Knowing Your World Better (Naga TF)

By Crola_the_Snake

Carlo is running out of ideas. He just can't do world building anymore. It's too overwhelming and it exhausts his imagination.

Crola is sitting in front of his laptop, groaning as he stared at the empty OneNote page. His Beethoven music didn't help so he switched to Le Carnaval des Animaux.

"I just wish I know my world better," Carlo said. Suddenly, a bright light appeared before him from his laptop. Carlo covered his eyes.

A few moments later, the light faded. When Carlo opened his eyes, he is sitting by a tree in the middle of the woods. There is a river in front of him, flowing from the left to the right.

"Hold on, this looks familiar," Carlo said, not seeing his body change.

Purple scales are now growing on his arms. His nails are replaced by claws. As the changes reached his torso, covering the front with white scales and purple scales in the back, his neck lengthened to about twice it's original length. His face pushed forward as his ears disappeared and his hair disappear into his head.

Carlo started noticing the changes when his legs stop working, he looked and saw his two legs merge, growing white underbelly and purple scales. What used to be Carlo's legs lengthened, adding an additional two meters to it. He then saw the rest of his body, but as he looked at his right arm, he saw it glowing because of the bright blue, vein-like markings on his forearm.

"You gotta be kidding me," Carlo said, or at least tried to say, as his throat lost its capability to talk. He slowly crawled to the stream and looked at his reflection.

What he saw at the reflection astounded him.

At the reflection, a purple Snake is staring back, with yellow eyes and a flickering red tongue. When he opened his mouth, Crola saw his two sharp fangs.

Hold on, was his name Crola? That's the name of the snake at the snake in front of him. His name's Carlo.

Or was it? His thoughts conflicted with each other until someone tapped him on the shoulder. He looked and saw a white fox girl.

"Em, you startled me," Crola said.

Em smiled, "That's what you get for staring in the water for hours. What are you thinking about, anyway?"

"I'm thinking about how to know the world better."

Em laughed, "Isn't that the point of travelling?"

"Yeah, you're right." If Crola needs know the world better, he has to explore it.

"So, anyways, I'll go hunt our meal tonight," Em said.

"Yeah, see you," Crola replies. After Em disappeared, Crola brought out his notebook to write down today's happenings.
