T he Anthro Region.....A far off island named after Sir Anthro Charles the Fifth, a noble man of considerable wealth who while searching for an area of uncharted land to build his strong hold during the Great War that waged across the entire Pokémon World at that time. A conflict that saw both sides Human's as well as Pokémon alike fighting and dying at each other's hands in the name of greed disguised as righteous crusades, each side consumed by fear born suspicion fuelled by the flames of rage that where fanned by those in power to further their own personal grabs for even more power. It was a time when evil was thought to be seen everywhere and blame cast upon neighbouring regions rather than looking within their own heart s, it was a time of corruption were needless destruction has become a way of life. A time when death and bloodshed so great that even in the modern day the scars of that condonable era can still be found littered about the world in the one form or another to this day.

Sir Charles a Knight a man who inherited power by noble by birth was not so noble in nature; he was a cruel despot of a tyrannical fiend, who squandered his subject's money though absurd and unreasonable taxation to finance exploration for land where he would be safe from his warring neighbours. Such an act while done for purely selfish reasons was still considered in centuries to come to be the only worthy act of this delusional megalomaniac.

Be it through skill of those hired to explore or though divine Arceus's intervention an island was found untouched by the hands of man, rich in natural resources; but no arrangements were made to colonise in advance. Instead Sir Charles who had become filled with the ideas of becoming a king of his own land, forced his serfs on to the ships even by sword point when any showed desire to remain behind. The man though deluded by the delusions of grandeur was sane of mind enough to understand the need for a King to have subjects to rule, the conditions aboard those cramped ocean bearing vessels had been horrific to say the least. Conditions that the good people under the madman's power would have to suffer for an entire month as the vessels travelled from the Kalos region, many died from malnutrition, scurvy, as well as many other unpleasant diseases born from the filth and squalor of their confinement.

Those that died along the way where simply thrown unceremoniously over board along with those who were too weak or refused to comply to whatever sick twisted fun the ship's crew though up for entertainment to pass the time upon the Journey. Sir Charles remained well fed squandering the precious supplies and blaming his serfs for stealing his food when provisions began to run low, it was half way through the journey when the foul tyrant commanded that all the frail, sick as well as decrepid should be put to the sword so that the food and fresh water stores might be stretched out to last longer. The decks ran red with the blood of the dying, the tears and screams or distraught filed the air as bodies of the dead were thrown into the sea, attracting Sharpedos from miles around to the feeding frenzy left in the wake of the vessels.

Rations where halved even more for all but those in Sir Charles favour; after the month was up the sight of their destination came into view, those that survived while free of the horrific conditions aboard the transport ships where filled with rage and hunger filled desire to rise up. Sir Charles was ruthless if nothing else, fuelling the flames of unrest amongst his serfs by placing all the blame of their pain and sorrows upon the crews of the ships that had brought them to their new island home. The result of the rumours he had spread of how the crew intended to kill everyone who had survived while selling their children into slavery took hold in a matter of minutes stirring the weak malnourished people into an irrational mob screaming out for retribution for all they had suffered.

Sir Charles further fuelled the mob by sharing what remained of his food reserves though this was more to keep the mob from turning on himself rather than giving them the strength to fight against the well armed ships crews. It was a blood bath as the sailors though putting up a good fight where over-run by the mob mentality of all those crazed men and women that they had tormented during the journey. Sir Charles was hailed their saviour despite his past deeds, all his evils against them forgiven and looked upon as a changed man who had suffered alongside them, in a short few years a new home had been built for the people of the now named Anthro Island but the people still suffered under the rule of the now King Anthro Charles the First. However no one spoke out against him for in their eyes he could do no wrong that was except for the children who would dare to ask questions of their parents only to become frustrated from they were told or received beatings for showing any sign of disloyalty.

But the children were not alone as the many Pokémon that lived on the vast Island took pity on the Humans for their blindness to what was happening, the Pokémon on the island had for the most part kept their distance from these strange smooth skinned beings having witnessed the brutal actions upon their arrival to the island. Only the children would be approached when none of the adults would be looking before stealing them away in ones and twos then later in small groups, bringing them to Pokémon villages where the children where cared for as if they where the Pokémon's own offspring.

Outraged by the dwindling numbers of his future slave like subjects King Anthro ordered his men to hunt down the Pokémon with sword and bow but this proved to be a fool's errand considering the powers that a Pokémon would possess. The rivers ran red with the blood of the huntsmen sent out to cull the Pokémon over time even the adult began to vanish reunited with their long lost children, for the next ten years this continued until finally one morning the Despot Ruler was found dead a look of terror written about his cold lifeless face as if he had been slain in some nightmare.

Some say it was some unknown Legendry Pokémon who had struck down the cruel tyrant others say it was the judgement of Arceus, there are even those who theorise that it had been outraged Ghost Pokémon who had decided to take matters into their own hands after seeing the nightmare memories of the children. However it happened, Sir Anthro was no more and the people where free of his tyranny, working hand in hand with Pokémon the island nation was forged together then developed over time into what it is today.

The Modern day Antrho Region is rich in Pokemon and Human variety, where Friendships are forged through the hardships as well as courage forged by both Trainer as well as Pokémon alike inorder to reach for their Dreams, venturing forth on their journies to seek out adventure side by side. But just like many of the other regions the Anthro region has its own share of problems such as Pokémon Poachers and Organised Criminal Gangs bent on domination, not to mention the taboo crime of Poképhilia. Though outlawed, sexual activity with Pokémon has proven all but impossible to enforce since more times often than none it is the Pokémon who innate things; seducing their Human partners in acts of tender passionate love mutually shared between Trainers and their Pokémon. Though in some rare occasions things such as consent is not always requested in regards to sexual pleasure, but rather forced and just taken with little considerations for the suffering of those not giving their consent to such acts.

Regardless of its problems the Region boasts more Pokémon Gyms than any other nations with double the number of available Badges, one of which must be acquired before any Trainer may begin their Pokémon Journey. Those Trainers who come to the Athro Region will find themselves turned away or pointed towards one of several Pokémon Academy's where they must earn their Level One League Badge that will permit them to challenge a Gym and stay in the overnight accommodations in any of the Regions Pokémon Centers.

The Level Two will give them the right to take part in Pokémon Contests and Tournaments; while the Third Level Badge is given to a Trainer who has all twelve Gym Badges, their efforts will reward them with the privilege to enter Victory Road. An opportunity converted by all trainers of the region, to those who have success in navigation of Victory Road will lead that trainer the Anthro Region's Elite Four and possible eternal glory in the regions hall of fame. However the last League Badge is the Level Four Badge something that is the most sought after if not the most hardest to attain. For this badge alone allows an individual to challenge the Anthro Regions Champion not to mention give its owner the Privilege to enter 'Evolution Park'. A place heavily guarded by Pokémon Rangers against the constant threat of Pokémon Poachers and Criminal Organisations, but for a Pokémon Trainer of the Anthro Region it all begins with the Level One League Badge and the choice between either a Pansage, a Pansear or a Panpour!.......So with all this known let us begin your journey by asking you two simple questions.

What is your Name?

Are you a Boy or are you a Girl?
