Enjoy some violence and giggles.

Toriel was quietly reading in her chair. She could hear Asriel and Frisk in their room playing quietly. It had been over two months. They were back at school now. Things were as settled as they could get. And yet... it felt out of place. Asgore was gone. And Tori had no one to fall back on anymore. Of course there was Sans and Papyrurs, and the others. But the feeling was not the same.

She stood after a moment and walked to the kids' room. Knocking softly she opened the door. Asriel and Frisk were coloring in books. "May I come in?" They both nodded happily. Tori came in and sat with them. Pulling both into a warm hug, she spoke softly. "What shall we have for dinner?" Frisk was thoughtful, but Asriel had an answer ready. "Hot cots!!!" Frisk giggled and nodded. Tori was unsure how to make them. But she knew someone that did. "Alright then. I shall go call Sans."

Both seemed gleeful at that. Tori smiled, they were fond of their friends. Tori stepped back into the hall and lifted the phone. After a moment she smiled. "Hello Sans... would you care to come over? Yes. Well the children would like Hot Cats for dinner. And I have not the faintest Idea how to prepare them. Well yes, I believe they would love to have papyrus over for dinner as well."

It was not long after that the pair arrived. Sans and papyrus were nearly tackled by the kids as they came running. Papyrus was very happy indeed. Sans chuckled and pat them both on the head. "Hey easy. Might break a bone or something like that." Going to the kitchen he began working with Tori to cook dinner as Papyrus kept the kids entertained with heroic tales of his many adventures as a watchman of Snowdin.

After the kids had been put to bed that night, Papyrus returned home alone. Sans stayed with Tori, drinking coffee. She was fumbling for words as the pair passed bad jokes back and forth. It wasn't long before Sans had to leave too. "Sorry to leave Tori. I'm getting tired. And you look like you could use some sleep too." She nodded as she stretched. But there was a look on her face. It was unusual. Sans had seen it once before. After a moment he grew some courage and took a step closer. She was startled and opened her lips to say something.

Sans took that moment to kiss her. Toriel wanted to push him away. This was wrong, she was a married...... Her body stopped resisting. No. She was not married anymore. This was not betraying Asgore. She divorced him long ago. And rest his gentle soul, but she had her life to live now. Having spent so long in those ruins, she had grown unused to affection. Sans released the kiss after a moment. Tori was blushing heavily. So was he. He stepped back, expecting her to be angry. But, she smiled. Taking his hand, she slowly pulled him close again. Her lips met his gently.

The next morning was thankfully a day off from school. Toriel sat up slowly. She was smiling and giggly. Last night had been.... A dream come true. Sans was a gentleman in every sense of the word. And so much more than she imagined. As she stood from bed, she looked at her ruffled fur. She normally lay so still her fur barely needed a brushing in the morning. But this morning she had to smile. She would need a full shower just to get brushed and dressed. The scent of coffee and pancakes drifted into the room. She smiled, hearing the kids talking to Sans. Sounded like they were making plans for the day.

Tori was washed, dried, and ready within a few minutes. As she came to the kitchen, she had to giggle. Frisk and Asriel were giggling about the funny faces Sans had made on their pancakes. And Sans himself was washing dishes. She saw a place for her at the table already set up. "Momma!" Frisk and Asriel said together. Both hurried to hug her. Tori hugged back. Making sure to nuzzle each. "My children. It seems you are having a fun morning." "Yes Momma. Sans wants to take us all to the park today!"

Toriel smiled. "That sounds fun. What will we do there?" Frisk giggled, "Skip stones on the stream, hunt for snails. Maybe get NiceCream!!"

Toriel smiled. That sounded so nice. A quiet day of enjoyment. After breakfast she made sure the kids were all dressed up for the cold. It was just the way they liked it. A nice layer of snow on the ground. Crisp fresh air, and shining sunlight. Toriel called for a cab, and then got herself bundled up as well. The ride the park was filled with excitement. But arriving they found police and guards everywhere. The park was smoking ruble. Toriel was horrified and tried to hurry the kids back into the cab. But it was too late. Frisk had already seen it. And her clenched fists were shaking.

Her hard won peace was shattered. But by what? The answer revealed itself as a huge cloud of smoke poured up suddenly. Sans rushed between them and the smoke. But he was too late to save some of the police and bystanders. The smoke enveloped them. Toriel gasped as she saw a face in the smoke. And Asriel screamed. "CHARA NO!!!" Sans grit his teeth. "Get them out of here Tori!!!" Toriel grabbed the kids up in her arms and ran. Sans turned on the smoke as it formed into a large amalgamate. "You'e gonna get dunked Chara..."

Toriel ran as fast as she could, trying to put distance between them and the thing. All the while her eyes watered. Fearing for Sans' life. It wasn't long before she ran smack into Sans. He was clutching his arm, as it hung limply. Sans grabbed her shirt and pulled her around a corner. But they came face to face with the thing that was called Chara. Toriel set the kids down and pushed them behind her. She formed fire in her paws. "You will not hurt them..." no sooner had she spoke than she went on the attack.

The battle, while fought valiantly, was short lived. Toriel gasped as the tendril from the thing shot straight through her chest. She had time enough to look at Sans. "G...ggo.." she whispered before her body burst into dust. Sans grabbed the kids and ran. Using every shortcut he knew to put distance between them and the thing. Arriving back at his and Papyrus place he kicked the door in. "PAPYRUS! GET THE KIDS UPSTAIRS AND HIDDEN! NOW!" Papyrus, having never heard his brother yell in all his life, grabbed the kids and ran. Undyne and Alphys arrived soon after. With Mettaton in tow.

The group began boarding up the house. All the while the radio broadcast that an unknown creature, neither human nor monster was attacking everything it saw. Frisk tried her best to comfort Asriel, but she had no idea how really. After that, they sat to wait. Alphys tried her best to help sans, but all she could do was put his arm in a sling and bandage it. IT was broken, badly at that.

IT had been days, listening to the radio spout out warning after attack, after warning. Mettaton did her best to cheer everyone up, but to no avail. Finally she sat and waited. The warnings kept growing steadily closer. The monster was moving through the city, toward their neighborhood. Undyne was upstairs with the kids. She had a pile of spears beside her as she watched out the window.

"Undyne....kindness... wont work this time... will it?" The maritime monster looked toward the door. Frisk, bloodshot eyes and shaky knees. "I don't think so Frisk....Looks like it's down to brute force this time..." She sounded uncertain. Frisk sniffled. Coming to undyne she hugged her leg. "It took momma's soul didn't it?" Undyne frowned. She knew the truth... but should she tell Frisk. When Frisk looked up, she saw it in the child's eyes. She knew it was true too.

Nodding, Undyne sighed, "yes. It did... and it will pay dearly. I will make it pay. In ways more painful than anyone can imagine. I will avenge Tori... for you and Asriel." Frisk's eyes watered heavily. "Please... Undyne... Don't get hurt.... Please..." Undyne was filled with rage hearing this sweet child cry like that. She was.... Undyne's eye flashed. She stood and picked up a spear. "No more waiting..." Striding out she went right out the door. "Alphys, stay here. Mettaton, Help keep them safe. I'm trusting you and Papyrus. I am going to kill this thing...." "LOOK OUT!" Mettaton yelled. Undyne turned hard and swung. She hit the creature.

IT reared back and she jumped aside. Her spear danced as she ran circles around it, stabbing and swinging. But then she was struck and sent flying by a large fireball... Toriel's fireball. Undyne was sent into and through a tree. She lay passed out in the snow. Mettaton came charging in. The metal body was wonderful for defense. But none of her weapons seemed to make a dent in the thing. Even her most powerful attacks were nothing to it. It just shrugged them off. It was way too big.

Soon enough Mettaton began to get sluggish. Batteries were running low. The thing swung and knocked mettaton aside. Alphys was screaming in terror as Sans tried to get out there. But Papyrus got in his way. "Brother, stay back. Allow me to handle this." "No.. P.. papyrus... you... You will get killed." Papyrus put on some shades, and smirked. "I think not.. I have been... practicing." Papyrus stepped out.

The thing turned toward him. "Nice weather for a little battle. I, The Great Papyrus will defeat you. Surrender now, and you shall not be harmed. "its... powe....rful..." Mettaton stuttered out. Papyrus nodded, "But not as powerful as I." The thing swung at him, and he nimbly stepped aside. Sans was shocked. When had Papyrus gotten so fast? And agile?

The thing lashed out again and again, and couldn't land a blow. Sans began to get it. Why his brother was wearing shades. The sun was right overhead. It was glaringly bright with all that snow. And then the music started. From the window overhead, Asriel and Frist were holding a big boom box out the window, trying not to drop it. The thing began to grow angry, as Papyrus danced around it. And then he began hurling his own attacks. Sans watched in amazement as, while they were weak, they were steadily doing damage.

And then the blue bones began flying. The thing couldn't get out of the way. It was just too big to dodge. Sans was amazed... his brother was actually winning. He was doing just enough damage to keep it unbalanced without actually killing it. But he was staying out of its way. He was.... Brilliant. Papyrus flipped backward and away from a fireball, landing softly on the snow. The thing was panting and gasping. It was wounded badly. "KIDS! NOW!" Papyrus yelled. It turned trying to get to them, but they were already in the air. Holding hands as they jumped on its back.

They both grabbed on to it. And held on for dear life as it thrashed. "GET OFF ME!!! SHE IS MINE! YOU CANT HAVE HER BACK! SHE IS MINE!!"

To be continued.....
