#1 of A New School and New Start

Heya, these are the first two chapters of my story. It's about a person that moved and has to attend a new school and suffer "being the new kid" again. Luckily, he meets a few people that make school a bit "easier." Please tell me what you guys think. Anything will help. My contact info is in my bio.

Chapter one

I groaned and opened my eyes to the sound of my alarm clock blaring. "It can't be time to get up already," I said in a whiney voice. I had only gotten a few hours of sleep last night due to today being the first day at my new school and because I have an overactive imagination that sometimes runs wild with handsome wolfs and feisty foxes, but enough about that. I shook my head as last night's escapades ran through my mind then quickly got dressed and headed downstairs. I was not quite awake yet, so I almost missed the note on the fridge that was pinned down by a black magnet. It read, "I had to leave for work early. I'm really sorry, and I know that today is your first day of school; but I promise that I will make it up to you. -Love, mom." It was hard raising a child as a single mother with no one to help you, and on top of that, moving to a new place because of your job. I loved my mom dearly and tried to make life easier for her any way that I could, but sometimes I couldn't do anything to help. It just wasn't fair to her that my dad left before I was born, and that we had to drop everything and move to a new state because of her job. I sighed and ran my hands through my hair. Oh well, just a great way to start off the school year I guess. I ate breakfast and then checked myself in the mirror one more time to make sure that I didn't look stupid on my first day of school. My hair needed combing, but that was normal. To be honest, I looked pretty average. There wasn't anything very striking or pronounced about me except for my color. I had snow white fur and dark green eyes with flecks of gold that was uncommon with wolves, but not really all that rare. I was an average height with a slightly more muscular build than most people. I did have one ear pierced, but all I had was a silver ring that looked pretty cool, I guess. Satisfied that I didn't look horrible, I left the house and headed towards the school.

Chapter two

As I left the house and walked down the sidewalk, I put my headphones on and started listening to my music. As I was walking to school, I started to daydream about the school's soccer team that I was going to join. My daydreaming combined with my loud music caused me not to notice the dog about my age walking in front of me. I accidentally ran into him, knocking him down on the ground. "Oh crap! I'm sorry," I said as I knelt down on the ground and offered my paw to help him up. "It's fine," he said as he grabbed my paw and stood up. It was at this point when I actually started to pay attention to his looks. He was a little shorter and skinnier than me with dark brown hair, light brown fur and hazel eyes. It looked like he was a sprinter because of his lean muscular build. All in all, he looked pretty handsome. I scratched the back of my head with an embarrassed look on my face. "I tend to zone out a bit and I wasn't watching where I was going." He smiled at me and replied, "You're good, man." He offered his hand out for me to shake. "My name is Tyler. What's yours?" "Wally," I replied. "Hey, aren't you the new kid that moved from Georgia?" he asked. "Yeah" I replied," was my accent that pronounced?" "Nah," he said. "Our soccer coach said that we'd be getting a new player from a different state and you're walking in the direction of the school with a sports bag, so I put two and two together." "Ahh, that makes sense," I replied. "Oh," he said, with a slight grin, "and you have a southern accent."
