Freezing
Unexpected surprise.
It's freezing, as usual, when I come home.
They keep us working far longer than they should and I am exhausted.
When I get home and climb into bed there's someone already there.
Greffel hops up, wagging. "Good evening!"
"What?" I stare at him.
"Good evening! Good evening. I'm supposed to tell you this, and also this."
Greffel stands up and licks my face from top to bottom. Then he says, "they sent me for you.@
I stare at him. "Why?"
He laughs. "Because you were freezing, of course."
