#26 of The Amazing Race 2

On the last leg of the Amazing Race, the remaining four teams traveled to Memphis, Tennessee and got a taste of the music there. After the twins struggles with the raft challenge, and some encouragement from Kit, the fraternity brothers scored first, while the twins were eliminated. Only three teams remain. Which will complete the last set of challenges first and finally claim the one million dollars? Find out right here on part two of the grand finale of... the Amazing Race.

"Welcome to my private plane," Toner says, "currently, three teams are on board to Ottawa, Canada for the last leg of the race. Once they get there, it's going to be a tough day for them. Today, someone finally takes home the million. Who will it be? The fraternity brothers?" He motions to Jasper & Mitch.

"I can't believe it! We're heading to the finale in first place!" Jasper cheers.

"I know! I kinda feel bad for Kit & Kitty though, we left them behind," Mitch says. "And now, we're all alone."

"Don't worry. As long as we stay one step ahead of the other two teams we'll be fine. Next thing you know, we'll be rich, man!" Jasper pats his friend on the back. Toner walks into coach where the others are.

"Will it the Olympians?" He asks.

"Pffft. Those others teams might as well save their energy. There's no way they're going to win," Tammy says. "Not when they're up against me!"

"Evil craziness aside," Rachel interrupts, "I think we have a good chance of winning. But I feel as if most of the time on the race has been... extreme to put it in nice words."

"Rachel, what was the name of your father's sickness?"

"What are you talking about?" Rachel starts to sweat nervously.

"You know, the real reason you came on the show. You needed the money because the treatment's expensive. Think about it, a million dollars could save his life. The things I did were not only selfish, but they were to help you get to the final three."

"Tammy, there could've been other ways to approach that situation," Rachel says. Tammy stand her ground and doesn't move. Eventually, her partner speaks again. "I'll tell you what, I'll pretend that none of that stuff happened on one condition."

"What?"

"You don't sabotage anything, and I mean anything on this leg of the race. If we're gonna win that money, we're gonna win it fair and square. Deal?"

"Fine." The two shake paws. Toner walks to the back row.

"Or will it be the Policefurs?" He asks.

"I swear I'm gonna get that bitch out of it's the last thing I do," DeeDee says. "She's been here way too long. Time to get her out."

"I know," Diesel says. "What she did to the twins yesterday was plain cold. And it doesn't help we're starting in last place currently."

"I wouldn't sweat it. All teams usually travel together. It's when we land that our placing really counts." At 6:07 pm, the plane lands in Ottawa. The sun just begins to dip below the horizon. The three remaining teams race to the clue box to see what they have to do next.

"It's a One-Way," Jasper says, "time to feel like you're on top of the world." For this One-Way task, teams must get in taxis and drive to Place de Ville, where they then must climb all 29 flights of stairs of the third tower to get the next clue.

"Let's do this!" Mitch says. The teams quickly get in nearby taxis (for once, all separate) and start driving towards the towers.

"Why did I let you drive?" Rachel asks.

"Because I'm actually trying to go fast," Tammy says. Her foot stays on the accelerator. "What? You have a problem with it?"

"No. It's just I'm pretty sure they invented these things called Speed Limits to prevent car crashes or something."

"You're just mad you had your license revoked."

"It was one DUI, sheesh! And I wasn't even going that fast."

"Are we ever going to get out of last?" DeeDee asks. Diesel took the wheel.

"I'm not sure," he says, "but I do know that if we stay in last for long, we're going to eventually get cut from the race."

"We can't have that!" DeeDee slams her fist on the dashboard as she says that. "If those Olympians win, I'm gonna peel my eyes out! Plus, I will not let them have the satisfaction of beating us!"

"Dude! I think that's it!" Mitch points to a large blue tower that tower than those around it. He looks at the map again to double check.

"Alright! First place, here we come!" Jasper says. He parks outside the building. The two tumble out of the vehicle and head inside to start climbing the stairs.

"How many flights of stairs are there again?"

"Twenty-nine."

"Oh. Doesn't seem too bad." As the frat bros continue to climb, the Olympians leap into the picture. Once they park outside, they start climbing too.

"Awesome! We're still in second place!" Rachel says.

"Second won't win us the million," Tammy says. "How are we going to come in first if the frat bros won't. Slow. Down!!??"

"Just keep climbing, crazy." Soon, the Policefurs show up. When they start climbing the steps, they go as fast as they can to catch up.

"Hurry up! In case you didn't know, we're in last!" DeeDee says.

"I'm well aware of that, woman!" Diesel says. "Besides, I'm right behind you!"

"Hold up, I think I can hear the Olympians a few floors up."

"Second in the building; but first to get to the last challenge and first to win the million!" Tammy cheers. Jasper & Mitch make it to the top floor. They see three clues and three keys hanging down from the ceiling. Jasper grabs one of each and reads the clue.

"Route Info: take this key, on foot, to the midpoint checkpoint at the Bank of Canada." You heard that right; teams must take the key and clue back downstairs and to the Bank of Canada, two blocks away. Only the first two teams may continue to the last challenge. If they're the last there, they're done. Cut. From. The. Race.

"To the bank!" Mitch shouts. The two boys head back downstairs, tasting victory. They pass the Olympians on the 20th floor and the Policefurs on the 16th. When Tammy & Rachel get there, they quickly read the clue and head back down.

"Bank of Canada, hurry!" Tammy yells. Diesel & DeeDee pass them on the stairs (in which Tammy trips DeeDee as they do) and they eventually make it to the top floor.

"Last team there is doomed." Diesel says. The Policefurs run back down the stairs to catch up. The frat bros make it back to ground level after a few minutes and they run for it. They turn right at Queens onto Kent Street and then left onto Laurier Avenue West.

"There's Toner!" Jasper points ahead of him.

"Final two, man!" Mitch says. Toner stands by the Bank with the rug right at the front doors. The run up and quickly step on it.

"Jasper & Mitch, you're the first to arrive," Toner says. The boys give him a tight hug. "Can't! Breathe!"

"Oops. Sorry, man," Jasper says as they let go. Toner gets his lugs full again and he takes the clue from the boys.

"I'm fine. You're last challenge is in that clue box." He points just inside the front doors.

"What's the key for?" Mitch asks.

"You'll find out," Toner says a bit teasingly. Jasper & Mitch head inside and they find the clue box. Mitch presses the button this time, anxious to get started.

"One-Way: use the key to search the deposit boxes to find that last clue of the season."

"Let's do this," Jasper says.

The Olympians make it to the street a full minute ahead of the Policefurs. "The Bank's just around the corner," Tammy says.

"We're not gonna make it in time!" Diesel says.

"Oh yes we will!" DeeDee says. She picks up her partner and runs faster. When they turn onto Kent, they see Tammy & Rachel just ahead. "Hey losers!!! Prepare to go down!!!" They turn around to see the Policefurs catching up.

"AHHH!!!! Here they come!" Rachel says.

"Oh no they don't!" Tammy says. They try to pick up the pace but DeeDee runs faster. Tammy finds a stray shoe on the ground and picks it up. She hurls it as hard as she can it DeeDee, knocking her and Diesel to the ground.

"Hey!" DeeDee shouts.

"See you in last place!" Tammy yells. Something in DeeDee snaps like a twig. She gets up and runs like hell towards Tammy, completely forgetting about the competition. All she can focus on is the red skunk who just knock her down. When she reaches them, she grabs Tammy and keeps running.

"Put me down, bitch!" Tammy says.

"Ok," DeeDee says. She holds her up high and throws her hard on the ground. The impacts takes all of the breath out of Tammy's lungs. Pain consumes her legs and head. She looks down to see her right foot pointing the wrong way.

"My ankle! It's broken!" Tammy shouts. The Policefurs pass them without speaking. She turns to Rachel. "Carry me! It's our only hope!" Rachel starts to reach out, but hesitates and eventually puts her paws on her sides.

"No," she says.

"What?! What do you mean 'no'?!" Tammy yells.

"You went back on your promise. So, I'm not gonna help you." Rachel crosses her arms to prove her point.

"You need that money for your dad! Pick! Me! UUUUUP!!!!"

"I can win that money elsewhere. I'm done working with a backstabbing cheater. When we get home, I better never see you again." Tammy channels her anger to get up. Her wraps an arms around Rachel's shoulders and limps towards the Bank.

"We! Need! To move!" She shouts.

"Tammy?" Rachel says.

"What?!?!?!?!?!"

"It's too late." Rachel points 200 feet ahead of them where Diesel & DeeDee stand on the rug and get the next clue. Toner slowly walk over to them.

"Well, well, well. Tammy & Rachel, it took me a long time to say this but you're in last, so, you are out!" Toner says, rubbing it in. Tammy goes over and punches him in the gut. Toner doubles over and onto the ground. Tammy, despite her broken foot, rips a blue mailbox out of the ground and hurls it at Rachel and Toner, pissed at them both. She yells at the top of lungs and gets ready to throw another.

"Security!" Toner yells. Tammy throws a newspaper stand at them both before Toner's guards comes in and grabs both of her arms.

"You're gonna regret this, Toner!" Tammy yells as she's carried away. Rachel gets up and walks right behind them.

"All you had to do was not cheat for once and I would've helped you out," Rachel says.

"Whatever. All of a sudden, I'm feeling... woozy," Tammy says. Her head spins at the aftermath of using adrenaline.

"Overall, I kinda had fun during this whole race," Rachel says.

"I think that this race was a waste of my time," Tammy says. "I mean, thirty fucking days of traveling the world and for what? Nothing. Absolutely... nothing!!"

"I wouldn't say nothing. We got to see all kinds of places we wouldn't normally see. I'm definitely going back to Egypt and Paris sometime soon."

"I don't want to go anywhere for the rest of my life. If you ask me, the world's already fucked up with this show around."

"Yeah, right. Let's just go home and forget this ever happened."

***

With the Olympians out, the frat bros and Policefurs compete in the last challenge for the final clue. "Man, we've tried over fifteen boxes already!" Jasper says. "How are we supposed to know which one this key even opens?"

"We're gonna have to keep trying," Mitch. Diesel & DeeDee come in for the next challenge.

"You gotta be kidding me!" DeeDee says. "You're telling me that this key could open any one of these?!"

"What happened to Tammy & Rachel?" Jasper asks.

"Bit the dust," DeeDee says, "and it was about time too." Diesel's already trying the key on several different boxes. Mitch takes his key and puts it in more keyholes too. Both come up short. Jasper takes it and tried a couple in the corner they haven't tried yet. DeeDee uses her key on some towards the ceiling because of her height.

"This isn't working," Diesel says, "there has to be some way of finding out which box this key opens."

"I'm open to hear your suggestions," DeeDee says as she tries it on another box. Nothing. Diesel takes the key and tries it on the bottom left corner box and hears a click. The box opens to reveal a gold clue and a rolled up scroll.

"Yes!" Diesel shouts. He takes out the clue as DeeDee unrolls the paper to find a map of the city.

"Hello map to the finish line," DeeDee says. "What does the clue say?"

"Final Route Info: use this map to find the finish line at the..."

***

"... University of Ottawa," Toner says. "After they're done at the Bank, teams must race here to this local college using only a map and their wits. First team to step on the final rug will win $1,000,000!" The audience in the nearby bleachers cheer. "What you just heard was the eliminated 16 teams. Please welcome back Joy & Pain, the siblings."

"I hope the frat bros win," Joy says.

"I want Diesel & DeeDee to win, because unlike you, sis, they're actually awesome!" Pain says.

"You wish!" What's sad is that this is actually an improvement since London. Next is Jared & Cynthia, the coyotes.

"Who are you rooting for?" Jared asks.

"I'm not sure," Cynthia says, "they're both pretty good players. What about you?"

"The same." Paul & Phil, the yiff stars.

"How did a couple of porn stars not make it to the finale?" Paul asks.

"Not sure," Phil says, "that's the same question for how the hippies and psycho cops made it to the end."

"I would've loved the massage challenge in Fiji."

"You want one right now?"

"Sure." Phil gets behind Paul and runs his shoulders. Boomer & Joe, teacher and student.

"After the race was over for us, I had to explain to my parents why I was dating my teacher," Joe says. "I told them that's he's a very nice guy."

"It took a little while but now his parents love me," Boomer says. "It's like I'm one of the family, now."

"That you are." Joe kisses Boomer on the cheek. Shelly & Fran, the bus drivers.

"I can't believe we lost the race over some fat guy who doesn't know how to run," Shelly says. "And if you want more proof, I've seen the India episode."

"Shelly wasn't too happy when we got home," Fran says, "but she's not angry anymore. She's just a little jealous we didn't make it to the finale."

"We would've rocked this finale. Not only that, but most of the challenges too." Amy & Hector, the porn directors.

"When we got home, we were pretty upset," Amy says, "but our friends Jasper & Mitch are in the final two so of course we're rooting for them."

"I've never really spoken to either of them much but I do think they're pretty cool. Besides, thanks to the race, I've got a girlfriend," Hector says, leaning over and kissing Amy. Maxwell & Richard, mall hooker and customer.

"When we got eliminated, I quit my job as a hooker," Maxwell says. "As for why, here's my reason." He holds up his left paw and a ring is seen on his finger.

"I just love him so much," Richard says. "I've been wanting to do that sooner, but I've been too scared to."

"Awwww, well you didn't have to be scared." Maxwell kisses Richard. Griffin & Zander, the co-workers.

"I was a bit bummed when we got eliminated," Griffin says. "However, thanks to my being bummed out, I managed to gain 30 pounds."

"I've never seen him that happy in his life," Zander says. "Plus, we got to have a little 'fun' with those we were eliminated with." He giggles a little bit. Speaking of which, Vince & Sam, the cruise directors.

"We saw what happened in India," Vince says, "and let me just say... I'm so relieved that Tammy is out."

"It was about time," Sam says, "those two have had it coming since the beginning of the race."

"Yep. As for right now, I'm not sure who to root for. They were both good during this game."

"I still think DeeDee is a loop-de-loop if you know what I mean." Milon & Zax, Arcadia workers.

"I was pretty pissed when we were cut 9th place," Zax says, "Tammy, not only caused our elimination, she caused a lot of them."

"And that's just cold," Milon says, "but at least she was eliminated and we no longer have to worry about her. Right now, I think that Jasper & Mitch have a good shot of winning."

"Same here." Zoe & Patricia, the book publishers.

"I want Diesel & DeeDee to win," Zoe says firmly.

"Zoe still has a personal vendetta against the frat bros over one little thing that didn't even cause us to get eliminated," Patricia says. "If you ask me, I'm fine with either team winning. We saw who caused our actual elimination. Now that she's out, I'm actually happy."

"Still don't care," Zoe says again. Becky & KiKi, the mountain climbers.

"I'm still pissed at Tammy," Becky says, "but as for who wins, I'm rooting for Jasper & Mitch, of course."

"I'm right there beside you," KiKi says. "They played a pretty awesome game. Best of all, they stayed calm and cool throughout the entire race." Miles & Joey, the vegetarians.

"We were so sad when we got cut," Joey says, "but our superteammates actually made it pretty far together. As I'm sure you might guess, I'm rooting for Jasper & Mitch to win."

"Me too," Miles says. "After the race, me and Joey became closer than ever. I guess you could say we became..." He holds Joey's paw. "... really close." Barbara & Eddy, the restaurant critics.

"We've noticed they spelled critics wrong for the first half of the race," Eddy says, "critics isn't spelled with a Q."

"Crazy fact aside, I was glad we were eliminated," Barbara says, "the race was only driving us apart. We've been friends since middle school and what have I been doing the first portion of the race? Arguing."

"She's actually improved a bit since we were cut."

"What? You saying I was worse?!" Kit & Kitty, the twins sisters.

"The black eyes were just for the race, but now I'm thinking about keeping it," Kitty says.

"Me too," Kit says, "at least this way, people can tell us apart when we get home. As for who we want to win, definitely the fraternity brothers. They stayed calm even in the toughest of situations like the Philippines, Bahamas, and the Mediterranean."

"I'm happy if either team wins. Diesel & DeeDee were our allies at one point, and let's face it, they're pretty good players."

"True." Last but not least, Tammy & Rachel, the Olympians.

"I'm not sure who I want to win," Rachel says. "The frat bros were our allies at one point so I'm sure that they have a decent shot."

"I think that neither of them deserve to win," Tammy says, "DeeDee's been nothing but a bitch; kicking Vince & Sam to the curb and betraying the twins. And as for the party brothers, they turned their backs on us."

***

Diesel & DeeDee run out of the Bank. "Awwww, man. It's over," Mitch pins his ears down. Jasper tries his key in another box and hears a click.

"No it isn't," Jasper says triumphantly. He opens the deposit box, pulls clue and map out and rushes out with his buddy. They see the Policefurs not too far ahead and they start running.

"Where the college?" DeeDee asks.

"Straight ahead!" Diesel says. They run as fast as they can, their feet sore and lungs on fire. The frat bros slowly catch up to them.

"Dude! I can see the Policefurs!" Mitch points ahead of him. Jasper looks a little closer.

"Oh no! I can also see the finish line, man!" Jasper shouts. The boys run as fast as they can, quickly catching up. Soon, they run side by side with Diesel & DeeDee.

"It all comes down to this," Toner says, "after over 20 countries and 26 checkpoints, who will finally win the million?" The four racers get closer and closer with each second passing. They see a gold rug with the word "finish" in black letters. The silver suitcase sits beside it.

200 feet.

100 feet. The audience minus Tammy goes nuts when they see Jasper & Mitch and Diesel & DeeDee approaching.

50 feet.

25 feet. The crowd goes silent as the remaining racers make it within 10 feet of the finish line. Their feet hurting, the lungs burning, and their eyes blurry. One team uses what's left of their energy to run faster. Those trip and fall directly on the rug.

"Jasper & Mitch win!!" Toner cheers. The audience applaud and cheers.

"We won?" Jasper asks. The realization hits him hard. "We won!!!"

"Dude!!!" Mitch says. The boys get up and hug each other tight. "We did it, man!!!" Toner walks up to them, handing them the silver suitcase.

"Boys, this is yours," Toner says. Jasper takes the case. Diesel & DeeDee look disappointed but they're not really that mad. Toner hands out microphones to Diesel & DeeDee for last minute speeches.

"18 teams started this race and we made it to the final two, that's pretty good, right?" Diesel asks.

"No. That just makes it sad," DeeDee says.

"We had a bunch of obstacles along the way and overcame each of them."

"Well, I say that this was a month of my life wasted all for nothing."

"DeeDee!"

"Ok! Ok. I learned more than that. Like, my partner is right, I can be a bit of a meathead every now and then. I also learned this past month that Diesel isn't as weak as he first appeared when we signed up for this race."

"Awwww. Thanks." They hand the microphones to Jasper & Mitch, who invites their superteammates Kit & Kitty and Miles & Joey down.

"Winning this race is probably the most exciting this that has ever happened in my life," Jasper says. "And the fact that I did it with my best friend made it even more awesome!"

"I agree," Mitch says, "we should definitely go back to Brazil or Egypt sometime. What do you say?"

"I say why not? And we get to bring our superteam with us! And, as promised, were absolutely splitting the money with them. $166,666 for you guys!"

"Thanks," Kit says.

"That's very kind," Joey says. The six of them group hug.

"Well, thanks for tuning in to our world-wide adventure. What will happen next?" Toner asks. "Only one way to find out, check out for next season of... the Amazing Race."
