Taken from the POVs of various characters from 'LATWTT', this piece is a bit darker, and follows what the one robbery changed. I think it might be a bit too dark, so if so, I would like to know.

There's always a villain to a story, always a loser to get the shit, always a person to take the fall. Its just the way things are. Some get the easy road, some get stuck with the hard one. Making the best out of a bad situation can't quite work all the time though.

Not every ending is happy.

Joshua Archer was a creative and talkative little gray rat boy, his blue eyes often glistened with his joy. His mother, Sarah Archer, was very quiet and peaceful, she didn't let people push her around and was very precautious. Her fur had a darker shade than her son's, and her eyes seemed faded yet wiser. Josh had tried to bargain with his mother about not using a hand me down costume this Halloween, but his attempts had all but succeeded. He groaned and pouted, as his mother calmly and patiently explained to him their predicament. "Joshua, I've told you once, and I'll tell you again; we don't NEED to get a new costume, your old reaper one still fits. Why waste opportunity?" She told him, her tone motherly, yet assertive. Knowing he couldn't argue with the word of the gospel, he sighed and prepared for his early trick or treating trip. Soon, he was outside and scouting the cul-de-sac for candy, as he did so, he soon saw an interesting sight. A worn, old red pickup truck was carrying an older kid. He seemed to be going to trick or treat too, why else would he wear a mask? Giving a friendly wave, he received a wave back. It was at this moment in time, that Joshua asked himself what seemed to have leapt out of the back of the truck. The truck hit a pothole, and a strange plastic bag leapt out. He was all alone at this point, and the sky was turning a sickly candy corn orange. He ran over, and scooped up the bag without a second thought, leaving it at the bottom of his candy bag. As he gathered up the candy from his neighbors, the little rat boy headed home, forgetting the little 'treasure' he picked up earlier. As the sky became a beautiful purple to black transition, he was soon heading home from a long walk to candy street with his mother. Sleepily he was tucked into his little race car bed, and it wasn't long before his mother emptied his bag. The shock that struck her when she saw the baggie, was one she never thought she would have.

The police were called shortly after on account of finding a bag of bullets in the bottom of a child's bag of candy. Paw prints were absent, aside from those of Joshua Archer and his mother, Sarah Archer. The owners were never found, but police say it may be related to the Halloween Heist. Eating one of what she thought was a candy her son had received on their trip, Ms. Archer had choked on what was a bullet from the bag. 'The bag had a tear in it, and we assume a melted chocolate covered it, and made it seem like a candy.' one officer theorized about the late Ms. Archer.

Janet Sage was a nice young beagle, she had recently become the CEO of a toy company. It was her dream to make children happy, and to bring smiles to the parents of them. She was very kind hearted, she couldn't even hurt a fly. It was a normal Saturday evening, the orange sky signaling the end of fall, a thing she adored. Fall was never really her favorite season, it was such a slow ride to the end of the year, besides, orange wasn't exactly a pretty colour in her eyes. Her hazel eyes radiating her relief to find the traffic in her area was light and easy to deal with. Today was finally the day she would have enough money to pay off her car loan. Who knows, maybe the line at the Wells Flamingo would be short too. When she got there, her hopes to get everything done in time to relax today were rising. That is, until she noticed a car pull up behind her's, she couldn't do anything about it before three young furs walked in with a large duffel bag and Halloween masks. At first, a gut feeling told her to just quietly leave, but it was too late. The one who she could only assume was the ringleader, motioned to the one with a parasite-like mask. "ALRIGHT! EVERYBODY HANDS ON YOUR HEADS, ON THE GROUND NOW! THIS IS A ROBBERY!" He screamed, the aggressive nature dripping from his words. Cowering in fear, she got down and held her paws over her head. Overhearing a loud yell from one of them, she flinched a bit. "NOW!" his voice a bit shaky. She couldn't see who it was, but it wasn't the one who ordered them all to get down. Suddenly, a cold metal barrel jabbed her in the back. "TRY ANYTHING AND YOU OR A HOSTAGE GETS IT!" The aggressive one shouted. She managed to squeak out a word, "P-Please..." She asked herself why this was happening to her, why she might die even though she was so nice, so kind. She shook, feeling her life flash before her. When suddenly, she felt the barrel leave her, it and the criminals had left. Watching in fear as they darted out the bank doors, and drove off tires screeching. Her money was no longer in the bank's possession, and she was scarred for the rest of her life.

When interviewed, Mrs. Sage was still in a state of shock, and required therapy. She provided little details of the robbery, and only managed to describe their voices and two species. A Grizzly Bear, and a Leopard. After the events, Mrs. Sage never was the same, she became reclusive and retired early, having only enough money to sustain herself with slight commodities.

A slow and average Halloween for officer Ralph Lopez, the usual calls came in like clockwork. A few rascals egging a house, teepee, silly string, etc. The Deer had put his hooves up on his desk as he slowly awaited his break. His near perfect antlers being admired in the meantime. He was as you would expect a police officer to look, a pretty average build, not a bodybuilder, but not pudgy either. Just enough to apprehend criminals with ease. A call rang in, Lopez had expected another egging report from an angry elder, but what shocked him was that it was a robbery in place. He leapt up with the others assigned to this call, and sped off, blaring the car siren. As the red and blue light contributed to illuminating the road, the twilight sky sported shades of purple and black. Getting to the scene just in time, Lopez watched the gang get into their vehicle and run off, keeping them tailed, he tried to stay on their trail. The chase eventually ended at a dirt road where Lopez stopped halfway off a ledge. The ledge lead into a downward slope to a old reservoir. Carefully trying to exit the car as safely as possible, his antler bumped the car roof and caused the car to fall, Lopez following. The other officers got there as his car hit the ground, a broken antler clunking against the concrete ground.

A funeral was held for officer Ralph Lopez, his work in the line of duty became his legend. His downfall was not only his antlers but also his choice to avoid precautions. The remaining officers found the vehicle abandoned and left to rot, already vandalized. It was presumably caused by the perpetrators, but theres no proof to that.

Alex Poston was a pristine white Polar Bear, he worked out, and lived alone in a nice apartment. He had a boring, but well paying job working as a bank teller. The sweet saturday smell of a weekend to be spent rolled in as it neared closing time. He expected to be ready to get everything done, and everything closed. What he had not expected, was the gang of young furs walking in wearing Halloween masks. Flexing a muscle, he uninterestedly asked them a question. "Hello, can I help you open an account, or do you already have one?" Turning his attention to the fur, he noticed the Halloween mask, and jokingly said, "A bit old to be trick or treating aren't ya' kid?" The masked fellow in front of him motioned to a partner. Cautiously, Alex glided his paw on the silent alarm, ready to trigger it. The partner screamed in a menacing voice about their plan to pull a robbery. That was all he needed to hear to know to trigger the alarm, quickly doing so, he was soon ordered to open the safe. Two cold metalic tubes pointed at his face, he swallowed hard and slowly opened the large metal safe door. Fearing that he could die today, he did nothing more than hold his paws up. He knew that he could take them down, but it would mean risking him and other furs getting shot. Soon after they realized the police were on their way, one cold clocked him with the hilt of their gun, and he fell to the floor. Hitting the floor caused him to sustain cranial damage, and amnesia for a month. Even after he healed, he still couldn't remember the events.

When entering the building, one of the officers noticed a teller bleeding a little on the floor. He suffered a slight concussion and was hospitalized immediately. After waking up, we discovered he had amnesia, and could not remember the events that occurred. The Halloween Heist continued to live on in infamy for a short time, and haunting those who had their lives changed by it.
