#40 of Story Commissions

Don't pick up your phone when you're half asleep, especially if you have godly friends. Thunder goes along with Kaji to do some errands, hijinks ensue. Commission for Kaji!

When Kaji mentioned "something that he needed to do" around Thunder, the eastern dragon always figured that he meant he was bored and wanted company. When the message appeared on his phone early in the morning, the dragon had been half asleep and responded that he'd accompany him with doing whatever since he didn't have that much to do himself. After sticking to his guns and his half conscious decision, Thunder had stood outside Kaji's apartment building. The draolf left the building with a small yawn. He dressed in a sleeveless, camouflage vest with a sweater underneath alongside a pair of khakis and sneakers, his signature bulge stretching out the front almost comically.

Thunder sat on the nearest fire hydrant, the sun already shining in the morning. He covered his muzzle as he yawned, his tongue lolling out before he ceased. The dragon dressed himself in a black hooded sweater, a pair of jeans and his pair of custom sized boots. The large, thick green tail swayed about as Thunder waved at the mutt tiredly.

"Ugh, don't ask me things in the morning, I always feel bad when I consider ditching," Thunder mumbled.

"Hey, I would have asked the boyfriend, but he's got work, and I've got a day off, so errands are on me," Kaji could only shrug his shoulders in response as he talked. He walked over towards Thunder, poking him on the nose which prompted a snort from the eastern. Warm air blasted at his finger tips, making him laugh a bit. "Come on, let's get this over with so I can go back to bed."

"And you call me lazy," Thunder rolled his eyes. The two took off into the city shortly afterwards. "What do you even have to do anyways?"

"Um...pay some bills, pick up some laundry, do a bit of shopping, so I can also use the muscle," he listed off with each finger, glancing towards Thunder as he said the last bit.

Thunder crossed his arms together over his chest and pouted, wooden eyebrows furred. Even under the hooded sweater, one could tell that the whiskered dragon was absolutely built. Kaji appreciated his size and strength, even if the aesthetic never exactly appealed to him. Plus, it also meant that he didn't need to be the pack mule if he had to pick up groceries today.

"I feel so used, I'm more than just a meatbag, sir," Thunder resented overdramatically, putting a hand to his chest as he put an arm up. "I have feelings, I have thoughts, I'm not just thinking about the gym all the time."

"Oh can it, you know I didn't mean that, salad head," The draolf snickered.

Thunder laughed in response, gently swatting Kaji's leg with the fluff of his tail as they walked. It was only nine in the morning and various furs were walking about the city to their jobs or other destinations. Block after block, the two continued their conversation about anything that came across their minds. Thunder's tired gaze glanced across the streets they passed for any coffee shops. He didn't manage to see any that were empty or didn't have huge lines, which made him frown and sigh in defeat. Kaji's ears perked up at the dragon's distress.

"Something up?" the draolf questioned.

"Yeah. Could use some coffee, anything to perk me up right about now," he finished with a yawn as he covered his mouth.

Kaji admitted that he had a point to that. Thunder's tail dragged across the ground, which looked a bit abnormal for him. The large, close to four foot appendage usually was kept above ground since the dirt would get into his hair. Thunder scratched his mane with another loud yawn. In that moment, an idea came to Kaji. Maybe this errand trip wouldn't be so boring after all.

"I think I can help with that."

Thunder gazed at Kaji for a moment before he noticed the mutt snap his fingers. Nary a few seconds later, Thunder felt a rush of energy pass him by. Any sort of tiredness or yawning had completely been flushed out of his system. He felt a lot lighter, too! He didn't know what Kaji had exactly done, but it'd worked! The 'dragon' smiled to himself and gave a flex of his muscles underneath his sweater as a sort of test. Nope, not one bit of sluggishness at all. In fact, he felt like he could do a few several hundred push-ups and barely break a sweat. He couldn't even stand still without bobbing left and right on his feet. Kaji looked at him with a bright smile to which Thunder returned. The 'dragon's ears flicked about as his fluffy tail wagged rapidly in response. It was then that he noticed that something was a bit off. The usual weight of his tail was gone.

"Huh, that's weird...where'd my tail go?" Thunder asked himself. Kaji snickered as Thunder attempted to crane his head behind him. He felt his neck muscles bulge a bit, telling him that he'd thickened up a bit as well. The range of motion for the collar felt a lot smaller. But enough of that, what happened to his tail? As soon as he turned around to try and get a look, all he could see was a puffy tail of green and black that disappeared. He continued turning around to get a better look, only to continuously go around in a circle. Thunder growled in contempt, circling around himself in the middle of the block only to let out a deep, powerful bark that even surprised himself. He blinked rapidly and took another look at himself, he pulled out his phone and noticed that his hands were looking incredibly different. Namely, he had four fingers and had paw pads on each digit. His hands were substantially bulkier, too. They were noticeably fuzzier to the touch. When he got a look at his face from his phone's reflection, it all clicked.

"Did you turn me into a dog!?" Thunder barked out. His ears flattened against his skull as he stared down at Kaji with a frown. His face looked less draconian and more canine, right down to the nose. His face had retained some features such as the wooden snout and eyebrows, but his whiskers and mane were gone and he had black fur mixed with his usual green and sported a faux hawk.

"Husky, actually, I think it works for you," Kaji remarked. He leaned up to scratch the underside of Thunder's chin. The massive Siberian husky only turned his head to deny such a right, but soon failed as his canine desire for scratches took over. The massive dog leaned back down as Kaji scratched along his chin, prompting a deep rumble from the muscled dog. His chest heaved as he panted heavily, his tongue all lolled out while his tail wagged quickly for a few moments. He was dead set on asking for more before his ears perked up. He glanced around and noticed that he'd been getting looks from a few bystanders. Thunder coughed and went back to his full height, a light flush of pink gracing his cheeks.

"We never speak of that again," Thunder rumbled.

Kaji simply laughed and continued down the street. "Haha, nah. Maybe we should get you a collar!" he said as he walked downwards, leaving Thunder to turn his head up defiantly. The dragon-turned-husky soon glanced back toward Kaji at the mention of a collar and dashed back up towards him, boots thumping towards the pavement loudly.

"Maaaaybe I can consider this a good change, at least for today," Thunder said quickly. "Do I get to pick it out?"

"Sure, let's just find a place after I find a cashier to pay my bills," Kaji suggested.

Thunder frowned. His ears sagged a bit as he let out a small whimper. He walked in front of Kaji and soon crouched over to he was eye level with the mutt. With his overly muscled frame, his traps slightly loomed over the mutt, giving Thunder a bit of a no-neck effect. Kaji wasn't surprised since he'd also increased his size a bit along with the canine features. His jeans were just barely fitting no thanks to his immense quads and the anaconda length bulge that snaked underneath the fabric. The husky put his hands together and stared at the mutt. He widened his eyes and pouted, giving a few slight whimpers to add onto the effect.

Kaji simply rolled his eyes before patting Thunder on the head. "Puppy eyes don't work on me. Trust me when I say that I live with someone whose cuteness does things to me," he snickered, walking past the muscle bound dog. Thunder scowled in response before standing up and following behind Kaji in defeat. The two soon arrived at the cashier later on. Kaji stepped inside the door, pulling out a few small envelopes from his vest pockets. Thunder attempted to follow suit, only to find that the logistics of the place were against him. The cashier was a small, one story place, but he found himself staring at the top of the door and then some. He blinked rapidly and tried to get himself inside. Thunder could barely wedge himself inside, his shoulders bumping against the outer frame. The most he could get in was his torso and legs, but that was pushing it. With a whimper, he sat outside, crouched on the sidewalk with his arms down on the ground like a dog sitting on all fours. He could have sworn that he fit in doors before. What had changed? His hooded sweater was feeling a bit more snug than usual along with his pants, so he figured the mutt had something to do with it. Once that train of thought passed, Thunder blinked as he noticed his current position.

"Ugh, how do they do that? Uncomfortable as hell," he grumbled as he stood back up to lean on the wall of the building. Kaji popped out of the cashier minutes later, prompting Thunder to run back to his side with a bright smile. "You done yet? Collar time?" he asked eagerly.

Kaji could only laugh a bit as he scratched Thunder's chin again when he leaned down towards him to give a quick lick. "Yeah, but how's about we save that for later? I think the enthusiasm is a bit too perky this morning." He suggested. He snapped his fingers once more, another rush of energy overflowing the husky shortly afterwards. Thunder made his way towards the window of the cashier building to get a better look. He noted that his hoodie felt a lot more constricted than usual. Any flex of his arms made the fabric strain just a bit more than he'd like, and his jeans and boots were the same way. His toes were close to cutting through the front of the boot and he swore that he had to crunch his feet for them to stay inside his boot while his chest and abs ground itself against the fabric of his sweater. He had nothing but a tank top underneath, but he was sure that it was already ripped. His traps felt a lot larger as it bumped at his neck, or what was left of it underneath that thick muscle. In the right light, one could see the indent of his nipples and abdomen alongside with the definition of his overly thick quads and legs.

Everything had an almost tightening grip on him and he was more than tempted to flex out of them, but being naked would not be the best idea. He focused more on himself and tried to peg what Kaji turned him into. He had a short bushel of hair on his head, a more pointed muzzle alongside what looked like a black mask over his eyes. His fingers were a bit more precise and tipped with claws, but still retained their meaty look. When Thunder looked back on himself to inspect his tail, it was a lot longer than the husky, but not as long as the original, it was covered with black and green rings right until the end o f it.

"...Raccoon? Really?" Thunder raised a brow at him. "I least don't want the collar now, but this isn't exactly a step up or down," Thunder said irritably.

"Aww, I think it looks kind of cute. Little big thief fella," Kaji smiled. "Come on, let's go pick up the laundry."

Thunder mumbled in disagreement. As the two walked over down the street, Thunder's steps slightly reverberated along the block. Every one of his steps felt heavier than before, but he simply blamed it on the mutt's antics. It didn't help that he was already close to bursting out of his clothes if h took the wrong breath. It was nothing short of a miracle that everything still kind of fit enough for him to put his hoodie up over his head. When the duo finally arrived at the Laundromat, Thunder counted his graces that the doors were double wide. He had to be over ten feet at this going rate, but bending over allowed him to step inside, but hunch himself down so he didn't bump against the ceiling. The clerk at the end of the Laundromat, a measly weasel waved over at Kaji before blinking and visibly gulped at the sight of the enormous, ceiling brushing raccoon in front of him. The 'coon's tail idly swished left and right as he waved down towards him.

"Don't worry, he's just a friend. Just here to pick up the load I dropped off yesterday," Kaji said as he handed over the ticket. The weasel simply nodded as he took the ticket. He'd been in the middle of a foot long sandwich as he set it down and walked off, but not before taking another look at the behemoth in front of him. Once he disappeared into the back of the place for Kaji's bag, Thunder's eyes glanced around the Laundromat before falling on the half eaten sandwich left on the table. In a quick motion, Thunder nabbed the sandwich and started to eat it like it was the most natural thing in the world.

The clerk soon came back with a bag in tow and passed it over to the draolf with thanks. As the weasel made his way back to his sandwich, he yelped when he noticed Thunder already eating the last bit of it, slack jawed. Thunder emitted a powerful burp that shook the ceiling a bit before a deep "excuse me" followed suit from it. Staring down at the clerk, his beady yellow eyes blinked rapidly for a moment.

"Um, sorry...were you going to finish that?" He said apologetically.

"Maybe we should go," Kaji said quickly as he pushed Thunder out of the Laundromat after passing him the bag to carry. The two were soon on their way to their next destination, the mall. Kaji needed to get some stuff that his boyfriend had been meaning to buy, so he figured he may as well get two birds down while he was already out. Entering the mall had been something of a trial for the massive raccoon as Thunder was forced to take the garage entrance and meet up with Kaji in the main floor. Though with a bit of effort. Thunder's slick fingers continued to pluck food from unsuspecting folks and restaurants, slowly filling his stomach before he'd actually reached the draolf. Thunder had Kaji's laundry bag slung behind his back while the other hand was full of various foodstuffs that he occasionally stuffed into his mouth. Kaji opened his mouth to ask what happened.

"Don't ask, scavenger thing. Think there's a full trash can near the food court or something?" Thunder asked casually as he stuffed the last bit of food into his mouth.

"Okay, I think it's time for another change before you start stealing shiny stuff from the mall," Kaji chuckled. With another snap of his fingers, Thunder burst forth in size again. He was closer to twelve feet now, his chest almost obscuring his downward vision no thanks to his clothed chest. Kaji had the courtesy of increasing the size of his clothes this time as well, though the tatter of his tank top had fallen to the floor already in the midst of his growth. Thunder sighed as he tried to take a look at himself and deal with the slight breeze that came with one less layer of clothing.

With nothing to exactly take a look at himself, Thunder walked over towards the fountain in the center of the mall's main floor to get a better observation. Looking over the fountain without much effort, Thunder let out a snort as he noted the curled horns on either side of his head and the much broader muzzle. He rubbed his hairy chin with a bulky hand before he nodded a bit. "Sheep, not baaaaaaad," Thunder said before he clasped his mouth shut.

"Did you do that on purpose!?" Kaji erupted into a fit of laughter as he walked up behind the twelve foot, looming ram.

"I need a shake, be right back!" Thunder stampeded off into another direction, possibly towards the nearest fruit stand, dropping the laundry bag. Kaji shook his head as he took off to the nearest shop, picking up the bag that Thunder had dropped. He had to go pick up some underwear before he got some other things for around the apartment like deodorant and cleaning supplies. He figured that Thunder would be okay by himself. If not, he'd be able to hear him stomping about from miles away.

Thunder's avid footsteps rocked through the small vicinity of his being as he slowed down to a brisk walk to avoid the embarrassment from before. He felt stupid for not expecting that to happen, but he needed something to take his mind off of it. He looked around for any fruit stands or carts, a few other furs taking a few glances back at him, clearly due to his behemoth size. He snorted and rolled his eyes before finding one of the carts in question. He walked up behind the line, his footsteps announcing his presence to the line of three other furs. Once his all encompassing shadow came up over them, they were all forced to look up towards the massive ram. He merely snorted and flexed his chest a bit underneath his hoodie. The material creaked a bit under the mass amounts of force coming from him. The line didn't need a second thought to flee away from the brutish ram. The employee at the stand, a meek gecko, had been terrified on the spot of the ram's overwhelming presence and shadow.

Thunder stared down at him, emitting a deep grunt as he rapped his large digits on the stand's table. "Green smoothie, extra wheatgrass and anything else green that ya got. Biggest you have." He rumbled deeply.

"Y-yes sir!" The gecko got to make the ram his shake. As the seconds passed by, the gecko pulled out a mug and everything he needed into the blender. Once it turned on and started mixing the ingredients together, Thunder let another irritated snort. He didn't know why he was mad, but something about the sound of the blender running or the timid looks from the gecko had him already pissed. And it wasn't helping that the blender took forever and a half. Once it finally finished, the gecko poured the contents into the largest cup that they had after adding a few small shots of kale from underneath the stand.

"More." The ram interrupted him.

"Y-you got it!"

The gecko added in shot after shot, every commanding rumble striking fear into him even more. He kept pouring more and more until he was sure that the cup was going to overflow with the contents, especially if he made the kiosk wobble again. After going through the last shot of green, the gecko stared back up at the ram fearfully.

"Um...sir...you've e-exhausted everything I got, I think this is enough," he stuttered, capping the drink shut best as he could and passed it over to Thunder.

The ram stared down at him. His wooden eyebrow twitched for a few seconds before he picked up his drink. "Well I guess you're going to have to look for more ," the ram slammed his fist onto the kiosk with every last word of that sentence. The gecko let out an 'eep' and shuddered with every accentuated word. Thunder was very sure that the guy was going to piss his pants, but he didn't care. If he couldn't get it right, what was the point? The ram slammed his fist onto the kiosk one last time with whatever strength he was using which finally made the gecko yell out for life and flee the stand.

Thunder blinked rapidly, brow raised. He wasn't gonna hurt him, but did he really scare him that much? He looked back at his drink, and then looked back around the mall. The area had gone silent with his mini rampage. Soon after, another sound cut through the silence. The kiosk started to tremble before the table of the kiosk broke apart right down the middle along with several bits of the kiosk itself. The remains of the poor juice stand stood in front of Thunder as he looked at the crowd, the kiosk, and then his drink. He quickly pulled a straw from the mess and walked off quickly with his free smoothie.

The drink was actually pretty good and thick; he slurped it down happily. It took a few minutes for him to finish his drink, the plastic cup completely empty of anything. Thunder stared at the cup for a few seconds before he shrugged. He took off the top and the straw and lobbed the cup itself into his mouth. He wasn't going to waste any bit of it. No one seemed to stare at him as he took the path back to the main floor of the mall, probably because of his prior rampage, or the fact that he'd down the smoothie, cup and everything without batting an eye.

"Eh, not bad," he told himself. As he chewed the cup down, he arrived back at the fountain to see Kaji holding a few bags full of various things and sitting back at the ring of it while the floor had even more bags. Thunder raised a wooden brow at the amount of stuff he'd gotten.

"Am I supposed to carry all those?" Thunder asked gruffly.

"Well, duh. I did ask ya to help me," Kaji said like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Thunder let out a sigh. "Really? I thought you were joking about that."

Kaji shook his head and passed a few of the bags over to Thunder. He reluctantly grabbed them, but not before crouching down to meet Kaji eye to eye. He leaned his chin upwards toward him, almost like he was asking for something. Thunder had a look that said "get it over with already". Kaji couldn't help but laugh as he scratched Thunder's chin as if he were a dog again and pat him on the head.

"D'aww. Maybe I should get that collar after all," Kaji commented.

Thunder snorted air in his face as a rebuttal.

"I got ya, I got ya. Still, I'm considering it," he snickered as they made their way out of the mall. "Do you at least want me to change ya back?"

Thunder shrugged his shoulders as he and Kaji left the mall, Thunder carrying several bags between each hand and two on his horns. He was forced to walk slow for the sake of not dropping anything. "Nah, I think I'm good for now. In a mood for green and the gym, and I apparently don't know my strength."

"Hmm?"

"Nothing. I think I made someone piss their pants..." He grumbled.

The draolf looked at him with a confused expression. Just what did he get into in the time that he left him alone? Maybe it wasn't a good idea. "You at least have fun helping me?"

Thunder nodded with a yawn. "Yeah, though I could do without the random swapping. The stuff I ate is probably gonna haunt me later. You could have done all this without me, too."

Kaji laughed and patted Thunder on the leg. The guy ended up twice his size, so he really couldn't aim for his back. "True, but I like the company."

Thunder rolled his eyes and sighed. "Sometimes I think you just take the chances to screw around with me."

"Oh, that too." Kaji said eagerly.

Thunder frowned. He guessed as much. Next time, he needed to learn to not answer his phone early in the morning.
