkie pie said bouncing around the pony,

"Oh that would be wonderful miss pie"

He said following the pink pony to sugar cube corner,

As pinkie pie went up the stairs the Japan pony looked at the food, it was all colourful and looked cooked, he smiled as the two ponies serving ponies gave him a free sample.

He munched it and liked the sweet taste, it was like the food was dancing on his taste buds, he had only Japan pony money but misses cake gave him a bag as he was a visitor so that means he gets one free bag.

Pinkie pie then handed the pony the blue prints to the cannon to the Japan pony.

"I hope these are helpful and I hope you have many happy parties!"

She smiled and waved the pony on his way.

The pony studied the cannon, seeing it had a fuse, he wondered how he could make it smaller.

As the plane landed he took it right to the Japan HQ of defence.

Most unicorn ponies in Japan sadly don't have very powerful magic they are more a peace loving country, but some ponies had invaded and taken there best stuff and inverters.

So this pony had been told to go and find new things to try and defend there land.

As he showed it to the bosses, they spoke and then looked at the effect it could do, they then gave him full control of this project cannon.

He went away and made one, but little did he know how powerful this so called cannon would be.

As the cannon was ready to be showed to the others, an invasion of changelings stopped that, but then he fired the cannon's which took out the in coming changelings, they left quickly.

Every pony cheered, loving this new item, however they pony that had made it was now working on something else, something called a mini cannon, like a cannon but smaller.

Then one pony said about the name, so he showed off the only model made and it fired a small hot load of pellets, they fired these pellets at a stuffed pony and there they saw the effect, leaving loads of holes.

But he then made it better so only one big ball shaped pellet came out.

He then called it "a gun" he thought of the name and that stuck, now every pony had a gun, to protect and to only be used when invaders attacked.

However one certain blue pony looked at this gun and thought about it.

The blue pony had run away to this Japan country to learn about more magic, but sadly all that she knew was what they already knew.

That's when she saw the gun.

"Excuse me, but the great and powerful Trixie wishes to know where she can buy on of these so called guns"

She said placing some bits on the table

"Ah you will need to get more bits for this, as they are only for sale in Japan, and you will need to buy a lance to say you own this gun and swear to only use it agents bad ponies or in self defence"

The shop owner said

"you are a pile of woss, I need this so called gun now the great and powerful Trixie knows of evil far more advanced then a bunch of changelings,"

She said taking the bag

"Unless of course you want to buy one off the black market"

The pony said as his glasses shined in the light, and opened up a curtain leading down to a market square selling all kinds of illegal items.

Trixie looked and saw all kinds of items, from spell books that where of black magic to body parts, she then saw the guns, she looked at them and saw the one she wanted.

She then put the bag on the table and the pony counted the bits, then gave her the gun and only one bullet.

Trixie now had enough to do something she wanted to do, kill the only pony that had upstaged her twice.

She took a plane to pony ville, but on the way there, she thought why should I just kill her? I could kill the most powerful princess; she smiled and knew that was the plan, to kill the princess.

As the plane landed Trixie walked all the way to canterlot.

As she entered she put on her posh face, she then waited she would have to wait until the princess was alone, she wondered how to do it?

Just simple walk in and shoot then take her crown and declare herself the new Queen?

Maybe even go up to her and then kill her and.

Ideas flew around in her head but the only one she thought of was the first, but then she knew what to do.

After a night of sleep, Trixie awoke and went to the castle; she knew that the princess would be able to give her something only she could, which was forgiveness.

As she got to the gates, the royal guards let her past, her gun tucked away in her hat.

She smiled and waited in line, she knew this was going to be the prefect day.

As she waited she moved back seeing as she was last in line, she then checked her gun, clicking it and loading in the powder and the bullet, but little did she know someone was watching her.

From the side of the wall shire spotted this new item, he then went to warn the princess but she just smiled and said that she would use magic to make the said bullet go away.

Shire walked away but hid inside the door way waiting.

As Trixie got to the royal doors she opened then walked up to the princess big smile on her face.

"Miss Trixie, what a great delight to see you here, what brings you here?"

Princess Celetia said smiling at the blue pony

"THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE IS HERE TO KILL YOU!"

She said pulling out the gun.

"Please, you think that will kill me? You are crazier then last time; I hope you're ready for jail food"

Her horn flashed and two royal guards appered and come towards her, but she used a magic blast them away.

Princess looked at her and just smiled knowing that she was just playing, but then she looked at the item and then saw it pointing right at her.

"Princess, it will be a great honour to kill you, as then I can take your great and powerful student and harm her in ways you will never see!"

Trixie took aim then clicked the trigger on the gun, a puff of smoke appered.

"NOOOOOOOO!"

Shire from no where jumped in front of the princess the bullet fired and hit him right in the chest a load of blood came from his chest, he landed and rolled to the side.

"NOOO! THAT WAS MY ONLY BULLET!"

Trixie said she then saw celetia; she was covered in shire's blood.

The princess got up and her horn glowed, so did her eyes, Trixie ran to the doors but they where locked, she used her magic to try to get them open but that didn't work.

She then saw the white glow of celetia, still covered in shire's blood.

"THOU HAS KILLED ONE OF MY PONY, THOU IS FOREVER BANNISHED TO THE PLANET NEVER TO BE DESCOVERED UNTIL MILLIONS OF YEARS THE PLANET PLUTO!"

Her horn flashed and hit Trixie, who tried to fight back but that was no good she cried and then was gone in a few seconds.

Trixie gasped as she landed on the cold planet, she then tried her magic but saw her horn was frozen her body started to get colder too, she then felt her body started to shiver, she then looked and saw her hoofs started to freeze.

She tried to move but couldn't and then her whole body was encased in ice.

She screamed but all that did was seal her fate, she was frozen in place never to be found.

Back at the castle celetia ran to shire, a pool of blood was by him, she rolled him over but saw the big hole in his cheast.

"Shire, please, stay with me, I'll heal you, you'll be fine, just stay with me!"

Celetia said holding him as the blood poured out over her hoofs.

"I'm afraid it's the end of me, my princess, *cough* I'm done for, but look at it this way, at least its not the other way round, I'm not holding you or your sister holding you"

Shire said coughing up blood

"You can't die, who will clean my room? Who will play games with Luna?"

As she said that princess Luna walked in and saw the blood

"Sister! Is thou SHIRE!"

Luna looked at the hole in his chest and cried, looking at the blood,

"Don't worry princesses, I've had a good life, I just didn't expect to go out this way, *cough* ugh but at least it was saving your life princess"

Shire slowly breathed and then coughed up blood then his eyes closed and he stopped breathing.

"SHIRE!? SHIRE!"

Princess Luna held her sister as she held the body of the last shire pony.

"Luna, I've got to do something I thought I'd never have to do, I'm sorry"

Celetia got up and then took the gun and used her magic to bring the pony that had made it to her.

The white pony sipped at some drink then he saw the princess he coughed and spit up his drink.

"P-P-PRINCESS!"

He said looking at her with blood over her

"So you the maker of this, you should be ashamed you've killed a pony"

"What do you mean? These are to stop invaders not kill just stun them, but I know the black market was making some small bullets for the gun, not fake rubber ones"

He said looking at her

"Thanks to you, you've killed one of my ponies look!"

She pointed to the dead pony lying next to Luna

"Gasp, I did not know they would do that, they are able to kill ponies, I'm very sorry for your loss princess"

He said bowing then he returned and told the ponies of the gun, they destroyed every gun that was made.

In the mean time in pony ville and all over equstria all the ponies where morning the loss of a great pony.

They put his body in a glass coffin, then they slowly pulled it though each town, the rain poured down.

They then got to the final resting place of shire, in the royal graveyard.

Each pony who knew shire put a flower on his body, they all cried.

Princess Celetia then got up to the stand and said some words.

"today we say goodbye to the last ever shire pony, shire, though he was old he still had a lot of life left in him, that life was taken away from us today,

"The pony that shoot him has been banished and will never return, she is to be forgotten and never spoke of,

"I knew shire when he was just a homeless pony, I took him in and he was a happy pony, if he had not been there, it might be me in that glass coffin,

"He is to be buried here, as he gave his life in order to save mine, that is the greatest sacrifice you can make,

"we will all miss him but we will never forget him as the books will write how he saved my life and gave his, he will be remembered as a hero, not a simple castle cleaner,

"Ponies, please say your final farewell to shire"

Princess Celetia stepped down and then they put the top on the glass coffin and lowered him into the earth.

Not a single dry eye was there, every pony knew to never forget shire.

As they filled in the hole the rain came down more and then above his grave they put a stature of him.

The golden plaque under him read,

"Here lies shire, saver of our princess, last of his kind, he rest with his kind now, he was a hero and will never be forgotten"

And in the history books they wrote on this date, the last pony race of shire ponies died from saving princess celetia.

In schools every year on that day they have a moment of silence for the hero that saved celetia.

Shire area under the castle was moved with magic to a museum, and is on display for all ponies to see where the hero slept ate and listened to music.

And so ends the race of the shire pony, normally there'd be a letter to the princess but instead there isn't only this, a message to the ponies, that even though you are angry it just shows that guns don't solve anything.
