Netflix and Cuddle
#1 of Felix & Shaw
Just a fluffy piece I felt like writing. I am bad at descriptions and titles.
Felix and Shaw have some roommate bonding time. I guess. No smut. Just fluff.
"Dammit!" Felix bellowed, his grip on the controller tightening. "That's not fair!" The hyena's eyes fixated on the television screen as he watched his character fall over in defeat. "Did you see that shit Shaw? I clearly won that match!" In a huff, Felix hurled his controller next to him on the couch.
The tiger, who struggled to hold in his laughter, placed a paw on his friend's shoulder. "Dude..." He managed to spurt out without laughing, "It's fine. You get way too heated over that game."
Felix took a few breaths, not wanting to look like an idiot in front of his friend, though it wasn't as if Shaw hadn't seen him that way before. "Sorry dude. I just can't stand the idea of losing to some newbie." The hyena pouted, leaning his head on the tiger's broad shoulder.
"Dude it's fine. I am sure you'll get him next time." Shaw smiled, doing his best to console his still angry friend.
After a few more minutes of pouting, Felix sighed and stood up. "You know what? Screw that guy. You wanna get some pizza?"
Shaw nodded, standing to join his friend. "Sure man, sounds like a good idea. You buying?"
"That was the intention, yes."
The hyena jogged over towards his phone and ordered a large, chicken, bacon, peppers, and sausage pizza. "Right, now that that's done. What do you wanna do while we wait?"
The large tiger quickly eyed the controller lying on the couch, "How about we don't play that for right now?"
Felix's hand went behind his head, suddenly embarrassed. His ears lowered to lay flat on his head as he turned away from the other. "Sorry about that."
The hyena jumped a small bit when he felt a paw on his shoulder, not having heard his friend make his way over. Before he even knew what was happening, he found himself pulled in for a very big hug. Slowly, he put his paws up on the other's shoulders, wrapping them nicely around the tiger's neck.
They stayed like that for a few minutes before Felix pulled away slightly, "Thanks man. Though I should try and calm down when I play those."
Shaw shrugged, grinning down at the shorter male. "No worries dude. I just don't want you to get all riled up again. That's all." He ruffled the hyena's head fur and released him from his grip.
Felix was just about to say something when they heard the doorbell ring. "Oh! The pizza! I nearly forgot!" He rushed over to the door, opening it as he fished around in his pocket for his wallet, handing the pizza guy enough to cover the pizza with some change left over for a tip and shut the door.
The two of them plopped down on the couch, enjoying the pizza as Felix fumbled around for the remote, turning the television back on and starting the Netflix app on his PS4.
Felix was so focused on the show that he almost didn't notice when what felt like a footpaw brushed up against his own. Figuring it was nothing, he turned his attention back to the show, but seconds later he felt the same brush up again.
"Dude?" Felix glanced over at his friend, who was staring at him. "Uh, you okay?"
"Yep! Totally okay man!" He beamed as he extended an arm to wrap around his friend's shoulder once more. "Just happy is all."
A soft blush crept it's way onto Felix's cheeks as he quickly jolted his head away. "S-Shut up!"
Not saying anything else, Felix sighed and allowed his head to lean against the tiger's shoulder. He was happy that he got to live with his best friend, even if that's all they stayed. For him, he was just happy to be near him.
