The Rise of the Silinde: Part 2 - A place to call home

Part 2 of the history of the Silinde

Warning: just like history classes this story will probably be boring to most people sorry but in order to understand the parts with Spyro you'll need some background info so bear with me.

To all you copy right people I'm getting my ideas from Spyro

But other than that enjoy

500 years before the birth of Spyro and Cynder

1 Month Later

Dragon Temple - Balcony - Early Morning

"Sir? Shouldn't you be resting?" Finrod asked still shaking sleep from his eyes.

"I'd like to but I can't shake a feeling that something bad is going to happen." Elegost said

"Last time you said that was 300 years before your brother betrayed us I think your sensing needs some practice." Finrod replied with a little smirk. Elegost chuckled a little.

"Yea I know but that was before I could read it better...this time I have a general idea on when it'll happen."

"When?"

"Oh...around 450 to 500 years from now." Finrod shook his head chuckling a little.

"Great we have around half a millennia to prepare." He started laughing along with Elegost.

Dragon Temple - Dojo - Morning

"Alright gentlemen with the exception of the dragon temple we have no home to speak of so if you have any ideas..." he trailed off

The other three captains sat thinking when Cirdan finally spoke. "If I remember correctly there's a mountain not 20 miles from here."

"Excellent well try there first was there any openings to the mountain?" Finrod asked.

"No"

"What do you mean no?"

"Just that no there aren't any openings to the mountain that what I was doing for the month...searching for a way inside."

"Damit Cirdan this isn't something to joke about!"

"It'll do." Elegost said walking in

"How sir unless there's something in the way of an opening how are we going to live there?"

"I think you've taken to many hits to the head Finrod."

"Sir?"

"If you can't find an opening make your own."

"I know that but how are we supposed to make our own entrance when we dont even have a pickaxe?"

"My my you have taken a few to many hits to the head have you already forgotten what brought with us?"

"What did we bring with us I remember you packing a blue gem with you but I just thought it was a good luck charm or something." Elrohir said with a raised eyebrow.

"I'll show you when we get there until then Cirdan show me this mountain."

30 minutes later - near the mountain

"See there it is." Cirdan said with pride.

"This is the mountain Cirdan?" Elegost said in a flat tone of voice.

"Yes it is sir."

"I'll take a look around you four stay here." Elegost said and walked of

1 hour later

"Where the hell is he?" Elerosse said losing patience.

"Where's who?" Elegost said popping out of thin air startling everyone.

"Damit Angrond stop doing that!" Elerosse said after jumping 2 feet in the air from a sitting position.

"Watch it Elerosse we dont need to be using his real name out in the open right now." Finrod said looking around.

"Its fine Finrod I really doubt my brother would be fooled by that trick any way."

"But sir-"

"I said its fine it doesn't matter anymore the only one we need to worry about is my brother. If you remember correctly even all of his 'elites' fell on my sword."

"Yyyeeeaaa about that."

"What about it?"

"How can they fall on you sword when it's made out of wood?"

"Maybe you would like to find out?" Angrond said with evil almost literally dripping off of it then what surprised all of them was you could see him opening his eyes but what made them turn pale was his iris was like a cats (you know the oval) except that is was turned at an angle forming a V and his pupil was red with black spots.

"N-n-n-no t-t-t-thanks i-i-im g-g-g-good." Finrod said barley able to speak.

"You sure I'll gladly so you?" Angrond said emitting a bit of terror energy (Kind of like fear but ALOT more powerful). Finrod just squirmed under the gaze till finally.

"Alright Angrond you've had your fun cut it out." Elerosse said.

"Oh fine." Angrond said pouting a little closing his eyes again. "But you have NO idea what it's like walking around with your eyes closed."

"I know but until we can get your eyes back to normal you're just going to have to deal with it."

"Yea yea." Angrond said still pouting. "I looked around the mountain myself and Cirdan is right there are no openings in this mountain nor are there any caverns in there."

"So now what are we going to have to look somewhere else?"

"No, on the contrary it's perfect."

"How?"

"Well with this." Angrond said pulling out a blue gemstone the same color as the portal that they came here with. "I told Anarane that if she saw a portal open to have the general castle builders and stoneworkers ready to enter and come here with a battalion of troops." with that he smashed it and scattered to powder and sudden a portal appeared.

"Now what?" Cirdan said.

"Now we wait."

They waited for 10 minutes before the portal closed and in the crater stood around 20 people. "Why does the portal always make such a huge hole in the ground?" Finrod Said

"I've been trying to tell the mages to fix that problem but apparently they've been too busy else were" Angrond said

By this time the men in the crater had climbed out and looking around in surprise at their surroundings

"Well what world have you brought us to this time Angrond?" A 6' 3" woman asked dusting herself off

"Ahh Anarane good to see you." Angrond said walking up to her and giving her a quick hug."

Anarane was a 6' 3" tall woman lightly tanned and despite her weak build she has been known to easily beat men three times her weight and strength, and she's about average when it comes to looks.

"Good to see you to Angrond, now about where we are?"

"We are in the dragon realms."

"The dragon realms? Why the hell would he come here?"

"I've been wondering the same thing."

"Well whatever what do want?"

"We found a place that might be suitable to live in."

"The mountain behind you?"

"Yes the reason I picked it isn't because it's empty or that it is a solid hunk of rock it's because I think there some very valuable metals in there."

"Ah well whatever your reason, let's get started men!"

"YES SIR!"
