Nova Groaned as he heard his alarm go off signalling that it was time to wake up for school. He got up yawning and stretching out his black furred paws before grabbing his brush and starting to brush his blue fur while murring softly and giggling when he got to his white tummy fur. Finished up he got dressed and did his normal routines before leaving the house and now getting to his bus stop but noticing something was different. A new fur was there them being a grey furred wolf with a black hoodie and blue jeans on but before Nova could figure them out anymore, "Hey Nova! You there?" Aeon yelled out to the blue fox making Nova nearly jump out of his fur, Nova growled and shook his balled up paw at Aeon before yelling, "Aeon! What the heck is wrong with you?!" Aeon just rolled his eyes and crossed his arms, "What's wrong Nova? Did I interrupt you checking out the new guy?" Aeon asked before Nova turned away from the red panda his flushed face showing through his fur knowing his best friend was right. "No. I wasn't, I was just wondering who he was." Nova retaliated before turning back to Aeon. "And I was about to ask him his name till someone interrupted me!" Nova shouted at Aeon but he only giggled, the wolf's ears twitched listening to them as he chuckled, "Vexin" the wolf said to which both friends turned to him with questionable looks. "Huh?" Nova said but was quickly answered by him. "Vexin it's my name, Vex for short." Nova blushed slightly before nodding slowly noticing the bus coming he sighed in relief knowing he'd have some space between him and the new guy. The three furs got onto the bus, Nova sat down in the window seat about to put in his earbuds thinking Aeon will sit next to him but Vex sits down next to Nova before asking. "Is it ok if I sit here?" Nova looked at him before seeing Aeon smirk and sat behind them. "Um sure why not? I mean we do live near each other so I imagine we will become good mate... I mean friends hehe" Nova said before rubbing the back of his head, the wolf only chuckled and nodded. Nova sighed in relief as he was glad that Vex dropped the subject, he put his earbuds in wondering why he was getting so flustered by this wolf he just met but it made him smile and blush softly thinking about all the stories and animes that have someone falling in love with a random stranger within five minutes of meeting each other, wondering if this was going to happen to him.

It's been a week since that day and like the wolf and fox predicted they were close friends while Nova was secretly wishing that they could be more than just close friends. Vex and Nova were sitting at their usual spot during lunch where they ate and talked with their friends. "Can you believe it's been a week since the first day of school? It went by so fast!" Nova exclaimed before the rest of the group got there. Nova smiled, tail wagging as he waved to them, "Hey Gio, Hope, Ray, how have you guys been?" Gio sat next to Nova and poked at Nova's sensitive sides making him yelp and blush before he slapped the wolf's paw away, "What is it with you wolves and loving to mess with us foxes?" Nova asked as he then laughed at the hare getting rough housed by the dragon, "Ray just give in and she'll let you go!" Gio said before laughing along with the rest of the group until everyone settled down and Vex hugged Nova from behind and nuzzling into Nova's neck earning a loud murr while Nova wondered where these feelings Vex was showing came from but Hope interrupts his thoughts saying, "Seems like someone's in love!" Nova blushed harshly before blushing deeper feeling Vex give his cheek a lick and letting Nova go. "What? Us? I'd love to but I think Nova would die of happiness if I even asked!" Nova's ears lowered and he whimpered in embarrassment. "Aww look guy he's blushing!" Gio said before everyone joined in laughter. Before anyone could continue teasing Nova the bell rang and they waved goodbye before they all walked off.

Vex decided to walk Nova to class, Nova giggling and blushing the entire way before suddenly he tears up and whimpers as a coyote walked by them. Growling and glaring at Nova while he passed him, Vex noticed this and hugged Nova tight to him, "What's wrong Hun?" Vex asked but he already knew what was wrong as he asked Hope about Nova's ex. Nova didn't look up at him only saying, "That was Vlad... My Ex." Vex smiled and lifted Nova's chin up kissing him softly on the lips. "I'll never let anyone hurt you Nova." Nova murred from the kiss and hugged Vex tightly while they stayed in each other's arms but what Nova didn't know was that Vlad was glaring daggers at him while Vex did the same back to Vlad , Vex mouthing the words 'Keep moving' to Vlad before the coyote snorted and continued to walk. Out of nowhere Vex turned Nova around and saw his ex stomping away when Hope came out of a nearby hallway and slammed Vlad into the lockers and punching him so hard he fell to the ground before she continued to kick at Vlad while he was down, stopping to wave at Nova and Vex then rushing away, "D... Did you plan for that?" Nova questioned while Vex nodded reassuringly before nuzzling into Nova's neck again. "Just for you Hun." Nova's cheeks blushed brightly and he pulled away slowly, "We need to hurry or we'll be late for class..." Vex and Nova then rushed to class, luckily just getting there before the bell rang.

After school had ended that day Nova and Vex had rode the bus together like always Nova was cuddled into Vex, nuzzling his chest lovingly while listening to music. Aeon giggled and took pictures of the happy couple, planning to send them to Nova to tease him. When they had finally made it to their bus stop they off, but this time Vex decided to take Nova to his place. Nova was excited to be alone with his wolf for once, his tail wagging like the inner dog from his father's side being German Shepard. Vex noticed this and held Nova closer nuzzling the top of his head softly, "You're so adorable Nova... I can't believe you were single for so long." Vex said to his mate while Nova just blushed and leaned into his wolf's nuzzles. They got to Vex's house where Nova noticed that his parents weren't home, being led by Vex to where he can only assume was his room, "My parents are out on a business trip and won't be back till next week and I thought you might want to sleep with your wolfy and keep him company." Vex told Nova as they entered Vex's room, it was a slightly big room since he was an only child, there being a large bed and a computer desk with a laptop on top of it and his closet the left of his door if you were facing at it. Vex took his backpack off sitting it down on the chair in front of the computer before taking his usual black hoodie off along with his shirt revealing to Nova his well defined chest that the fox couldn't keep his eyes off of. Vex only smirked and chuckled walking to Nova as he too dropped his own bag, Vex pulling off Nova's shirt before leading him to the bed. Vex climbed into the large bed and patted the spot next to him, Nova happily accepted the invitation and climbed into bed with him cuddling into his lover's side and laying his head on his chest. Nova couldn't help but blush harshly while nuzzling the wolf's muscular chest making sure to memorize every detail of his gray furred chest, Nova being brought back to reality when Vex leaned down kissing the blue fox on top of his head making his blush deepen and ear's lower while Nova murred loudly it vibrating Vex's chest, "You know... Vex if this is what I have to look forward to when being with you then... I think I've found the one I want to be with for the rest of my life." Nova whispered to Vex before Vex started slowly and softly petting his fox of a mate. "I'm glad you think so Hun...Because there's nobody I'd rather be with then with my amazingly soft loving Foxy." Vex confessed which only made Nova blush deeper and cuddle more into his wolf's furry chest. "You think we can do this often Vex? Because I really like this... Us." Vex hummed softly and nodded to Nova, hugging him tight to himself. "Sure I don't see why not, I mean why wouldn't I want to hold my lover every day as we drift to sleep?" Vex asked while chuckling softly, Nova nodded in agreement and yawned softly before nuzzling his head into Vex's chest more, getting comfortable as he let his eyes flutter shut. "Good night Nova... I love you with all my heart." Nova licked affectionately at the wolf's chest. "I love you too... Vex..." the foxes tongue slowly stopped and he was fast asleep, Vex sighed happily before pulling the covers over the two of them and shuffling slightly in bed to get comfy before he too closed his eyes. Drifting slowly into slumber as his lover did before him, thoughts of them together filled his mind as he fell asleep.

Nova woke up that morning yawning and moving his paw up to softly caress the wolf's chest but he didn't feel anything. Opening his eyes he saw his wolf wasn't even there, Nova started to panic and got up while whining and looking around the room. He then noticed something oddly familiar about the room he was in, until he noticed where he was. "T... This is Vlad's room..." He said softly before hearing someone shouting in the other room, he slowly started walking over to the door noticing the voice, it was Vlad's. Nova stepped out into the living room seeing Vlad yelling at someone he couldn't believe he saw, it was himself Nova. "I gave you rules! I told you, you can't speak or be all gay when I'm with my friend's! You can't even follow simple directions!" Vlad yelled at Nova while he was on his knees crying into his paws, "Please Vlad it was an accident! Please just give me another chance!" Vlad growled and leaned down ripping off a heart shaped locket and backhanding Nova across the face causing more tears to form. "I gave you chances! And now I'm done with you! Get the heck out of my house! And you can expect those friends of mine to be seeing you to punish you for messing up!" Nova ran out of the house crying all the way, all Nova could do was watch, crying himself as he saw all this and put his paw up to his check remembering how much it hurt not only the slap but when Vlad broke his heart. Truthfully Nova was only with Vlad still because he was all he had left, back then Nova didn't have friend's or hope all he had was that relationship and even that was bad. Vlad turned and stared directly at Nova his yellow eyes fixated on him. They were filled with rage as he stormed over to Nova as he prepared to attack him, all Nova could do was hold his paws up and scream out. "Nooo!" Nova then felt familiar arms wrap around him and felt someone's muzzle nuzzle into his neck and lick at it affectionately. "Nova it's ok I'm right here Wolfy's got you... he's going to protect you" Vex told Nova softly, Nova opened his eyes noticing it was just a nightmare and he had been crying in his sleep as he could tell from the wet fur under his eyes. The fox turned and looked up at Vex before hugging him tightly, crying into his loving wolf while Vex softly petted and rubbed Nova's back. "What did he do to you...? How could he hurt you... I swear Nova... I won't ever hurt you... you won't ever be alone again Nova I promise." Nova sniffled and nodded slowly before looking up at Vex and lowering his ears smiling at him. "Thank you... Vex for being here for me..." Nova said softly before Vex held Nova's cheek softly rubbing it, leaning down and planting his lips on Nova's. "It's okay hun I know you've been through a lot... But I'll be here for you everyday from now on." Nova teared up not in sadness but in joy from Vex's comforting words, leaning up to kiss Vex back softly. "Vex I can't express how happy you make me... I love you so very much." Nova confessed to Vex before the wolf kissed his fox back. "And I you Nova... I love you my heart is yours."
