Zach woke up in his small bed the light from the new day almost blinding him as Nik opened up the curtains. Zach tried to cover himself with the blankets but Nik pulled them off too. Zack pulled himself out of bed stretching out and yawning as he looked up at the large dark blue furred fox. Zach got up and walked over and dressed looking at himself in the mirror. His marking and white fur still looked the same and so did he. All but his eye that now showed pain and sorrow from the pain of losing everything.
Eight months had passed since that day when he arrived on that rainy night and met Tamati. Tamati was a tall black nine talked fox that was kind but a little strange at times. After the attack on the car and two hours of trying to convince him he was from the past Tamati had taken Zach to the only person he could think of. That was Nik or Sonic Fox as he was called by most people. Nik was once a fur that traveled through time and space to fight some organization. Zach remembered that night above all he arrived more than any other since he arrived.
8 Months ago...
"So Zach you're really from the past?" asked Tamati

Nik started to lead Zach off and as they walked Zach saw something on stage and he looked closer. He saw six fur's striping and throwing there close to the crowed. He blushed and said "Oh my."
Nik stopped and looked at him then said "What's wrong."

Zach started to take his armor off and as he did he said "So you know about the markings then?"
Nik turned and pulled his shirt up showing Zach the tattoo of a moon and sun with a wolf's head and fox head on his back. He put his shirt back down then said "I have traveled far and wide learning all I could about markings and power. Your story is one of my favorites."
Zach pulled off his chain mail and his undershirt and showed Nik the markings on his chest. "I was born with them but they grew larger when I was in training."
Nik looked at them and said "Well now I believe you. No other fur since you has had the markings of the Reaper. Well not many wolves had been able to pass the powers and markings on since you."
"So how much do you know about them?"
"I know a lot like I said. Your past is not very easy to learn either. The king of your time took over most of the world and him and his family held that power for a long time. It wasn't until two hundred years ago that the power was lost and the world was split back into different areas again. It all started when you vanished. No one knew what happened to you but when you did go a new war started and the king started to take over." Said Nik
"King Esper was able to do that?"
Nik laughed and said "King Esper no...I'm talking about the one who took over for him when he was killed, King Savage. One of the most evil spell casters to live. But I really shouldn't tell you to much or I may end up messing up the past. But if you're here at least now I know what happened to you."
Zach looked down at the floor and said "This is all just too much. How can history be changed so easily by one Fur."
"I used to ask myself that when I was younger. I wonder why I was the one to have to fight and be hunted all the time. But I let things run their course and it all got better. Why don't you tell me your story Zach I would be happy to hear it." said Nik

Nik found that he liked Zach and his tale of war and power. Out of any one he could understand how he felt. The more he listened to him the more he wanted to know.
"That's about it." said Zach "But can you tell me something what is up with your markings I thought only Wolves had them."
Nik giggled and said "In your dimension yes but I'm not from this world Zach my people all have some kind of marking it's really nothing. I do get some power from them but I would have to show you later."

"That was Tamati and he said that the man who has been working on the time travel thing is ready for you."
Zach felt a little strange about leaving but he knew that he wasn't from this time. He couldn't stay and he knew it but the thought of going back to the pain and fighting scared the living shit out of him. But at the same time the thought of going back made is markings tingle with excitement. He looked at Nik and he could see the look of sadness in his face too. Zach knew that he would be sad if he left, no one else was so much like him.
"I guess I have to go." Said Zach
"You don't have to." Said Nik
"I do have to go. I'm not from this time and with me being gone the time line could be messed up. From what you have told me I'm sure that King Esper wanted me gone or dead so he could take over. From what I am hearing Savage will end up taking over for a long time and that can't happen." Said Zach walking into his room to get his armor
They soon left for the city on Nik's car. They didn't talk much as they drove but the trip didn't take too long and soon they were at Dr. Richman's office. Zach left his armor packed in a back pack that he has over his shoulder. On his hips was Viento, his cloths were old looking and perfect for going back to the past. Dr. Richman met them at the door. He was a young looking ringtail that loved to tell jokes and got on the silly side. This was only a cover because he was one of the most intelligent furs in the world. Or so Zach had been told by Tamati and Nik.
They walked into the big build and then the big lab. Tamati was there waiting for them. He waved and walked over to them and said "Man I feel like shit. Well next time I want to drink and fuck all night I'm going to think twice. So Zachy you ready for this."
Nik walked up to him an punched Tam then said "You ass next time you get drunk pay more attention to your mate and not the dancers from the club."
"I do but you helped her out last night didn't you?" said Tam with a smile
"We both did and for crying out loud Tam you want her to marry you right then you need to be with her and only her. She is not just some fuck buddy you stay with." Said Nik
"I'm sorry mate, I didn't mean to." Said Tamati looking sad for once
"Think next time ok that is all I ask." Said Nik
Zach walked up to them then and helped Tamati up "Hey man, I'm going to miss you."
"Same her mate, you are a great buddy you know that. I only wish you could come to my wedding. Whenever that will be."
"I wish I could to but I can't stay here to much longer." Said Zach hugging his friend
"I know."
Dr. Richman walked up to them then and said in a slightly high voice "Well Zach I have always wanted to meet someone like you and I'm happy I did. But as you said time can't me messed with so I'm happy to say that the device I made wont mess with time to much. It work off of our friend Nik here. His power to go from world to world can be transferred to a time portal." He then pulled up out something that looked like a shiny vest.
Nik walked up to him and said "So this thing will make my portals go back in time?"
"No it will send Zach here back to the time when he is supposed to be. Eight months after he was sent here. It's not perfect but it will do. The one down side is that the portal will be very unstable so when we do this Nik you will have to stay back a bit. That way you won't get sucked it with Zach. There is no return if you do end up going."
"I have to be within ten matters of my portal to keep it open so you will have to give me something to hold on too." Said Nik taking the vest and putting it on
Everything seemed to be going so fast and Zach was not liking it one bit but what could he do. Richman went over how everything would work then took down notes on Zach. He wanted to know as much about Zach as he could before sending him home. Then he had Zach wait next to some place and then had Nik get ready.
Tamati walked up and said "Zach I know we won't ever see each other again so I just want to say stay safe." Then he hugged him
Tamati had to walk away quickly before he started to cry then Nik did the same he walked over to Zach and said "I'm really going to miss you. I never thought I would meet someone that was so like me. Please don't get yourself killed."
Nik moved forward and hugged Zach and then it happened. The power outlets that were strapped to the vest sparked and right then Zach's Markings glowed bright and he transformed. But it was different than before because he didn't have the feeling to kill. He did feel power building up inside of him and at the same time he saw Nik's tattoos starting to glow.
"Nik get away from him now." Yelled Tamati but it was to late
A large blue portal opened up right next to Zach and Nik. They only had a second to scream out and see the faces of Dr. Richman and Tamati before the portal started to suck. With in seconds they had been pulled in and it shut tight leaving Tamati and Dr. Richman alone.
"What happened?" Yelled Tamati
"I don't know." Was all the doctor could say
Did you know that traveling in an unstable time portal is quiet painful. Well Zach and Nik didn't know themselves but they soon found out as they bright blue light almost blinded them. Their bodies felt like they were on fire and then it all stopped and they both landed hard on the grass covered ground.
Nik pulled himself up and helped Zach to do the same. Zach was still in his dark form but changing back slowly. Nik looked at him then said "What in god's name happened?"
Zach took a moment to concentrate so he could change back to normal then he said "I have no idea but that vest did something to make my markings come alive and in return my markings set off your power."
Nik was about to respond when out of nowhere ten wolves came out of the trees holding bows and arrows. They looked at the two and one said "Look what we have here a couple of Hybrids. You are in our land so I hope you have a good reason for being here."
Nik looked at Zach as he said "Nik this isn't good..."
Well here it is and I'm sorry it took so long and isn't up to my normal standards but I have been stuck with Writers block and playing to many games. I finally took the time to finish it up and now thank god I'm done. I will try to get more out faster from now on. Thanks for Reading
