Stitch and Reuben, Ohana. Maybe even more... (Part 1)
#1 of Stitch
This is part one of the story. Reuben is very lonely and needs someone to play with. He goes to Stitch's house to play with him, but finds something more...
Reuben, aka 625, was home alone. He could do anything he wanted. But he couldn't think of anything. Gantu has been refusing to get sandwich supplies, and they didn't have cable, or internet. So Reuben sat alone on the cold steal couch. He wanted to be having fun with somebody. Gantu always rejects him. Reuben was so lonely, Gantu never let Reuben play or eat with or even cook with anyone else. Reuben had pretty much never had fun before. He's been desiring to have fun for his whole life. But the chance never came. Suddenly he realized, he had a chance, right now! He had always been afraid Gantu would catch him, but he is on a 3 day trip with his boss, this was a golden opportunity! Then he suddenly remembered, he had no one to do anything with. Everyone he has met hates him just because he lives with Gantu. It wasn't fair.
"I can be nice..." He thought. But he just needed someone to give him a chance. So definitely not a human, they would run away before he even got a chance. He needed an experiment to hang with, but which one would give him a chance? Which one would understand that he really isn't that bad? He suddenly thought of one. The best of the best! The first of all of us to turn good! He needed... 626.
Stitch was home alone as well. Everyone had left to go to some family time thing, Pliklie and Jumba really wanted to go too, so Nani said only if they shut up the whole time. They all left. Stitch was watching TV when he heard a knock at the door. He opened it and saw Reuben standing there.
"He he... Hey there, cousin!" Said Reuben. Stitch growled. "Oh now don't be like that... I just want to spend some time with my favorite cousin, that's all!" Stitch looked at him with one of those "Oh please" faces. "I'm all alone right now, and I want someone to spend time with... and when have I ever hurt you? Gantu is the one who does all of that! So... please let me in? I have some fun activities planned..." Stitch sighed and moved over a bit to let Reuben in. Reuben burst with joy and ran in to the house.
"This is such a nice place!" Reuben sat on the couch and watched the cartoons put on. "Way better than the ship! We don't even have cable!" Stitch and Reuben sat watching the cartoons for a good hour or so, Stitch had even made them popcorn. Reuben was so happy, this was the first time anyone had ever made him food, when he is the one who usually makes the food for everyone else! This was the best day of his life! After Stitch has had enough cartoons, he asked Reuben what else he wanted to do. Reuben didn't know of anything else that would be fun. Stitch thought for a moment, and suddenly had an idea! Stitch ran over to a closet full of a bunch of boxes with colorful pictures on them.
"What are these?" Reuben asked.
"They are called board games. You play with the pieces inside when your bored or the electricity goes out" Stitch replied. He opened a box with the name of "Monopoly" on it. Though it was an odd name, the pieces inside were so colorful! The papers, the houses, the board, he even loved the tokens! He was so exited to play! While Stitch set up everything, he thought to himself. At first, he thought Reuben was up to something, and using himself as bait to turn Stitch in to Gantu. But know, he's not so sure. This is the happiest he has ever seen of Reuben, and he is clearly not faking. They played 3 rounds of Monopoly, Reuben just couldn't get enough of it! When Stitch was getting ready for the net round, the phone rang.
"Hello?" Said Stitch as he picked up the house phone.
"Stitch, its Nani. We are totally lost. Looks like we are going to stay in this motel nearby. Luckily the family reunion is a 2 day thing, so we wont miss it. You gonna be fine?" Asked Nani.
"Yah, that's fine. I've been having a lot of fun!" Said Stitch. He could hear Nani telling everyone to be quiet.
"What? Oh! Well that's good! Well its getting late, head off to bed! Good night!" Said Nani.
"Good night!" Replied Stich. Lilo got the phone.
"Good night Stitch! I love you!" Said Lilo.
"Love you too!" Replied Stitch. Reuben sighed. It must be nice having people to care for you, he thought. Stitch hung up.
"I have to go to sleep, you should get going, but today was fun with you, cousin!" Said Stitch. Reuben blushed.
"I don't want to go back to that cold old ship, I want to stay the night here!" Said Reuben. Stitch was a bit suspicious. But after the fun day they had together, he actually trusted Reuben.
"Of course you can stay. You are Ohana to me." Said Stitch.
"Ohana?" Asked Reuben. "What's that?"
"Ohana. Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind, or forgotten." Explained Stitch with a smile. Reuben blushed. Is this what its like to have someone care about you?, he thought. Stitch really was Ohana, maybe even more... Reuben's face was bright pink.
"Are you ok?" Asked Stitch.
"I'm more than ok." Replied Reuben. Stitch smiled at him.
"Come on, ill show you were you are going to sleep." Said Stitch as they walked towards Stitches room.
