Heaven Scent

A little something from the archives that I put together in homage of my previous incarnation as an airport worker. Wolves, foxes and scent abound as two old lovers reunite, and the spark of an old romance starts to set their minds alight. Enjoy!

"Look mummy, look."

A young fox cub had tugged on his Mum's tail and dragged her back to stare at the two solemn lupes sat boring themselves stupid.

"Hmm. Tail Souls. That sounds almost exactly like tailho..."

"OK, that's enough of that young man." Paws were quickly clasped together and swift pawsteps made tracks away from the stand.

Lou and Francis turned to look at each other with a giggle. At least there was some kind of entertainment to this job.

"Wrecking innocence for over a hundred years." Lou panned his paws out above him as though putting up a poster, then snickered as he rubbed a cloth over his pristine ceramic basin.

Francis just shook his head, passing a paw over the bottles of shampoos and cleansers, turning each so that their labels would face the same way. He shuffled atop his stool, his tail aching as it was caught, numb now with having sat on it awkwardly. Nothing much was ever going right.

They were a picture really. Every day for twelve hours they sat there in the plush new departure lounge of Canas International Airport, manning their booths to provide all and sundry quality tail grooming, washes and conditioning. Thirty Lupic pounds got you the full works, whilst twenty got you a grooming and massage; highlights were extra. Over and over and over; that sales pitched rolled through Francis's brain, irritating the fuck out of him. But the wolf smiled bravely and got on with his job, begging sirs and engaging in awkward small talk with numerous miserable businessmen. It was his father's brainchild after all. But none of it stopped him feeling trapped and at a loss in a dead end position. He'd have to pin his ears upwards most of the day to stop him falling asleep; he'd also have to resist the urge to lean forward and prop his muzzle to his elbow in a huff of boredom.

But that's where he remained; in a wolf's proper place, his own place in the order. He'd just have to wait for his turn to come along. Francis would've enjoyed the beachside opportunities on the Isle of Leaves or perhaps even the Royal Vulpic Isle of Sura Nelo; that's where all the sexy male tail was. Not here in 'grumpsville central' as they used to call it. The young wolf wasn't ashamed to admit that he'd begged his father to work there. He wanted to feel the sun on his hazel and black fur, and the warm, wet sand squidge up between his footpaw pads; he wanted to go where he could see the damp, sabred tails hanging out of the trunks, and the tight male rumps, bare and sweet scented in the delicious breeze. He wanted to find a mate at last.

And as for Lou, he did try to perk him up; and he wasn't bad company, per se. He was just a little mad. He came from south of the border, and was part fox, part wolf, but retained all of the innocent vindictiveness and playfulness of his vulpine roots. Everyone called him Fluff as they knew Lou hated the official Folf classification; and besides, when they took their own company discount tail washes, his came out all poofy.

"You sold any of these bloody things today." Lou held a tiny posh glass vial up to the light, swilling its ambery contents around in the harsh electric spotlights, "Marc's offering paid holiday if we sell a crate in a whole shift."

"Huh! We'd be lucky if we sold a single bottle. We've got the wrong clientele Fluff. They just don't want to be bothered with that."

"But they work don't they Francis?" Lou grinned, knowing that his colleague regularly took the floor samples with him on his bathroom break.

"Fuck off." Francis mumbled, going desperately pink in the muzzle, gazing away into the lounge.

TailSouls Ltd were also a purveyor of specialist musks and scents, designed for the honeymoon sector, the secular vulpine mating season or just those on romantic weekend breaks. It was a huge industry and openly accepted in the liberal cities of the Isles of Canis; and as much as Francis hated trying to peddle them to every single customer, he had a not-so-secret love of the masculine products. The floor samples did indeed get used extremely fast. Not that he really needed them. He still had that special bottle of his ex's scent in his kitchen cupboard tucked sneakily behind the pepper and the garlic powder. That came out on special and not-so-special occasions, either when he was feeling really tense and yiffy, or really down in the dumps. Poor wuffie felt so lonely.

The morning went by so quick with hardly a flicker of business. There were more people asking where their gates were than those wanting the services of two extremely bored young lupes. Francis had a little giggle when Lou was able to completely tongue-tie a handsome young fox decked out smartly in his wedding finery; poor sod only wanted to buy, if incredibly nervously, a bottle of NiarNush. It was the premium musk, developed especially for foxes preparing for their wedding night. Expensive and developed from the purest of blood and season, "Sun and Rain" to give it its Lupic name, was their most potent and in many eyes, _the_most embarrassing to purchase too. A tentative walk up to where they were sat, was followed by a very nervy shuffle through his wallet; and then Lou had that grin on his muzzle, and the fun began. He had the poor fox stuttering and blushing desperately pink, whilst making all kinds of sneaky insinuations. Francis just had to gaze sideward, away at something else; he was afraid of collapsing in fits of laughter.

The lupe's tail shivered as he suppressed a happy wag, keeping it still and hovering in as professional a manner as possible. Certain speeds would be deemed offensive, and he didn't want the young fox to think he was making fun of him too. He was really, but he couldn't show it. Having said all this, Francis would've rather had the nervous vulp than the gruff wanker he had to deal with minutes later. The type of wolf who carried an alpha complex with him wherever he went, dragging everyone down and along with him, this guy was completely intent on making Francis's totally unremarkable job all the more unremarkable. He'd just sat down on the stool and slunk his thick grubby tail into the basin without even saying a word. Francis was obviously psychic. Footpaws crossed and muzzle buried in the broadsheets, he briefly glared over his shoulder at the poor wolf.

"Basic. No fancy stuff, tail boy."

Francis just sighed and, one strained smile later, grudgingly lathered up his customer's tail. Lou kept nudging him as he worked his paws across and down the fur, handing him at first a huge pair of scissors and grinning.

"Lou! Quit it will ya'" Francis hissed from the corner of his muzzle.

"What was that?" The businessman turned slightly to look back at him.

"Oh nothing sir. I was just talking to my colleague."

He probably didn't believe him as he swivelled back with a suspicious scowl. And then Lou handed him the rolls of colourful ribbons and bows; they kept them for the cubs. Francis was going to crack into laughter; he could just feel it. He just kept his paws on his customer's tail, his eyes straight ahead to those gritty-grey wolven ears and black suit, whilst rinsing the cool water over the body and preparing to blow dry. Suddenly his vision was filled with a bottle being dangled in front of his muzzle, a mischievous giggle coming from behind him; it was blond fur dye. Lou was loving this a lot more than Francis.

"Go on, go on! Dye it. That'll teach the fucker." Lou whispered into the lupe's left ear.

Francis just shook his head and smiled. He wasn't about to lose his job over some silly spat with some tailhole of a wolf. Although it would be rather funny to see him pay and pad off towards his gate with a black suit, his paper and briefcase in his paws; and a bright peroxide blond tail. Such is life. Many awkward silences later, and Francis had a rather perturbed look at his very neat work, a begrudged proffering of a scruffy twenty lupic-pound note and the sight of the plump lupe pad off towards the champagne bar. It really hadn't been worth it.

"Awwww, you spoilsport." Lou feigned a pout, his ears drooped and head hung as he sat back down at his station.

"Ahh stop ya' whinging Fluff." Francis leant down and carefully rubbed his paws dry with his cotton paw towel. He didn't look back at his colleague. The wolf only paid attention when he got a tap on the shoulder.

"Ooo ooo. Here's another one. Come on Franny, go for it. Give 'im the full works."

"Give it a rest would ya'! And please don't call me that. Besides, how 'bout you do him, instead of palming 'im off to me?"

"Can't do it mate. He's obviously intent on you." Lou nudged his friend again, hissing with a cub-like excitement, watching intently as the next customer padded purposefully past him and sat at Francis's stool.

"Gimme a break Fluff, you're... just... trying..." Francis stopped as he leant upward from cleaning the basin and arranging his bottles, his ears perking up instantly and his tail twitching into a high hover.

A gorgeously thick and velvety swathe of red fur slunk into the cuddle of the elongated ceramic bowl; it was such a familiar tail. Francis hadn't ever forgotten its volume, its black flame streaks from the head and that cute little dab of white at the very tip as though it had been coated in liquid royal icing. That sweet woody scent like green oaks stranded in the rain struck his nose; he never thought it possible.

"Dexter?"

"Hello sugar wuff."

Sat there cross-pawed was a lithe and broad vulp with huge black-lined turning ears, and a sly look on his muzzle. He was big for a fox; an imposing figure, with strong black-clawed footpaws and a vitality in a pair of sky blue eyes that made you feel both comfortable and shy all at once. The vulp twitched his tail, curving it upward from the basin and tickling Francis across his lap.

"A little foxie told me you give the best tail-jobs in all of Canas. And I just had to come and see what all the fuss is about."

"Dex.. I... I haven't seen you in years."

"Two, to be precise."

Francis really didn't know how to react. They had met at school, fallen in love and left to live together; before that is Dexter got a contract to work overseas and was gone more often than he was home. The wolf remembered all those nights huddled up crying, tightly bound like a lost cub, wanting to have his lover back. When they were together it was great. The sex was fantastic, the passion was fiery; and the cute thoughtful nature of his vulpine partner always made him blush and squeal with delight.

But the contracts kept coming, and they both kept working; and Dexter was having to fly further and further, and stay away longer and longer. In the end it grew too much to bear. And it wasn't even the best of ways to part. Francis had picked him up at the airport after another three months away; but this time his eyes were filled with tears and his loins dulled instead of begging for relief. The wolf couldn't take it anymore. There were no more sweet little gifts. There were no more days out together. There were no more long, sticky, sultry nights where neither of them got a wink of sleep. But there was that huge blazing row in the street as they reached home, stood casting each other in ever more hurtful moulds as the rain came down about them. Started with a nuzzle in the school changing rooms at sixteen, and ended seven years later with a silently packed bag and a slumped, rain soaked pelt, Francis could hear his own voice and feel the dampness on his rump; he'd sat bawling his heart out on the steps to the apartment block.

"You flying out again today?" Francis mumbled that rather, juggling about nervously with his tail conditioners as he prepared the rinsing head. He was trying to think of Dexter as just another customer.

"Mhm. I'm off to Sovereign on Sura Nelo. Just a quickie this time. Showing off the latest range."

The wolf just adjusted himself on his seat and showered through the dry swathes of fur on the vulp's tail. It was smooth and delicate. It was just as he remembered.

"You always were a genius at this, you know." Dexter turned and looked back at Francis who had his head down and his ears pinned, trying not to seem too flushed.

There was no reply.

"You don't seem very happy to see me."

"I .... I am." Francis stuttered, looking up as his paws slowed to massage over his ex's brush, "I.. I just haven't... I haven't had any reminders of us for a long long time."

"You know, I still think about you, wuff. And I.... I'm sorry for what I said that night. They were horrible things to say. I never meant it to come out like that."

Francis shrugged and sighed, combing the creamy peach conditioner through the auburn fur, right down to the tip.

"You had your job. You had to fly. I guess I wasn't strong enough to deal with being alone so much."

"I would've held back and stayed if you'd..."

"Don't say that!" Francis instantly stopped and looked up, pointing a soapy paw at the fox.

"But what I'm ...."

"Please don't." The wolf stopped him again, "It's done now. I don't want to think about hindsight, Dex. It upsets me too much."

"OK" The fox murmured sadly, the tips of his ears folding a little, turning around in his seat and staring out into the lounge.

Francis held back the tears in silence, the nervous quick thud of his heart the only audible thing in his droopy ears. He was lying through his teeth. The lupe did want to be reminded of it all. He wanted to relive it all. He wanted that special fox to go home to.

A hot gush of the fur-dryer and Dexter's tail was done, shining and clean, fresh-scented and handsome. The fox got to his feet and swished it around to his front, admiring the work. Francis just went pink in the muzzle, his ears folded backward as he was caught in that smile. Fiddling his paws through his towel and cleaning the basin, he noticed Dex shuffling a paw through a pocket in his case.

"Here." The fox slipped out a crisp red and gold fifty-pound note, and held it out towards Francis, "I know it's only twenty, but I want you to have the whole lot. No one tells you how much you're appreciated Fran, I can tell that."

But the wolf was already shaking his head and smiling.

"I can't."

"Yes you can. Here." And Dexter rolled the note up and slipped it into the neck of one of the empty shampoo bottles.

Francis wasn't having any of it, and plucked the cash from its sticky cocoon and handed it back.

"You don't owe me anything. It's the least I can do."

Dexter just took on a wry smile as he tentatively took it back.

"Well at least let me make you dinner tonight. I'll be back on ... ummmm..." The fox checked his boarding pass, "I'm back on SSD008. It lands at eight o'clock this evening. You've not got plans have you?"

Francis honestly thought of saying he did; that perhaps he was busy with family or friends or with his right paw. He could feel his muzzle flush red again, a hot shy feeling that gave him more of a boost than anything.

"It's something that I never got to do for you for the entire time we were together. Please. Please at least give me this chance." Dexter heaved his laptop bag over his shoulder as he gazed tearfully down at Francis.

"I'd like that." The wolf murmured, his tail wagging to life and a smile coursing across his muzzle.

The fox smiled as he leant down and slunk his muzzle alongside Francis's, his eyes playfully sideward as he held them there.

"See ya' tonight cutie."

The soft huff of minty fox breath and that addictive scent swam into the wolf's sensitive nostrils, leaning his eyes to a close and squeezing out a tear that trickled across the bridge of his muzzle and down his cheek. He watched him pad away up towards the gates and the flickering horizons of vertical stabilisers that floated like sailing masts across the panes.

"Ahhh so that's Dexter." Lou grinned and spun on his swivel chair to interrogate his colleague.

"Yeah."

"Mmmmm... cute arse."

"Yeah."

"Great body. For a fox of course."

"Yeah, you're right."

"And I bet he's really well hu..."

"Lou!" Francis shook himself from his daydream and glared with a giggle at the folf.

"Sorry. I couldn't help myself."

There was a pause as Fran shook his head and stood up, stretching to relieve the aches of having sat there so long.

"What?"

"Nothin'." Lou's sly muzzle was a picture as he stared up at his friend.

"Like I believe that!"

"Ahhhh I was only wonderin'."

"Yeah? Well you can wonder off, Fluff. I'm not telling you how big he is."

"Yeah, you're right. I was out of line." Lou got to his paws and padded over, another naughty grin coming to his muzzle, "You'll be able to tell me tomorrow morning."

Francis just went red.

He must've dashed through customs lightning fast. Francis had barely been stood at international arrivals for five minutes when Dexter appeared through the double doors"Hey there you." The fox smiled, rolling his case to a stop and falling into a brief cuddle with the work-worn wolf.

"Good flight?" Francis was rather nervous and shy, even though he'd been in tighter, more erotic clinches with the fox he was greeting.

"Mhm. Not too bad." Dexter lead the way out into the chilly night air, a crisp frost biting to the ground already. Senses filled with wafts of kerosene, diesel and that smell of aeroplane that no one can ever get out of coats or fur. The shorter wolf took his friend's case and wheeled it along, both paws to the handle behind his back, his head sheepish in gazing at the tarmac as they walked.

"What about you? Good day?"

"Thrilling." Francis sighed and smiled, gazing sideward at the fox who was chewing regimentally on a breath mint, "I relish every morning I get to spend staring into space and serving the most miserable tails on the planet."

Dexter just bravely giggled.

"I'm sorry, Dex. I'm... I'm just not used to ... well, anyone asking me about my day. The job's not the most stimulating."

"I understand wuffer doggie." The fox slunk a paw about the wolf's slumped shoulders as they stood awaiting a taxi, "Hey cheer up you. You know, I make a mean venison casserole. It'll be sure to warm that muzzle of yours."

Francis had to admit that his stomach rumbled at the thought of it. He never had tasted his ex's cooking, ever; and since he was offering, the wolf relished the idea of a cosy delicious dinner and some company for once.

Dexter didn't live far from the airport, so it was a short, yet quiet taxi ride to his front door. Well, you'd say door;it was the large glass-fronted communal entrance to The Adustus Building, a very plush apartment block in the centre of Canas. Francis kept shuffling nervously with his paws across his lap, exchanging blushed smiles with the fox who was gazing out into the cold city night. After they were dropped off, the wolf looked up in awe at Dexter's home as he stood there on the pavement, leaning his head back and staring up at the thirty or so floors that stretched into the night sky. Flicked and panelled by lights that were on or off in each little flat, like some kind of lit gridded sail, its dark blue glass took on an obsidian sheen that mirrored the stars dusted around the moon. It was imposing and beautiful all at once; very much like the fox who lived in its modern hold.

"You comin'?" Dexter was stood half in and half out of the reception area, his tail in the warmth, his muzzle in the cold and smiling back at his friend who remained struck by the lights and the stellar eyes.

Francis padded quickly over to the door, his fur chilled by the breeze and trying to suppress a hard-worked and tired scent.

The building smelt rather clinical, but it was smartly furnished and warm, Francis gazing all around him at the rather posh surroundings.

"This is really neat, fox."

"Awwww you're sweet, thank you." Dexter was looking for his key card in his wallet whilst his friend admired the little lobby.

"Ooo a tail bath too. This is really up market."

"I like it." The fox shrugged and smiled, sat precariously atop his case, his tail lolled to the floor and dusting at the marble as it wagged.

"What do you actually do, Dex? I mean to live in a place like this. And you're going abroad all the time too."

The fox had padded over to one of the lifts and pressed its triangle button to call it down. He grinned at Francis, stood there alongside him and took something out from the inner pocket of his dark blue jacket.

"I sell these to the friskier ones among us." He handed over a tiny and very familiar bottle, full of clear liquid. Francis instantly knew and smiled. "Go on, take a sniff. You know you want to."

"You naughty thing. I always figured you'd be the kind of vulp to assist those in love." Francis politely declined.

"What can I say..." Dexter grinned and looked at Fran as though he were looking over a pair of glasses, "I love giving a dog a bone."

The wolf shook his head and laughed, following his ex's tail into the lift as it rang its arrival to the lobby. It was kind of what he'd suspected of the fox he'd once fallen for; they had, after all, shared a deep passion for each other's scents. The things they used to do. The ways they used to work each other up into a dirty sweat that left their tail glands dripping. It was a fulfilling and deeply feral way to explore one another. But scent alone would never have kept them from splitting; at least, not back then.

"So you go around and sell them to who? Individuals? Businesses?"

"Both. It's really going well. And fuck, you should've seen the sexy tail I saw today. Bloody hell, enough to make me wet without having a sniff."

Francis guessed he couldn't really grudge his ex that success, although he did bite down on his pride for asking and ultimately now knowing the answer. He just nodded and smiled, leaning back against the mirrored rear of the lift as it jolted then slowly climbed its way through the stanchions and the floors. Dexter stood on the opposite side of the small lift space next to the array of buttons, his paws behind his back and a concentrated look on his muzzle. He was staring at Francis, looking him up and down and making him go all shy. The sickly light gave their furs an off-colour, with Fran's wolven pelt shimmering darker and Dex's likewise.

"Don't you want to know who I saw today that made me that excited?" The fox grinned, shuffling slightly.

"You're probably gonna have me drooling with some story of a hunk of dog on some beach somewhere."

"Kind of. He is a handsome hunk of canine for sure. But he wasn't on a beach. And I dunno..." Dexter padded quietly over to Francis whose head came down from a tired ceiling stare to meet the fox's deep blue eyes, "Do you really want me to make you drool?"

They were stood nose to nose now, Francis able to feel the panting breath of the taller fox hush and steam across his muzzle, his eyes gazing shyly downward. Dexter slipped his nose into the wolf's right ear and nommed gently on the velvety flesh.

"You're the one who made me wet. It's you who I've been thinking of all day. I split my sheath in a board meeting this morning just playing over your body. Thank heavens I was sitting down." The fox whispered, making Francis shiver and whimper. He pulled away, seeing the look of need in the wolf's dark hazel eyes, before slipping his muzzle slowly into a kiss. The soft wet slither of tongues folded into the cosy space as Dex pushed his body closer, pinning the wolf against the wall.

"You know whose scent is my bestseller? You know whose scent drives the hot tail nuts?" The fox growled as he explored Francis's throat with soft bites of the tempting furred flesh, making the wolf moan and inch his head backward to give Dexter more to work with. "You should see them as they take it. They can't hold it back. They... cum... so... hard."

"Ohhh Dexter." The wolf whimpered, suddenly pulling the fox up to roll into a wilder clinch, huffing and panting as he let him go again to feel that muzzle trail down his body. He took on an aching look that begged for it, those grey-hazel paws soon massaging and gripping at Dex's ears as the fox slipped to his knees.

A keen and hungry set of teeth bit gently at Francis's tented crotch, before quick and nimble fox paws relieved the wolf of his trousers and his damp, precum-soaked underwear. Soft obsessed scrapes of a growling muzzle rubbed up from the wolf's dangling bollocks, urging a hot red bevelled tip to rise and cut out from a stiff grey-white sheath. Dexter wrapped his tongue about its veiny throbbing body and almost pulled it from its fleshy humid home, bringing the wolf to his hardest and rushing a hot flow of blood into a thickening knot. The fox traced his tongue up the very tender underside of Francis's cock, before swallowing over the tip and taking him into his muzzle. He'd already slipped a paw between the wolf's legs and felt how damp he was getting, how sweaty his undertail was; and reminding Francis how dextrous he was by playing a finger teasingly around his tailhole.

The wolf pressed his tail higher, away from his rump and ready to mate. He wanted it bad, and he wanted it right now. A syrupy smear of sweat and scent was licked across the mirror by Francis's tail, wiping its wet body across the glass and drying, sending a piquant sexed aroma into the lift. The lupe bore his teeth and snarled as he felt the fox suck him off, that delicious warm maw teasing over his raw member and drawing up the liquids within him, like a mercy kiss to draw out a sweet poison.

An intent growl reverberated around his cock as Dex took a waft of the wolf's scent deep into his senses; and the fox reached both paws up, caressing at first, but then gripping and ripping Francis's shirt asunder as he bobbed his head up and down on the wolf's thick shaft. All the while, the lift had taken them up through the numerous floors, stopping minutes later at a high floor in the block; and this was the third time they'd got to where they wanted to go. Every time the lift had announced its arrival, Dexter had reached back and, with a talented flick of a footpaw, dabbed the button to send them back down, over and over. They never stopped, they never once flinched from their passion, Dexter rising up and pressing his tense and wanting body roughly against the wolf and biting down on those now bare shoulders. Mothers with cubs stood waiting for the lift were just as quick with the buttons and a paw across the eyes of their children. Some were outraged and huffed at it all. Some stood there, smelt the air and the entwined bare-fur inside; and then cheered them on.

But now all Francis wanted was the privacy to climb those steps with his lover one more time, and touch beyond the starry ceiling that he'd been so taken with all night. The doors shunked to yet another arrival at the correct floor, and this time Dex grinned and took a hold of the wolf's paw. It didn't matter to Francis that he was bare-furred but for the shreds left of his shirt. It didn't matter that his hard-on dangled a crimson red to the rare air of the cold corridor. It didn't matter that they stank; it was delicious and dirty, and they both loved it, as it would only get all the richer and all the more irresistible.

"Bed time!" Dex could barely come out of their kiss, as he held Francis's paw with one, and held another paw to his case, before checking the corridor and padding quickly right into the apartment opposite.

The air was rather chill and musty, but they didn't care. The whole flat was flooded with a deep navy light that was soothing on the eye and the body; and it was the perfect hideaway from the searing harsh bulbs of the corridor. Cuddled in the comfy darkness, the door was quickly shut and the case left to slump to the carpet as muzzles rolled again and clothing pooled to the floor. Dex slowed things down as he shoved Francis back up against a central column support and pulled his own trousers to the floor, flicking his tail as they slipped away. It left him stood there in a tented white jockstrap that could barely contain his long fractured sheath.

Through the dusk he could see the wolf's eyes light up, and his ears picked up that starved whimper. He padded forward and rubbed his bare-furred body up against Francis, slipping his paws to the waistband of his underwear and slowly peeling them away from his loins. There was a carved grin on his muzzle as he did so, knowing that as that damp pouch peeled away, a heavy musky breeze of scent would rise up between them and contact aching nostrils. They shared that moan as they shared that scent, dripping into one another as pressed members grew up against one another; hot and fleshy throbbing sex that drooled a clear precum over veins and tense tightening balls.

Neither said a word as Dexter took Francis's paw and lead him through into the bedroom. It was a beautiful night, the floor-to-ceiling windows looking out onto the city, the bed like a tipping horizon that met the skyscrapers and the lights and the stars. Each step now was a pleasured blur, as each and every push of hips to arid loins was gasped and smudged like a furred ink. Paws reached for each other, paws reached for each others' scents bottled and ready on the bedside table; and the trickled drizzle of the potent perfumes was only defeated by the gasping whines of pleasure that shook through from ears to tail tips.

Dex sat on the corner of his bed at first and held Francis transfixed on his member, kissing and side-biting at the wolf's black-streaked chest fur as a trembling paw reached between them and poured a hot drip of bottled musk over their join; where the heat of the wolf's cock pulsed, and where the soreness of his tailhole was stretched and thrilled by Dexter's knot. Francis kept whimpering as he was let go and ushered to somewhere else, not wanting the feeling of his lover's thick cock to void from his insides.

Their silhouettes mated frantically against the urban backdrop, piked and sabred tail fur high in the air as Dex scissor-walked his jaws between the wolf's buttocks to eat across his tailhole; and then he'd rise up in a perfectly male shadow to flush his loins to Francis's tender rump. It'd drive him crazy to see that tempting arse, spliced with a pair of fecund bollocks that were gradually milking dry; but that wolf knew exactly how to turn him on, and would reach behind himself and douse his backside in his own liquid-form musk. And then there was no stopping him. He'd prowl to reach him in the night, shrugging the duvet out the way and, tail excited and twitching, he'd sniff across the base of his lover's back to test whether he was in season.

"Mate me!" Francis would whimper, spreading his own buttocks and grabbing his own tail to pin it out the way. The only shadow that passed over his cleft was a tiny clear stream of musk that allowed Dex no control over his wild side.

He slithered all eight inches into the wolf's backside as he gripped him from behind, leaving Francis to press his paws against the window glass and lose himself in the feeling and the smell. It was all coming to a head, and the wolf's eyes were drowning in a sweet flood of darkness and soft buttery starlight. That hot feral craving, the wild wolf inside him, didn't want the fox in that position for long and took control to finish him lying down, kneeling back up and pushing Dex down onto the bed. With a snarl, Fran sat right down on him, squatting to impale himself on the vulp's musky member. Dexter writhed beneath him as those slim lupine hips took him all and took every ounce of control, intent on every drop and enjoying every inch of friction. Over and over Francis lowered himself all the way down, feeling his tail tense up and his scent rise, loving the warmth of Dexter's grip on his hips and the love in the fox's eyes.

"I want you back. I love you wuffie." Dex whispered, a desperate guttural whine in his voice.

"I want you too. Please don't leave me again." Francis's eyes were brimming with tears as held the fox's right paw to his chest, right over his heart. He didn't want this to ever end.

Echoed huffing bounced about the bedroom as they were cast there against the night, the wolf's fur threaded with beads of sweat that only added to his final drench; an obsessed paw gripped that bottle and, arching his whole body, poured it over himself in an oily flood. Dex couldn't take it, his maw dropping as he heard Francis utter his final moan and that rich-red cock erupt a thick flow of wolf semen onto his belly. This intoxication of seed and sex finally got the better of him, the fox breeding his wolven lover with hot sprays of fox cum milked from a delicious grinding ride. His thick wet tail rose and fell from the bed sheets as each exquisite pulse throbbed a new shot of liquid into Francis, eyes tearful with the pleasure, and furs and hearts free to float in a dusky midnight.

The earthly satellites of blinking headlights and industry, sparkled in oranges and pale yellows against their velvety black-blue cushion, zipped and comfy with their button moon. It all shone down and coated the two lovers as they shuffled to cuddle, nuzzle and then fall asleep together; tails flopped and entwined, paws tightly together, damp and spent loins pressed flush in a syrupy nonchalance. Francis had his fox back.

"Wuffie?" Dex blinked awake and shuffled to sit up in bed, his jaws yawning wide in the rainy morning light.

Francis had got up early and dressed; or at least partly anyway. He had no shirt per se, so he'd just shrugged into his jacket and sat staring at the sheet of paper he'd found on Dexter's kitchen table. The fox heaved himself out of bed and padded through to the kitchen, seeing the wolf there huddled over all cold and confused.

"Fran, are you OK?" Dex squeezed a paw gently to the wolf's shoulder.

"Don't touch me." The lupe growled angrily, and shrugged out of the fox's touch. He'd obviously had a shower, as Dexter could smell the perfume of his soap on his lover's fur; and the wet ears and chest ruff were a dead give away.

"What's wrong?"

"This. This is what's wrong. You knew you were moving away? And you brought me back here for one final shag."

"No no no. I've... OK yeah, I've had the place on the market, but I ... well I was going to stay I guess if things worked out."

"Worked out? You mean between you and I? You really were trying it on and trying me out!" Francis got to his paws and padded out of the kitchen, pushing past the bare-furred fox stood on the cold tiles.

"I wasn't doing anything of the sort. I really bumped into you by chance Francis." Dex caught up with the slighter wolf and held him gently by his left paw, turning him around. "I'm telling the truth. I honestly, really didn't know. Things working out were for work, not personal stuff. I wasn't planning on this. Heck, I've always wanted it. I've never stopped loving you, sugar wuff."

The wolf just buckled, his muzzle crumpled into a flood of tears, as he fell into a hug with Dexter who held him tight and lingered a kiss between his ears.

"I'm sorry Fran. I'm really sorry. I... I never meant to hurt you."

"D... d... do you have to go?" The wolf spluttered in his upset, snuffling his muzzle to the fox's warm chest.

"I'm sorry. There's a six-month contract with a company in Pax Bridge on the other side of the Sea of Stone. They want me to go. I'm so so sorry." And now Dexter was crying, soft salt washing over his muzzle and pattering to his lover's head.

All that was once sweet was now sour, and left to another run-of-the-mill morning to grind tails and ears and hearts into helpless obeying powders that breathed and moved; but couldn't live.

They decided it was fitting to share a taxi to the airport that morning. Dex was smart; in his casuals this time, his long tail slunk from some washed-out khaki cargos, his footpaws fresh-washed and trimmed. Francis was in his usual work uniform; well as close as he could get to it. Dexter had another dark shirt he could borrow and, although it was a little baggy for the smaller wolf, it fitted fine. And it had the fox's sweet oaken scent too which was always a plus point for Francis, particularly now that they'd be waving goodbye... again.

He didn't really need to, but the wolf accompanied Dexter to the SSD Airlines check-in area, and helped him with his case. He promised his lover a fresh wash of his gorgeous brush once he was through in the departure lounge. They didn't even really say much to each other, remaining silent and shy whilst breaking apart inside. It was the worst feeling in the world; but for Fran, he was at work, and the professional in him shone through, no matter how much he fucking hated his day job. The lupe reluctantly left Dex, lingering his paw in the fox's before finally letting go, like a cub starting a new school and having to wave goodbye to mum at the gates. There'd be no dinnertime reunion though this time.

He hung by one of the columns on the concourse as that handsome frame folded into the queue, and his tail waved and wafted around the corner and out of sight. Francis breathed deeply and, with a brave swish of his tail and quivering distraught ears, padded towards the staff security pass point and made his way to the TailSouls stand in the airside area of the airport.

Lou was already there, flicking through the latest MaleTail soft-porn magazine by the looks of it; he wouldn't have put it down and hid it so quickly if it had been anything else.

"Doin' a bit of research are we?" Francis smiled wryly as he inched round and sat at his station, unlocking his shampoo cupboard and rinsing the basin,

"Probably only as much research as you ended up doing last night. Am I right? Huh? Huh?"

"Yeah yeah alright."

"Oooo go on, I wanna hear all the sticky details." The folf swivelled on his stool and leant his head into both his paws like an intrigued cub. There was a distinct wag to his tail which made Francis sure he wasn't taking the piss. He really was interested.

"So. Are vulp/lupe relations at an all time high? Did you broker some hard deals? Or did he drill you for more info?" Lou giggled. And to be honest, although he'd had to deal with the heartache this morning, Francis managed to see the funny side too.

"We... he took me back to his flat and..."

"Fast forward." Lou grinned, winding a paw in the air as though he was winding a tape.

"Well we had a chat and got to know..."

"Booooooring. Spin on, already!"

"Alright, alright. He yiffed my tail off, OK? Sheesh!"

"Oh cool man! Aaaaaaand?"

"And what?"

"And is he really... you know..." Lou was panning his paws out at different lengths and slanting his eyes slyly. Francis just shook his head and smiled, his ears a lot perkier now, and his chest not aching so much.

"Yes. A good eye-watering eight ... thick... inches." Francis murmured with a grin, drawing a whimper of jealousy from his colleague now leant over at a very convenient angle. "You are such a frisky thing. You really need to get laid."

"Oh man. If he comes through here, I'm gonna be picturing that now. Will you cover me if I have to dash to the bathroom?"

"You gotta' be kidding. I've offered him another freebie and I want as much chat time with him as I can."

"Damn." Lou muttered under his breath, before sneakily opening the centre fold of his magazine below the line of his basin. It was going to be his only relief today.

"Attention please. Would passengers Raen, Ermelis, Pinter and Wycliffe due to fly on SSD015 flight to Pax Bridge, please make their way immediately to gate eighteen. This flight has now boarded and is awaiting departure."

"That's Dex's flight. They're calling his name." Francis perked up as he heard his lover's surname read out.

"He'll be fine." Lou dismissed it with a wave of a paw, his muzzle still buried in his porn.

And no sooner had he said it, then a rushed and already tired looking fox dashed around the corner from the security point. Francis caught his eye and padded over to meet him.

"What's wrong? They're calling you."

"There was a huge queue at customs. It took them ages to get me through. Look I'm sorry wuffer doggie, I have to go. I can't have my tail wash today."

"Oh OK. No... I ... I understand. It's cool." Francis was secretly very disappointed that it would end so abruptly. No little chat, no stroll to the gate, no soft calm goodbyes.

"I'm sorry Francis. I'm sorry for how it's all worked out again. I love you baby wolf."

One deep tearful kiss later and Francis was left there, casting a blurry upset gaze after Dex's tail as he ran through the lounge and up towards the gates. He'd make it in time. There wouldn't be a problem.

More's the pity, Francis thought to himself as he padded back towards his tailwash stand and slumped back onto his seat.

"He get off OK?" Lou was still licking his lips and immersed in his magazine.

Francis just nodded and hung his head, his ears pinned sorrowfully backwards. His last time was a rushed and spoilt time. Such was life.

Another call rang out for the same flight about ten minutes later; but this time Dexter's surname was missing. He was boarded and cuddled up in his seat no doubt; and that announcement probably hurt more than the first. It was that final realisation for Francis that his time with Dex had come to an end; and this time, probably for good.

"Hey! Tail boy! You open?" A gruff and rude voice interrupted his thought pattern, and Francis looked up.

"Hmm?"

"I said, are... you... open?" It was that same businessman again, spewing his tactless crap at the poor wolf sat there behind his basin.

"Uh... yeah. I guess so." Fran sighed. He didn't really want to take his eyes off the gate area. He would never see the plane take off; but it was just the fact that that was where he went, out into the daylight.

"You guess so?" The plump wolf muttered angrily, turning and sitting down to lay his tail in the basin, "You youngsters these days, bloody laws unto yourselves. You never knew what we had to go through as cubs, you never appreciate the hard work we put in. And you do terrible jobs. Terrible, terrible jobs."

The businessman just sat there hammering on, muttering into his newspaper as Francis turned on the shower taps.

"Should get a proper job. Bloody awful service!"

And that's where the hush of the water stopped. Francis had had enough. The wolf's ears turned forward like velvety grey radar, bee lining for the gates as he vaulted over his basin and turned to untie his tabard.

"Wash it yourself, you miserable muzzlestuffer! I quit!" Francis threw the tabard and a sopping wet sponge into the customer's lap and bolted for the ramp.

He left all the muttering and the shouting behind as he ran as fast as he could up towards the windows, and left along the concourse. He could see airline staff stood at gate 18, checking watches and tapping footpaws on the marble. Francis could taste blood in his maw, a metallic flavour from his exertion that made him pant hard; but he couldn't let him go. And he was willing to go with him if he didn't want to stay. He just needed to pull through the stitch in his side and the soreness in his throat to reach there before the flight left. Footpaws clicked along the polished stone floor, before Francis almost skidded to a halt at the gate.

"I... I'm looking... I'm..." The wolf swallowed, allowing his tail and his body to catch up with him, "I'm looking for a Mr Wycliffe. Dexter Wycliffe. Is he here?"

"Sorry mate. Plane's on push back." A rather astute and smartly dressed vulp looked over his thin glasses and gave Francis that final thrust of bad luck.

The wolf just bravely smiled and nodded, turning away and slumping into one of the vacant seats opposite the gate. There were tears in his eyes again; and bloody hell he'd sat on his tail and twisted it. Fuck! A paw thumped angrily to the mesh metal seat beside him and he slung his head between his knees.

"Hey now, don't go hurting those cute little paws." A smooth male voice whispered down from behind him.

Francis just huffed a brief and unfeeling smile; but this was shortlived as his brain kicked in and he recognised who it was. His eyes fell wide open as he clicked, and spun round to lay a loving gaze on a tall, handsome fox stood there tearing up his boarding pass.

"Now you see, I had a contract. But I never said I'd signed it."
