Chapter 21

Spec tried to turn his body but was pinned between Cindy and Luna. Between the warm weather and hot showers the pack decided it was too warm for clothing. He cuddled up with both of them, feeling their soft fur as he ran his hands over the curves of their bodies. Luna was the first of the ladies to wake up. She looked at her brother smacking her mouth open and closed.

"Isn't it a bit early to be feeling people up Spec?"

"That's rich coming from you Luna."

She smirked and rested her head on his chest again. The sudden movements started to wake Cindy.

"Good morning you two, what time is it?"

"It's a little after 7a.m. We should get ready to open up the store soon. What about you Sis, going to hang around today?"

"Not today brother. As much fun as I have with you two I have to get some actual work done today if I want to go out tonight with Scotty."

"You are really going to go through with it sis?"

"I don't see why not. We're both single and attractive. And he just smells so masculine, kind of like you brother."

"Please, I've got something else you can stroke besides my ego." He replied before he reached behind for a pillow to bap his sister with. She knocked it away and sat up to stretch her arms and back.

"Well either way I do have to go and get some work done."

The female wolf started dressing herself. She moaned a bit as she did not care for wearing the same cloths from the previous day, especially underwear. It was something the twins had in common.

"Spec, by chance do I have any clean underwear here?"

"No you don't. I'm pretty sure you took them all back with you last time."

"Guess I'll just have to shower when I get home after work."

She finished dressing and made her way to the door after double checking that she left nothing behind.

"Bye Cindy, later Spec. I'll see you both soon."

Cindy was at the check out counter trying to plan out a schedule for next week while Spec drank his coffee. Kit had shown up early again for work. She seemed agitated as all she said was a quick "Hello" before heading to the back to sort the new inventory.

"Does Kit seem not so cheerful today? I mean even less so then usual when she tries to talk to me?"

"She did seem angry about something. Do you think I should tell her about Angie to try and cheer her up?"

He watched the fox from a distance as he had more of his coffee.

"That's up to you but I'm giving her as much space as she wants today. Speaking of Angie, you should call her today so she can get ready to start Monday. Also remind her we have a dress code."

"Most of us just wear tee shirts and pants to work though."

"For Angie, that is a dress code."

Cindy shook her head thinking that Spec was over reacting again. She was almost finished with the schedule for next week when her thoughts were distracted by something.

"Do you think Luna and Scotty make a good couple?"

"I don't know Cindy. I mean Luna can be weird and some people are intimidated by her. On the other hand Scotty didn't run from her last night so that's signs of a potential relationship but I just don't know much about Scotty."

"He's a lot like you Spec; you just don't see it yet."

"Why do you keep saying that? Does he have a sister who has connections to a sexualized business that he also happens to sleep with from time to time?"

She remained silent as she continued to grin at him. It was putting him off as he drank more of his coffee.

"Wait, does he have those things? Well even if he does it's not like he's bisexual with equal preference to both sexes."

She continued to stare and smile making the wolf even more unnerved. His mind quickly thought of the most random thing he could think of to get reaction out of her.

"Okay but does he like giant robot models?"

She let a laugh escape through her nose as her smile grew wider then before. Spec took this as a sign to walk away and do something else.

"Okay, now I know you are just messing with me. There is no way we have that much in common."

"What ever helps you sleep at night Spec."

He raised his hand, about to speak an innuendo. He quickly changed his mind and went to find something to keep him occupied. He decided to check the basement again to make sure it was ready for Doc to start the remodel. As he went downstairs he kept thinking to himself "What if Luna likes Scotty because he reminds her of me?"

Luna sat at her desk, going over the recent photos she shot in Canada. She would occasionally scratch her chest and back as she felt gritty from wearing the same shirt from the previous day.

"I should have gone home and changed first. This is going to bug me all day."

As she looked for things to take her mind off her clothing situation she noticed her phone, remembering that she had gotten Scotty's number last night. She picked it up and started a text message.

"Hi Scotty; it's Luna. I had a fun time last night. I was wondering if you wanted to have dinner tonight, my treat. Let me know."

Content with her message, she went back to editing her photos. About forty five minutes later she received a response from Scotty, much to her delight.

"I had fun too. Dinner sounds nice. When and where should I meet you?"

She thought to herself about a good place to go. She also wanted enough time to go home and change.

"Meet me at Twilight books at 7:30pm. Wear a nice shirt and pants. See you tonight Scotty."

"That should give me enough time to think of a place and pick out an outfit." She thought to herself as she continued to edit, now with a wide smile on her face.

Spec yawned as he sat behind the check out counter. He would have rather been stocking books but Kit had finished the stack already.

"Spec, do you mind if I go home early today?"

"Sure thing Kit, but is everything okay? You seem upset about something."

"Just some personal stuff, I'd rather not talk about it."

"Okay, hope things work out for you. See you tomorrow."

Cindy walked up to Spec upon seeing Kit leave.

"What was that about?"

"Kit wasn't feeling well and asked if she could call it a day early. I told her it was fine since Jen is still here."

"Did she say what was wrong?"

"She said 'personal stuff'. I thought it was best not to dig deeper."

"That's probably for the best."

Their attention was drawn to the front door as they saw Scotty walk in wearing a dark red shirt and a nice pair of khakis. Spec lifted an eyebrow taken back a bit at how he looked but kept his thoughts to himself.

"Hey Scotty, are you here to see Cindy?"

"Hey Spec, I'm actually here to meet Luna. We are going out to dinner."

Spec tilted his head as he processed what Scotty just said. Before he could comment he heard the front door open again. Luna stepped in wearing a blue, around the neck strap dress. It accented her breast nicely as it showed the top of her cleavage. It matched the color of the choker she always wore.

"Hello Scotty, you look handsome."

Scotty looked her over when he realized she was a bit taller then last night. He noticed the black heels she wore that added a few inches to her height. Spec looked at his sister with a semi disapproving look.

"So Luna, where are you and Scotty headed to for dinner?"

"Hi Spec, we're actually going to go to that steak house you showed me. I liked the friend onion strips they serve there."

"Oh yeah, the Wood Fire Grill. Good prices too."

Luna took Scotty's arm and cuddled up against him.

"Come on Scotty, let's get going. I haven't eaten all day."

He nodded as he led Luna out the door. Spec watch for a few moments before nearly jumping over the check out counter. He was stopped by Cindy who some how held him back. He continued to struggle as Jen watched them.

"Do I want to know what he is doing Cindy?"

"Don't worry about him Jen. I assume he's upset his sister is going out with my cousin but I'm sure he'll get over it soon."

"The hell I will!" He said before finally calming down. Once she felt he had relaxed she finally let him go.

"What did you hope to accomplish by jumping over the check out counter?"

He looked off while thinking for a minute before turning to face her.

"Now that you mention it I'm not sure if I was trying to get at him or her. Hmm, now that I really think about it I don't know who I should be more concerned for. Oh well, guess I'll just sort it out when all is said and done. By the way, you never said if Scotty has a sister or not."

"Well as a matter of fact... No Spec, you aren't going to do anything with Scotty's sister."

"So he does have a sister..." he said with a grin. Cindy rolled her eyes and chuckled as she went back to stock books.

"Welcome to the Wood Fire Grill, do you have a reservation?"

"I do. It should be under Luna for two people."

"Ah yes, welcome back miss Luna. Right this way."

The red fox host shows the two of them to a table near the bar. They took their menus from the host after being seated. As soon as the waiter arrived she ordered bread rolls with butter and the spicy fried onion strip when asked if they wanted drinks and appetizers. It took her a minute to decide on drinks though.

"I think I will have a Mai Thai and ice water please."

The waiter nodded and turned to Scotty who was looking over the drink menu.

"I think I'd like to try the Mango Mojito and water."

With a nod the waiter went to put in their order. Luna opened her menu to decide what she wanted for dinner.

"If you would like something else for an appetizer go ahead and order it, dinner is on me tonight."

"Are you sure Luna? I don't want to"

"I'm sure Scotty. You can get me lunch or something next time but tonight it's on me." She interrupted him with a smile. He smiled in response but was still a bit uneasy by the situation. He wanted to be a gentleman but had a feeling Luna would not take no for an answer.

"Well for now I think I'll just have the appetizers you ordered and the drinks. See how things go from the main course and dessert."

"I was thinking we could go back to my place for dessert." She said with a grin as she ran her foot against Scotty's leg. It caught him off guard but he remained quiet as she stopped after seeing his expression.

"I'm sorry Scotty, I'm just used to being so forward with my brother and you remind me so much of him."

"I certainly hope that's a good thing."

She nodded as their drinks and appetizers arrived. Luna had a sip and took an onion strip. She nodded in approval.

"Are you ready to order or would you like a few more minutes?"

Luna looked to Scotty who opened his menu again to double check his order.

"I think I would like to have the rib eye cooked medium with the house salad and potato soup."

"I'll have the same please." She added as she handed the menu back to the waiter. Both took sips from their drink as a moment of silence passed.

"So what do you do for a living Luna?"

She grinned as she buttered a roll.

"I'm the lead photographer and editor for Wolf Pack magazine."

"Ha, that's funny. What do you really do?"

She held her grin as she took a bite from her roll. Scotty soon realized that she wasn't kidding.

"Oh... That must be an interesting line of work."

"Well I do get to meet a lot of beautiful and interesting people. What about you Scotty, what do you do for a living?"

"Well I run a B&B just outside of city. I also get to meet interesting people; especially if there is a convention in town."

"I bet you do."

"So, do you like photography or is it just a job?"

She perked up at the question. Scotty could barely see it but her tail was swaying from side to side, excited to answer.

"I love photography. My dad took courses in college and showed me a lot of tricks you can do with film. It's kind of sad everyone wants to go digital now. For work I do digital mostly but sometimes I'll do film for different effects. How about you, are you a fan of photography?"

Scotty blushed at the question. It was a bit of a turn on at how passionately she spoke about her trade. It had been awhile since anyone spoke to him in such a manner about the subject.

"I enjoy using film from time to time. Can't say it's often that I have a subject I can shoot though."

"Maybe you can shoot me sometime. I'm sure I have some 'toys' you'd enjoy playing with."

"You are forward, aren't you Luna?

She smiled as she sipped some ice water.

"Scotty my dear, I wouldn't have it any other way."

The rest of the evening was pleasant as the two ate while Luna spoke of Spec and Scotty of Cindy. Luna couldn't help but laugh as they drove back to Twilight books.

"Man, Cindy told me that you and Spec had a lot in common but this is too much."

"What's that suppose to mean?"

"Well I'll put it this way. Don't mention giant mechs or the Navy unless you don't mind him going on for hours. Here we are, just need to get my car from the book shop. My place isn't too far so you can just follow me."

Scotty followed Luna for ten minutes or so before she parked her car in an apartment complex lot. She entered Scotty's car again to show him where he could park. Before he knew it they entered her apartment.

"Make yourself at home. Do you have to be up early tomorrow? If not do you want me to make you a drink?"

"I don't but I'm fine with drinks. I'll just have some water."

Luna went to another room, leaving Scotty to search the apartment. On one of the shelves he found a Ballistic brand camera that used 35mm film. He looked it over in his hands admiring the nostalgic appeal.

"If you are nice I'll let you shoot me with that later."

Scotty jumped a bit as she surprised him. When he looked back she handed him a plate of key lime pie balanced on top of a glass of water.

"Cindy told me you loved key lime pie so I bought one on the way home after work."

"I do, thank you very much."

He took the plate and glass as he looked her over. She was now wearing her light blue robe and choker. She turned and made her way to the couch, taking a seat. She signaled for him to join by patting the spot next to her. He did so as he started into his slice. She followed at a slower pace. After a few bites, she sat her plate down and looked at Scotty who was finishing up.

"Do you want to have sex with me?"

He choked at the question. He reached for his water to have a drink and compose himself.

"What did you say?"

She grinned and leaned in closer after she was sure he would live.

"I said do you want to have sex with me?"

He swallowed hard as several thoughts raced through his head. She was hardly an inch away from him as he opened his mouth to answer.

"Yes, I do."

She smiled and sat back as she started to undo her robe.

"I was hoping you'd say yes."
