Jayce's car was a beat-up piece of crap that ran fairly well. That’s all that mattered to him. He pulled his Civic up to the side of the road in front of The Cliff. The coffee shop didn’t have any proper parking, so going for a cup of coffee usually meant parallel parking on the street.Â

The fox climbed out of his car, locked it, and then kicked the door closed. He looked over the roof, peering through his dark aviator sunglasses, and glanced through the window of his older brother’s shop. Leeanna was behind the counter.  Teeth bared themselves deviously as his lips pulled back in a grin of approval. Leeanna was his older brother’s wife, but that never stopped him from coveting her from a distance.

He thumped his paw on the top of the car, just as a Jeep sped by him, nearly clipping him from the side of the road, â€WHAT THE FUCK?!†he shouted, whirling around to scream at the vehicle that was already gone. His grin had faded and his brow knitted with frustration. Jayce spat at the ground and walked around the front of his Civic and climbed the curb. Briefly, he turned to face his car and check his hair in the reflection of the window.  Fingers pushed back a few frizzy stray hairs and then he straightened up.Â

The bell for the door of The Cliff, was nothing more than a metal scoop tied to the handle on the inside. It rang as it banged against the glass of the door and Leeanna looked up from her magazine. She was a small, grey, kit fox with big ears that supported a cute pair of glasses on the bridge of her nose. The bell had startled her. It was a quiet day. No one was in the shop and no one had come in for the past half hour. Her lips curled into a smile when she recognized the face, â€Oh hey Jayce.†She said in her sweet little voice.

Jayce pulled his sunglasses from his eyes and hooked the ear-piece in the collar of the white t-shirt he wore under his jacket, â€Hey hun’, is Jhona around?†he asked, peeking over to peer into the kitchen behind Leeanna. He didn’t hear anyone else in the shop.Â

The kit rolled her eyes up to the ceiling, â€He’s in the apartment… doinsomethin. You want a Frappa before you head up there?â€Â She closed her magazine and slid off her stool to grab one of the paper cups and plastic lid, but Jayce shook his head.

â€Nah, that’s okay. I had like three cigarettes in the past hour. I think if I add caffeine to it I’ll have a heart-attack.† He said with a chuckle, walking to the side room of the shop where the stairs to the upstairs apartment were, â€Maybe later.†The fox called back to the front before climbing the steps. They were old and wooden, making a loud creaking noise as he headed up.

Jhona was lounging in his office upstairs. He had his feet kicked up on his desk and the chair was reclining back, resting on just two of the four wheeled feet. Beneath his own feet were his personal accounting books, filled to the brim with funeral expenses from his mother’s recent death. His whole face looked ragged.

Jayce stood in the doorway of his big brother’s office, leaning on the frame and watching him with a cruel smirk on his face. â€Jhona!†he shouted, thumping a knuckle on the open door. The big fox rolled his head to the side and pulled his fingers from his eyes, â€Heeyy Jayce. Whatsup? You and James find him a place to live?†he asked, throwing his feet off of his desk and standing up to give his brother a hug.

Jhona dwarfed Jayce in size. His broad shoulders and burly arms nearly squeezed the life out of the thin punk frame that Jayce possessed. The younger fox grunted and patted the older one’s back, â€Yeah†he said, finding it hard to breathe. Once Jhona let him go, he continued on, â€Yeah, I found him a place.â€Â

The oldest of the brothers smiled happily and thunked a punch right into Jayce’s shoulder, â€Very good, where’s he stayin`?†he asked, walking back to his chair to sit down. He leaned back again and shoved his paws behind his head. Jayce grinned and leaned against the door frame again. His arms folded over his chest, â€With Grey.†He said, chuckling. Jhona didn’t find it quite as funny. The big fox stood up again, â€What?! With Grey? Are you serious? He’ll kill him!â€Â He threw his burly arms up in the air in frustration, â€Why Grey?!â€Â

Jayce scowled and kicked away from the door. He shot an angry look right back at his big brother, â€Don’t act like you care! You know damn well Grey likes his little fuck toys. Maybe if you and I get in good with the old fuck that he’ll cut us some slack and get us on in the real action. That man has power. I’d rather be on the winning side.â€

Jhona’s fur puffed up in aggravation.  His eyes widened wildly and he yelled so loud the coffee mugs downstairs rattled from the shaking walls, â€FUCK TOY? â€Â his big paw grabbed the collar of Jayce’s white shirt, crushing the sunglasses in his grip, â€Is that what you marketed our brother as? James is our brother!†he pulled at the shirt and leaned down to bring his angry face to the smaller fox’s level.

Jayce growled right back, â€Don’t you give me that shit, Jhona. That’s exactly what you and I used him as!â€Â His comment was like a slap to Jhona’s face, but the burly man retained his angry image.

â€I stopped though. You said you did too.†He spat.

â€Yeah, well, surprise surprise, that boy hasn’t gone a day without my seed soaking in his furry little ass.â€

Jhona growled again and slammed Jayce’s back into the door frame. This time the smaller fox didn’t seem so cocky. He felt his neck pop and his scowl disappeared, â€Fuck man! Easy!â€Â he shouted, putting his paws to the big hand at his chest. He tried to twist it away, but to no prevail. The eldest brother held on tight.

â€You..go..get him. NOW!â€Â Jhona shouted and tossed his brother aside. He stomped back to the desk and shoved his books off of it in frustration, â€He can stay with me.â€Â And with that he dropped his ass back in the seat. Angry eyes darted up to see his younger brother still standing there, â€NOW! GET THE FUCK OUT!â€Â he screamed. The mug, in which he kept his pencils and pens, whizzed through the air at the skinny fox’s head. Jayce darted out.

Downstairs, Leeanne had heard shouting and a lot of thumping, but at the sound of someone coming down the stairs, she sighed and put her magazine down again. Her brother-in-law’s visits never ended pleasantly. She disappeared into the kitchen to prepare a Frappa coffee and by the time the long-haired fox in the leather jacket was in the front room, Leeanne had the cold paper cup held out for him. Jayce took the cup, mumbled a ‘thanks’ and headed out the door.

â€Fuck.â€Â The boy mumbled, stopping alongside his car. He pulled his sunglasses from his shirt. They were bent and one of the lenses was still upstairs on the floor. He growled and tossed them on the sidewalk.Â

A red Jetta whizzed by him just as he stepped around his car and into the street, â€FUCK!†he screamed, spilling his coffee all over himself. He slammed his fist on the roof of the car and immediately after, kicked the driver’s side door. It clicked and opened up on its own.Â

Leeanne watched her brother-in-law climb into his car and drive away. She sighed and looked up to the stairs. Someone else was coming down, â€Jhona, I hope that’s you!†she shouted, turning her eyes back to the street to make sure Jayce wasn’t coming back.

â€Yeah hun, it’s me.â€Â Jhona said, coming through the door to the kitchen and then slipping out to the front room behind his wife who was behind the counter. She spun around just in time for him to slip his arms around her waist and pull her into a big hug. His lips kissed her softly on the forehead and he sighed, â€You might wanna either go get a long hot bath upstairs, or go out shopping or something, hun. If Jayce comes back and he doesn’t have James with him, I’ll be removing his teeth in a rather unpleasant manner.â€

Leeanne grimaced and tilted her head up to look at her big husband, â€I..think I’ll just go catch a movie. †she mumbled, wriggling out of his grip and patting him on the shoulder as she walked back into the kitchen, â€You know damn well that you should just end all of your troubles and have him arrested. It’s not like you don’t have any evidence to hold against him.â€Â She said, grabbing her big brown, knee-length coat and slipping it on.

Jhona just shook his head and sighed. She had no idea about the things he had done as a kid. Jayce had plenty of dirt against him as well. It just wouldn’t be as simple as turning him in. â€Well..y’know. He’s my brother. I’d rather the capital punishment be dealt to him by my own hands.â€Â He said, grinning and walking back into the kitchen. The kit-fox walked up to him and stood on her toes to give him a kiss, â€Well, do what you gotta’ do love. I’ll be back later. Please be careful.â€Â She whispered, rubbing his bicep as if she could soothe the tension out of him. He just gave her a pat on the butt and she hopped away from him, giggling. â€Go have fun,†he told her, laughing at his own hi-jinks, â€I’ll be fine.â€

The scoop on the door rang as Leeanne walked out the front door and started down the street, huddled in her coat. She slipped her sunglasses on over her face and headed down the street on foot.

*********************************************************************

Meanwhile, James was lying on the floor next to a bleeding Erica as she whimpered and sobbed. He couldn’t stop staring at her. The poor thing was a wreck. She looked so tired that even the darkness under her eyes was showing through her fur. Her wrists were bleeding, but it didn’t look like she had nicked anything fatal. He could imagine that she was feeling pretty faint.

Slowly, he got up the nerve to crawl over to her. He picked himself up to his hands and knees and hovered his head over hers. â€Erica, Erica..please don’t cry.†He whispered. She didn’t seem to respond. The girl just cried and sniffled and then cried some more. The boy fox sighed and leaned down to kiss at her tears. They still didn’t stop coming. At least she didn’t turn away from him. She was probably used to people being right in her face, despite the tears.Â

Desperate to help calm Erica down, James started licking the cum off of her little face. He certainly didn’t mind it; nor did he enjoy it. He just wanted to make amends for what he had had to do to her. Slowly the sniffling stopped and she just stared up at him while he cleaned her face.

After James had spat the big wolf’s cum in Erica’s face, Grey had walked into the kitchen, leaving the two of them to get ‘acquainted.’   He was just leaning back against the counter, sipping on a beer and watching the news on his kitchen’s TV. He felt good about his deal today. Finally, he had a ‘playmate’ for his daughter.

Once James was done running his tongue through the younger girl’s fur, he sat up and looked down at her. She sniffed and squirmed over closer to him, though still on her back. Her bony arms rose up and she showed him her wrists. â€Please…†she whimpered, bringing first the right one up to his face.Â

James’ eyes widened as he looked at the little gashes on her flesh. The fur there had been shaved and they were covered with little cuts that looked like they had been done by shaving razor. Although there was no doubt in his mind why she had cut herself, he still wondered why anyone in this house needed a razor. He hadn’t seen any bald spots on Grey; from what he could see.

â€Please.†She begged again, pushing the cut against the fox’s lips. James sighed and obliged. He began to lick softly at her wound. He grimaced at the metalic taste of her blood. He NEVER liked the taste of blood, but still he did what she asked. With what he had done, he felt it would take forever till he made amends.Â

Once the bleeding on Erica’s right wrist stopped, she pulled it down and looked at her left as well. The bleeding had slowed down enough to not really be of concern. She just whimpered again and squirmed until her head was in the boy’s lap and closed her eyes. James couldn’t help but smile. He reached his paw down and slowly petted her hair. It wasn’t long until he was sure she was asleep.   He kept looking over his shoulder to see if Grey was coming back from the other room, but eventually, he himself fell asleep, leaning against the couch with Erica’s head in his lap.

Grey had gotten pretty wrapped up in the show that had come on after the news. He was sitting on the counter, staring at the plasma screen hanging from the wall, when the doorbell rang. The big wolf growled at the interruption and hopped down to walk through the living-room. Even he couldn’t help but smile at the sight of his daughter and the fox boy cuddled up asleep on his floor.Â

The doorbell rang again and he mumbled, â€Alright alright,†and finished the trip to the door. When he swung it open he frowned even deeper when he saw Jayce again. â€What the fuck do you want?†he asked, trying to sound pleasant as he opened up the screen door.

Jayce frowned right back and looked up at the grey fox, â€I’ve got to get my brother back. I’ll find another way to pay you.â€Â He said, trying to push into the house. Grey held his ground, blocking the entrance. The big man grunted and stepped out onto his stoop.

â€Jayce.†He said, folding his arms over his chest, â€I’m keeping your brother. Why would you want him back? You don’t really want him do you? I can see it in your face. Is it Jhona? â€Â He looked down to the collar of the fox’s shirt and he grinned, â€Did he grab you by the shirt and throw you around? Your collar looks a little stretched.â€Â The young man closed his jacket to cover up the shirt, â€Perhaps,†he mumbled, looking away.Â

Grey chuckled and shook his head again, â€Now why would you listen to your brother? You’re more powerful than he is. Sure, he’s got the brawns. And maybe the brains, but if you work for me, you’ll have power. You’ve got a gun right? And a car. I’m sure you’re slick enough to sell for me. â€

Jayce’s eyes lit up at the proposition. The wolf continued, â€Tell you what. I keep your brother, you sell for me, and you’ll have my protection. And if Jhona just gives you any trouble…â€Â instead of finishing his sentence, Grey make a gun with his fingers and jabbed the ‘barrel’ into Jayce’s chest. He paused, then winked, and while bending his thumb, mouthed the word ‘pow.’

â€Wait right here.â€Â He grunted, disappearing back into his house. Jayce waited obediently outside. A few minutes later, Grey came back out and tossed a zipper bag in his direction. â€It’s just pot. Sell it, do what you want with the money. If you want to keep selling, come back and I’ll give you the wholesale price for anything else you want to sell.â€Â He instructed and then slammed the door closed in the fox’s face.

Jayce caught the bag and looked down at it. It wasn’t a lot, but hell, it was free weed! He tucked it under his jacket and walked down the path to his car. Once he got there, he turned to look at the house. He imagined himself in Grey’s position with all the power and money. He sure as hell wouldn’t be living in a four bedroom suburban house. He shook his head and drove away.

Grey looked out his front window, waiting for the car to drive off. When the fox was gone, he walked back into the kitchen, laughing. With the youngest brother as his slave, and the middle brother working for him, he only needed the biggest one to have the family covered. And he was pretty sure Jayce would off Jhona in a stupid fight anyway. He shook his head and turned up the TV. â€I’m sorry officer, I’ve never met the little prick in my life!†he shouted, laughing even harder.

Jayce pulled up to the Pathway Cinema and parked in the back parking lot. He grabbed his glock from the glove compartment and tucked it in the waist of his jeans. With his jacket pulled tightly around his chest, he leaned against the back wall and waited for the kids to come out.Â

He waited at least another half hour before anyone came out. A few love birds walked right to their cars. They looked too enthralled in each other to be a good sale anyway, so he didn’t even bother approaching them. After them, it was just one lone woman walking away from the front door and heading down the sidewalk on foot. She wore a big brown jacket. Jayce’s eyes widened with excitement. Leeanne! He couldn’t believe his luck. Quickly he dove back into his car and sped off, squealing the Civics’ tires on the asphalt as he drove away.

The fox knew where his sister-in-law was going and he knew the path too. She’d stick to main roads for sure, but eventually she’d have to walk past the alley a block down from the coffee shop. He came to a screeching halt behind the buildings that created the alley. It was deserted and dark. It was perfect.Â

Jayce patted the gun in his pants, making sure it was still there, and then walked to the edge of the shadows in the alley and waited. He nearly fell asleep while waiting. She sure walked slowly, but finally he heard footsteps. They had to be hers. They were so soft and light. He leaned his head against the brick behind him and counted down under his breath, ‘one…two..THREE!’Â

Leeanne walked past one of the buildings and past the mouth alleyway. She had tried to run past it. She was always scared of that alley. That night, she had a reason. She heard a clicking noise and the next thing she knew, there was a hand at the sleeve of her coat.Â

Jayce jerked Leeanne into the alley by the arm and in a swift motion, wrapped his own arm around her chest. The barrel of the gun pressed against her temple. In the deepest voice, he growled, â€Scream and die, bitch.â€Â

The cruel fox hadn’t expected her to call his bluff. She sucked in a breath, but only managed to get a squeak out before he slammed the back of her head into the brick and she dropped like a rock. He groaned and knelt down to pick his sister-in-law up. He could feel her chest rising and falling. â€Good, you’re still alive†Jayce whispered. His eyes closed and he inhaled her scent deeply. Already he could feel the bulge in his pants growing.Â
