Whelp, that escalated quickly.

"Fern? Where are you?" Lucius called. No one had seen Fern or the "artifact," Chiss, in over six hours. She had ran off earlier that afternoon but wasn't seen since. And Fern was determined to keep it that way. She sent a psychic imprint to Lucius, telling him to return to where it started: Celibi's Grace. She needed to talk to him. She needed to say good bye.

Lucius suddenly got a strange feeling to check the center of town for Fern, where Celibi's Grace is. Go back to where it all started, you know? Maybe the fenni- no, braxian- had thought the same. As he was walking toward the statue, he bumped into a makuhita. "Watch it!" He said, shoving the riolu to the ground.

"Oh! I'm sorry. I didn't see you there," Lucius said.

"You callin' me short, asshole?" the makuhita growled.

"Not at all," Lucius said. A fight would have broken out then and there if Fern hadn't called Lucius out. "Lucius! Over here," she yelled. Apparently having a psychic type on his side helped a little. When he turned and started walking to the Braxian, the makuhita backed off, muttering something about forgetting and faces. "What was that about?" The Braixen inquired.

"Just a normal misunderstanding. I think he's gonna forget about it," Lucius said. "Where have you been?"

"I've-" Fern hesitated, tensing up. "I've been talking to Chiss. Her mother was a friend of mine, and unlike me, she was told things about why we are here."

"Really? What? Tell me," the riolu said. He could see a sort of pink halo around her form. Actually, now that he thought about it, he saw a purple one around the makuhita.

"I don't want too. But Lucius," she paused again, blushing slightly. "I wanted you to know before I..." He didn't say anything, giving a silent indication to continue. And she did. "I've had a crush on you since we met." He was stunned for a moment, barely registering her words.

"So have I! Oh my Arceus," he said, slapping his forehead. "I should have known...."

Fern held his hands out in front of him, bending down on a knee. "But I have to go. You understand? I.. I need to go find Sharpened Grass. Oh, and my mom said hi."

He looked down. "I understand." The pink light around her grew stronger as she bent down....and kissed him. As she did, he felt a new feeling, almost a tingling sensation. Then he felt himself grow.

"Lucius, look at that! You're evolving," Eve's voice said. Then she noticed what was happening. "Oh... Fras! Come look!" the zorua appeared beside her. Lucius still didn't notice them, he was engulfed in this great new feeling as he had to bend down to kiss her now, their tongues exploring each other's mouths. Time stood still until they stopped, about ten seconds later. Lucius pulled away as he noticed everyone in Celibi Square staring. "Hey guys," he said, trying to play it off. Dr. Brown, a lopunny, and Tem, a stoutland, came forward. "You evolved," the doctor said.

"And you kissed Fern," Tem said.

Suddenly, Fern's eyes were wild, and she held her mouth gaping open as the "wand" from her tail was in her hand. Her fur was standing on end.

"When the Reader joins with the daughter

All have found their place.

Now the swords must sought out.

Everything's going to change," she chanted, as a blue horse, the Colt Pokemon, wandered into the square. She bolted from the square, red in the face.

"Can someone direct me to the Vocarona guild?" Keldeo asked.
