"So...hows work been BP?" Nice cream guy asked, looking at Burgerpants, hoping that his response would be somewhat positive.

Burgerpants sighed deeply "Well... its not like it can get any worse right?" Burgerpants chuckled, looking back down at the floor.

"why...do you continue to do it? BP please you can quit, find somewhere else and start new" Nice cream guy muttered.

A tear dropped from BP's eye, Grilbly wasn't present at the time, so the two couldn't be punished for breaking a very important rule, (NO WATER), not that they were phased by him anyway. Grillbyz was merely a meeting place to see one another after work. "Josh.." Burgerpants huffed out. He, unlike anyone else, actually referred to nice cream guy by his real name. "I know you are struggling" He added.

Nice Cream furrowed his brow, glaring intensely at the cat "wh-what are you talking about BP"

Burgerpants appeared to be more depressed than usual "Nice cream isnt selling much is it? it never has..." he suggested.

"no...its just erm.." Nice cream guy quickly tried to think of an excuse but he wasn't the type to lie, especially to such a dear friend. " its just... weather...its winter so.."

Burgerpants let out a half hearted laugh "Josh, we have three different terrains each representing three seasons." He laughed

"oh..haha i guess you're right" he chuckled, his eyes lighting up, completely intoxicated with happiness.

Burgerpants stood up slamming his paw on the table, from his face you could clearly see he had been crying. "HOW CAN YOU BE SO HAPPY ALL THE FLIPPIN TIME?!" he yowled loudly, his paws balled up into a fist. The bar had fell completely silent, the atmosphere becoming tense as drama began to stir. BP looked at Josh, still not completely aware of his actions.

The rabbits eyes glazed over with tears and his smile dropped. "I-im sorry" and with that the cat left the bar ignoring the glares from each customer in the place."B-Burgerpants..."

It was the next day and Burgerpants had been dreading his actions and regretted the whole scenario which took place. Work would take his mind off it easily, given that Mettaton didn't actually give him time to think.. To get to work he had to pass Josh at the entrance which he was not prepared for. As he exited the elevator and continued walking down to his job he saw that the nice cream stall had vanished. Burgerpants turned examining each detail of the scene. 'h-hes gone...' he was interrupted by Mettaton's familiar glamorous voice.

"Darling you do realise that the customers are on the inside right we wouldn't want your 13.7658 second lateness affect your salary now would we" BP looked at him, not even shocked, after always working with him he did realise to expect the unexpected and this was far from it..

Burgerpants deepened his tone "coming now". He walked slowly to the entrance eyes trailing the floor as he tried to fight his sadness. "Sorry boss" Mettaton stared at him shocked, he was aware of BP's depression however this time Mettaton himself could feel it in his soul.

"ill let you have an easier today Alright?" but Burgerpants was to lost in emotion to respond.. "Poor thing, I hope he's okay..the robot thought to himself.

The grill sizzled as the burgers juices spilt over its already greasy surface. Burgerpants still lost in thought could not stop his mind from reminiscing the events the earlier day, especially when everyone at his work place was already informed on what had happened. Another tear fell on the grill instantly evaporating into vapour to show that nothing ever happened. In the distance he could hear people chatting about what had happened."i heard he like cried"

"oh my god, how harsh can he be"

"ye like so true i hope that he's like ok"

"shhhh he like maybe able to hear us" The voices began to fade away 'i-i so sorry Josh.'

He couldn't take it any more the guilt was to much for the poor cat to handle, he knew how sensitive the rabbit was so why did he do it? it physically hurt ,the emotion pain had accumulated a into a physical form harnessed within his body. He could no longer control his flow of tears which were now beginning to soak the fur on his face.he dropped to the ground paws clenched like fists. He felt something a warm clench his shoulder "Burgerpants please don't cry" BP turned hoping that the person behind him would be Josh but as always he was disappointed that Mettaton was there. "I've heard what had happened..darling you should of told me" the robot hugged Burgerpants trying in anyway to comfort him. "I- I honestly di-" he was interrupted by another voice behind the door."i know". "i invited him over so you c-" BP got up and ran to him gripping Josh's fur with his own paws in a long needed hug. Josh looked at the sobbing cat surprised.

Mettaton slyly left the room leaving the guys to have there convocation in privacy. "I'm so so so sorry i didn't mean to make you sad" Josh let out another little laugh and used his fluffy paw to hold Burgerpants face up.

"I know what you've been doing for me" Josh said while wiping away the supposedly never ending waterfall of tears. "You worked here to help me. You've been paying my taxes, for my food promoting my business and just barely coping yourself. You've sacrificed your dream to keep mine alive. You torture yourself everyday to ensure that each day at least one person can smile even though it means that you yourself cant. You asked my why i always smile..the reason I smile is because of you it always has been" Burgerpants heart stopped, he couldn't believe that Josh was actually saying this to him.

" How'd you find out?"

"Mettaton was tracking your money distribution and Alphys hacked into the kings income not to mention my own"

Burgerpant's expression changed "Oh figures.."

"Why would you do that for me" the cat looked at the rabbit who had tilted his head in confusion. BP sighed and stared into Joshs eyes. He grabbed Joshes hips and back "because.." he finished his sentence with a kiss which the rabbit was drawn to. BP pulled away flushed "Burgerpants i never knew you were ga-"

Burgerpants was quick to respond "it is what it is ok?.." Josh couldn't deny he liked the feeling of Burgerpants being close to him and the kiss confirmed it

"Thank you" the rabbit said holding his crimson cheeks. "ive waited for this for so long" a tear dropped on BPs head. The cat held him tighter and the rabbit kissed his head. "i love you Burgerpants"

"i love you too Josh"

Meanwhile

"Alphys did you get that!!"

"Yes omg i need it ahhhh"

"i ship it!"

"OMG kawaidesu!"

Mettaton stares at Alphys silently judging her....

Just so you know I picked the name Josh because i believe that it suits nice cream guy amazingly, it isnt his real name although for the the sake of the story it is now.
