The war to remember chapter three
#3 of Wow
It's a ugly story,but I'm learning slowly
I began to open my eyes as my ears met the sound of rapid gun fire and multiple explosions.My arms was around shorty and his arms was around my stomach.He was scare,because he was shaking....alot.
I pet his head and looked at him, "Its okay".He responds with fear, "N-n-not really b-because there two hostiles closing in".I had a m9 Beretta between my stomach and pants, "Grab my gun".
He gently takes the m9 and switchs the safely off.He quickly sat up and took 5 shots.After he confirmed they were dead Shorty drops the gun in the sand and buried his face in my chest.
In the distance I see master sergeant limping over here,he doesn't look too good.He drops his m4 and takes off his helmet, "weell....them fuckers got me...".He looks at the two bodies behind me and looked at us, "Who killed them?".I look at shorty then at master sergeant, "Shorty did". Master sergeant looks at shorty with a shock face then recovers, "well I'll be damn...Good job Shorty".Shorty fell asleep in my arms during me and master sergeant talk.I slowly pick myself up not trying to wake up shorty,then took shorty into his bunk.
I couldn't sleep,because they put me on watch duty.I stayed in a tower with a saw.A young husky climbs up the tower, "oh...hello...they got you doing watch duty too?" I took a look then look back at the open hills, "Yes...my name is shadow.....what's yours?" He respond nervously, "M-my name is Blackout".I look back at him, "well Blackout since we got attack we better quit talking and stay frosty".Still nervous, "Y-yes sir!".After that I did a thousand yard stare.
At the tower their was no activity going on then I was replaced with a shit-for-brain kid.d.I search for master sergeant to discuss the mission that was delayed by the attack on base.I found master sergeant with shorty adjusting their gear.I approach them with a tight shirt with a m4 strap on me and a cap with a American flag on it, "Hey guys".Master sergeant looks at me while loading a magazine, "Hey shadow help shorty with sightings in his rifle".I look at shorty who seem to have trouble, "Hey shorty you okay?".He nods, "Yeah it's just this m4 thats bugging me".He looks at me then quickly looks back at the m4, I just smile and helped.On second thought....I still have to ask master sergeant about the mission.
