#15 of Love for the Birds

And another twist in the ever-growing story.

Nestor has Justin brought to his cottage personally so that he may deal with the rebellious blue jay himself. What will happen and will the outcome fit for everyone?

Read on and find out!

A New Side

Justin woke the next morning before his overzealous hawk friend.

Sky, thankfully, was not a fan of snuggling after sex. He lay faced away from Justin while the other men slept around them.

Justin sat up in the center of plush, scented pillows, blankets and naked bird men then carefully, quietly crawled away without disturbing anyone.

Lee laid on one of the beds. The rattlesnake was not a homosexual or even bi-curious like his dear friend, Javin. He let them have their fun while he slept at a respectable distance. The rattlesnake did like to sleep in the nude, however.

Justin saw the naked serpent sleeping soundly, his scales which had been damaged during his self-imposed exile. He shook the snake so he would wake up.

Lee had always been a light sleeper, so it wasn't hard. He woke and his fangs briefly flared out before he saw it was Justin. "Oh, it's you, Justin."

The jay bird held a finger to his beak while he crouched by the snake.

Lee was confused, then noticed that Justin was still naked, "Uh... I think I've already said I'm not interested in that stuff."

Justin smirked playfully at his friend before getting serious, "It's not about that... There's something strange about these warriors here. They are so eager to help us overthrow Nestor, like no questions, no thought about consequences. They just want this."

Lee nodded, "You're saying we shouldn't trust our friends there?"

Justin leaned in closer, "I'm saying we should keep an eye on them, especially Sky while we're here."

Lee agreed, "Alright... Now will you get dressed? Your birdy dick's starting to slip out."

Justin noticed then laughed, "I think you should just take that as a compliment, Lee."

Suddenly, the double doors slammed open as several armed guards, all ones loyal to Nestor, came into Sky's house.

"Everyone! Get up and throw your hands over your heads now!" The captain of the guard shouted.

Justin and Lee both complied quickly.

Sky and his group woke from the loud slamming.

The hawk saw his superior, a fierce and highly respect horned owl. He threw his arms up out of respect for his captain.

Each of his fellow defectors followed his example except one.

A young osprey didn't want to surrender, "Come on, this is what we're fighting isn't it?" He stood up in defiance. "Captain Coram... I will not stand down! I and my companions will not be oppressed by you and your filthy whoring ways!"

Sky tried to silence his young friend.

Coram squinted his large eyes at the youth who looked like he'd hadn't even turned 18. "You are unwise to stay standing, boy." He gave a gesture to one of his soldiers.

He stepped forward.

The osprey rose his scaly arms to defend himself, talons extended. He charged the soldier and received a hard thwack to his beak by the guard's staff.

The soldier immediately apprehended the osprey and tied his arms behind his back before climbing off.

The osprey still was too stupid and zealous to surrender peacefully. "No!" He threw the guard and he kicked the soldier, giving him a deep cut to his side with the talons on his right foot.

Captain Coram then had no choice. He told another soldier, "Show no mercy."

This one had a spear. He pointedly, but reluctantly raised his spear, "Stand down, soldier! Your commanding officer has ordered you to stand down!"

"Never!" The osprey shouted with the other soldier's blood still on his talons while the soldier clutched his lacerated side. The osprey turned intending to slash his throat and end the warrior's life in defiance.

The other guard then had no other option, "You brought this on yourself..." He ran up behind the osprey quickly.

The young raptor only had a chance to turn before he felt the spear pierce his side. "Aah!" He screamed as he was penetrated.

The guard who had run him through grunted, "I am sorry, brother... But you forced my hand." He was not his brother by blood, the village's warriors were always taught to love one another like brothers. Being forced to kill one of his own brothers hurt this particular guard. He withdrew the spear.

The osprey fell to his knees holding his gut before he saw the spear coming toward him. He felt it stab through his heart, and then he knew no more pain.

The guard spoke a silent prayer for his fallen brother before pushing the dead osprey off of his spear.

Sky looked in despair as his youngest companion had been killed before his eyes. The 19 year-old spoke, "What will you say to his mother, Captain?"

Captain Coram shook his head at this further insolence, "His mother will be informed truthfully of everything that has happened and she will understand our brother had no choice but to end his life. You will show him respect by not dishonoring yourselves any further!" The owl even felt this was a pointless death, "We were not even here to arrest you... Nestor has sent us here for him." He pointed to Justin, "So your friend just died for nothing."

Sky couldn't argue then. He lowered his head in shame.

The guard who had executed the osprey helped the wounded soldier to his feet and escorted him out while another approached Justin.

The blue jay had been under Coram's command before, he had years of respect for the wise old captain. He let himself be taken out by the guard.

Coram watched as one of his favorite trainees was led out.

Justin had to say something, "Noctis Coram... Let me just say, it is good you are still here."

The owl showed no emotion, but he nodded as he watched the blue jay be taken out of here. The owl was bisexual like most of the other males in this community and even a seasoned veteran like him had to admit that Justin had a cute sway in his walk.

...

Nestor stepped out of his cottage as he heard an uproar begin to rise outside.

All the villagers watched the procession of warriors leading Justin through the center to the village square. The blue jay was still naked, he hadn't been given a chance to get dressed.

Most of the crowd began to jeer at him, some even threw garbage at him, remembering the crimes he'd been accused of.

All the warriors put an immediate stop to this as they were in the line of fire as well.

People still cursed him and wished death on him.

Nestor crossed his arms as the disgraced ex-warrior was led through the square. He saw in the distance, a wounded bird being led to the medicine bird's cottage.

Justin took all the insults, he'd enjoyed a life outside of here, now he could endure their harsh words with a tougher skin than he'd had before. He looked up into the unreadable expression of his traitorous chief.

The blue jay was made to stand at the center of the square while insults were still hurled at him.

Nestor entered the square, when the yelling hadn't stopped he rose his wings and shouted, "Silence! All of you remain silent!"

That shut them all up.

Nestor looked at everyone sternly to see if someone still had something to say. Then, he turned to Justin. He was impressed. He knew the bird would likely survive away from here, but he hadn't thought Justin would still be so perfectly fit. And he'd been sent to live with the Fuchses, they never let their prey go.

Nestor stepped closer to the bird who'd always defied him. Then, before everyone, the eagle lurched forward and drew the blue jay into his broad chest, embracing the smaller male tightly.

Everyone, including Justin, was shocked when the chief did this, seemingly forgiving Justin for all of his past transgressions.

Justin put his arms around the eagle's neck and Nestor preened his neck making the blue jay shiver from the sudden contact.

Nestor whispered, "Are you as tired of all this bullshit as I am?"

Justin was tired, "I am... Nestor."

The eagle then lifted Justin up, like he would have a bride, or a child, he turned then walked back toward his cottage.

Now the crowd did not know what to say, it appeared that Nestor had accepted Justin back into their community.

Caryn, who was one of the many watching, ran home to inform her husband.

Orion had been feeding Ruby and caring for his new egg.

Caryn came in to their home, "Orion!"

He looked up, "Yes, Caryn?"

She smiled, "You are not going to believe this."

...

Nestor carried Justin into his private bedroom where no one, not even his guard dared to enter. This would give them the perfect privacy they would need.

Justin was still confused that his enemy was now being so kind all of a sudden.

Nestor laid Justin on his bed, then promptly disrobed himself.

Justin watched his chief strip before him.

Nestor saw him looking then even shamelessly posed for the warrior, "I remember you used to look at me when we were in training together, Justin."

Justin did, but that was all before he even realized he liked males.

The eagle climbed into bed with Justin, "I can't say enough in words how happy I am that you're back... And I know it sounds strange of me to say that... But..." He let his proud exterior fall away, "I am... Miserable. I've lost everything that was important to me... Almost everything and I did it all to myself. I sent my father to his death, along with many other warriors who I had trained with, who I grew up with, including you. My queen left me because I neglected her for another. And the mate I chose, my own mentor, my Feroz..." He broke into tears before Justin.

Justin felt pity for the eagle. He petted the sobbing chieftain, "I had heard what happened to Feroz and I am sorry. But then, I've also heard what you did to Maureen."

Nestor sniffed, "It was not an intended effect. I did not mean for her to be hurt. She... She is important to our community. She is the symbol of our generosity, of our hospitality to those in need and the people love her. And I know I've said cruel things of her before."

Justin was still suspicious, "What is all this change in attitude?"

Nestor sighed, "I thought I knew... I thought I was smarter and I could just be a better chief by giving the people riches and prosperity... And I wanted most of those riches for myself. And do you see out there? We have prospered... Our village has grown, we have reptile families now living in our borders. I achieved all of this and yet... I realize I am not smarter. I pushed the only one who ever loved me into killing himself..."

Justin heard everything he had to say, "So what are you saying? You want to just stop being the chief?"

Nestor sighed, then nodded, "I did not deserve this seat... This house... I did not earn this. I stole it from the mammals who gave us their money." He put his head on Justin's lap.

Justin held the chief as he laid there, "Then, who would you crown chief if not yourself?"

Nestor sighed, "I do not know."

...

In Kali's cottage, immodest moans could be heard, even by those passing by outside.

Maureen gasped as the young stoat bred with her.

Alice lay beside the pine marten while Irving mated her, about to breed his fourth consecutive cub into Maureen.

Kali sat at the foot of the bed, being bred by Javin while she watched Irving breed with her musteline wife.

The cobra nibbled on the jay female's neck as he made love to her, while Irving did the same for Maureen, nipping her throat possessively.

Alice nibbled her mate's neck at the same time to firmly remind him she was letting him have other females, but he would always be hers.

Irving's balls jumped up and he erupted inside Maureen, sending his seed in to find an egg and make a kit in her.

Maureen climaxed with him as she could feel her fever was already going away now that her body was being satisfied properly by another weasel's semen.

Alice held her mate's balls while they twitched as he left his mark in Maureen.

Javin and Kali's moans could be heard then as the both of them climaxed together as the bird felt his hot snake semen flood her.

At right about now was when Orion came in, "Kali!"

The cardinal had been overjoyed to hear his best friend had returned. He came into Kali's home with his heart racing. Without thinking, he came into the bedroom to stumble upon the little group session Kali and Maureen were having. Orion blushed and felt his pants grow tighter as soon as he saw all the naked bodies, "Oh shit..."

Kali unceremoniously dismounted Javin allowing his plugs to stuff up her slit. Those always felt uncomfortable, Justin's seed never did that in her. She covered herself before she ran to get Orion who seemed like he was about to pass out.

The cardinal let himself be seated, "Caryn came home, she told me Justin had come back... I ran right over to tell you."

Kali pecked her friend on his cheek, "She is right and I've seen Justin. He is well. He's staying with that hawk, Sky."

Orion shook his head, "No... Nestor has him."

Kali felt her temper hit the roof, "WHAT?!"

...

Nestor nuzzled Justin as the two just laid together as new allies.

Justin had never thought this would happen.

Nestor raised his head then when he noticed the jay's slit had opened and he saw a sliver of pink. "Laying with your chief is arousing you isn't it, Justin?"

Justin laughed, "I guess I have a weakness for muscles." He traced the eagle's pectoral muscles with his claws.

"I have not had another in my bed since Feroz died... It is strange to have you here by my side, but it also feels right." He preened Justin, licking the warrior's neck.

Justin let his former enemy bathe him in gentle kisses, wanting to feel Nestor's warmth. Justin rolled to face Nestor and the two birds joined beaks in a loving kiss neither thought would have ever happened, not between them.

Nestor missed this. He missed having a lover, he missed being loved just for being himself and not because he was the chief.

Justin had thought he would have this moment with Kali when he came home to her, but here with Nestor seemed more like, this is what fate demanded.

Nestor broke the kiss, "Have you seen my son?"

Justin shook his head, "Have you seen mine?"

Nestor nodded, "Justin Jr is going to be a handsome, strong fighter like his father." He pecked Justin gently, "I want you to meet my son." He got up, tying a simple loincloth to his waist to make himself somewhat decent. He gave Justin one of his own.

The blue jay had to tie it tighter since he was still smaller than Nestor.

Nestor then eagerly led Justin into the nursery where his son slept.

The young eaglet looked peaceful where he was.

Nestor watched as Justin leaned over and carefully petted the sleeping eaglet. "I had... Originally named him Trantor... Now I realize that was a foolish name. He should have a good name, one he can carry with pride. So... I named him Feroz."

Justin smiled, "After your mate..."

Nestor nodded, "A more fierce and competent bird than I ever was... Thus his name." He looked at his sleeping son, "And I hope... When he grows up... He'll be a better leader than I ever thought I could be."

The pair of proud fathers stood there side by side in silence before Nestor cleared his throat, "I will... arrange a meeting with the elders and you may bring in people of your choosing. We can settle our disagreements civilly." He preened Justin until their beaks crossed and the dads kissed again.

Outside, Kali stomped up to the cottage in a fury, "Where's Nestor? What's he done to my husband now?"

The two males broke their kiss when they heard Justin's wife screaming from the front porch.

Nestor grinned, "We'd better go out there before Kali puts my guards in the infirmary."

Justin cocked a brow at him, "Together? Naked for the world to see?"

Nestor chuckled, "Like I'd give a fuck what the villagers think of their queer chief."

...

"Where is my Justin?" Kali shouted more as villagers watched her, surrounded by her friends standing in front of Nestor's cottage before two falcon guards who were sweating bullets before the furious huntress.

"Your husband is right here, Kali." Nestor declared as both he and Justin exited the cottage side by side both clad in only loincloths.

Kali looked at the both of them. It didn't take her long to realize what was going on, "Uh... Were you two just fucking?"

Justin laughed nervously, "Not necessarily, but someone here dragged me out of bed, threw me into his bed, then got in with me because he likes naked man snuggles." He looked at Nestor.

Nestor chuckled, "As soon as I'd heard Justin was back, I had to see him again. And see him I did. You have a well-hung husband here, Kali."

Justin laughed again, "Isn't he just precious?"

Kali looked between them, "What... What the fuck is going on here?"

Nestor spoke up, "Your husband and I had just had a civil discussion about everything that has been happening and I am ready to listen to all your demands so we can make the necessary changes. I am hoping that we can be civil."

Kali still found this strange, "It's just weird..."

Justin held her hands and he kissed her, "I know this is strange, Kali. But it's true. Nestor is gathering the council for a meeting and he has asked me to select people I trust to accompany me. I know first, I want you, Kali." He touched his beak to hers.

Kali smiled at that thought, "But females are never allowed in council."

Justin shook his head, "You and I both know you are better than a lot of the hens here, Kali. You've taken down predators twice your size. You're a mightier warrior than me and I'm proud to have you as my wife."

That brought Kali to tears as she embraced her husband tightly, "Thank you... I love you, Justin."

Justin broke the passionate hug to see his dearest and best friend staring at him, "Orion."

The cardinal was just happy to see his friend again and hear his voice, "Yes, Justin?"

Justin took his warrior brother in his arms and embraced him as only he would, again displaying his open sexuality for his fellow male as he nuzzled the blushing cardinal, "Will you stand with me at council again, brother?"

Orion looked to Caryn.

Apparently, she didn't mind when it was another male making advances on her husband, she found it kinda sexy actually to see a different side to the bird she'd married.

Orion smiled as tears filled his eyes too, "I will stand with you anywhere, Justin."

Justin nodded then he turned to his traveling companions and to Maureen, "We've always only had birds at our meetings. I trust you three each with my life. I would be happy to have you with me."

Both Alice and Irving jumped at the task.

Maureen wanted to, "But, who's gonna watch the children?"

Justin had a solution for that, "Sky!"

The hawk was there too, "Yes, Justin?"

The blue jay grinned, "I'll want you with us at council, we do need another warrior's perspective on this. And do you think your friends won't mind being made egg-sitters for the day?"

Sky puffed his plumage proudly to be included as an adult for once, "I will be proud to stand with you, Justin! And my friends will gladly watch over your child and Maureen's while we are away."

Each of the remaining five looked at each other while one asked, "We will?"

Then Justin saw the tall cobra standing among his friends, "And I assume you are Javin."

The cobra nodded, "I am."

Justin proudly shook the hand of the serpent who took care of his wives while he was away. "I would like you to join our council too."

Javin's hood spread out as he filled with pride, "Oh, I will gladly."

Justin turned to Nestor, "Then it's settled, I have my council already. You get the elders and we will have our meeting, Nestor."

Chief Nestor chuckled at the blue jay's quick thinking, "You are a shrewd one, Justin."

Justin playfully poked his new friend in the ribs, "It takes one to know one, Nestor."

The eagle swallowed his pride, "Yes..."

...

It wasn't but minutes later that the group had convened in the new town hall.

The council of twelve elder birds who each earned their place through years of proud service as warriors sat around a great fire with Nestor and the shaman at the front.

Justin and his group came in and they chose seats around the fire.

The elders all looked at the diverse group joining them, most seemed interested, others had to voice their opinions on the mammals and the reptile.

An old pigeon spoke, "We have never had mammals or serpents in our council before, not to mention females." He looked upon Alice and Maureen especially. The dirty old pervert seemed mesmerized by their breasts, hidden behind a shirt and shawl respectively.

A council bird beside him shook the pigeon.

He shook his head, "Urgh! Right! Well, if these people have so earned their rights to sit with us, then I am interested in hearing what they have to say."

Nestor spoke, "Justin! You are the main reason we are here. I grant you permission to have the first words."

Justin nodded, "Council members, I am sure many of you remember me. It has been months since the last time I stood with you wise elders, since we also lost our Chief Gregor."

One council member spoke, "So Gregor is dead?"

Orion spoke, "I saw him myself. He died with the wolf chief, both tragic victims in a misguided attack orchestrated by our Nestor." He glared at the eagle not about to let the chief forget what had happened.

The elders spoke among each other before the pigeon said, "This is a serious allegation you place on Nestor, Orion."

The eagle sighed, "And unfortunately, my councilmen... What Orion says is true. I did not earn my seat here as your chief. I stole it by murdering my father the best way I could think of. I, my cousin, Vera, and my lover, Feroz, we planned this. I had one of our scouts murder his companion and then say that it was the wolves."

The elders all rose their heads in shock as the once proud eagle confessed to them.

Nestor continued, "Then, I convinced Father to send me. I went with Vera and Feroz. We killed the wolf tribe's prince with our arrows so the wolves would want to fight us." He put his hand on the eyepatch he wore and he took it off to show everyone the vacant socket that sat there now.

Irving saw and had to hold his gut.

Nestor threw the rag into the fire before speaking, "To further convince my Father and our people of the wolf tribe's treachery... We mutilated our own bodies. Vera cut off her own hand, Feroz slashed his own throat and took away his voice, then I took out my own eye, because injuries can buy sympathy."

The elders all looked at each other.

Nestor kept talking, "Then, as your new chief, I was able to implement my changes. I brought prostitution to our community so the mammals would bring their gold. It was a selfish plan, I wanted the gold for myself... Then I saw the good it was doing for our community. You all have seen what my lie has brought us. We have prospered, our village has grown, we are not just a bird village, but now a town of reptiles and mammals as well. And when Justin first came to me and disputed my plan... I did the worst injustice to our tribe when I murdered his wolf friend, accused him of attempting my own murder and then I cast him from our society."

Nestor sniffed as he had to place his hands on the ground to hold himself up, "Now, I am alone. My Feroz is dead, I've hurt our dear Maureen who sits with us right now, I have only my son."

The old sparrow, one of Nestor's most loyal supporters, now had to speak, "Nestor! Do you realize that now you have exposed your dishonesty, you can no longer sit as our chief?"

Nestor nodded, "I understand."

The sparrow was in disbelief, "Gregor was my dearest friend. I've owed my life to him, I've supported my friend's murderer this whole time!"

Nestor sighed sadly and nodded.

The pigeon spoke his piece, "Nestor, you will be treated no differently from the rest! You have confessed crimes most drastic and most unbecoming of this council! In all my years... We've never had to punish a leader. You will be punished!"

Kali was in complete disbelief at all that had transpired. She'd truly expected Nestor to attempt to cover himself, but he had just said everything.

Sky was in disbelief as well. He knew what Nestor had done was wrong, but he had no idea how deep it went.

Nestor removed his headdress and he wiped off his tribal markings which had denoted him as chief of this village, "I am fully prepared to face any punishment the council will have for me. If I am put to death, I accept my fate."

One old falcon spoke, "Your crimes are dire and any citizen would have certainly faced death for this, but you are beloved, you are a chief, the people will not understand."

The sparrow spoke, "We will not execute you... But you will face recompense for your crimes, Nestor. Then we must elect a new chief since the family line is now broken."

Nestor nodded, "That won't be necessary, I want my final, good decision as chief to be in choosing a good chief to take my place." He turned to Justin, "Justin, will you-"

Justin shook his head, "As much an honor as it would be, I already have my own duties as a husband and father, duties which I have been able to attend to due to my absence. But, I agree, we should select a chief."

Sky sat up, fully expecting to be chosen.

Justin sat up straight and looked at each of the elders, then to each of his friends, and finally to Javin. "Javin, I've only known you for a little while, but from what I hear, the people here are enamored with you."

Nestor saw where he was going, "They are. I have seen how they flock to you, Javin. You have taught our people how to farm. You have taught us how to build our better homes. You have taught us all how to be more self-sufficient so we need not focus all our energy on gathering riches from travelers. Javin... Do you accept?"

The cobra was totally surprised to have been selected.

The elders were all shocked as well but many were in agreement. They had seen the good changes that Javin had brought, but there had never been a non-avian chief. Some disagreed, not so eager to give the seat to a reptile, but the votes of those for greatly outnumbered those against.

The sparrow who served as head councilman, "Then it is decided. Javin, tonight you will be crowned by ceremony as our new chief and Nestor, we will not put you to death, but we will punish you severely so you will bear the scars of your transgressions."

Then it was decided.

Meanwhile, a disappointed Sky sat among them, seething as the others cheered for Javin.
