It had been about a week since Blaze and Midnight had saved Starlah from the assassination attempt and even with such a short time of knowing each other, they had already established a good friendship, with a few benefits, of course. Taking Blaze's dream to mind, they had bought an office to open up their own detective agency, where Starlah brought in customers, Midnight handled the economy and Blaze stood for solving and cooking for them.

Either way, it was a rainy day and Midnight sat with the latest economy report as Starlah came back from another gig at one of the nightclubs, "Good afternoon, miss Midnight. I guess no work came in for Blaze?" Midnight smiled, "Good afternoon to you as well, Starlah. And yes, Blaze got no work today. She did seem a bit sad from it. Like we did not get the word out enough about ourselves." Starlah took a seat at the desk before nodding, "It is really a bummer. She looked forward to it and she is not getting anything to do."

Blaze had heard it all from the kitchen and soon came out with three plates of fries, oven-baked salmon with dill and cold sauce, handing one to each of them, "Yeah. I wish every night for someone to burst through the door and say they need our help." As if on cue, the door suddenly opened after a knock, as a young collie girl stood in the doorway, "Excuse me, is this the detective agency Sergal Tails?" Blaze gave a soft smile, "Yes, you have come to the right place, miss. What can we help you with?" The collie girl smiled, "Oh, thank goodness. I do not know how many times I knocked on doors and asked if I was at the right place. I got a tiny case for you, if you do not mind."

Blaze nodded before Midnight spoke up, "Of course, lassie. What is it you need our help with?" The collie girl took a seat and sighed, "My brother went missing after a trip we made to the house of parliament. The bobby are too occupied with some case involving an assassination attempt gone wrong." Starlah shivered as the collie girl continued, "So I am asking of you, please. Find my brother and return him home. I already had my share of regret after the yelling I got from my parents and my older sister." Midnight nodded as Blaze placed a hand on her shoulder, "We'll accept your case, miss. Do not worry about the need to pay. We got a very good agreement that won't force you to mortgage your entire house, maybe just half of it." Blaze winked to show that she was just joking, making the collie giggle before she bowed, "Thank you so much. I live at 7 Harberts Rd in Harlow. Please, find him." Blaze nodded before getting up, "Of course, miss. Just head home and we will have your brother back at home in no time."

After the collie had left, Starlah waved off Blaze and Midnight as both of them walked out the door and Midnight was quickly making her way over to the car standing parked outside, the door opening by itself and both took their seats as the ignition turned on and the engine revved up while the polite male AI spoke to them, "Good afternoon, miss Rose and Burn. Where are we going today?" Blaze smiled, "We got a case involving a male collie gone missing. From what the client told us, he disappeared near the houses of parliament. Think you can drive us there?" The male AI responded in a calm, but rather cocky way, "What you take me for, a toaster?" Blaze knew that Midnight had updated the AIs with a new comedian software, making them capable of making jokes. The car was soon accelerating down the road, heading towards the river Thames.

As the brakes gently screeched upon slowing the tires near Great George Street, they found themselves standing parked near the Big Ben, Blaze's eyes widening in amazement, "Wow, I always admired it in photos, but seeing it in front of me is another thing." Midnight gave her a soft giggle before nodding, "Sounds a bit like you are needing to get more used to sights here in London. Either way, lets focus on the case." Blaze nodded and stepped out of the car, looking around, "According to her information, we are looking for a twelve year old. Eric, can you scan all the security cameras around in the area? If you find a possible lead, then inform us." The AI voiced an acceptance before Midnight and Blaze walked towards the gate to the house of parliament. Blaze looked at one of the guards outside and bowed, "Excuse me, but have you seen a collie boy around here? Around his early teens? Yesterday to be exact?" One of the guards looked at her, "I have. He came here with a very nice collie girl. The boy ran off into the Parliament Square, and after that we didn't see him anymore."

Blaze was happy for the lead and was just about to hug the guard, when she was pushed back, "Sorry, but no hugs." Blaze just nodded, "Okay, but thanks for your help." The guard bowed before Blaze noticed that Midnight had already walked over to the square to check it out. Walking over to one of the Churston Winchill statue, Blaze took a good look at it before saluting, making Midnight actually smile at the sign of respect before they looked around for any trace, finding no lead at all. Slowly looking over the entire square, it was soon near the Manson Neldela statue where Blaze noticed a pair of pants laying behind the statue's feet. Quickly grabbing a hold of them, Blaze realized that it was not going to be a wonderful sight, "They are torn. Someone must have grabbed him and took him with them. And from the looks of it, we might need to contact the hospital." Just then, Midnight's watch began to speak, "Miss Rose, miss Burn. I have found a collie boy being forced into a building near Storey's Gate, in height with the Broad Sanctuary about 3pm yesterday."

There was no time to lose, Blaze and Midnight could hear the engine revving up as they ran for the Broad Sanctuary, a few blocks away. As it was not a long distance away, they arrived only three-four minutes later and with the guidance of the car, they quickly found the building and ran inside. Quickly looking around, they were sniffing for any traces of someone being there. It was a short moment after checking the stalls in the toilets when they made the gruesome discovery. Bound and gagged with only a shirt on, the young collie boy sat with his legs spreads on top of the toilet, his entire body covered in cum and urine, but also his rectum being swollen as cum was leaking out of him. Blaze was quick to cut the bindings off him before removing the gag, making the boy quickly get up and hug to Blaze, "Please... just help me to get out of here." Blaze felt her heart sink before lowering herself down to hug him, not caring about what he was covered in, "Your sister sent us to find you. You are Sean Harford, right?" The boy nodded before Midnight told Blaze that she was getting something, only to return a few minutes later with a pair of new pants, the boy quickly pulling them on before Blaze and Midnight brought him out and over to the car, "Lets take you home."

The ride back home took a bit longer though as Blaze and Midnight stopped at a police station quickly to report and also to give them a few samples to trace the criminal or criminals. They explained the importance to the boy, who whimpered when they tried to retrieve as much samples as possible. Once they were done, they resumed the drive back home to him and the whole drive back, Blaze had the boy sitting in her lap, crying against her as she sighed, "Poor kid. I feel really bad for him." Midnight couldn't agree more with her as she took the final turn into Harberts Rd.

Giving the door a light knock, it was not long before it opened and an elderly collie stood with a shocked expression, "Sean! You are back! Are you okay?" Blaze let the boy go before looking at the elderly collie, "He was found bound and gagged in a toilet stall. We suspect that he was raped by someone. We already contacted the police and left samples. They will trace them down." The elderly collie was soon joined by the rest of the family, all hugging the young boy as Midnight and Blaze both smiled, "And consider this to be free of charge. It would not feel right to charge for something that might have emotionally scarred him." The collie family bowed, "Thank you both. You are truly the best." Blaze and Midnight smiled warmly before the boy looked at Midnight, "Miss, are you supposed to have a red dot on your forehead?"

Blaze looked at the dot before a gunshot was heard and Midnight yelped in pain as a bullet struck her forehead and sent Midnight to the ground, blood seeping out of a bullet hole. This caused Blaze to scream in fear and quickly pick up Midnight into her arms, "Oh no... someone call the ambulance!" Blaze began to hyperventilate as she slapped on Midnight's cheeks, "Midnight, do not die! Please, do not give up!" Blaze's eyes began to water up before she growled and screamed out loudly before shouting to the collie that had rushed inside, "Tell them that I will meet them up!" She quickly described the look of the car before throwing herself into the car with Midnight close to her, only having one thing on her mind, "Eric! Locate every ambulance currently on duty! And drive towards it, if it is coming our way! Now!" The AI quickly revved up the engine and burned out from the parking lot, heading towards the ambulance that had been dispatched to their location, while Blaze were holding Midnight close to her, "Please... do not die on me, Midnight!"

Four-hundred yards away from their location, the male fox looked through his scope at the scene and nodded to himself, "With that target out of the way, I can focus on my job. No worries, Rebecca, I will not have them hurt you." And with those words, he stood up and packed away his rifle as the wind blew in his face, while he opened up a locket with a photo of five friends, one of them being him, sitting and laughing together as a tear ran down from his eyes, "I will protect my friends." With the final light of day slowly dying off, he returned to the shadows once more.

The End.
